After much consideration… and after tens of thousands of restaurants I’ve been to… and all the Michelin stars... This is by far the best restaurant I’ve been to in the world. It would be a privilege to eat here again.

Excellent Baden cuisine, fine wines from the region, and a cozy spot! Perfect! We usually like to go out for a spontaneous meal on vacation, depending on our mood, but I had made a reservation at the Baldreit wine bar well in advance of my trip. Why? Well, when I see beef tartare with soy mayonnaise, smoked paprika oil, and mustard ice cream on the menu, a visit is practically unavoidable. I couldn't miss it. A reservation proved to be a good idea, even during the week; the wonderfully quiet garden in the heart of the old town was packed late at night, and the lady of the house, Nicole Fouillé, and two other waitresses had their hands full. A remarkably well-coordinated team, and despite a slight buildup of hecticness, everything ran smoothly, and we felt well looked after. First, we were to enjoy a small wine tasting (€15) with six glasses (5 cl each). My boyfriend, of all things, took a liking to the red Baden country wine (Maier Tamino), which I would never classify as a country wine. The quarter liter was then served for a quite reasonable €9.40. Later, I was to enjoy a very nice Pinot Gris from the Andreas Männle Black Forest winery, which wasn't part of the wine tasting. And the Baden cuisine lived up to the fine wines. The beef tartare was something I couldn't have imagined in my wildest dreams: minced rather than sliced, but of the highest quality and beautifully seasoned, exactly the way I used to eat it as a little girl at home, though of course not with such great co-stars back then. I adored the combination of soy mayonnaise, smoked paprika oil, and mustard ice cream. There are some dishes that will always be remembered, and you don't necessarily have to have eaten them in a gourmet shop. Across the street, "Husband" enjoyed juicy lamb Maultaschen with spinach, roasted onions, and braised onions in a curry broth, all components harmoniously combined and wonderfully flavorful. After more liquid refreshments, we shared a tarte flambée with two different toppings – "Der Sombrero" and "Der Baldreit" – hearty and well-filled. We also really liked the historic interior. So, if the weather isn't so kind, you can linger here in a truly cozy atmosphere. In any case, we had a wonderful evening, enjoyed good food and a good meal, and on our next trip to the beautiful spa town, this friendly wine bar will definitely be our first stop. I'm not really jealous, but I would make an exception for these cute wine bars with their cozy courtyards.

A little beautiful hidden jewel - best food we had in Baden-Baden by a mile!!!! The Wurstsalat , Perlhuhnbrust and Steak were out of this world. Service extremely nice , very good winelist as well. Our only regret was, that we were too full to try one of the Desserts as the Special of Homemade plum compote with goat cheese ice cream just sounded so good. Will definitely be back.

We managed to snag a table spontaneously =) Everything was great! Exceptional, friendly service, a wonderful atmosphere, delicious food, and great wine recommendations! We had the dish of the day, roast beef with chanterelle mushrooms and spaetzle. Just like grandma used to make! The Maultaschen (swabian pasta) were also very good.

Thanks to another reviewer who highly recommended it, I went to this restaurant. I can only confirm this. Three people, including wine and dessert, cost around 50-60 euros per person, and we were all very happy. When I return to Baden-Baden, I'll definitely go back.

The ambiance is super nice! Definitely worth a visit. Make sure you make a reservation in advance. The service is very friendly, if a bit slow. The food is OK. But I'll definitely come back to try the other dishes.

An authentic and welcoming restaurant. Nicole was very helpful in explaining the menu and making wine suggestions. Best to book ahead, and try to arrive early (it can get crowded) and with a hearty appetite - the food is delicious and the servings are generous.

This was the best steak I ever had. It was cooked perfectly. It had delicious herbs, spices, a bit of gravy and the right amount of cooked onions and capers with a potato confit. Everything was delicious. The atmosphere was the best German experience you could ask for.

Sehr gutes französisches Essen, gemütliche Weinstube, bei warmem Wetter sitzt man schön im lauschigen Innenhof. Bester Flammkuchen, wunderbarer Salat, leckere andere Kleinigkeiten wie Schneckenpfännchen mit Whisky flambiert. Die vielen Fleisch-Hauptgericht oder Dorade haben wir nicht probiert, bestimmt auch sehr gut. Preis-Leistungsverhältnis stimmt. Sehr empfehlenswert!!

The "Im Baldreit" is always happy to see us - who live about 100 km away - as guests. In the harmoniously decorated rooms, fortunately not "modern", we were given what we like to come for: a non-bloated menu (usually with endless schnitzel variations), a board with daily recommendations (see photo), friendly, attentive service and a delicious meal, in our case roast beef with remoulade sauce and fried potatoes for 26.50 EUR. An addition to the description on the menu was a small salad addition, which was more than just a decoration and - like everything else - tasted very good. We'd love to come back.

