Slow service and the prices are higher than in german big cities like frankfurt. The quality was acceptable but for this price point I expect more in Koblenz- maybe a tourist trap?

Honestly, I came here spontaneously because it started to rain and I wanted to escape with a beer. Then I looked at the pictures on Google and spontaneously ordered something to eat. The food was good, the young waiter was super friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere is lovely. Yes, admittedly, the menu is limited on Mondays and Tuesdays. But I still got something that wasn't on the daily special. Now that's what I call flexibility. The beer, the Federweißer, and the food were really good. As I said, a few dishes weren't available, but it was still very tasty. A lovely, delicious regional dish.

Poor service, endless wait times, and dirty tables… You don't feel welcome as a guest, but rather like a nuisance! The prices are steep: over €6 for a beer, €30 for a cordon bleu with croquettes,… Sorry, but we'll never go back here.

Plenty of space, but after more than 40 minutes, no service at all. Our group of 10 was ignored by three waitresses; when we asked, the only response was, "I'm not in charge." The benches are dirty and covered in resin—thanks for making us starve and ruining our pants.

After two of us waited over half an hour without being served today, I asked a waitress if we weren't being served. I was told that the restaurant was understaffed. Another lady replied very sternly that she could only work, but she had time to chat with the guests. I've been there several times over the past few years and was very satisfied. One star is still too many. I can no longer recommend the restaurant.

We were there with over 30 people after making a reservation. To cut a long story short... The food was average. Nothing more, nothing less. Some of it was obviously frozen food from the deep fryer. The service, however, was awful. It was almost impossible to get a second drink. The ladies seemed annoyed and completely overwhelmed. The final payment process took over an hour. Even during this wait, we had to get drinks ourselves inside. The urgently needed renovation should be used to reorganize staff, optimize processes, and reduce waiting times.

The atmosphere was great. The food wasn't that good. Our schnitzels were frozen. They were way too expensive.

We're here today as a club. We pre-ordered our food for 7:00 p.m., and at 8:50 p.m. we're still waiting for it. I feel sorry for the waiters; they're doing their best. The kitchen, management, and organization are completely messed up. Half of the food went back. We left a lot of money here and are very dissatisfied. If you can't handle a group like that, you don't have to accept it. The main thing is that the cash register rings.

Unfortunately, we had to leave the restaurant after half an hour without even ordering drinks (4 people). Although the restaurant was busy at 7:00 PM, having to wait half an hour to order drinks was still too long. When the waitress came, we politely pointed out that it had been taking a while, and were then asked very rudely whether we wanted to eat now or not. When we said no, we were advised to go to McDonald's. We will never visit this restaurant again.

We ordered through Lieferando. The delivery time was listed as 40 minutes. After 45 minutes, however, the delivery status hadn't changed, so we called the restaurant. They initially didn't even know that our order had been received. We therefore requested a cancellation, as we didn't have another hour to wait for the food. However, we were simply told to contact Lieferando. After Lieferando referred us back to the restaurant with the issue, and we tried to call them again, no one answered. We now hope to at least get the order amount of over €50 back.

You can't give zero stars! The food just doesn't come! Registered (senior) tour group for 7 p.m., small, nice selection for a three-course menu, soup arrived after an hour after requesting it (seniors on medication need set meal times). Now it's been 1 hour and 50 minutes since the announced meal time, or rather, since ordering (liquor is on the house - but that's not the point). Other regular guests arrived 1 hour later, and a larger group has already finished eating! That's not how you treat guests, and even if everything has already been paid for, a 30-minute wait would be normal, but that's not how it works. There's a reason for the 3.9 rating, and only the courtyard was half full, and that was during the best Rhein in Flammen weekend, so it should have been packed that evening with 10,000 expected guests - that explains a lot! In a few weeks, the restaurant will be closed for two years for renovations anyway - I hope everything will be better after that! And above all, honest communication with the travel agent about whether the request/order can be fulfilled! Nice atmosphere, and our waitress (temp) was very nice.

