Wen Cheng 2 in Berlin

I love coming to Wen Cheng since 2022. It is always such a nice experience.

They play really good music. The food is perfect and the portions are generous. Great staff, everyone has good taste in music.

They make the best eggplant in town

First, the positives: Very friendly, attentive service! Atmosphere: If you like a cafeteria atmosphere, you'll definitely be happy here – it's too uncomfortable for me. Food: Mediocre. The pasta was okay, but cooked a bit unevenly (which might be due to the uneven cutting). Any Italian could do better. The beef was beautifully tender, the sauce (W1) a bit bland. The worst part was the aftertaste – the food wasn't very digestible.

This place made me love aubergine! I've had their Biang biang noodles extra spicy with fried aubergine and it is insanely flavorful and fulfilling. Better come early as possible if you wanna avoid a queue.

The food was very good and even though it is more on the expensive side, I would very much say that it is worth it. I especially enjoyed the noodles with the lamb, but all options were very tasty. The service was nice, if a bit overwhelmed, because of the amount of customers. Overall nice experience and I would like to go again

Wen Cheng 2 is simply next level. The noodles are hand-pulled, incredibly aromatic, and always perfectly prepared. Every dish has that authentic Sichuan flavor that's instantly addictive. The service is fast, the atmosphere is lively, and you immediately feel the true craftsmanship at work here. For me, this is one of the places in Berlin that every visitor must be shown.

Restaurants serving Chinese hand-pulled noodles are popping up like mushrooms in Berlin right now. Wen Cheng II is one of them. Why not? The food is delicious, you can sometimes watch the preparation, and the restaurants are easily organized like chain restaurants, with a counter and delivery to the table. Here, we ordered at the table and the food was delivered. The taste was good, no complaints. I'd be happy to go again.

The food is always top-notch. Service and ambiance vary. But we always enjoy coming here for the food.

Most importantly, the food was incredible... Be careful with the spice, they mean business! Regarding the service and ambiance, you'd have to say street food. It's not a cozy restaurant for a date night. You could describe it as hectic: loud music, fast-paced staff, the sound of the noodle makers banging in the background, and your food is ready within minutes. All in all, highly recommended if you don't let yourself get stressed.

Phenomenal. I ate the most rich, tastiest, softest meat tonight from here. The waiters were incredibly friendly, I even had a conversation with one. The food gets served within 10 mins max. And the kitchen has window walls so u see everything, there is even a show for how the hand picked noodles are made. Everything is very clean

Wen Cheng is always a top choice; this location has a particularly nice ambiance both inside and outside :) The B4 is my go-to order; with extra noodles, you even have some left over to take home. Delicious!

A fantastic interior where you can watch the noodle-pulling process! The food doesn't need to be mentioned anymore; it's always so good...

All time favourite Asian place in Berlin !

Unfortunately, my visit to this restaurant was severely marred by the behavior of one of the employees. The service was unfriendly and unattentive. I was brought the wrong dish, and when I pointed it out, he responded in an annoyed manner, "What am I supposed to do now?" I wasn't offered any alternatives or anything else. In my opinion, friendly customer service is a must in the restaurant industry – I unfortunately missed that here. It's a shame, because the restaurant itself has potential.

Delicious handmade noodles. We chose the classic beef and lamb ones. The meat melted in your mouth. It's great that you can choose the spiciness level when ordering. The open kitchen and the ability to watch the noodles being made are an added attraction. You'll leave full and happy.

Don’t underestimate the spicy options, the menu doesn’t lie about it being actually spicy! The noodles were insanely good and the portion size was perfect for us. I recommend the Shifu beer <3

My new must have place to go when in Berlin

One serving isn't filling. Very little noodles, a relatively large amount of meat, and a lot of broth. It was like a soup to me. Not my taste.

Delivery via Wolt was a complete disaster! I ordered a meal for €27 but only got a pot of the supposedly biang biang noodles... supposedly because it was a soup! Look at my photos. I've eaten the same dish several times at Weng Cheng 1 and it was never as good as it was here today. And you can't reach the store by phone. Wolt support at least refunded my money in full. Conclusion: Wolt = very good! Weng Cheng 2 = very bad!

Fantastic restaurant with their signature noodles. Lots of flavor, delicious spices, well-cooked meat and the homemade noodles make this restaurant a five-star visit. Would also like to recommend their rice beer, which went well with the potent spices. We look forward to coming again.

Amazing food, can be a bit crowded at times but its worth it

The price is a bit higher, but you get quite a lot of meat for that. The pieces of meat are very large, and the noodles are quite thick. It tasted pretty good, a bit like goulash. The noodles are quite exceptional. Unfortunately, we found the cucumber salad bland; we've had better ones elsewhere.

In my opinion the best of the four wen cheng stores. Also the biggest one. Food is as always breathtakingly good.

