Wen's Küche in Berlin

I come here regularly. Much of the menu is simply delicious.

We celebrated my birthday for the second time at Wen's Küche. This has got to be to be the best Chinese food ever had here in Berlin. Hope to celebrate here again next year. Thanks for a grand time!

Really good and traditional cuisine.

I heard about the good reviews so I grabbed something to take home today: Wonton in chili oil as a starter and crispy duck with vegetables as a main course. Both tasted extremely good and the portions were generous. The service was very friendly and I was completely satisfied. The ambience corresponds to a good snack bar, so there's nothing to complain about in that regard. I'll definitely come back!

I ate there for the first time with friends yesterday and it was simply fantastic. If you want to eat on site, it's best to call and ask if there are still tables available, as the restaurant doesn't have much space, but that's exactly what makes it so pleasant to eat there. The food is simply fantastically delicious and I will try the dishes one by one.

Great, authentic food! Large portions and tasty. Price/performance completely ok. Small restaurant or snack bar with seating. Shortcoming: Due to the nature of the snack bar, I thought the food would come quickly, but we had to be patient. Therefore not for a quick lunch break.

Yesterday I had a meal here again for a long time, then the shock: the owners have changed. The menu is from New Ocean, the food is good, the new operators are young and friendly. But there is something unusual about the food that is missing. The dishes are just cooked! New update! Haven't been there for a long time. Then last night the next attempt and again had the feeling that the owners had changed. The menu is more extensive. We had twice baked chicken and beans with beef. Both dishes were very tasty, a little hot and spicy! It was worth a visit.

Update: Unfortunately, we were surprised by what appeared to be no longer good meat and therefore over-salted, which unfortunately spoiled our appetite for further visits. What a shame! --- A good insider tip! Authentic Chinese cuisine! Very small and tasty. Be sure to reserve in advance.

I've been going there for 10 years, but this time was really my last time. I don't care what someone orders after me, if I order with chicken then I want it too. 10€ pointless. Almost puked on the duck meat. I ordered the number clearly and clearly, if someone orders duck 4 times AFTER me, do I have to get duck? Really frustrating. Never go there again.

very delicious.. we are asian family and familiar with asian flavour. This restaurant is really authentic and has really something special that make the cuisine above other chinese restaurant in Berlin. It has become our family restaurant since last year. The restaurant has around 7-8 tables inside and can put more tables outside around summer time. The service is really friendly. In the busy time, we need to wait around 30-45 minutes until our order served in our table. But still the food here are really worth the wait.

simply 10/10 I would like to give 6 stars. I am a restaurateur myself and I have to honestly say there is almost no comparable authentic cuisine in Berlin. Service extremely friendly. Vegan options are also incredible. If you don't try it, you're missing out!

Very good food, the dumplings were deliciously filled. I was missing a bit of a sharper sear and a bit more flavor in the form of a sauce. Otherwise, absolute recommendation and I will definitely try out the rest.

They don't speak English and the menu is in Deutsch. They are friendly and patient as I checked things with translate options.

The best Chinese I've ever been to. I wouldn't enter the store from outside. Very inconspicuous and I would have just walked past. But it was recommended to me and then I went with it just let a friend in. The food was amazing. Totally delicious. Authentic Chinese cuisine. I can only recommend everyone to eat here. Food okay, a lot of things are cooked spicy. Had to wait a long time for food, lots of phone orders. Very small inside, therefore few seats and bad air, tables outside directly on the Ma-Damm.

TLDR; Eat here if you have loads of time and patience, if you are not very hungry (yet) and only(!) if you get a table outside. The Chinese food is good. I really enjoyed the starters, crunchy cucumber and Wan Tan in chili oil. The crispy fried eggplants were too sweet, the green beans were slightly too hard but tasty, Mapo Tofu was good. Now about service and atmosphere. I spent my evening sweating, coughing and sneezing for three hours. Why? Firstly: Dear owners, please install a suitable divider between dining area and kitchen, the curtain is not enough. The heat was bad. That single fan in the corner was overwhelmed. It still dutifully distributed all chili infused fumes from the kitchen which kept tickling and burning in our lungs and eyes all evening. Notice how your guests have coughing fits every couple of minutes? Secondly: Get organised! Most importantly: Prioritize your restaurant guests over delivery! We waited for two hours(!) until the last main dish arrived. You only have seven tables overall. Two other parties arrived after us but got their food first. How? The kitchen was very busy, we heard cooking sounds all the time but did not see much food being carried out to the guests. So I assume: Delivery. If you cannot handle that many customers, just reduce the number of tables inside or restrict the number of deliveries. You ladies from the service were very sweet and friendly, once you noticed us. You work very hard and you do your best to calm down upset customers. The second star is for you. If you realize that you messed up a lot, why not apologize by including one of the drinks on the house? Unfortunately, the experience was not pleasant overall. If I would live nearby, I might try to pop by for lunch. Outside. On my day off. With a good book.

Here After 2 hours of waiting in an extremely hot restaurant, our food finally arrived. The air was heavy and full of chili. All the people were coughing and sneezing the whole time because of the smell of chili. The delivery service was probably the highest priority. Some of the people who came after us also got their food before us. The food was OK. But I will never wait 2 hours for it again. !!!

