Very tasty Indian and German cuisine. Very cozy restaurant

After our last visit in September 2024, the following suggestions for the Wendel: 1.) Please serve food warm. If it is served lukewarm and the guest returns it, then serve a completely new dish instead of the one that was eaten and just warmed up. 2.) Service is in urgent need of improvement. Is it really so difficult to find specialists for the catering industry instead of temporary help, who then do not fully take orders and/or completely ignore the guests if there are any questions? 3.) Have the outdoor furniture and dirty umbrellas professionally cleaned. We have been eating at Wendel more or less regularly since summer 2023. We now drive to Vielank and Schwerin, and also to Dannenberg to eat out. Lüchow's gastronomy needs a fundamental concept on how the gastronomy there can be positioned more broadly and better.

Were there for the eighth or ninth time now. Have always been satisfied so far. Ordered the steak medium. A small steak arrived (definitely not 230g as described) which was completely cooked through. The mushrooms and onions were completely swimming in fat. We said so when we paid and all we got was a shrug of the shoulders. It's a shame but it was the last time there for us.

Always happy, we are there on average every 2 weeks and today I took my two children with me for the first time. Food tasted like I can't complain, everything is 5 stars for me, keep it up thumbs up 👍

We were thrilled, the food was very tasty, there was Indian and fried fish. The wine was great. Great selection. The service was quick and very nice. The team there works very well together. We'll be back.

We find it crazy that for a fairly dry burger with fries (chilli cheese for 14.90 euros) an additional 1.20 euros are charged for 1x mayonnaise and 1x ketchup sachet, without this being said when reordering.

Passed the beer garden and thought the corner was nice and stopped here. Delicious Holsteiner Schnitzel and lovely service rounded things off. Thanks for the pen 😁

Very good food, tasted very good, my portion could have been a little larger but everything else was great.

The food was delicious, unfortunately the service was a bit spotty (we could have easily made even more sales with the drinks, there were 16 of us) unfortunately after the 2nd round of drinks we were told that we would close at 9.30 p.m. and there was nothing more..

We ate outside. Our table wasn't wiped down even when asked. Unfortunately, the service made us wait an unpleasantly long time. It seemed like an eternity to the child. To be honest, it was close too. Luckily the food was ok. Just a little. When we were finished and said that we would like to pay, the waitress came with the receipt after some time (half an eternity). Since she didn't ask how we wanted to pay beforehand, I told her that we would like to pay with an EC card. At the time, this had probably not been possible for two days. The way this fact was conveyed to us implied that we should have known it. Very unpleasant situation. There was no notice at the entrance nor were we informed about it in advance.

Food was good, portion wasn't big enough for my hunger

Well located inn in the middle of Lüchow. Traditional German cuisine and also very good Indian cuisine. If you want to eat here, you should make a reservation, because even on a Wednesday we had very good luck without a reservation.

You just have to eat here! Regardless of whether it's Indian cuisine, e.g. Butter Chicken (very, very tasty), or German cuisine, e.g. Schnitzel Jägerart, it tastes really good at Wendel. I really like the atmosphere. Open framework, really well done. We really enjoy coming here to eat.

As a native of Lüchower, I have known Wendel from the beginning. I recently ate an Indian dish while passing through there. TERRIFIC ! Beautifully prepared, tastes typically Indian and everything is fresh. Absolutely recommended! I'll be able to enjoy it again on July 27th :)

Very tasty Indian food. But there is also a lot on offer for other tastes. Nobody has to leave hungry. Ambience rather rustic.

Unfortunately, the asparagus from the lecture was poorly peeled and extremely hard. It's a shame, because otherwise the food is actually much better

Was here with my daughter, we had salmon and Indian grill. Both were excellent. Service is very friendly and attentive without seeming distant. At the end we treated ourselves to a cocktail that was a very good mix at an absolutely fair price. Next time we are in the area we will definitely be back here.

I'm here today with my father for dinner and drinks. In short ; Rarely have I seen such a cozy restaurant with such delicious food and drinks. And the waitresses were very friendly. Hats off, stay the same!

Great offer with different cards. Indian dishes in many variations. Please note the daily menu for special offers. Quick preparation and great service. Good price-performance ratio. Gladly again and again. Be sure to visit the beer garden in summer.

Yes, what can you say: Ambience, very cozy, the food is very good and the price/performance ratio is great. The service is attentive and quick. So you have to have an absolute recommendation 👍

Wanted to have a beer in the garden as an individual shortly after it opened today. I was told to wait a moment, then the waitress said that everything was reserved. Well, if you can't find a solution for this, you don't seem to need it. It doesn't work at all! 😡👎🏻

That food tasted good. The employees are very friendly and helpful. Requests are taken into account.

The Wendel has a nice atmosphere with a cozy beer garden. In summer you can sit outside very well. There is a German and an Indian menu. The food is very tasty and the service is friendly and quick. The icing on the cake is the delicious Wendland Bräu. We can only recommend it.

The food is great and the staff is very friendly, but I missed clearing the dishes and asking if we would like something to drink.

One Thousand and One Nights meets Wendland cosiness - it was actually my very first time here and I have to say: amazing! I am more than thrilled with the excellent and very friendly service. I ate Indian food and it was just great. You can clearly tell that everything is freshly cooked and the scampi was really tasty. The presentation of the food is absolutely top class and the meal has become a happening. I will definitely come back!