Wir kamen durch Zufall vorbei und waren von den Tischen im Innenhof begeistert: So umfangen zu sitzen fühlten wir uns wohl. Der Service ist kompetent und zuvorkommend. Wir haben das Bärlauch-Risotto und die Nudeln mit Salsicia und Trüffel probiert und können beide wärmstens empfehlen. Die Weinkarte ist lang und da sollte jeder etwas für seinen Geschmack finden. Es war die Atmosphäre, gepaart mit dem Essen und den entspannten Gästen, das uns die Sorgen der Welt vergessen ließ. Wir gingen glücklich nach Hause und werden wiederkommen.

We had a great meal here during white asparagus season. We had a variety of dishes with fresh white asparagus that were all delicious. We sat outside in the ivy covered courtyard and enjoyed local after dinner schnapps. Highly recommend!

Today I was in the wine bar and I was inspired: the food was both traditional and fresh, the beetroot dumplings with apple-celery sauce and salad were hearty and had a citrus note at the same time. We came here on a recommendation and were not disappointed. We were lucky to get a spot. Reservations are recommended! The food was very tasty!! The deserts really excellent!! The service was also very nice. We felt completely comfortable and would definitely come back.

Dans la superbe vieille ville de Baden Baden, il y a un weinstube avec sa petite cour discrète qui vous fera aimer cette petite ville d'eau. De la déco (mention pour la terrasse fleurie, résa obligatoire) à la cuisine en passant par le service, surtout quand on vient de la France toute proche, le dépaysement est intégral, on oublie tout et on se régale de leurs plats typiques en buvant une bonne bière allemande ou un excellent verre de vin blanc local. Mention pour la tarte flambée version gratinée, ce fromage nous l'a rendue inoubliable..

Great place to eat in Baden Baden. We were looking for a place with Maultaschen, since it was recommended to us as a regional dish and that's how we found Weinstube. The terrace where we ate is a super pleasant environment full of plants and trees, very cozy. Regarding the food, it was very delicious and in generous portions, with one plate each we were quite satisfied. The Maultaschen was very delicious and some vegetable gnocchi that we ordered I would also recommend. Also mention the attention of the waiters, very attentive at all times and very friendly.

Exzellentes Essen, herzlicher Service und eine außgefallene Lokation. Der Theatersalat lohnt sich leider nicht, zu viel Schinken zu wenig Salat und wirkt insgesamt etwas blass neben all den anderen ausgefallenen Kreationen. Das Rindertartar war absolut umwerfend! Das Schnitzel war köstlich zart und mit viel Liebe gemacht. Insgesamt kann ich diesen Laden uneingeschränkt weiterempfehlen, danke für die schöne Zeit.

Een geweldig restaurant met een hele gezellige binnenplaats waar je heerlijk kunt dineren. Hele goeie en vooral vriendelijke bediening met aandacht voor de gasten. 2 keer achterelkaar gegeten en beide keren helemaal perfect met heerlijke gerechten en wijnen. Een echte aanrader.

Server only did the bare minimum. We asked about wine recommendation, but never received any wine. Ignoring us most of the time. Received 4 small slices of bread with my steak tartar. Had to ask for more, and they gave me three more tiny pieces. Summary: good food, decent prices, but horrible, slow, rude service. Took forever to give us the bill after requesting it. Would not go back.

I've known Baldreit for decades because I live around the corner and rarely visit there. As a typical Badner wine bar, I can only recommend it. The location and ambience outside are uniquely beautiful. Unfortunately, it's a bit worn out now and the pop music is a bit too loud, but you can sit very comfortably and have a good conversation. The menu is varied and the food is very good. Unfortunately, over the years the price level has increased significantly relative to other restaurants in Baden-Baden. Expect 30 - 60 € per person with a drink. The current operation could be a little more subtle, but I'm actually not that demanding.

Impossibly romantic and friendly staff with solid food makes this place special. Yes, they have a great selection of wine, but the local pour by the glass is really good. The flamme kutchen was outstanding as was the schnitzel but there were 5 or 6 other things on the interesting menu we wanted to try. If you want a romantic, special evening in Baden-Baden. This is the place. But, it is wise to make a reservation. Just stop by or call. The staff speaks many languages easily and are very welcoming.

Kein Restaurant zum Sattwerden, keine besonderen Spezialitäten: Zunächst wurden uns von der ersten Bedienung bei der Übergabe der Speisekarten mündlich auch drei Tagesempfehlungen vorgeschlagen. Bei der Bestellung fragten wir noch einmal nach Details der Tagesempfehlungen, und die zweite Bedienung brachte eine Tafel mit Beschreibung der Gerichte und den entsprechenden Preisen. Es wurde "Fang des Tages"(Kabeljau) bestellt: sehr wenig Fisch mit noch weniger Beilagen für 36.-€. Wir informierten die Bedienung, dass man nicht satt geworden sei. Sie schlug vor, noch einen Salat dazu zu nehmen - einverstanden. Bei der abschließenden Rechnung stellte sich heraus, dass der recht schlichte Salat mit 10,40€ berechnet wurde. Diskussion zwecklos; er musste bezahlt werden. Das ist Touristennepp.

This restaurant is a nice surprise. Finding it is not an easy thing as it is well hidden at the end of an alley. The atmosphere is very pleasant and the service professional and friendly. My wife being vegetarian, she was worried about finding the right fit in such an establishment. In the end, we all ate very well and plan to return!
