Jade Palast 玉面阁 in Berlin

Incredibly good restaurant imho. Food and service are excellent, I really enjoy coming here. The hand pulled noodles are obviously delicious, I specifically recommend the Dan Dan Noodles Soup with chicken. This is one of my favourite restaurants in Berlin, especially in Charlottenburg and I would recommend to try it.

The takeaway I ordered was carefully packaged and there was no leakage. The noodles are still very strong when delivered, but they are really spicy. My tolerance for spicy food is probably that I can eat ordinary turkey noodles. This is quite difficult to eat. I have eaten so many oily noodles in China, but they are not fragrant but delicious. It’s a bit spicy. Friends who can’t eat spicy food should be careful... Compared to Daming Restaurant, the Saliva Chicken is a few dollars cheaper but it’s completely bone-free. It tastes so good. The seasoning is relatively light and the sesame sauce flavor is obvious: a la carte I didn’t take a picture of the braised beef, but the quantity is okay. The seasoning is traditional, but the taste is a bit dry.

The service employee worked very attentively, which was clearly noticeable. The broth was really deep in flavor and had the perfect amount of spice, which I really appreciated. The beef, which consisted of the ox brisket, was incredibly tender and pleasant to chew. The only criticism was that the noodles were a bit too thick and had a slight flour taste, which was a bit of a shame.

Super delicious food! We had the table right next to the fridge (the table gave me that Refrigerator locked). Unfortunately, that was very annoying because the door was often opened and the cold air was always hitting me in the face. Would take away the table there completely. The rest was great!

Food was very tasty, the waitress was very friendly and accommodating. I haven't had such good service in a long time. I can only recommend it to everyone.

The food was great and Nice service. Vibe was alright but more for a quick dinner. They could use some music and lower lightings. One Dan Dan tofu wasn’t enough for me to get full. Maybe a bit small portions.

The food was really tasty and you could watch the chefs making and preparing the fresh pasta. Otherwise, the menu wasn't too big and overloaded, so I knew that a lot of it was freshly prepared. The service could be a little bit better. But there were only a few little things that bothered me. E.g. the loud beeping of the pasta cooking machine or that my full drink was simply cleared away. Otherwise, I can really warmly recommend the restaurant.

The soup was tasty and definitely not too spicy. You can watch the noodles being processed in the background. However, the light was too bright and therefore a bit uncomfortable

From a half-northwestern child: You either don’t call it oily noodles, or don’t make it taste like this... And this noodles can only be said to be the level of being pulled out by your own hands at home. Add some side dishes to fill your teeth. At this price, I really difficult to evaluate.

In general I felt it was missing depth, no overall punch to the flavors, I couldn't taste any garlic or cilantro. Noodles consistency was ok. Portions too small. Noodles with Chilly oil and ground beef for 17 euro are not cool. Over all it's ok. Nothing tasted bad. But nothing I would come back for. The competition is big in Berlin. Staff was nice though.

I've already tried a few handpulled noodle restaurants and find Jade Palast to be the most authentic. The staff is very friendly and the prices are very fair. I would definitely come back again

Nice noodles but sauces and broth were really mild in taste and a little boring. Portions are on the smaller side for the price. I appreciate having veggie options tho :)

This is the best place ever! I definitely think it’s worth going out of your way to try this place out! I went there both days and both days everything was just amazing! The food is out of this world, the service is great and super fast! I got the Hong Shao noodle soup with chopped tofu the first day and it was so flavourful, so delicious. It’s genuinely the best thing i’ve ever had in my life and I think about it even to this day! The second day we had the DanDan Noodles, again with chopped tofu to go and even though we came in 30 minutes before closing, the staff was so nice to us and they made us the food no problem! The hand made noodles are so bouncy and chewy, and so large! I really don’t know which part of the meal i liked most as all the ingredients were of high quality and delicious! I highly recommend the Hong Shao noodle soup with chopped tofu (and add some chilli oil, trust me, it will transport the whole experience to another level!). I’ll definitely come back here when I’m visiting Berlin again! Thank you to all the cooks and staff for the amazing experience 🙌

Noodles are top and authentic, but the waitress is terribly rude and impolite.

Overall it was good, but there are a few points to complain about. I think it's poor value for money. The food was quite expensive for the small portion and you won't even get full. The way the noodle-chilli-oil dish is served is a bit cheeky. It looks like it's a lot of noodles, but underneath the top "layer of noodles" is a big pile of bean sprouts. The amount of pasta you have is really small. The taste was good, nothing extraordinary. There is quite a bit of vegetarian choice, which is very good. Conclusion: You can do it, but you don't have to.

Good, but not at the level of nearby competitors. Hand-pulled noodles have become the standard for us... the noodles offered here tasted good, but seemed less handmade because they were too perfectly shaped. The service was less motivated. We had pasta in chilli oil (recommended) and pasta with tomato/egg (can't do anything). Price ok.

I had really high expectations for this restaurant because it is rated 4.8 stars. Unfortunately I was pretty disappointed. The service was really slow - we had to wait forever for our food. When the Dan Dan Noodles with peanuts and ground beef finally came, the taste wasn't particularly great either. The food was kind of bland and not what I expected with such a good review. Overall, the visit was unfortunately disappointing. Therefore I only give it 3 out of 5 stars. Hopefully things will get better soon!

Place that offers homemade noodles, well seasoned, very fast service, ideal place in case one day you don't have much time to eat/cook since they don't close in the afternoon

Unfortunately not as expected. 14 euros for pasta in oil is too much. The noodles were ok, but the oil sauce wasn't particularly tasty and was heavy on the stomach. No vegetables with it… Really disappointing.