We had high hopes for this historic building complex, which looked elegant from a distance. It all started with the welcome. The only waiter saw us, but didn't greet us. We northern Germans thought that wasn't the Rhineland's welcoming culture. We had actually made a reservation and were a bit early; there were plenty of free tables in the courtyard. So we sat down at one of the unloved and worn beer garden tables and waited in vain for the menu. Meanwhile, my wife went to the restroom, but when she asked where it was, she received only puzzled looks. After that moment, we really should have left. Upon request, the very clear menu appeared: a sheet of paper in a thin A4 folder, the kind you'd expect from a snack bar. The prices, however, were quite high. To cut a long story short, instead of the non-alcoholic beers we ordered, we were served alcoholic ones. A swap was made. A tarte flambée costing over €20, almost cold, with a questionable topping. My two schnitzels resembled pressed schnitzel and came without the mushroom sauce I ordered, which I really shouldn't have complained about. It consisted of the typical dark brown ready-made sauce you find in cheap cafeterias and with packet sauces. It seems the chef is being replaced by someone who doesn't know the profession. The reasonably large side salad was the best part. In the end, the waiter couldn't give any change and essentially deprived himself of his undeserved tip. My worst value for money in decades. Stay away.

Last weekend, five of us went to the Koblenz Wine Village. We had made reservations in advance, although that wasn't necessary that evening. I knew the restaurant from a company outing last year and was very pleased. The wine village is in a great location right on the Rhine, and the large, beautifully designed cobblestone courtyard is surrounded by several half-timbered houses (where various group sizes can celebrate). At first glance, it looks very quaint and cozy. At second glance, some issues with order and hygiene became apparent. 1.) We were sitting under a large market umbrella, and after we had already finished eating, we noticed that the entire frame of this umbrella (and all the other umbrellas too!) was covered in cobwebs, spiders, and all sorts of other creatures, leaves, and feathers that had become entangled in the cobwebs. These cobwebs hadn't just formed; they were probably at least a few days, more likely weeks old. 2.) The courtyard had obviously not been swept in a while. 3.) Some tables weren't cleared, even when the guests had left for over an hour. 4.) The restrooms weren't checked regularly either. The service was obviously overwhelmed and uncoordinated, even though our server was very friendly and helpful. After paying, we asked our server about the dirty market umbrella directly above our heads. First, the server explained that this area had only recently opened, then she called the manager, who was sitting at a neighboring table. He just laughed at our comments and tried all sorts of excuses, e.g., that there was a spider infestation and that after cleaning, it would look the same again just two hours later. He would have to clean every two days. And so on. Yes, you just have to do it!!! However, he didn't take our comments about the dirt seriously, and I suspect the umbrellas still look the same. By the way, we specifically made our comments AFTER paying so as not to give the impression that we wanted a discount on the bill. He then tried to trick us by offering us a sample of his self-developed cosmetics, thus exploiting the situation for advertising purposes. There was no sign of any genuine insight! The Weindorf's pricing is very high, which, however, is not reflected in the quality of the food. We all enjoyed it, but for this quality, the price for one industrial schnitzel with fries, ready-made sauce, and salad at €23.50, or the price for two fried eggs with fried potatoes and salad at almost €16, is clearly too high. A 0.75-liter bottle of water costs €7.50, and the prices for a 0.2-liter glass of wine range from €5.80 to €11.90 (!!!), and that's for wine from local wineries!!! The restaurant is probably mostly frequented by tourists (or groups of tourists), which is probably why the prices are so high. Tourists often only come once anyway, and the next tourists are sure to come. We won't be coming back. What a shame about this actually lovely restaurant in a great location.

Great ambiance! Unfortunately, the crew is completely overwhelmed, both in the kitchen and in the service department, but they're still trying very hard. The food was mostly okay, after the two-hour wait, but one salad and the wine village meat platter were completely returned.! The first two bottles of Riesling were room temperature (July 2025, so around 25 degrees Celsius), but they could then be chilled with plenty of ice for a spritzer. The closure in the fall for renovations should be used to reposition ourselves, and then we'd give it another try. (Family outing with 14 adults)

Actually, it's recommended if there are enough service staff. We had to wait a very long time for service.

