Wen Cheng 2 in Berlin

Our visit to Wen Chang was excellent. On Friday evening, we got a table for four without having to wait in line. The food arrived quickly—even faster than the drinks. The food was fantastic. The orange chicken was very flavorful, and the noodles were really good. I can wholeheartedly recommend Wen Chang.

The pasta with fried eggplant is amazing.

I was here 3 times and everytime I was seated instantly and the food came very fast. I love it so much! Vegetarian options are so delicious ♥️

Best Chinese place in Berlin, would love to have it in Italy!

A very, very tasty noodle bowl with cucumber salad, perfect for warming up in winter. Slightly spicy and a generous portion with plenty of beef (W1). The smashed cucumber salad on the side was also excellent. The noodles and vegetables were cooked to perfection, nicely al dente. One point off for the service; the food arrived very quickly, but much earlier than the drinks. No waiting time outside the restaurant; the four of us were seated immediately. Overall, we were very satisfied and left thoroughly satisfied – highly recommended!

Wen cheng changed my mind about chinese. You can chose between different levels for spiciness and the first level was enough and very refreshing. The hand made noedels are also worth the try. Not to forget Vegan options are also available. Kind and friendly staff making the place comfy and where you want to go again.

Although Chinese food is not my favorite, I found it successful.

Smashed cucumber salad is fine, but since we skipped the fact that it was naturally spicy and chose extra spicy (there are 4 options in total after no spicy), it was a good option to suppress the spiciness.😆 Chicken bao and noodles are worth going for.

I’m so sad to write this, as we’ve been coming to various locations since we moved to Berlin, four years ago. I think they expanded too much, too fast, and the quality has dropped off significantly. I ordered my usual, and today it was almost without taste; everything was so bland, when it used to be floral and tangy and wonderful. The Aubergine was inedible, barely cooked, and the noodles tasted like they were reheated from frozen. I paid almost 20 euros for food I didn’t want to eat, and this used to be a place we looked forward to visiting.

The food was delicious, but not exactly cheap. It was annoying that payment was only possible by card and that my Amazon Visa didn't work, only my ING Visa debit card.

This place sells bibim noodles, which can be considered Chinese, and has recently become popular among the younger generation. I ordered Biang Biang with beef topping and the spiciest level. Although the reviews clearly said that even the spiciest level isn't that spicy for Koreans, it was very spicy. Of course, it's different from the spiciness of Korean Cheongyang peppers, and it has a mala-like spiciness that isn't very pleasant, so I think that's part of it, but either way, it was spicy. Still, it was tasty, and the noodles were chewy and not too chewy. I also had a Neulich Hell beer with it.

Very authentic tasting! Some of the best biang biang noodles I’ve had.

Very nice service and restaurant vibe. The flavour of the sauce was a bit disappointing. There wasn't enough cumin on the lamb either. The flavour seems to be more catered to Germans. But I liked that you could customize the spice level.

Very tasty food, enjoyed the ambiance with good friends. The waitress was super nice. We asked to get tap water and the waiter brought a glass to every one of us. Also loved the bottom of the bowl. We would definitely come back again 😊

A trendy handmade noodle shop in the Kollwitzkiez neighborhood. The space is large with an open, industrial-style kitchen, and it's quite noisy with background music. The decor is simple and functional, but it fits the overall concept. The service is friendly and fast. They offer two noodle dishes: one spicier and oilier, the other milder and less greasy; each can be combined with beef, lamb, eggplant, and shiitake mushrooms or tofu. Both are very tasty, the meat is cooked to perfection and flavorful. The chicken bao is soft but relatively bland, with a delicious sauce and fantastic, crispy chicken. They have a small but good selection of beer and soft drinks. Prices are moderate. Overall, highly recommended!

Biang biang was not the best Sichuan bao but it doesnt taste like sichuan. Dumplings didnt taste fresh The staff was super friendly because we were honestly that it wasn’t to our tasting, he even gave us a discount. That was super nice thx. If you want better quality and taste go to “the noodletown”

I was always surprised by the long queues in front of the shop, but now I completely understand! The food was delicious and the prices are reasonable. I wouldn't recommend arriving too late, as a long queue can form otherwise. We'll be back :)

Definitely worth a try! 👍🏻👍🏻 The "chicken bun" is legendary. We also tried the Wen Cheng beef and Wen Cheng lamb & cumin. Both were delicious. The fresh noodles were also quite good. The lamb cumin had a more spicy flavor. Overall, we liked everything we tried. Berlin'de is definitely a must-try! 🤩

For me, it's still number one in Berlin. The flavors are perfectly balanced, and the beef has always been tender and sinew-free compared to many other places in Berlin.