One of the best noodles you can get in Berlin. You can see that the staff are making them by themselves behind the counter! The ingredients are all fresh, and the food tastes delicious and without any chemical additions. The choices on the menu are not too much, which is so much better than being overwhelmed with countless meals. There are even plenty of vegetarian choices, so everyone can be satisfied here as well. The service is also very kind and you feel welcome. It's definitely worth more than one visit!

Not worth 5 stars. Unfortunately I can't agree with the 5 star reviews. Cutlery wasn't clean, but we were able to exchange it. Still wasn't a nice feeling. Noodles were tough, sauces average. Unfortunately, the price-performance ratio isn't right either. The edamame tasted like water and was far too small for a whopping €5. You can do it, but you don't have to.

Love that they only have a small menu with a great choice and many vegan options. All of the vegetarian options are vegan and half of the starters are vegan as well. Tried the vegan Dan Dan Noodles with peanuts and tofu as well as the vegan Gyoza. The Gyoza was good, but missing a bit of taste. The Dan Dan Noodles where a 10/10 taste-wise but the portion could have been a bit bigger for the price. It was lots of cucumber and tofu, but not too many noodles. Only giving the good 4/5 stars because it felt a bit overpriced for what you get.

Great Noodle place. Dishes were full of flavour and crafted very well. The menu was small but very high quality. The place felt modern and clean. Staff were rather hands off which has its benefits and drawbacks.

The handoulled noodles were delicious! The broth was very spicy and flavorful. Everything was freshly prepared, you could even watch it. The ambience was quite nice but you sat outside right on the street.

Sadly, the whole experience felt overpriced. The steamed dumplings were just basic. 2 different Beef soups were ok. Noodles were thick and doughy, with an undercooked flavor. The bok choy type vegetable was big and served intact and undercooked so it was tough and it was actually comical trying to eat this big fibrous item. Broth was tasty. Hefty bill. Much better options to eat in the neighborhood.

Went for lunch to try their hand-pulled noodles. Not crowded. The Hong Shao Noodle Soup Base tasted better than the normal soup broth. A little spicy but still mild. In truth, there wasn’t anything special with the food. The noodles were chewy, definitely not undercooked but they were stiff. They could‘ve added more ingredients like veggies, but for a discounted price at lunch from 12-15Uhr on weekdays, it was okay.

I've lived in this neighborhood and especially in this corner my whole life. I kept seeing new shops opening and immediately closing again. With this one though, I hope it lasts for a while! Aside from the central location, the food here is delicious (although a little more expensive) and the staff is incredibly friendly. The menu is very clear and if you are unsure about the portions, the staff are happy to help. No card payments are accepted here, you should probably mention that on Google somewhere. Still not bad, as there is an ATM and a EC machine around the corner.

As a starter we had edamame. These were served cold and the portion was very small for the price. They didn't taste good either. The dumplings were very good. The Dan Dan noodles (homemade) with minced meat and peanuts tasted good, but the price was too high in relation to the portion and quality. Overall, the restaurant's price-performance ratio leaves a lot to be desired, even if the main course was convincing.

Jade Palast offers a first-class selection of Asian noodle dishes. The hand-pulled noodles were perfect: rich broth, tender noodles and juicy meat. The ambience is inviting and authentic, the service friendly and attentive. Fairly priced, you get a lot for your money here. A must for noodle lovers!

Update: Noodles today were only good because they were a bit too thick and chewy. The portion is now smaller and ordering spicy didn't work. Update: this time I asked for "very spicy" instead of the standard "slightly spicy" and the food was perfect for me: clearly spicy but still edible. Unfortunately still cash only

It is very delicious. It was a solid bibim noodle, and it had a texture like Korean bibim kalguksu. The noodles are delicious and the basic sauce is also delicious😊

It doesn’t look like much, but it tastes like a lot. There’s more beef than noodles, and it tastes great, especially the noodles, which are very chewy and very similar to the braised noodles in my hometown. It instantly brings me back to my college days~

During the lunch break we went to the Jade Palace. I've wanted to go there for a long time. It was cozier inside than I expected. Here too it was a relatively small shop, but it was almost empty. The waitress was always there and everything went really quickly. I love hand pulled noodles, these seemed a little overcooked to me, but they were still ok. I thought the combination with the cold cucumbers and the warm minced meat was really good and something different. I didn't notice that much about the peanuts. It was ok and tasty, but in my opinion there are better places with handpulled noodles.

I have been here with my family and friends. The food tasted really good. I have a small son. He's already made a bit of a mess on the floor. (This is normal for children.) But the staff were very nice and smiled at my son. I really want to come here again to eat.

We happened to go to the Jade Palace while eating yesterday and were so excited about it 😍 We both had the handmade Dan Dan noodles with peanuts and ground beef. I haven't eaten something so delicious in a long time! I can really recommend it. A visit here is very worthwhile :) The atmosphere is also really nice and the service staff were very friendly!

I ordered Dandan noodles and Youpo noodles. They were delicious.

The store is quite ok. We went there hungry, had to wait more than 20 minutes for our order to be taken, and then waited more than 20 minutes for the food to arrive. We waited about 50 minutes until we could eat something. Service was very friendly, but overloaded. The food was quite good, but I can do it at least as well at home. Prices were a bit too high for me. The partially open kitchen is great. You can see how the noodles are made by hand. I will certainly give the restaurant a second chance. All in all quite ok.
