Ni’s Restaurant 倪记 in Berlin

First time trying this type of food and with the recommendations given to me by one of the friendly waitresses, one of the best dishes I have ever tried without a doubt. The noodles, the vegetables and the meat were incredible 10/10, a great flavour. We left very happy. It's worth it. The place is very nice and the service was very pleasant.

Really highly recommended, I was here for lunch and came across it through the Neotaste app. There was hardly anything going on on a Monday lunchtime and I was served quickly. The food also came in record speed. The menu states how long most dishes take, which varies between 6 and 15 minutes. The menu is huge and there are various special offers for 2, 3 or more people. There is also a section for small appetites. There really is something for everyone. The prices also include a bit of everything. My handpulled noodles only cost €10.90, but there are also dishes for €20 or €6. My noodles (One Meter Noodle Biang) were incredibly tasty, I can only recommend them! Service was also very friendly. In the women's room, one of 3 toilets was very disgusting and one of 2 faucets didn't work, that could be addressed. Otherwise everything was great and I will definitely come back when I'm in Berlin again!

A real insider tip for lovers of Asian cuisine! The menu offers a diverse selection of traditional and contemporary dishes, from crispy duck to aromatic wok dishes. The dishes are fresh, tasty and excellently seasoned. Vegetarians also get their money's worth with a large selection of dishes. We'd love to come back ;)

Great service! The environment is great! I'm also very satisfied with the food. I can't get any bad reviews at all. I was worried before I went there. The result exceeded expectations... The price is also the average Chinese food price in Berlin, but the overall experience is much better. Great!

I was here for the first time yesterday and was pleasantly surprised! The Hainan Chicken and special drinks were delicious but the best thing was the service. Our waitress Mimi was super nice and helpful, she immediately felt like a close friend and made the evening a highlight! In any case, keep it up

We've been here several times for the 1m noodle, but recently we had a menu for two for the first time. It was incredibly tasty, versatile and filled us up a lot. We were very positively surprised and are looking forward to the next time!

Recommended, but found it to be mediocre, which is purely a subjective opinion. The food is definitely artfully prepared and pampers the visual senses - but out of 5 different dishes, only one tasted really tasty, but the others were still good. Atmosphere takes some getting used to, but the staff is very friendly and very quick. If someone doesn't want to have the usual Asian experience, then it's definitely recommended. Maybe I'll try again with other dining companions and correct the rating if necessary - but that was my opinion today. Thank you for the service.

Went there to eat some authentic Chinese food. Food is excellent. Tang Bao is delicious and monkfish szechuan style. Also Hainan chicken recommended. We decided to try all the menu and definitely will come back!!

The 1 meter noodles in chili oil are really delicious and not really spicy either. The service is very nice and the restaurant is very nicely decorated, you can stay here for longer.

This restaurant is rather mediocre in terms of food and service… We had their noodle soup with braised pork belly but the noodle used was the wrong type. The authentic version should be with thin/ medium thin noodles and in this shop they used noodles that are 5 mm thick. The one meter noodle was just fine. Too thick. Also, we ordered 红油抄手，but what was served is more like 红油饺子。The chilli oil is rather lacking and what we got as sauce in the plate was more like an overall salty pool of soy sauce. The cooked vege was also quite mediocre, feels like they boiled the vege and slapped some thick oyster sauce on the top.. P.S., the restroom area stinks 😷, it seems that something is wrong with the sewage system and faul smell is lingering in that corner.. A total kill for the restaurant atmosphere.

Not recommended at all. It wasn't seasoned at all - probably not even with salt 😭 My girlfriend and I once ate duck with mango salad & then a RECOMMENDED vegetarian dish that tasted like vegetables that had only been cooked with water once. The duck portion was really small and there wasn't EVEN SUCH. We paid €40 and I just wanted to cry. We then went out to eat AGAIN because it didn't fill me up. If you look closer you can see that only simple foods were slapped together.

I’ve waited a very long time to visit this place and now I regret not having come earlier. The food is delicious and it came shortly after we ordered. Staff was friendly and the atmosphere was great.

The food was mediocre but the biggest problem is that they charged us for a dish (Eggplant Sweet and Hot ) that wasn’t served. When I called them, they checked and agreed that it was a mistake in the kitchen and that they would refund me, I gave them my PayPal details as they’ve requested. After a week of no refund, I called again and they said they would refund. But they never refunded me. Dishonest owner! Stay away!

On a visit to Berlin. Craving for Chinese food. Happy to say that food was good. Liked the generous servings of vegetables with our noodles : 1 m long noodles n the soup noodles with char siew. The xiao long paus were good. The teas were soothing to our sore throats😊. Thank you too for the polite and prompt service.

