Flavor explosion at Wen Cheng🔥🍜 We had the Biang Biang noodles with beef and eggplant, as well as the vegan version with minced meat – both dishes were simply unbelievably delicious. 😋 The noodles were perfectly chewy, the sauces intense, aromatic, and balanced – real comfort food with a kick! The portions are generous, the atmosphere modern and relaxed, and the staff friendly and quick. Everything was perfect. For anyone who loves authentic, hand-pulled noodles with a bold flavor: an absolute recommendation! We'll definitely be back 🤤

What was in the food today? We've been feeling really bad ever since. Nausea and discomfort. It didn't taste like usual either. The food was ready in just two minutes.

Very dissapointing experience. Of course, you won’t get anything better in Germany but for an Asian this biang biang noodles were nothing but average. Beef were not tender, sauce was a weird mix. They forgot to serve us drinks so overall it was just 3 stars and way overhyped

Easily the best hand pulled noodles I’ve ever had. The noodles have the most perfect texture and the sauce that goes with it is so umami and savory. Would recommend this spot in a heartbeat and can’t wait to be back in Berlin to eat them.

We just ordered from you guys and the delivery guy pretty much slammed the order at us & left. The box is open the sauce has flown out of the box, the paper bag is soggy. This is awful. Please take some responsibility of your packaging. Already your food is overpriced. How do we know if the food hadn’t fallen on some pavement or his car seat & he just shoved it back into the box?!!!!!!! This is shameful!

Nothing like some flavorful hand pulled noodles. I got the dry noodles and mind you they are spicy :) 2 vegan/vegetarian options for both noodles and the bao. There might be a bit of a wait but don’t be intimidated by the lines, it moves quickly :) Also, there are 3 or 4 locations in Berlin so you could always go somewhere else.

Yesterday I visited this place with my partner and we loved it. It was very crowded, but despite that, the service and attention were quick, and the food was spectacular. We will definitely return again this week.

Pretty underwhelming sadly. Was really looking forward to it, no crunch just oil and the cucumber salad was bland. For €20 you can get better elsewhere.

I have to say, I've loved it for years, but it's gotten worse every time. It's either way too spicy, or way too mild, cold, almost no sauce at all, way too much sauce... Once it was so spicy (I've tried all the spice levels and know how hot each one is) that it was truly inedible, even though it was only level two. The quality has drastically declined, and unfortunately, no one cares. If you have it delivered, you can't give feedback...

We visited Wen Cheng Hand Pulled Noodles and really enjoyed the experience. We ordered the tofu and shiitake biang biang, the aubergine with vegan minced meat, a tofu Sichuan bao, and their special Shifu beer. The flavors were bold and authentic, and everything was super fresh. A quick tip — the spice level is very accurate. I wouldn’t recommend increasing it unless you’re absolutely sure you can handle it! We underestimated it and ended up ordering plain baos to help tone it down. The service was impressively fast, and the atmosphere was friendly and lively. Definitely a great spot if you’re looking for flavorful, spicy hand-pulled noodles in a casual, buzzing setting.

Simple best original way of serving food. Simple, not lots of ingredients and quite textured and flavorful. I love the bin bin beef spicy but the vegetarian option of tofu and mushrooms is also amazing! For starting I would go with the kind of bao with fried chicken or the cucumber salad

Last week I got the wtf spicy menu . I would never recommend it if you have a sensitive stomach. It was not tasty at all and the wtf menu is a pain that should never be tried.

When we went to Berlin for the May long weekend, we planned what we wanted to see and where to go in terms of tourist attractions. We had to decide spontaneously about food and restaurants. But there was one place that we had checked out earlier and that we definitely wanted to go to for Asian food - Wen Cheng. On the recommendation of friends who enjoyed their hand-stretched noodles, we had to stop by while sightseeing. We were ready to stand in line to be seated at a table. Luckily, we didn't have to wait (we were there shortly after opening) and we were able to sit outside (the weather was perfect then). Our son said that he had never eaten such a delicious dish before (and he had tasted various specialties in different places in Europe). REVELATION! We ordered the classic one with beef and the vegetarian one with eggplant tempura. Delicious! Super seasoned, served quickly. Plus original rice beer. Even now, when I remember these flavors, my salivary glands start working harder... And although we ate in several great places during our stay in Berlin, and although we had eaten this type of dish with original, hand-stretched pasta before (e.g. in Gdynia), we will remember this place for a long time and we will most likely want to come back! And the inscription above the urinal in the toilet blew me away 😜 (see photos). Whoever doesn't go there to eat is an ass!

Fav food spot in Berlin. I go here like once every other week and order the same thing everytime and it’s still my fav. Highly highly recommend it.