The food tastes completely bland and doesn't seem fresh. The salads, in particular, look completely old. The cucumbers are small and shriveled, the tomatoes completely dry. Unappetizing. The schnitzels are frozen. A shame. Great atmosphere, but far too expensive for the poor quality. Just a guess, but a Chinese chef in an old brewery? Never again...

I was a guest at the Weindorf three years ago. The service was terrible back then, which is why I didn't really want to go back. My girlfriend persuaded me to try it again. This time, the Weindorf did much better. The food was very good. The service seemed a bit uncoordinated in places. The courtyard is very nice, but unfortunately a bit noisy – but I don't want to criticize that as a negative, as it would be unfair to give the Weindorf a negative review when it's doing well. The dishes are a bit on the high side, but we enjoyed everything.

The waitress doesn't know how to greet guests. Then the wrong wine arrived. It was replaced, but we had to wait quite a while for new glasses. Even though it wasn't busy, the staff was overwhelmed.

Unfortunately, I can't agree with the many reviews about the courteous service. The visit was characterized by forgetfulness and other errors. We didn't receive any greeting. Guests were always wished bon appétit as they left.

The food, the ambiance... no one can complain. However, the service deserves special mention. The lady who served us was incredibly friendly, witty, and charming. Rarely do you feel such a warm welcome. High praise indeed.

I never write things like this, but the food isn't worth the price! The rösti with 80% oil and salmon was good, yes, but the service was really bad. The price was way, way, way too expensive. €25. And the staff were completely untrained... for that price, I at least expect service!

An unforgettable evening with Rita – wine, warmth and a lot of attention to detail We were able to experience a wonderful wine tasting at Rita's with six girls - and what can we say? It was just perfect! From the first moment we were greeted with so much warmth that we immediately felt comfortable and welcome. Rita not only presented a great selection of wines, but also created a very special atmosphere with her knowledge, passion and charming manner. Every sip was a pleasure, accompanied by loving explanations, little stories and a noticeable joy in being a host. The wine tasting was not only a culinary highlight, but also emotional - there was a lot of laughter, enjoyment and simply celebrating the moment. You can feel that Rita is doing this with all her heart, and that's exactly what made the evening so special. Dear Rita, thank you for this great experience – we will remember this evening for a long time!

The 50€ per person It's worth the money for Sunday brunch. You have to do it! Until I got to the champagne reception, I was skeptical. We were then led to a table already set with drinks. From here I knew I was going to have a great Sunday lunch. Things only got better from here. Thank you very much for your efforts, dear Weindorf team!

We celebrated our wedding there 7 years ago and were very impressed by the atmosphere and the food. But back then the operation left a lot to be desired. She appeared as if she were serving in a Hofbräuhaus. She was very loud and made no secret of the fact that she was stressed. You hardly dared to order more drinks. When she brought us the food she called out from afar, who has the schnitzel...Very strange and highly inappropriate for the occasion. Yesterday we had dinner again in the Weindorf before an event in the Rhein Mosel Halle. What can I say, we had the lady mentioned in service again. Over the years, the treatment of guests has gotten even worse. As soon as we asked about a free place, we were approached. The ladies in whose place we joined told us more of the lady's impossible behavior. After it was their turn 20 times, we were told that it was terribly stressful and that it was only people like us who didn't make a reservation who were to blame. When one of the ladies wanted to order a starter, she was reprimanded so that she had to eat the main course first and then the rest. The food was slammed in front of us and I didn't even get the salad that went with it. When my companion had paid and I wanted to pay next, I had to be told that she would now go in turn and it wasn't my turn. To be honest, we do have a shortage of skilled workers, but I doubt whether this justifies letting this lady loose on guests. She is completely overwhelmed with her work and the guests notice it. Maybe you should simply give her a smaller and therefore more manageable work area so that her behavior towards guests improves. It would be very desirable.

Unfortunately everything is far too expensive! The dish can be spiced up with various “side dishes”. Of course, only for an expensive, additional price. It was nice there but not enough for a whole evening for me.