✅ Totally recommended Best noodle I’ve ever had, very polite and friendly staff, excellent atmosphere with nice interior design and branding. Plenty’s of indoor and outdoor seating options available, but it was very crowded during our visit, so we had to stay in line for about 15 minutes. Rest room is nice and clean, and wheelchair accessible. Entrance is also wheelchair accessible. Nice place for date, or hanging out with friends and family. Just keep in mind the noodles are really spicy, in a serious way, even the non-spicy one! Prices are fare, and they accept cash and card. There is a vegetarian noodle option as well. I will try it again definitely ✌️

Very filling big portions. Tasty broth with lots of meat. Hand pulled noodles are a bit thick and tough. Maybe in order to be fast for service they are way too quick.

I got wen cheng beef (non spicy) and the hand pulled noodles are cooked perfectly, has good firm bite density and beef is tender and has some pieces have fatty parts. I got as takeaway within 5 min of ordering

Amazing noodle soups that I'll be thinking about for a while. We ordered one of each of the noodle dishes (they only sell two types of noodle soups) and a side of the smashed cucumber salad. The broth was delicious and the noodles themselves were hand-pulled and the perfect texture. I asked for no coriander in mine and they accepted the slight change with no problems. The cucumber salad was a refreshing addition to the warm hearty meal. Service was also amazing, we were walk-ins at about 6pm, were seated immediately out of the street and served attentively by 2 waiters. Very vibrant atmosphere.

Staff were really friendly and chatty, food came EXTREMELY quick, and food was really tasty - with options to make spicier or not. Very flavourful. I also liked that there’s a story behind the making of the business which they show, and the atmosphere is very modern, with banging music. Good portion sizes too.

We’ve been loyal customers of Wen Cheng for years, going once a week became a tradition ever since your first location opened. Over time, we completely fell in love with your noodles. The consistent, comforting taste made it our go-to spot and a real highlight of our weekends. Unfortunately, the recent recipe change, seemingly out of nowhere, was a huge letdown. What used to feel perfect now feels unfamiliar and we’re genuinely disappointed. Judging by how many others feel the same, it’s clear this change hasn’t been well received. It’s sad to say goodbye, but we’d rather remember the amazing noodles we once knew than continue coming back to something that no longer feels right. Unless the original recipe returns, we won’t be back.

I've loved your restaurant for a long time and used to go there often when you were still in Prenzlauer Berg. This time, however, I was unfortunately disappointed. Has the sauce changed? The spiciness and depth of flavor were noticeably weaker, and a sour note predominated instead. The tofu and shiitake mushrooms were also cold, and there were only two small pieces of the mushrooms. The portions used to be more generous, and everything was warm. I used to love your restaurant and still looked forward to it today—which makes my impression all the more regrettable. I'm a big fan of Wenchang and would like to come back, but I'll probably wait until the old flavor returns. I would have at least preferred the ingredients warm. I didn't want to post this feedback on Google, so I contacted you first by email. However, since I didn't receive any response, I'm posting my review here.

The staff was very nice and the food was really good.

We were full but unhappy with the food. I don't know what exactly it was, but both of our dishes simply didn't taste good. Unfortunately, I can't give an objective answer as to what exactly it was, but it's rare that I didn't want to finish a dish. We had the regular biang biang noodles with lamb and the Wen Cheng noodles (no spice) with beef.

They don’t take reservations. Commonly there’s a waiting line (sometimes it can be long). We wait just 5 minutes, staff easily help to know how long it can be. Staff is a 10, all kind and efficient. Food super good, spiciness options, not so oily noodles possible, super recommendable place.

I go here with my friends since it opened very regularly its out favourite food and the cozy place to chat! For spice lovers and people like me who cant tolerate a lot. The wen cheng soup reminds me so much of taiwanese food taste which I miss. The only thing thats so sad for me is that they recently changed the recipe and I promise you before it was the best!!!

Please change the recipe back W4 doesn’t taste good anymore and the unique flavor is gone now, I’ve been eating this specific dish for 2 years now why change ittt??? I won’t be coming anymore sadly 😭 a lot of people been telling me the same