Be careful, there's a risk of confusion! There are two restaurants on Schönhauser Street! It's delicious, though.

Friendly staff, but I was disappointed with the order because I specifically requested non-spicy (the menu offered that option), yet I still got a spicy dish. So spicy that even my boyfriend couldn't eat it (although he doesn't usually have a problem with spicy food).

Nothing else to say than it was fantastic ! No words can explain the explosion of flavours and simply saying how comfortable the dining is. The staff makes it even more enjoyable. For sure it will be the best place that I will save in mind after visiting Berlin, definitely worth coming back !

It's not overly spicy for Korean palates, but it's delicious. If you crave spicy food, it's probably fine. They also have a beer that's only available at the store. P.S. I thought I'd tried this somewhere before, but it's similar to the bibim-myeon version of the dosak-myeon at Songhwasansi Dosak-myeon in Seoul.

- Even when there is a queue, it will be fast until you get seated - Biang Biang noodles are amazing (not too spicy, so if you can handle a bit more spicy, you can go for „Extra Spicy“) - Great attentive service (English and German speaking)

The food is delicious, savory and chewy and so filling. There’s two types of noodles to choose from, and a few variations per type of noodle, so everyone should find something to love. Take a chance on it being a little spicy!

We visited Wen Cheng 2 on a recent visit to Berlin. The service was quick and friendly. The food was pretty average. The noodles themselves were nice but the rest, like the meat/sauce was really oily and didn’t taste of much. There’s much better places to eat in Berlin but if you’re looking for something fairly quick then this would do.

I had the Biang Biang aubergine & vegan minced meat. The noodles were thick and chewy. The aubergine was crispy om the outside and soft on the inside. The broth and toppings gave it the wonderful kick.

We had “Biang Biang” - the signature meal and to be honest it was the best one I’ve ever had! Also “SHIFU” beer is highly recommended!

It's a bit pricey from an Asian perspective, but... the meat is tender and delicious! Wow, but... please don't choose the spiciest flavor. ☠️ I enjoy Yeoptteokbuldak, but this really made me dizzy, my hands and mouth cramped, and I lost my mind. It was the spiciest food I've ever had... My friend said it was as good as Songju Bulnaengmyeon... I really don't recommend it for anyone with a moderate appetite... Thankfully, they gave me extra broth, so I washed it down... Please go with the Asian spicy flavor... Thank you so much to the friendly servers for their help👍🏻

Delicious and fancy, unfortunately a bit expensive (15-17€)

We were here on a Thursday evening, and it wasn't too busy, with more than enough (and very friendly and attentive) staff. The food came very quickly and was super tasty and quite spicy. Highly recommended, and given the excellent quality of the food, I think the prices are quite justified.

You should probably not be fooled by how crowded this place always seems to be. The food is average. Not bad, not great - but it is by far the most expensive noodle dish I have bought in Berlin (16.5-17€ compared to the usual 11-15€) and I have tried so much better food, including noodles, for a lower price. Even in the same area as Wen Cheng. If you are curious to try hand-pulled noodles, then sure, this place has them. But the flavours are altogether just ok. Fine. Nothing special.

I wanted to try out the hyped-up place for myself. The service was nice but forgot my drink and wanted to charge it. It was easily resolved, though. The food. I had ordered beef. Visually, the food looked like something from a cafeteria. Noodles in the bowl. Then vegetables on one side, meat on the other, cilantro in a gap, and 3 tablespoons of chili powder in the middle. Why don't they mix them together? It looks better than the measured amounts that go into the bowl one after the other. The taste was also boring. I don't understand the hype, but that's probably because I'm Asian and find Germanized food so boring.

10/10 food, spectacular atmosphere on the terrace, but above all, the great service from the guy with the ponytail, marvelous. We're waiters in Spain, and people like him are wonderful, and they make a business prosper in every way. Super fast service, a thousand thanks to the entire team, it's a pleasure.

Very good noodles with a great housemade sauce. We also had a nice beer that was apparently also housemade. The only little drawback is that the place is next to the street, so it can be a bit loud but the quality of the food really makes up for it. I can recommend very well.

Quite the experience, the bowl is different from what you usually get with very thick noodles., tasted great. We took the second level of spicy which worked great. Spicy, but not too serious.

After eating Biang Biang noodles in Xi’an, China, I can confirm that Wen Cheng is just as good as the original in the birthplace of Biang Biang! You can choose your preferred spice level (beware: 3 out of 4 chilies is already super hot), and keep in mind that the dish is quite oily. Vegetarian friendly, and deliciousssss!

Best noodles in Berlin! I came here almost every week for the 2 years I lived in Berlin and never got tired of these delicious thick hand pulled noodles and yummy spicy broth!

Thanks for the delicious noodles. But unfortunately, the reggae music doesn't really fit the ambiance.