Unfriendly waitress didn't let us sit outside because she would be cold serving us.

Were there on a Tuesday evening, which would normally be a day of rest, but since it will be closed for renovations from autumn 2025, there is a slimmed-down menu on Monday and Tuesday, on which everyone still found something. The advantage was that we had the restaurant almost to ourselves. Food was pretty good and very plentiful, including drinks 22 to 25 euros per person, which is somehow normal now.

Actually it was quite good. The food was delicious and the service was also attentive. But the best food doesn't taste good from dirty dishes. Kind of a shame

Unfortunately the ambience isn't great. In particular the long-standing beer garden. But....... the service was excellent, as was the kitchen, very good food and plenty of it too. This can be highly recommended.

The one service was harsh and insensitive. The other waitress was overwhelmed and haphazard. They had no idea about the food. Unfortunately, the food was just okay for around €30 per portion. The price is absolutely not justified. The starter salad that comes with the main course is almost a normal main course portion size. It wasn't fresh, it had been there since at least the morning. Unfortunately, the starters were also a bit of a joke (old pretzel sticks, pickled vegetables instead of fresh, bread not fresh, small portion for a lot of money). In addition, the menu doesn't say at all what is included with the starters, which is why it couldn't be eaten due to intolerance. The drinks are way too expensive. Conclusion: Price way too high. Food just OK. Service acceptable. Too bad. There would be more there.

4 employees asked if anyone had already been with us. 4 times unfortunately no. After 20 minutes we left.

We were there for the first time yesterday and we won't be there for the last time. The selection that we had at the brunch was really great. That alone should give it 5 stars. Great location with a large menu offering. Schnitzel in all variations. One is completely sufficient, two is hardly possible.

In September 2024 we celebrated our wedding in the Weindorf (Braustübl) and were more than thrilled. Communication was great, the food was excellent and the service was first class. We didn't have to worry about anything on our special day and could just enjoy the celebration.

We went there spontaneously for “brunch”. Actually, it's not a real brunch, but a breakfast buffet followed by a lunch buffet, which certainly justifies the price of EUR 49.90 per person. You are greeted very nicely with a glass of champagne. Drinks are included in the price and there are various wines available for tasting, so you can also do a mini wine tasting. The buffets were professionally prepared and refills were also made. The service staff were very friendly and accommodating. However, the buffet area is quite small, so it is very tight when there are a lot of guests there. The radiators in the guest room were running, but apparently not for long. Therefore it was quite cold at the table, which affected the comfort a bit. Hence 4 gourmet paws from Maksima

Super nice restaurant in a great location. The food is delicious and the service is friendly. The boss's commitment is particularly noteworthy. There was a small mishap with a food order. The wine village then showed itself to be extremely accommodating. Here the guest is valued personally! You simply feel at home in a restaurant run like this! :) We're looking forward to trying out the new wine cosmetics soon :)

Were there for the first time today. Prices are indeed high, but the food, sauerbraten and Jägerschnitzel, was really good. Service was very friendly and accommodating, our dog also received water and treats. The toilets are very clean, the atmosphere is rustic and cozy. We'd love to come back

We had our Christmas party in the wine village. Unfortunately I can't say much positive things. For food there was red cabbage, dumplings and duck. Except for the red cabbage, the food was good. When we complained about it (the red cabbage tasted very floury) we immediately gave new ones. Unfortunately our dessert was forgotten. The service was underground, very unfriendly. I can understand that you are stressed when the house is full, but I have never experienced such unfriendly service. You weren't even allowed to take off your jacket, then she came over and pushed me aside, "I have to get through here immediately," maybe she would have understood if she had been carrying hot plates. In hand - a bottle of wine. We had already survived leaving the restaurant. I will not visit the wine village again and cannot recommend it. There are much better restaurants in Koblenz.

Actually a nice restaurant close to Rheim. The food was tasty, but I understand something different by smoked salmon. My food was a lot, it would have fed two people. At the end when we wanted to pay we felt like we were being ignored. A little music wouldn't have hurt either because you can hear other people without chatter. Very intrusive!

