We were here yesterday for the first time, but certainly not the last. From the aperitif recommendation to the espresso, it was an all-around wonderful evening. Refined dishes were lovingly presented. The food was extremely tasty, and the service was attentive. My food intolerances were accommodated without fuss. The ambiance is understated and stylish. The value for money is extremely convincing.

My wife and I had dinner here. We had booked in advance, as the positive reviews suggested a full house on a given evening. We were absolutely delighted from the start. The welcome, the service, the friendly staff, and then the food, which was truly a culinary delight. The appetizer and main course, as well as their perfect cooking, were simply perfect. If you want a really good meal, this is the place to go. We're just sad that we live an hour and a half away. Keep up the great work!

I suffered a severe allergic reaction (anaphylaxis) leading to hospitalization while eating at this restaurant, despite making my allergy entirely clear to the waiter and receiving multiple assurances about my meal choice. I, personally, would avoid this restaurant if you have any food allergies.

A lovely place to stop for a bite to eat and a drink. They serve good German cuisine that aims for a more upscale feel, but what ends up on the plate doesn't quite match that. It's really good, but not consistently perfect, which is to be expected given the prices. The service, however, is top-notch. These are professionals who not only put their heart and soul into their work, but truly excel at it. A 10 out of 10 for that, and keep it up, great service.

Very very good service. Food was fantastic, the pictures say more than 1000 words in my opinion. The restaurant is 100% recommended. We ordered the gourmet menu with wine accompaniment and our expectations were exceeded.

Bemühtes Personal versucht dem hohen Anspruch seit Neueröffnung gerecht zu werden. Die Preise sind schon mal gehoben.. Mein Gericht: Tafelspitz mit Meerretichsosse und Petersilienkartoffeln hat noch Potential nach oben (28,50 Euro) 0,7 L Wasser 7,90 Euro. Das Rindfleisch war prima und kam in einer weißen Soße daher, ohne eine würzige Meerrettich-Note. Auch etwas geriebener, frischer Meerrettich als Deko wäre schön gewesen. Eher schwierig ist dem Gast kleine Schüsselchen mit sehr kleinen Portionen an Kartoffeln und Gemüse zu servieren. Erstens wäre der Gast mit etwas mehr Kartoffeln und Gemüse zufriedener gewesen und zweitens kostet das nicht wirklich viel.. Bei der Rechnung wird das zu gebende Trinkgeld mit den Wahltasten +10% + 15% + 20% abgefragt. Kann man als Rechenhilfe oder Service verstehen… Oder als Aufdringlich…

We knew this place from years ago. We always enjoyed it very much. Now new owners and new map. Everything is very upscale and sophisticated. Delicious Swabian cuisine was once upon a time. The side dishes are very numbered and minimized. Nouvelle cuisine?

We stumbled over this restaurant which was newly renovated and the food was amazing from our starters to dessert. The staff was very friendly and I had very good vegetarian food here, the meat options looked amazing as well. The only very small critique I have, is I would have loved to have something crunchy or in different texture in the Spinatknödel dish, as it was very delicious, but overall one texture. But again, very small critique, the beetroots were absolutly amazing. Very much recommend this place and will come here again if I visit Stuttgart!

The portions are really hefty for just under €37 for an onion roast or €32 for a Swabian plate. The fact that they also skimped on the spaetzle, the Maultaschen and the potato salad made me very angry. The fact that they also charge €3.70 for extra sauce (we are not just anywhere here but in Stuttgart BC!) is the last straw. The twelve of us left around €50 per person with drinks. You can expect to get full from it. Take Rotenberger Weingärtle as an example! They are cheaper, have larger portions, don't charge anything extra for the sauce and explicitly mention on the menu that you can of course get more spaetzle and sauce free of charge if you ask. Just as it should be in a Swabian restaurant in the state capital!

Every time surprising, every time delicious, every time an experience... The dining room and outdoor seating are cute, the service is quick and attentive. We actually always eat the 4-course menu with drinks here. The plates are lovingly arranged, thought out with esprit and prepared immaculately. The beverage accompaniment always contains one or two real surprises. Excellent price/performance ratio. Always my pleasure.

We had dinner there on a warm summer evening and sat outside under the awning. The ambience: was great, quiet and cozy. The food: very tasty, great meat, super tender, portion large enough and good value for money. The service: very attentive, professional, fast and extremely charming. The wine: was good, but not very good. All in all, it was really fun and we'd love to come back!

Once again in the city moat😀. It's been a long time since I've had such a tender and delicious roast roast with onions in red wine jus and fine roasted potatoes. And the dessert is also simply delicious. Very attentive service. The price and performance are simply right.

Anlässlich einer Hochzeitsfeier gab es eine Auswahl bei der Vorspeise, Hauptgang und Dessert von jeweils drei Gerichten. Burrata auf Rucola mit gebratenen Pfirsichspalten, Zwiebelrostbraten und das Zitronensorbet waren sensationell. Definitiv werde ich wieder kommen!

On the occasion of a wedding celebration, there was a choice of three dishes each for the starter, main course and dessert. Burrata on rocket with fried peach wedges, onion roast and the lemon sorbet were sensational. Definitely I will come again!

