A really lovely cozy pub on a wet day. We ordered the Janine special and the turkey schnitzel and both came quickly and were really yummy and a great size. The prices compared to some places in town were a lot more reasonable. The staff were lovely, although English is limited.

The three of us ate at Hemingways today. The food was tasty, but we felt the cheese spaetzle could have used a bit more seasoning, as could the salad. The value for money is absolutely top-notch, and the service is truly friendly. All in all, highly recommended.

We were on vacation from Spain and came across this place by chance on Google, it turned out to be far beyond our expectations! The food was absolutely delicious, the atmosphere warm and inviting, and our waiter Erdem was exceptionally friendly and welcoming. It truly felt like home. The rum steak was the best I’ve ever had. Highly recommended!

We made an online reservation here for dinner. We received friendly service and a good meal. The value for money is definitely good for us. We'll be back. 👍

My husband and I go here at least once a year for our wedding anniversary, as it's not too far from home and therefore the children. Plus, even these days, you can still pay for the meal here and still get a good meal. The staff is always friendly and accommodating. When the weather is nice, you can also sit outside, and if it gets too crowded inside, they open up a second room.

Very nice owner. Friendly atmosphere, every request is anticipated. The food is fantastic, catering to every taste. Also recommended for vegetarians.

The menu is well-curated, featuring local dishes as well as classics like schnitzel and burgers. The food is tasty and reasonably priced, but unfortunately, it's nothing special. The waiter is friendly, but unfortunately, there were a few misunderstandings, resulting in us initially being served the wrong dish, and then the waiter didn't accommodate our request, which was overall unpleasant.

Hemingways is a typical village pub where solidly prepared food is served in a reasonable time and with very friendly service. It's definitely a recommendation for those hungry for a solid schnitzel, a beetroot carpaccio, or expertly prepared salmon.

A great, quaint pub with friendly and attentive staff; the drinks and food are delicious, served quickly, yet freshly prepared and beautifully presented. One of our two favorites in Baden-Baden :-)

The food and everything was okay. But smoking was allowed everywhere, which was very annoying. It was more of a bar and not recommended with children.

I can only recommend this restaurant. The venison goulash was excellent, and at a really reasonable price. The homemade spaetzle was also great. Everyone else at the table was also very happy. The service is also worth mentioning, the staff was very friendly and attentive. Overall, a thoroughly enjoyable visit to the restaurant!

We come here every year, and it's always full! While this is a bar, the food is fanstastic as well. Atmosphere is great!

The pandemic period was particularly bitter for the Hemmingway; it was only open for around 4 months. It has a nice little beer garden, which borders the main street (30 zone). The food was good and the service always tried to please its guests.

We had homemade goulash soup. For the main course, the children shared the Wiener Schnitzel with the delicious homemade spaetzle. The salmon was very nice with the vegetables. Everything was very fine. We'd love to come back.

Great food, we had the salmon with vegetables, it looked great and tasted great. It was quiet in the beer garden even though it was right on the street.

We went to Hemingways for the first time because of a concert at the Festspielhaus and because of the positive Google reviews. It was 4 in the afternoon on a Sunday and there was very little going on, so we were able to relax immediately in the beautiful, tree-lined beer garden from the stressful journey to Baden-Baden and the unfortunately equally stressful search for a parking space. It was super relaxing and beautiful from the first second. The Hatz Hefeweizen on tap was world class. We then ate the “Janine Spezial” schnitzel with homemade spaetzle and were thrilled. The only downside: The quantity was a bit sparse, but we had ordered a salad anyway, which was then served with delicious wood-fired bread and everything together was more than enough. The waiter was also very friendly and attentive. All in all, a very successful visit and we will come back. Oh yes, I still have one point of criticism: €3.90 for a small fruit water (2 cl) is not nice.

Top!!!! In Baden-Baden I eat every week

It is far from the center of Baden-Baden. We let ourselves be guided by the site notes and what a negative surprise. Neither the space, nor the atmosphere, nor the service and, worst of all, the food that we left almost entirely on the plate without the waiter moving.

The prices are relatively cheap, the food is delicious but the place is loud and the music is rocking. Not for dreamers and aristocrats. Watching football there...

Arrived here by bike at lunchtime because Google Maps recommended this restaurant to me. I quickly understood why, because the quiet atmosphere right in the fresh air was very nice and the turkey schnitzel with fries was also very good. The only flaw was that the fries were dry and were missing ketchup and/or mayo. The friendly service and the beautiful restaurant completely made up for it! We recommend.

I had an appointment to meet friends there around half past six. I felt comfortable. I ate the beetroot carpaccio. That was absolutely delicious. And the portion was completely sufficient. Price-performance was O.K.

Went for dinner with family. I had the Sauerbraten which was good. I would have personally preferred it with spaztle rather than noodles. I also tried the bruschetta starter. It had Parmesan grated over it which I wasn't expecting. They didn't really ask about allergies before service which is a given in the UK so do alert them in case you have any. I think considering it wasn't so full the waiter wasn't as attentive as I expected. With drinks taking a little longer. What I did like is that the menu is a reasonable size so you don't get overwhelmed by choice. Would visit to try another dish.

We had an excellent lunch at Hemingways. The food was delicious! The owner and staff were very kind and smiley! The atmosphere was also nice! We totally recommend the snitchel with the mushroom sause and the speatchels, the salad with the camembert & raspberries and the flammenkuchen! The dessert was also delightful :) Generous portions in all the dishes. All in all, a hidden gem that we were very happy to discover after a long day of baths in the spa nearby.

Während eines vorweihnachtlichen Kurzurlaubes in Baden-Baden suchten wir uns das Hemingways aufgrund der guten Empfehlungen und der Fotos zum Abendessen heraus. Wir wurden vom Anfang (Begrüßung) über das Ambiente, leckere Essen, Service bis zum Ende (Verabschiedung) nicht enttäuscht. Danke. Wir kommen beim nächsten Besuch in Baden-Baden gerne wieder.🤗

The best scampi 🍤 I had down here in Baden Baden. The last time I had a dish like this was in Hamburg harbour and it was 3 times the price. Awesome food ❤️ Great staff 🙏🏿 Bring some patience along but it’s worth the wait.

I have had the pleasure of eating and drinking here on several occasions. My German language skills are very poor. But the staff have always made me feel welcome despite me trying hard not to use me native English. The courtyard for me is a great way to unwind after a busy week at work. The service is very good even on busy periods and apart from one meal I had ( which I put down to one of those days) everything I have had has been nice. This is not a fine dining establishment. The food is simple basic "pub grub " But I have to say that the Special Schnitzel they do ( I think Jannine with the local pasta and a delicious Mushroom and Cream saucel) is one of the best plates of food I have had in the region for a while. Please give it a try.

The schnitzel and flamkuchen are amazing. They are extremely kind and attentive. They speak perfectly good English. Even the salad and fries that came with schnitzel were great. You can see they love what they do and seem happy.

Sehr gute Atmosphäre, prima Wirt, coole Gäste, Essen und Getränke einwandfrei und alles zu fairen Preisen. Kein Wunder, dass es so viele Stammgäste gibt und alle sich freuen, dass das Hemingways wieder auferstanden ist! Besonders schön im Sommer der Biergarten, wo man unter alten Bäumen Schatten findet. Die Flammkuchen sind einwandfrei, Speisekarte bietet genügend Auswahl. Wer Hatz Bier nicht mag, dem sei das Erdinger Weizenbier alkoholfrei empfohlen, ein tolles Sommerbier !