Good food, great view... Nowadays you almost can't afford it anymore. For an over-soured sausage salad with fried potatoes, €19.99 is quite sporty. At the black pudding feast, mashed potatoes were served that were not. Made from floury potatoes that weren't mashed properly and there was no butter or milk! That's €24.99! No response to complaints except that it tastes better in my house. We are from Koblenz and have been eating at Windorf again and again for decades. But today for the last time! Too bad!!!

Yesterday, Wednesday, December 18th, 2024, I was a guest in the Weindorf with my wife and 4 friends. The ambience really impressed us. The entertainment value was also absolutely fine. However, if I pay €22.90 for a meal, I can Guests demand that the food be warm or hot on the plate. This was absolutely not the case. I then consumed the food with reluctance. For eating 0 stars for me.

Since the operator of the wine village also comments on some reviews, I would like to express my objective opinion. It was a nice evening, albeit with a bit of "taste". Our service staff was a little harsh at first, but that turned into friendliness. The quality of the food was, to put it in school terms, satisfactory. The quantity was sufficient and the price was poor. My schnitzel for €23.40 had around 130-150 grams. The price of the tarte flambée shown (€21.50) defies description. The drink prices can otherwise only be found in places that are on a different level. Conclusion: Nice celebration, but privately I will spend my money somewhere where the price-performance ratio is right. P.S. And selling an apple strudel from the wholesaler that definitely hasn't seen an oven to heat it up for €11.50 borders on usury.

We spent our Christmas party 2024 here. It was already just below freezing so we mostly stayed indoors. Food and drinks and the buffet were very tasty.

On the banks of the Rhine, certainly very pleasant in summer, typical German inn restaurant. Copious cuisine, decent dishes. Service on the other hand extremely unpleasant almost rude by a mature woman, we were on the verge of leaving.

Very tasty food, nice portions. Very nice service. We were there with a group of 15 people and we were all very satisfied. Happy to recommend.

Nice location on the Rhine. The food is delicious. Unfortunately, no extra knife was included with the rump steak. With the normal knife you would rather shred the meat than cut it. Service was good and attentive.

Special ambience, delicious food. Fried potato menu ridiculous. Vegetarians also want to be full. Overwhelmed service staff who explained to us several times how and why she was stressed.

Were there in summer 2022. The atmosphere is historic and very cozy, the staff was very friendly and helpful. The waiting time was quite reasonable, but the waiters apologized for taking so long and brought everyone a glass of Riesling (free to their door). The portions were really big enough, which is no longer the case in many other restaurants. Our conclusion: 10/10 points in all respects!!!

The menu also offers dishes that you can no longer get in restaurants, such as Rhenish sauerbraten. We were there with a group of 40 people and were able to bring the cake ourselves, but a flat rate (dishes, dishes, etc.) of €4.80 was charged per person, which is fine. The food was very good and there was a good selection of other drinks in addition to wine.

We got there. The table was beautifully set. The ambience was very nice. We sat down and complained about 3 glasses that still had lipstick on them. Then I put the glasses down and the waitress told me that they had a system and I should put them there the way you put them needs.we had booked the wine tasting with 6 wines with 4 people.1 sparkling wine at the beginning there were 4 wines from the same glass.At the end 1 red wine that was at least as warm as tea.It was a warm day but the wine was at this room temperature inedible. Above all, we were chatting when the waitress came, we had to hear her immediately. The whole evening was very, very unfriendly. We had to pay 320 and when paying I asked the waitress why she was so unpleasant the whole evening. She just shrugged her shoulders and was over 60 years old. Behaved like an 18 year old and didn't answer why so unfriendly when asked 3 and 4 times. I was the driver so I didn't drink much and also watched the other tables where she was serving, everyone got right Treated badly. Groups also said to us that they had never experienced that before. Why does such a person work in such a wine house. We will never see this house again because of the situation. Never recommend it to anyone. All the best.

Really really expensive! Dessert (apple strudel with vanilla sauce and a scoop of canned ice cream and a little cream! The apple strudel was warmed up in the microwave and didn't taste good at all and that for €11.50! All the other dishes on the menu also seem completely overpriced! Here they are You're being ripped off for your money! The price-performance ratio is in no way true!