I went there for dinner for the first time with my girlfriend. The decor was nice and everything seemed promising at first. I ordered the soup dumplings (just under €10), but the first bite gave me a gag reflex - a clear sign that something was wrong. Still, I didn't want to waste the food and tried to keep eating. A big mistake. During the night I developed a fever and vomited several times. I lay completely flat for two days - clear food poisoning. This was the worst I've ever had and I travel to Southeast Asia every year. As I read the comments, I realized that I'm not the only one who has experienced something like this. We were also offered something free on site in exchange for a 5-star review. So don't necessarily trust the comments. No recommendation!

I have visited this place 2 years ago and I loved the food but when I visited yesterday I was really disappointed. We ordered the one meter Noodles and it was not cooked well, the sauce tested like nothing and it was not spicy at all. The service wasn’t great as well. I definitely don’t recommend this place

We went to the restaurant based on the good reviews and were unfortunately very disappointed. For 20 euros per dish I expect a little more than just fried meat and a lot of decoration that isn't really edible. The service wasn't optimal either, the rice was forgotten and the service wasn't particularly friendly either. When we were in the restaurant it was quite cold and the music was relatively loud. All in all, we had the feeling of a fast food restaurant, so next time we would probably go for KFC, hence only 2 stars.

Had a great dinner date here. Staff is super friendly and the food preparation was quick. The fried rice was missing some wokhey and a little salt but with some soy sauce it was a solid dish. Mapo Tofu was also lacking a bit of depth but it wasn't overly spicy and easy to eat. We initially came for the haianese chicken rice. The chicken it self had superb quality and the skin was as gelatinous as it should be. The chicken soup wasn't clear and fragrant as Ive known from Singapore, it's more like a chicken soup which by it self was also good. Besides the meat quality the star was the rice which was anything but conventional nor traditional or at least how I'm used to but it was super fluffy and fragrant. Something I haven't tasted before in that combination but I was surprised. Rice was also lacking some salt but again a bit of soy and it was right there. Price point is a bit on the steep side. But for a dinner date after a stroll in the city it's just great.

Unfortunately, me and two of my other friends got food poisoning because of the chicken they served in this place. The food was unnecessarily oily and what's the point of all these chilis really? Perfect place to mess your stomach up

I love this restaurant, the 1m noodle, the tofu with salt and pepper and the eggplant are my absolute favorite dishes.

I liked the restaurant. We were served quickly and the staff was very polite to us. The prices were a bit higher than we are used to, and the food turned out to be unexpectedly spicy for us; however, we are satisfied with the visit despite everything. I recommend paying attention to the big dishes. The special dishes are all spicy, as we understood. The restaurant has a very convenient location - not far from Museum Island. Therefore, I definitely recommend this place.

My son recommended the restaurant to me and I'm very happy about it👍 a really very good one meter noodle in aromatic chili sauce - you really don't need any extras 👍 - except maybe a few xiao long bao. Surprisingly attentive and charming service! Absolutely recommended as a couple or for groups.

The food was nice but very few vegetarian/vegan options. If you order the different options, the veggie filling is always the same.

The service was ok. I would have liked a little more attention. For some unknown reason the gin they had at the bar wasn't sold. The hand-pulled noodles were comparatively very thick. The braised beef came cut into large cubes. This made it very difficult to eat. I would have preferred it as a pulled version with the noodles. The soup dumplings could have had more flavor. The concept is good, but the finesse is missing.

Delicious food, spacious could be wheelchair accessible as in only 3 inch step up to entrance. Bathroom has a bit of a scent but guess it is due to airflow and Berlin esq. building but Place looks clean staff relaxed and friendly and spoke English. The food was delicious one of the best wanton and soup in Berlin.

The noodles are great, and the food is generally very tasty. The toilets are unfortunately bad (dirty) and the acoustics in the restaurant are unfortunately also unpleasantly loud. It's a shame, I expected more.

Food was good but expensive for the amount… we got a “big dish” but it was a child portion… the noodles didn’t have any ANY salt… disappointed and lost a lot of money

I wanted very badly to like this place. As a fan of Chinese cuisine, I find myself disappointed with the portion sizes, prices, and flavor. I'll start with the one positive aspect, which was the absolutely delicious braised pork belly. The texture and flavor of the dish were honestly great. Now the rest. The beef with lotus root was fine, nothing otherworldly, but the portion size was miniscule and it was like 75-80% veggies. The Xiao Long Bao was a bit flavorless as was the sauce, though the biggest issue was that it was served lukewarm. Lastly, the noodles with peanut sauce were hypertension friendly, at least in that they had no salt. It might be a misconception from other Chinese restaurants, or the fact that they're called "big dishes" or the fact that there is a spinning center in the table that seems to be made for sharing, but the dishes barely being a portion for one person while costing around 18 euros and coming with only a tiny serving of rice broke my heart into similarly small pieces. They also brought out the plates so slowly one after the other, which is a failire on a basic of restaurants one would not expect. Sadly, I cannot recommend this place.

