Wen Cheng 2 in Berlin

I got wen cheng beef (non spicy) and the hand pulled noodles are cooked perfectly, has good firm bite density and beef is tender and has some pieces have fatty parts. I got as takeaway within 5 min of ordering

Amazing noodle soups that I'll be thinking about for a while. We ordered one of each of the noodle dishes (they only sell two types of noodle soups) and a side of the smashed cucumber salad. The broth was delicious and the noodles themselves were hand-pulled and the perfect texture. I asked for no coriander in mine and they accepted the slight change with no problems. The cucumber salad was a refreshing addition to the warm hearty meal. Service was also amazing, we were walk-ins at about 6pm, were seated immediately out of the street and served attentively by 2 waiters. Very vibrant atmosphere.

I had chicken bao. It was delicious. The restaurant is very busy, almost any time of day. The selection is reasonable and the flavors are very strong.

Staff were really friendly and chatty, food came EXTREMELY quick, and food was really tasty - with options to make spicier or not. Very flavourful. I also liked that there’s a story behind the making of the business which they show, and the atmosphere is very modern, with banging music. Good portion sizes too.

Best hand pulled noodles in town!

We’ve been loyal customers of Wen Cheng for years, going once a week became a tradition ever since your first location opened. Over time, we completely fell in love with your noodles. The consistent, comforting taste made it our go-to spot and a real highlight of our weekends. Unfortunately, the recent recipe change, seemingly out of nowhere, was a huge letdown. What used to feel perfect now feels unfamiliar and we’re genuinely disappointed. Judging by how many others feel the same, it’s clear this change hasn’t been well received. It’s sad to say goodbye, but we’d rather remember the amazing noodles we once knew than continue coming back to something that no longer feels right. Unless the original recipe returns, we won’t be back.

We absolutely had to try this hype, and we weren't disappointed. We both opted for the Wen Cheng noodles, and our waiter reminded us of the option to choose different spice levels. The food arrived super quickly and was delicious.

I've loved your restaurant for a long time and used to go there often when you were still in Prenzlauer Berg. This time, however, I was unfortunately disappointed. Has the sauce changed? The spiciness and depth of flavor were noticeably weaker, and a sour note predominated instead. The tofu and shiitake mushrooms were also cold, and there were only two small pieces of the mushrooms. The portions used to be more generous, and everything was warm. I used to love your restaurant and still looked forward to it today—which makes my impression all the more regrettable. I'm a big fan of Wenchang and would like to come back, but I'll probably wait until the old flavor returns. I would have at least preferred the ingredients warm. I didn't want to post this feedback on Google, so I contacted you first by email. However, since I didn't receive any response, I'm posting my review here.

We were full but unhappy with the food. I don't know what exactly it was, but both of our dishes simply didn't taste good. Unfortunately, I can't give an objective answer as to what exactly it was, but it's rare that I didn't want to finish a dish. We had the regular biang biang noodles with lamb and the Wen Cheng noodles (no spice) with beef.

The best being being noodles in Europe😎

If you like Asian food, pass by. It's a tasteless, Europeanized attraction.

They don’t take reservations. Commonly there’s a waiting line (sometimes it can be long). We wait just 5 minutes, staff easily help to know how long it can be. Staff is a 10, all kind and efficient. Food super good, spiciness options, not so oily noodles possible, super recommendable place.

I go here with my friends since it opened very regularly its out favourite food and the cozy place to chat! For spice lovers and people like me who cant tolerate a lot. The wen cheng soup reminds me so much of taiwanese food taste which I miss. The only thing thats so sad for me is that they recently changed the recipe and I promise you before it was the best!!!

Please change the recipe back W4 doesn’t taste good anymore and the unique flavor is gone now, I’ve been eating this specific dish for 2 years now why change ittt??? I won’t be coming anymore sadly 😭 a lot of people been telling me the same

Very tasty, if you like Chinese and homemade noodles

I tried the "Lamb & Cumin" dish at Wen Cheng – once again, Chinese cuisine from another region. The noodles are hand-pulled, the dish is robustly seasoned, and the craftsmanship is certainly excellent. But honestly, it's not my cup of tea. And that's precisely why I'm writing this review – so others can see that if you haven't been able to get used to this type of Chinese cuisine before, you won't suddenly be converted here. Certainly interesting for connoisseurs, but unfortunately not for me personally.

The place was very cute and the noodles were really spicy.

Loved it! Great for families too we ordered side of noodle for our toddler. Such a special place, be careful to not go overboard with the spice level. Super friendly team

Wen cheng, always a good idea, my absolute favorite restaurant in Berlin: Bianca biang aubergine!!!

There was a line, but it moved very quickly. It's a bit hectic inside, but the taste is definitely worth it! Highly recommended.

I'm not usually a noodles fan, but their spicy beef noodles are SO FINE! Perfectly cooked, perfectly seasoned, perfect spice level. Just perfect.

Very thick and hard to digest noodles bathed in over the top garlic oil. Not a match for us!

The rooms are authentically decorated (more like a cafeteria). The service is friendly and attentive. However, we weren't impressed with the quality of the food. The hand-pulled noodles were too uneven in thickness, resulting in some spots that were already overcooked and others that still tasted doughy. We had expected much more. Much worse, however, was that the biang biang noodles with lamb and cumin resulted in persistent burping. A sure sign that the fat used was of rather poor quality. In my opinion, it's significantly overrated.

I went back to Wencheng after just a month, this time with a friend who also comes here often. We were so surprised, no waiting!! And happy for that. Then after got our dished we were both so disappointed that we couldn’t even finish our dishes. The garlic and mala sauce that used to be so special has turned into an ordinary German-style sauce. Even the texture of the eggplant had changed, and the noodles just tasted like plain flour. On top of that, the lively, one-of-a-kind vibe of Wencheng is now completely gone. Feel so sorry about it. It was really one of my top 10 list In berlin.