Large beer garden in the inner courtyard of a half-timbered building ensemble. Staff friendly, large selection of food and drinks. Priced in the higher quality range. It feels like a location that is primarily aimed at tourist customers.

We were invited to brunch in the wine village with a larger group on Sunday morning. First of all, there are only positive things to report. A large selection of cold and warm dishes, starters and desserts were offered in a very good quality. The staff, in this case the chef and waiters, were very nice and eager to offer us a pleasant stay in the beautiful rooms. We can absolutely recommend the Sunday brunch and would be happy to come back.

The wine village is really a beautiful place. However, the food is very average and incredibly overpriced. A salad with salmon costs around 28 euros. The salad dressing is almost unbearable. Way too much vinegar. My large wine spritzer (0.4l) apparently costs 16 euros!!! I ordered it spontaneously without paying any attention to the price beforehand. The service was unfriendly and rude. We definitely won't come back! The wine village could be such an amazing place! Too bad!

We had brunch in the wine village on Sunday with 11 adults and 3 small children. At the beginning there was a champagne reception. The quality of the food was super good, a lot of choice of cold and warm dishes (fish, meat - whatever your heart desires), delicious desserts and, at the end, ice cream. You can sit outside in the beer garden and inside. Service staff very nice and helpful. Located directly on the Rhine, nice for a walk. We will definitely come back, we felt very comfortable.

I don't think I've ever met such unfriendly service in my life. If you take out your bad mood and displeasure on guests who can't do anything about it, it's better to change careers.

Great setting, and friendly staff, but felt like the place was stuck in 1970s. If you are looking traditional German fare this is great option, but it's very pricey compared to the quality you can get elsewhere in the city.

We only had a little something to eat. Not cheap, but tasty and fresh. The service was really great. Very attentive and forthcoming. And absolutely friendly.

We had dinner in the wine village with a group of 8 people and ordered different dishes. The starters were served very quickly and the main courses arrived almost at the same time, which we really appreciated. What is particularly noteworthy is that with schnitzel dishes you have the option of increasing the number of schnitzels as desired. My wife was already full after one schnitzel. I had the bruschetta as a starter and was very happy with it. It was richly topped and I recommend eating it with a knife and fork ;-). My main course was the sliced ​​turkey, which was served with a slice of pineapple as a visual accompaniment. This wasn't mentioned on the menu, but I really liked it. The service was friendly and attentive, which made our evening even more enjoyable. Overall, we had a very nice evening in the wine village and will definitely come back.

Very unique great location. This restaurant is set up like a village. Were received very warmly here. Even our dog was greeted with treats. The food was very good and plentiful. The service was very attentive and always present. I found it very pleasant here, we can only warmly recommend the restaurant.

We visited on July 5th, 24 with 5 people, it wasn't our first visit there, but it will be our last. As always, the food was good enough, although very expensive compared to the competition in Koblenz. But service can make an evening unforgettable and it did here too, unfortunately not in a positive way. The restaurant was largely empty and yet nothing in terms of service worked. Three starters were ordered at the table and we specifically asked if we wanted them BEFORE the main course. We agreed with this and yet the starters and main course were served at the same time. Two of the guests then had the main course returned to keep it warm and eat the starter first. Unfortunately, we were completely forgotten and the rest of the table had almost eaten until we had to tell the waiter that we were still waiting for the food and that he hadn't asked for drinks since the first round of drinks. In the meantime, an attempt was made to get another waitress to help, but she only referred to the actual waiter and complained several times in front of us and other guests about how poorly he generally did his job. Overall, I can say that the beautiful view in a few places in this location unfortunately doesn't justify a visit and I strongly advise against a visit if you don't want to be completely disappointed by poor service.

No longer recommended for food, only for drinks. Understaffed in service and kitchen. Long waiting times even for simple dishes (flambée). This also translates in price to sparsely used average goods (over 20 euros). Location on the promenade and absence of competition is exploited. I knew it differently a few years ago. A pity!