An absolute “insider tip”! Few tables, the menu has been expanded a bit, the food tastes really incredibly good. Main courses on average cost €14, you won't regret a cent.

We had the sweet and sour ribs, dumplings and pork with vegetables. Everything was very, very tasty. The homemade lemonade and Chinese beer are also recommended! Service was also very friendly.

This is one of the best places to experience homey chinese cuisine in Berlin. They're a family run restaurant; small and quaint but almost always a hopping joint. All sorts of various groups, individuals, couples, regulars, as well as newcomers enjoy the place. When I went just last week, there was even a fellow Chinese couple sitting next to us who exclaimed that even they couldn't cook one of the dishes they ordered -this- good. 🤭 The family is very friendly and the atmosphere is relaxed. A recommendation I thought I'd throw out there, if you're the kind of person who doesn't like tofu but wants to or is willing to still try (a few of my friends don't like tofu but they made an exception for this one) :: try the #200.

A real insider tip in Mariendorf. Authentic food is prepared here with a lot of love. Everything is very reminiscent of street food, as it is freshly prepared in the food stalls of Asia, absolutely recommended! The service is very friendly and accommodating. Definitely reserve a table! A little tip, spicy means spicy here!

One of the best Chinese restaurants in town. Right up there with Deli House and Feast. Small, cosy space with homely vibes.

My sister and I visited the restaurant on a recommendation. And I have to say it was worth it. The restaurant is small but comfortable. And offers enough seating, both inside and outside. It's best to reserve a table if you want to eat here. Because the restaurant is popular and well attended. The food is delicious, service is great and a pleasant atmosphere. You can't complain about the price either. I will definitely come here again.

I haven't eaten such good crispy duck for a long time. The service is very nice, price/performance is right. The shop is quite small so you should reserve in advance. Cash payment only.

The acidity was sought in the pork ribs in sweet and sour sauce. The sauce was just sweet (soy sauce from a bottle?), no hint of spices etc. There were 11 ribs, 3 of which were tender, the rest just dry. A pity.

I came across you by chance! The store smelled so good that I reserved a table for the next day. The waiting times are a little long, but they're worth it! For me the best and most authentic Chinese food I have ever eaten. Great, keep it up!

Wen's Küchen is located at Mariendorfer Damm 175, in 12107 Berlin. This is a Chinese restaurant, but it is very small. Apparently they don't take card payments there. This is typical of Chinese and Vietnamese establishments. It would be atypical if it were different. During my visit yesterday I was seated just to the right of the door. I went straight back. Terrible terrible service!!! Never going back again. Despite it being a tiny place, as we entered we had to wait 10 minutes until we were acknowledged and got the menus. We places our order which took forever. Once they finally took the order, our beers also took a while to arrive. We waited for an hour as we watched the takeaway deliveries being prioritised. We just sat there, ignored. We only ordered 2 dishes and we watched 6 takeaway deliveries being packaged and sent out. 4 orders were taken after we already placed our order. This is the first time I see a restaurant prioritise takeaway orders over sitin customers. Terrible service, if they can't handle 4 tables they should shut down.

They made us wait for 50 minutes as they put out the orders of take out customers that came in after we did! The service is terrible and the place it’s a hit or miss kind of spot, when we were there last time it was good but it’s not that great. We left without any food and will never come back.

We went to Wen's Kitchen on a Friday evening and luckily got a seat without waiting. To eat we had the braised ribs, wontons, onion beef and steamed dumplings. Chinese food with a difference! Even though egg fried rice is on the menu, Wen's offers more than the dishes you would normally find presented. A true taste experience.

A small, nice Thai restaurant or more of a snack bar? Everyone should decide for themselves, even if there are only a few seats here, you don't always have to wait too long until you get a seat, but it can sometimes happen that you have to wait outside because everything inside is completely full. The two service staff are very diligent and genuinely strive to always be of service to the guests, while someone is working in the back of the kitchen and preparing the dishes that are exactly the same as the dishes shown on Instagram and are in no way inferior, so I don't just give this tip a rest I can't pass it on with a conscience, but I'm even reluctant to reveal it because the store is as good as described.

A few years ago I spotted the small shop while driving past and thought it was a delivery service/snack bar. On the recommendation that they have excellent Chinese dishes, we tried the small restaurant and were thrilled. The place is so tiny (I think there are only 20 seats) that it's a good idea to call ahead and make a reservation if you want to dine in on a Friday or Saturday evening. It works during the week and in the afternoon. The young woman in service is very nice, the interior is unadorned and very simple. But the food... wonderful. We have a few favorites: beef with cumin, fried eggplant with chicken, all the dim sums, all the gon bao dishes... oh, it's all really good, fresh and moderately priced. Addition: A really stupid mistake to praise the place like that, because since then it has always been packed. The shop is busy even at lunchtime. But the kitchen is also great. My latest favorite: wontons in chili oil - I already dream about them at night. Suggestion: scare away the pointless betting shop next door and take over the rooms ;-)))