Food poisoning after visiting a restaurant – Absolutely not recommended I had a soup at the restaurant that had the consistency of jelly, as well as shrimp with vegetables and rice. Shortly afterwards I suffered the worst food poisoning of my life and even had to go to the hospital. Absolutely not recommended – eating here is dangerous.

The ambience and service was good however food and flavors overall didn’t quite hit the mark (some good some only disappointing). Meter long noodles were good and the shrimps in wasabi sauce. the chicken was so dry - it was only fried chicken with no sauce or flavor otherwise - had to dip it in the chili oil of noodles. Although the chillis in the chicken were off the roof spicy. Also ordered the vegetable roll which was definitely not cooked well. Could taste that some filling is still cold inside while some of it was hot perhaps because it wasnt cooked at the right temperature. Not some place I’d want to give another go. They serve dishes as they get prepared so starters could come after main course which was kind of weird esp since the soup came after the noodles.

We had an awesome experience when traveling to Berlin. This place is in “Mitte” which makes it convenient while in town for only 1-2 days. No need to go out of the way for an experience. Atmosphere and service was awesome. While food was good while adjusted for the local / international taste, still very good in combination with the atmosphere.

The smaller dishes are very small and therefore overpriced, service is moderate, quality/taste is rather average.

I had noodles with beef and xiaolongbao, the beef was tender and juicy. The amount is not too much, and also cheap, so you can try different things without having to worry not being able to finish them.

Almost €17 for a small portion of chicken with nuts (lazy chicken). Hand-pulled noodles and flavorless dim sum. There are much better Chinese bistros in Berlin, for example a little further north between Senefelder Platz and Rosa-Luxemburg-Platz

The Hainanese chicken rice is great with oil and onions, but I don’t know what’s wrong with the rice. It’s not very tasty. The braised beef noodles are a bit lighter, but still delicious. The fried noodles are delicious😋

Beautiful interior! Nice and friendly staff! I had Hainanese Chicken Rice. Chicken - 5/5 (stelkar!) Broth - 4/5 (good flavours but missing a lot of salt) Rice - 3/5 (The rice was rather bland and a disappointment. Not sure if they actually boil it in chicken broth. I don't think so.) Sauces - 4/5 (Two of the three sauces were pretty good but I hoped the Sriracha based one would have been something more interesting.) Overall: I will definitely go again to try some more dishes but the rice made me a bit sceptical if this will become a staple for me.

Amazing Chinese @ a great location 👌👌

My girlfriend and I were in the area and decided to have lunch at Ni’s. The decor of the restaurant is amazing and our waitress was very attentive. The food was great and authentic but of course there’s a chef’s individual touch. Highly recommended if you’re in the Hackesche Markt area. Personally I would travel for great food.

A stylish place with delicious dishes and nice staff. It smelled so good of different spices 🤤You feel full after eating

As the general trend in Berlin goes, dishes are fairly authentic (and no longer the "Chop Suey" type. I can recommend the eggplant and the xiaolongbao - although they came without the necessary chinese spoon (shaozi). Service was quick, smart and helpful.

We had a really nice evening in Ni's Restaurant. We came here with friends who have been here before and we were not disappointed. We liked the fact that you can order your own large dishes as well as small dishes to share so that you can feel like you're in China. If you want to share, it's best to grab one of the round tables at the back of the store, where you can rotate the middle part ;-) The location is of course super central between Oranienburger Straße and Hackescher Markt, but the shop still looks a bit inconspicuous from the outside. The food was simply delicious, we didn't have anything we didn't like. We ordered across the menu, from dumplings to green asparagus with water chestnuts to homemade meter noodles. The service was friendly and flexible, we were there on a Friday evening and there was enough space. We were four adults, two children, one dog and were treated very friendly. The prices are OK for the location. The food tastes super fresh, comes quickly and leaves nothing to be desired. The drinks could be a little cheaper, but we don't want to complain here.

I am also Shanghainese and know what the food in my homeland should taste like. But I am so impressed with the food and service here and always enjoy coming with my family and friends.