Really great biang biang mian. I recommend coming to dinner just so you get to enjoy the lamb biang biang dish as it's by far the tastiest dish they have.

I would never recommend or go there again. Everything was way too over-seasoned, the noodles weren't tasty. You pay for the hype. Service was top.

Noodles are delicious, beef very tender, served in a delicious stew/broth that I wish there were a little bit more of. service was INSANELY quick (<5 min), though there slight wait on a Wednesday at dinner rush. don't get the Senfkohl/"asian pickle" es schmeckt nicht

The simplicity of the menu is amazing. You will order probably one out of 3-4 choices (+vegeterian) choosing the spice you can handle and you get a good dish that fills you up. The additional buns (small petite burgers) you get as Appetizer are super good and staff are cool. So a must visit for a Berliner to give it a try. Price per dish is around 13-15€ I believe.

Food is very tasty and also very filling. Hyped spot but it's worth it just because of the broth that's in the dish.

Das Personal war wirklich freundlich und verständnisvoll, dafür ein großes Lob. Leider hatten wir in unserem Essen zwei sehr unangenehme Funde – ein langes weißes Haar im Chicken Bao und ein schwarzes Haar in einem der Nudelgerichte. Das hat uns den Appetit komplett verdorben, wir konnten das Essen kaum noch genießen. Zum Glück wurde uns der Betrag erstattet und wir haben neue Gerichte bekommen, aber der erste Eindruck war leider nicht mehr zu retten.

Food is great, so is the atmosphere and the portions are huge! We were seated very easily but a line started forming almost half an hour later, so keep in mind that it might be busy. Overall great experience for a casual dinner!

Basically, you can choose from two types of dumplings with additions, some better than the other. There is no wrong choice here. Sharper, really sharp. Long lines, but the taste is worth waiting for.

Specializing in hand-pulled Chinese noodles - delicious. The menu is very clear with two variants of pasta in 4 types each - with meat and vegetarian. Plus some side dishes. The level of spiciness can be increased individually. Thanks to these combinable options, the selection is more than sufficient. Plus, the food is really tasty. Butter-tender beef on the rather wide and firm hand-pulled Chinese noodles in a great sauce. The cucumber salad is fresh, the aubergines are juicy. The ambience leans toward industrial with dark cabinets and metal construction. Tables with chairs or stools. Inherently consistent. Not quite mine. The service is extremely friendly and fast. Perfect.

Busy Chinese restaurant in the center of Berlin.

Great pub with delicious food. Very wise food philosophy, short menu (literally just a few dishes). The food was served very quickly. Bao with chicken is awesome! Delicate pasta, beef that melts in your mouth. The service was very nice and helpful. Two tips: they have a break from 3 to 5 p.m. and payment only by card ;)

Ordered this for delivery and everything arrived fresh, hot, and well packaged! Selected "Spicy" for my spice level and it was WAY spicier than anticipated, but that's on me. The beef was fall apart tender, but aside from the spice, I didn't get much in terms of flavor. Noodles lived up to the hype, though, and the chicken bao was sublime. Would have loved an option on the delivery app to get cutlery.

Hand pulled noodles keep their promises. Very good spiciness, large portion and really good taste. But the hype can also be paid off well. For what it is, the prices are really steep. For this and for the canteen atmosphere there is a star deduction. Really good, but you can find it elsewhere for a few euros less, more comfortable and without a queue at the door. Otherwise: The Bao Bun is a real hit. The cucumbers are oily without much flavor.

What amazing noodles! Wen Cheng claim that Big Fat Noodles Are Taking Over Berlin. I can believe it. We knew nothing of the restaurant when we visited on a Thursday night. All we knew was that it looked popular, especially with people under 40, which my son liked. I ordered the lamb noodled dish and my son went for vegetarian. We each ate every last morsel. Utterly full of taste and texture. We left feeling nourished and replete. A lovely atmosphere with friendly staff. Oh, and great rice beer.

The noodles are quite mediocre, didnt taste fresh nor tasty, very floury and not the nice texture you would expect from hand pulled noodles. Definitely disappointing despite all the good reviews here. The servers also gave the impression of rushing us to order. Overall not the best experience.

I can never understand why there's so much hype around this place, or why people are lining up in such long queues. I'm Asian, and I have to say, this is not authentic Asian food. Seriously, which country's cuisine is this supposed to be? I traveled all over China and other Asian countries, visiting both villages and big cities, and nowhere did I find a place selling noodles like these. These noodles have the worst texture I've ever tasted in my life. Are people just paying for the hype? I'm so confused—do people in Berlin really not know what authentic, decent food is supposed to taste like? I feel sorry whenever I see people queuing up there. I wish they knew what authentic, good food tastes like

The food was absolutely delicious! It was rich, spicy, and garlicky, just the way I like it. The noodles were especially well-made. If you enjoy these bold flavors, this place is definitely worth a try!