We were very happy, but got the worst food we had had in a long time. For a price of around 45 euros per person you would have expected more...

Worth a visit at any time of the year! Such attentive service, really good food and the atmosphere is great. Indian and German cuisine, very tasty. Even when the restaurant was busy, our order was ready after 20 minutes. We really enjoy going there!

Always friendly and nice employees. Very good and courteous service. Fresh and very good food, whether Indian, burgers or other dishes. Individual requests are taken into account. Children are welcome, there is a swing in the garden as well Children's chairs are available.

Personal: An sich freundlich, aber wenig aufmerksam. Nach 3maligem Hinweis auf Glutenunverträglichkeit bekam ich doch panierten Fisch. Und das obwohl es laut Karte ein Gericht ohne Gluten sein sollte (wozu gibt es die Hinweise, wenn es dann nicht stimmt). Mein Vertrauen ist leider nicht groß genug, um hier zu essen. Essen: Mein Mann war mäßig zufrieden. Er hatte Schnitzel mit Pilzen. War in Ordnung. Ein Extra-Wunsch (Rosmarin Kartoffeln statt Bratkartoffeln) kostet 3,50 … in andren Restaurants ist das Service am Gast. Ambiete: nett, Fachwerk

Ein tolles Lokal mit super Bedienung. Essen ist super. Ich esse gerne die Burger Gerichte dazu ein Wendland Bräu, einfach lecker 😋.

Sehr schönes Restaurant. Das Essen ist sehr vielfältig, tolle Atmosphäre, sehr nette Bedienung, vor allem die junge hübsche Schwarzhaarige. Ich komme gerne wieder:)

Sehr empfehlenswert. Es gibt deutsche und indische Küche, Portionen sind reichlich und immer schmackhaft. Man kann individuell Wünsche äußern. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Wir finden das Lokal sehr gemütlich und gehen gerne hin. Es gibt einen Mittagstisch und immer wieder saisonale Gerichte.

Immer wieder ein Genuss ... Bin alle paar Jahre mal beruflich im Wendland unterwegs und es ist ein Muss dort auf ein Wendlandbräu einzukehren. Mittlerweile gibt es dort auch indische Küche... Ich mags und es passt widererwartend ins Ambiente.

Wir waren mit 15 Leuten dort Essen, das Restaurant war generell sehr voll, trotzdem war Essen und Service richtig gut. Wir kommen gerne dorthin. Gute Deutsche und Indische Küche, freundliches Personal.

Sehr leckere indische Gerichte. Schönes Restaurant mit super Servicepersonal. Wir kommen gern wieder und probieren uns durch die vielfältige Speisekarte. Auch für Vegetarier und Veganer ist etwas dabei. :)

Essen war total lecker. Bei den Burgern sind Pommes dabei, also keine dazu bestellen 😉 Preise waren bisschen teuer aber ging.

Alles bestens, nette Ambiente, zwei Speisekarten, eine auch für indische Speisen, gepflegte Getränke....

Meine Pute war absolut trocken. Lamm Medium rare bestellt und mehr als durchgebrannt bekommen. Und zur Krönung war das Essen nur lauwarm. Schade.

Hier passt alles! Indisches Essen hat eine gute Schärfe und schmeckt nicht so eingedeutscht. Gerne wieder!

Sehr gemütlich mit gutem Service und tollem Essen. Hier müssen wir unbedingt noch einmal hin.

Ein sehr gemütliches Restaurant mit freundlichem Personal. Das Essen kam recht schnell, war liebevoll angerichtet und sehr lecker! Es gibt zwei verschiedene Speisekarten. Einmal mit indische Gerichten und eine Karte mit Schnitzel, Burger, Fisch, Salat, etc..

Wir waren dort vor einer Woche essen und alles war sehr lecker.!!!! Loben muss ich zudem auch, dass hier mal Schnitzel nicht auf!! den Pommes serviert werden. Denn dann sind sie immer matschig und nicht mehr knusprig. Diese Steakchips waren äußerst lecker und knusprig.

Die Vorspeise war zu groß aber trotzdem sehr lecker 😋

Das war ein wenig erschreckend. Die Bedienung hat uns ein falsches Essen gebracht von dem er nicht mal wusste oder ausdrücken konnte, was es ist. ( "Aber ist gut, essen alle") und der alkoholfreie Cocktail für 6,90€ bestand aus Zitronensaft mit Eiswürfeln. Das hat dem ganzen die Schuhe ausgezogen. Meine Tagliatelle mit Scampis waren okay. Aber halt auch nicht mal richtig die Sauce mit den Nudeln vermischt, sodass auch jeder Depp gesehen hat, dass man die Nudeln vorgekocht, zusammengeklebt und dann einfach Sauce raumgekippt hat. Das war leider all in all mau.

Das Essen in unserer Runde war im Allgemeinen sehr gut mit etwas Luft nach oben. Schönes Ambiente im Innen- und Aussenbereich. Der Service war leider etwas unaufmerksam, teilweise haben wir auf einzelne Getränke in der Runde über 30 Minuten gewartet und auch nach dem Essen kam niemand mehr um weitere Getränkebestellungen aufzunehmen.

Das Lokal ist etwas in die Jahre gekommen. Hat aber richtig Charme. Das WC ist etwas kompliziert zu finden. Das Essen war sehr lecker (indisch). Aufmerksames,nettes Personal. Gutes Preis-Leistungsverhältnis! Gerne wieder