They play really good music. The food is perfect and the portions are generous. Great staff, everyone has good taste in music.

I love coming to Wen Cheng since 2022. It is always such a nice experience.

First, the positives: Very friendly, attentive service! Atmosphere: If you like a cafeteria atmosphere, you'll definitely be happy here – it's too uncomfortable for me. Food: Mediocre. The pasta was okay, but cooked a bit unevenly (which might be due to the uneven cutting). Any Italian could do better. The beef was beautifully tender, the sauce (W1) a bit bland. The worst part was the aftertaste – the food wasn't very digestible.

I live to see the day you sell the pickles in a jar. Outstanding service, super fast and super nice people. I spilled my drink, didn‘t lose much of it and got a new one right away even if it wasn’t necessary

The food was very good and even though it is more on the expensive side, I would very much say that it is worth it. I especially enjoyed the noodles with the lamb, but all options were very tasty. The service was nice, if a bit overwhelmed, because of the amount of customers. Overall nice experience and I would like to go again

This place made me love aubergine! I've had their Biang biang noodles extra spicy with fried aubergine and it is insanely flavorful and fulfilling. Better come early as possible if you wanna avoid a queue.

Wen Cheng 2 is simply next level. The noodles are hand-pulled, incredibly aromatic, and always perfectly prepared. Every dish has that authentic Sichuan flavor that's instantly addictive. The service is fast, the atmosphere is lively, and you immediately feel the true craftsmanship at work here. For me, this is one of the places in Berlin that every visitor must be shown.

The value for money is great, the food was incredibly delicious, and it was ready very quickly! The staff was also super friendly!

Best noodles and service in Berlin!

Restaurants serving Chinese hand-pulled noodles are popping up like mushrooms in Berlin right now. Wen Cheng II is one of them. Why not? The food is delicious, you can sometimes watch the preparation, and the restaurants are easily organized like chain restaurants, with a counter and delivery to the table. Here, we ordered at the table and the food was delivered. The taste was good, no complaints. I'd be happy to go again.

The food is always top-notch. Service and ambiance vary. But we always enjoy coming here for the food.

We had the vegetarian Biang Biang noodles, and they were absolutely delicious! The varying spice levels will make any spicy food lover's heart beat faster! Delicious, we'd love to have them again!

Most importantly, the food was incredible... Be careful with the spice, they mean business! Regarding the service and ambiance, you'd have to say street food. It's not a cozy restaurant for a date night. You could describe it as hectic: loud music, fast-paced staff, the sound of the noodle makers banging in the background, and your food is ready within minutes. All in all, highly recommended if you don't let yourself get stressed.

Wen Cheng is always a top choice; this location has a particularly nice ambiance both inside and outside :) The B4 is my go-to order; with extra noodles, you even have some left over to take home. Delicious!

Delicious handmade noodles. We chose the classic beef and lamb ones. The meat melted in your mouth. It's great that you can choose the spiciness level when ordering. The open kitchen and the ability to watch the noodles being made are an added attraction. You'll leave full and happy.

A fantastic interior where you can watch the noodle-pulling process! The food doesn't need to be mentioned anymore; it's always so good...

Phenomenal. I ate the most rich, tastiest, softest meat tonight from here. The waiters were incredibly friendly, I even had a conversation with one. The food gets served within 10 mins max. And the kitchen has window walls so u see everything, there is even a show for how the hand picked noodles are made. Everything is very clean

Unfortunately, my visit to this restaurant was severely marred by the behavior of one of the employees. The service was unfriendly and unattentive. I was brought the wrong dish, and when I pointed it out, he responded in an annoyed manner, "What am I supposed to do now?" I wasn't offered any alternatives or anything else. In my opinion, friendly customer service is a must in the restaurant industry – I unfortunately missed that here. It's a shame, because the restaurant itself has potential.

Don’t underestimate the spicy options, the menu doesn’t lie about it being actually spicy! The noodles were insanely good and the portion size was perfect for us. I recommend the Shifu beer <3

Fantastic restaurant with their signature noodles. Lots of flavor, delicious spices, well-cooked meat and the homemade noodles make this restaurant a five-star visit. Would also like to recommend their rice beer, which went well with the potent spices. We look forward to coming again.

One serving isn't filling. Very little noodles, a relatively large amount of meat, and a lot of broth. It was like a soup to me. Not my taste.

Delivery via Wolt was a complete disaster! I ordered a meal for €27 but only got a pot of the supposedly biang biang noodles... supposedly because it was a soup! Look at my photos. I've eaten the same dish several times at Weng Cheng 1 and it was never as good as it was here today. And you can't reach the store by phone. Wolt support at least refunded my money in full. Conclusion: Wolt = very good! Weng Cheng 2 = very bad!

Amazing food, can be a bit crowded at times but its worth it

The price is a bit higher, but you get quite a lot of meat for that. The pieces of meat are very large, and the noodles are quite thick. It tasted pretty good, a bit like goulash. The noodles are quite exceptional. Unfortunately, we found the cucumber salad bland; we've had better ones elsewhere.

Nothing else to say than it was fantastic ! No words can explain the explosion of flavours and simply saying how comfortable the dining is. The staff makes it even more enjoyable. For sure it will be the best place that I will save in mind after visiting Berlin, definitely worth coming back !

In my opinion the best of the four wen cheng stores. Also the biggest one. Food is as always breathtakingly good.

Be careful, there's a risk of confusion! There are two restaurants on Schönhauser Street! It's delicious, though.

I come here regularly and I'm never disappointed. It's awesome!