Nothing relevant about this place. The food is neither good nor bad, service is ok but with no extra care. I would have recommended it if the prices were not so high. More than 16€ for a bowl of noodles with a few vegetables and some meat is way too expensive.

The chicken noodle dish contained two tiny pieces of chicken. The dish cost 12.5 euros. I was deceived

Fantastic noodles! We both went for the biang biang noodles. They weren't too spicy for us (we would usually have a balti as a spice reference). The beef was so tender, all you needed to do was squeeze the chopsticks and the beef fell apart. Best meal we had in Berlin all holiday!

Started strong, slowed down a lot. The sauce was tasty and creamy. Now just water. This was the third time in a row that I had this experience. It used to be so good... PS: after Wen Cheng's answer, I wrote an email, but there was no answer.

Although the quality of the ingredients was not bad, this was the first time I had to get up without finishing a meal. Biang biang dough was rubbery and collapsed in the stomach. Meat and eggplant were good, but if we evaluate the plate as a whole, it was a tasteless and stomach-tiring dish. Extremely bitter and oily. Coriander is also very dominant. We experienced intestinal motility for 2 days after eating it.

Great food and very quick service.

Bit noisy in the restaurant itself, but the food was really good. Also unexpectedly 'short' waiting time (it was a weekday, and although there was a queue, we waited under 10 min). Food itself was good. As it comes, the spiciness was not too much (for the Sichuan noodles), just about right to get a slight kick. But you can always order it spicier anyway. The prices are a bit on the expensive side though.

This is the best Wen Cheng in Berlin, incredible food, atmosphere and really nice service. You can see that the team is getting along very well, kitchen staff, service, the entire team. Highly recommend biang biang noodles, a real treat. Beef, lamb- I really like them both. Will visit again upon my next trip to Berlin.

Wen Chen serves up some seriously delicious noodles—rich broth, perfectly chewy noodles, and that deep, satisfying umami hit. The flavors are on point, and you can tell they put effort into their ingredients. But here’s the catch: it’s pricey. For what you get, the portions aren’t exactly generous, and you’ll definitely feel the markup. It’s one of those places where you’re paying for the quality (which is great), but also the hype. Final verdict? Worth it for a treat, but not an everyday go-to unless you’re feeling bougie about your noodles.

I would SELL MY SOUL for the chicken baos. THEY ARE HEAVENLY! 10/10. Also the cucumber salad is 😮‍💨 I’m not a big fan of the Biang Biang noodles but the wen cheng beef one slaps. Apart from friendly and efficient service, the people working there are also serving good looks ;)

It's worth queuing. The noodles are homemade and the meat is very tender. Pleasant spiciness, accompanied by a light beer, clear recommendation!

the food is just alright (very oily) and the atmosphere is very cantina-like. also quite overpriced. what makes wen Cheng worth a visit is the staff. this wonderful red-haired girl with glasses and the tall Turkish guy with the grumpy face were absolutely lovely to me, and I left them a big tip for it the tofu bao was délicious, but they should definitely marinate their tofu

The incident happened on January 6, 2024. The reason I’m writing this review now is that I suddenly remembered it while looking at some photos, and I believe incidents like this shouldn’t happen again. I am Asian, and I came to this restaurant with a friend to have a meal. However, the staff member in the photo made us feel very uncomfortable. We ordered one spicy dish and one that was slightly less spicy. She brought the food to our table in a manner that felt like she was almost throwing it at us. Pointing at one of the dishes, she said, “This is the spicy one.” Since the restaurant was quite noisy, we politely asked her to repeat it, but she simply turned around and walked away. A little later, we saw her laughing and joking around with other staff members, as shown in the photo. Her attitude made us want to leave as quickly as possible. We have no idea why she treated us so rudely. This used to be one of our favorite restaurants, but now we feel uneasy about coming back.

Menu is simple and easy to decide. The noodle was really delicious and the amount was enough to feel full. Also, they were super fast and I only waited 5-6 minutes

En general, definitivamente diría que es amigable para niños, incluso si no lo parece en un primer vistazo. También el personal hizo todo lo posible para acomodarnos con nuestros pequeños huéspedes ofreciéndonos unas cuantas mesas que tenían más espacio a su alrededor. 🍜 Las porciones eran ENORMES. Nunca he tenido tanta carne en un plato. Realmente sabroso y auténtico mano china - fideos hechos. 🛎️ El servicio fue muy rápido y amable. ¡Como MUY rápido! Preguntamos si podían calentar nuestra comida para bebés y no tenía problemas con ella. El personal era encantador y muy agradable.