Good food in a relaxed atmosphere

The waiter suddenly sits down at our table and makes misogynistic comments about women in front of the shop. At the end, we were very persistent in asking for a tip several times. I won't even mention numerous other unprofessional incidents here. Of course you have to mention that the food was very tasty. Still very expensive.

So I can't agree with some of these excellent reviews at all. The food is disappointing and still very expensive. Very limited selection, Swabian with oriental influence.

Also ich kann mich diesen zum Teil hervorragenden Bewertungen überhaupt nicht anschliessen. Das Essen ist enttäuschend und trotzdem sehr teuer. Auswahl sehr mager, schwäbisch mit orientalischem Einfluss.

Because of the positive reviews, we went there for dinner yesterday. And we were not disappointed. Anyone who likes Swabian food will get their money's worth here. I haven't had meat of such good quality in a long time. Thank you for the lovely evening, we will definitely be back.

I was there with my friends and we felt very comfortable, the food was delicious and it's rare to meet an attentive host these days who help you with your coat and make you feel completely comfortable as a guest

The food was of excellent quality. The onion roast was medium rare without being cold and nice and juicy. The spaetzle is really homemade, the sauce is a really nice, complex red wine jus. The homemade Maultaschen are also highly recommended and of course the wines too. Personally, I am not a fan of the more traditional, light red wines from Germany and prefer structurally strong wines from other regions with complex aromas and a strong body

Restaurant chaleureux avec un très bon accueil. Nous avions appelé le jour même pour réserver pour deux et avons été très bien accueillis. Le service était rapide et les plats de très bonne qualité pour un prix très raisonnable. Des options végétariennes mises en avant et travaillées (notamment dans les spécialités locales).

We visited Stuttgart almost 10 years ago and dined at this restaurant. It was one of the best meals I’ve ever had so when we found ourselves back in Stuttgart I knew we had to go. The food was just as delicious as I remembered. I had pumpkin soup and the beef bourguignon. My husband steak with spatzle and potatoes. Definitely recommend

Completely overpriced, food rather mediocre

I have traveled the length and breadth of the world, but nowhere have I come across so much emotion when welcoming and seeing off each guest and when preparing food that is INCREDIBLY TASTY and of high quality. And only the feeling when you are in this kind of environment 🫶🏼 my sincere recommendations from the heart! If I had a score of 10, that would be too little for you! Good luck in your work!

The food was excellent, but the service was overwhelmed due to the large number of visitors. So after quite some time we paid and because we didn't pay attention, we skipped the dessert. But otherwise it was worth the visit!

The food is okay, but the service is unacceptable: you have to come to the cash register to pay (that's not possible in an upscale restaurant!!!), empty plates are only taken away, "...when everyone is ready, otherwise I have to run several times" (statement from the waitress). So really, overall subterranean service - a shame :-(

Besuch am 01.12.23 aufgrund einer zuvor getätigten telefonischen Tischreservierung. Dann wurde uns leider mitgeteilt, dass ein Tisch auf meinen Namen nicht reserviert sei, nun gut, kann passieren. Man war bemüht nach einer Lösung zu suchen.bis dahin hat man uns zu einem Glas Sekt eingeladen. Leider waren die Speisen eher Mittelklasse und das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis passt leider nicht. Der Schwabenteller war gut bis auf die zu weichen Spätzle, wirklich schade für ein schwäbisches Restaurant. Der Zwiebelrostbraten war gut gebraten nur sehr viel Fett. Die veganen Knödel waren sehr lecker nur zu teuer. Die Maultaschen waren auch gut. Das Servicepersonal sehr aufmerksam und freundlich. Das Kassensystem ist schlecht, wenn man zum zahlen an die Theke muss. Eh schon alles beengt.

Ausgezeichnetes Essen, sehr guter schwäbischer Rotwein und sehr freundliches Personal. Wir kommen wieder.

Es war extrem voll, in unserem Dipp war eine Glasscherbe, meine Suppe war versalzen und es war absolut nicht preiswert. Die Fleischqualität war mangelhaft. Ich kann den Besuch nicht weiter empfehlen. Außerdem wurde man quasi durch die Gänge geprügelt.

Wir hatten gestern unsere Weihnachtsfeier bei Sebastian Ludwig und seiner Crew. Das Ambiente ist gemütlich und gepflegt mit angenehmer Beleuchtung, und man sitzt sehr bequem. Das Essen ist gepflegt schwäbisch / französisch und oft mit einer angenehmen Prise „Fantasie“ oder „Kreativität“ und unterscheidet sich somit eben doch ein kleines bisschen vom üblichen „gut Bürgerlichen“. Sebastian Ludwig ist ein persönlicher Gastgeber, und seine Crew, einschließlich seiner Frau, der Chef de Cuisine und dem Service, sympathisch und aufmerksam. Wir kommen sicher wieder.

Es gab Vegane Kürbispolenta auf Marsala-Blattspinat und geröstetem Sesam-Blumenkohl und in Portwein mariniertes Lammhüftsteack mit Erbsen-Minupüree und einem Muffin aus Bergkäserosti. Als nachtisch Baileymousse mit Kirschkompott und Schokoladencantuccini.