Hainanese chicken rice and hot and sour soup were pretty good. The hot and sour soup is also recommended. The red bean double skin milk is relatively average and the quantity is small. Big bad review for oily noodles! Big bad review. I have never seen such thick oily noodles. They are sour, spicy, salty, hard to bite, and the portion is small. Too thick. A large piece of green vegetables with roots in the noodles. Please Chinese people don’t try oil noodles, don’t try it

I was here with friends to have some Chinese food. We ordered three different types of food. The service was friendly and quick. The food was okay but very pricey and nothing special. I know many other places which offer more tasty food for a much lower price. I personally didn't like the atmosphere because it is loud (main Street and lots of Tram passing) but that is my personal opinion.

The food was delicious but you won't get far here with a small wallet. To charge €10 for beef skewers that have minimal ingredients is really steep. Plus, the whole thing is really VERY unappetizing when fruit flies are constantly flying around your nose and you're just trying to avoid accidentally eating one. The whole thing also has something to do with hygiene.

We come here at least once a week to eat the one-meter noodles. It’s sooo yummy that it makes you addicted. Definitely recommend ✌️

Attracted by good reviews and the prospect of tasty xiao long bao in Berlin, we went to Ni's Restaurant. We were there at lunchtime and ordered two dishes from the lunch menu for €8.50 each. We liked them very much and everything was fresh. We also ordered xiao long baos from the normal menu, which we also found very good. The expensive drinks prices are a bit negative, a small cola (0.2l) costs €3.00. The wooden cooking containers could be cleaner in the corners. All in all a good restaurant especially at lunchtime for the cheap prices and the fresh food.

There were many small flying insects near our seats and flying into the food. The attitude of the waiter was also not good. After we entered the store, the people at the table behind us ordered before us and finished eating and left early. My companion and I each ordered a bowl of noodles, and my companion didn't wait for his noodles until I finished eating (about half an hour). I wanted to withdraw but they said no. The fried noodles looked ok but the noodles were very hard which was disappointing.

Unfortunately I only give the restaurant 3 stars. Unfortunately it doesn't live up to the hype. The atmosphere is relaxed and the decor is nice too. The crew was also very nice and now the big drawback. I ordered a Chicken Hainan with Char Siu. This is steamed chicken with grilled pork in char siu marinade. Both dishes were lukewarm (I was surprised why it arrived so quickly). Hainan is normally served with Pak Choi vegetables and cucumbers. Here it was with cucumbers and lettuce. Both types of meat tasted very artificial. I can hardly describe it...it was like having a ready-made marinade or ready-made seasoning. It's not authentic. I also politely told the staff that. I can slowly understand why many Asian users didn't give it a good rating. Unfortunately, some things about the food need to be improved.

This trendy Chinese spot is in a great location near Hackescher Markt and has a really modern and hip interior! There's lots of space inside and the owners have made a conscious effort to foster an artistic vibe which we liked a lot! There is a varied menu with a range of dish sizes (and prices), but we found the main page the best bet for what we were looking for which was of course some spicy Chinese noodles! I felt that the wide flat noodles here are really authentic with some high quality chili oil and leaning on a minimalist approach which is really good if you're looking for the real deal. It may not necessarily be your thing if you don't like the simplistic combination of chili oil and noodles, but that said there is plenty on the menu with more of a diverse mix of ingredients, and you can add-on different things. The customer service is generally very good for Berlin. The staff are all quite young and fit in with the trendy, cool style of the restaurant. They pleasingly offered free tap water which will be necessary (or some other drink) because the food is indeed pretty spicy! In summary, it's a stylish and authentic-leaning restaurant in a great location... Check it out!

Our food (rice dish with beef and pasta dish with pork) came to the table quickly, but the taste was rather average. The young service was present. We were in the restaurant with our baby and a chair was immediately brought out and we were offered a small bowl of pure rice for the child. Any rice that ended up on the floor was swept up with a smile. So we really can't complain about the service. However, what really has a lasting negative impact on the experience here is the lack of cleanliness. The card consists of completely tattered, dirty sheets of paper on a clipboard. A laminator really doesn't cost much and would be more than a good investment. But what's worse are the countless (fruit) flies that accompany you everywhere in the restaurant in large numbers. A little tip: put vinegar and detergent in small glasses overnight and at least a few flies would have fallen into the trap the next morning. Repeat the process until the desired result is achieved. It's really unbearable and extremely unsavory. We won't be coming back again for the time being and hope to give some impetus with our constructive criticism. Thanks!

The speed was a bit slow. I originally wanted to eat an ice cream before I left, but after waiting for half an hour there was no movement, I couldn't wait any longer and left. The bathroom was not hygienic at all and it was terrible that flying insects were flying all over the toilet.