If I could give 10 ⭐️, I would! 🛒 We went there on a packed Sunday afternoon and were able to fit with 2 baby strollers (mind you, our baby stroller is huge). Overall, I would definitely say it is kid-friendly, even if it doesn’t seem like it on a first look. Also the staff did their best to accommodate us with our little guests by offering us a few tables which had more space around them. 🍜 The portions were HUGE. I have never had so much meat on a plate. Really tasty and authentic Chinese hand-made noodles. 🛎️ The service was very fast and friendly. Like VERY fast! We asked if they could heat our baby food and had no issues with it. The staff was lovely and really nice.

I was hoping that Wen Cheng 2 would simply have twice as large portions as Weng Cheng 1. Unfortunately that's not the case. Still tasty

Discontent may stem from the expectations with which one enters the place. The noodles were good, but the sauce, both spicy and sweet, left a lot to be desired. It is a repetitive flavor that gets tiring quickly.

Absolute highlight. The handpulled noodles here are incredibly delicious - the noodles are fresh and handmade, you can taste the quality in every bite. The menu offers a great selection and the portions are generous. I was particularly impressed by the perfect combination of flavors and spices. The service was quick and very friendly, you immediately feel welcome. I'll definitely be back - a real pleasure experience!

In fact, I don’t quite understand why so many people like it. Everyone thinks that the dishes are very simple, the meat is not particularly delicious, the price is high, and you have to queue up.

Just tasty, nothing special, but tasty. The meat is very very soft, the noodles are thick and wide, but when they are in the sauce, they are delicious.

The food is just awesome! I wish there would be more places like that everywhere, it’s super fast but at the same time super fresh, the spices are amazing, the staff is friendly, the baos were a different level, so tender!! I can really recommend this place even though it’s always crowded.

“Unfortunately I was very disappointed with my visit to this Asian restaurant. The food didn't taste good at all - the noodles were far too thick and inedible. When I wanted to pay, I could only do so using a debit card, which I couldn't understand because I wanted to pay with cash. After paying, I didn't receive a receipt, which was irritating. When I then asked for it, the receipt was issued to me, but with items that I had not ordered. I spoke to the manager of the store, who didn't respond very friendly, but in the end he said we didn't have to pay anything and would get our money refunded. Overall this experience was very disappointing and I will certainly not visit this restaurant again.”

The best place in Berlin, unique noodles

Wen Cheng is back in the game :) the quality was superb when the first restaurant opened, despite long queues. Then the quality at the OG location dropped (drastically), simultaneously other wen cheng locations were opening up. For a long time, I wasn’t convinced and stopped going there completely. However, my recent visit was amazing! If you’re not into the noodles, I highly recommend the chicken bun / sandwich and cucumber salad - they’re both excellent, too.

Biang Biang Beef was very delicious. I ordered Asian Spicy as someone who likes spicy and I was satistified , sweated a bit but no regrets at all 😏 service was really fast but it is crowded a bit you need wait outside

We ate chicken bun and biang biang lamb. It was beautiful. It's worth coming again. We waited in line outside, but the queue comes very quickly, especially if you are 2 people.

One of my absolute favourite places in Berlin. I go there often and it is consistently good - never had an issue whether it’s been dining in or getting it to go. Great portion size, as spicy as you desire and so delicious! There’s a reason there’s always a long line of people waiting!

It is a good restaurant in itself. The quality is good, but the ‘hospitality’ we experienced yesterday left us somewhat speechless. We arrived before 7pm and were allocated a table. We then waited for a while until we were served. The food then arrived very quickly. After about an hour and 15 minutes, the colleague from the entrance came to us and threw fortune biscuits and calendars on our table. I hadn't even finished my second drink. He then asked directly whether we were paying together or separately. He didn't ask if we wanted to order anything else, which service staff often do to make themselves heard. No time limit was communicated to us when we were greeted either. We were totally perplexed by this indirect ‘kick-out’. Outside, guests were asked to wait, although there were at least three free tables for two inside. For me, this was the first but unfortunately also the last visit. This kind of behaviour just makes you feel like a cash cow that should disappear again as quickly as possible.

The music is very loud and noisy. The male manager is a bit rude. The food is good.

The food was good, but the evening turned into a dramatic experience. An employee was extremely aggressive, insulted guests and seemed overwhelmed. The reason? He allegedly felt like he was being watched and then really harassed me and other guests. This kind of behavior is completely unacceptable and ruined my evening. NEVER AGAIN!!

Overrated. Bad Eating experience since the Noodles are too big and not really easy to eat. The flavor is not that good either.
