Great outdoor ambiance. Delicious soul food and attentive service. Four of us were there and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The restaurant is only open on weekends because the owners run it as a side job. I have the utmost respect for that. Be sure to make a reservation outside.

We were in the courtyard with eight people and were asked to leave after an hour because other guests wanted to sit down. We each had two drinks. We definitely won't be going back.

We were out at the City Wall Festival and wanted a drink, so we ended up here. We asked if it was possible to order a drink. Of the three tables, two were still free, and we took them. After some time, we were asked to either leave our seats or go inside to free up the outside seating. After exchanging arguments and the owner's appearance, we finished our drinks and left. I've never experienced anything like this after a decade in the Palatinate. My wife had also eaten something. When such a sudden reaction comes after asking, it's incomprehensible to me. After half an hour, two of the three tables were occupied.

So, as an Egyptian, I went to this place without any expectations as I have been disappointed before when it came to Egyptian cuisine. But let me tell you, it DELIVERED! The koshari was on point! Just perfect, and the kebda as well! The family is just lovely. The whole experience was lovely and we will sure be coming again, Good job guys!

small and cozy, the owners are very committed and friendly and the food is simply great! The baba ghanough and the chicken drumsticks (butter-tender) are particularly recommended, but everything really tastes great.

Wonderful! The small but fine menu promises authentic cuisine and that's what you get: the two individually and lovingly cooked dishes serve fresh and delicious. Accompanied by a diverse wine list. Extremely delicious as it is delicately seasoned and vegetarians will also get their money's worth. Just go in and try it! An absolute insider tip for people who fancy fine Arabic cuisine.

Very nice, small restaurant in a beautiful location. The service is familiar and friendly and the food is great. The dishes were unusual but everything tasted great and the seasoning of the dishes was excellent (we had 2 starters and the Koshary itself). I particularly liked the 2 additional sauces to individually sharpen/flavor the koshary (homemade of course). Overall, a very nice evening and experience

Very good local wines and Cairo-Palatinate fusion food at its best. In this small but fine restaurant you can sit beautifully under old trees and have a nice selection of local wines, many of which are also served by the glass. The owner provides excellent and friendly advice. The highlight is the food: We had a Sentianolle Baba Ganoush, and because we were here for the first time, the “signature dish”, a Koshary. Everything perfect, a taste experience, without any convenience products or ready-made sauces. Following the boss's advice, you should actually first dose the home-made habanero sauce drop by drop, but you will then be rewarded with a fine, fruity spiciness that has nothing in common with the usual “hot sauces” a la Tabasco. The menu also offers other very interesting, changing dishes from Egypt, which we will try on further visits in the near future.

This restaurant is truly unique in the region. Such a lovely couple with passion for good quality food with superb taste explosions! The terrace is on a cozy square and inside there’s only 4 tables. Definitely recommend.

Super delicious food! Koshary is great and the liver was a poem! Homemade sauces on top, great! Very nice service. Only Palatinate's favorite, a cheap Riesling, is missing from the menu. But the wines on offer are top. We'll definitely come back.

A very atmospheric restaurant with an excellent wine list. We were there at the weekend and everything was just right: the most delicious oriental food, great ambience and the courtyard is definitely the most beautiful place in the entire old town of Freinsheim. The couple who run it are super friendly. Clear recommendation!!

We have already been to Wein and Koshary twice and tried everything with friends. The eggplant starters are a poem, the vegan koshary is delicious and the two sauces are so well balanced that there is something for everyone, depending on whether they prefer the dish spicy or milder. The chicken legs are wonderfully seasoned and the rice that comes with it is, according to our friend: "the best rice I've ever eaten." And don't forget the matjes, they are excellent, my husband especially loves them.

Sehr leckeres Essen, dass man so kein zweites Mal in der Region findet. Das Restaurant ist klein und gemütlich und direkt in der Altstadt von Freinsheim mit Sitzmöglichkeiten im Von Busch Hof. Kann man nur empfehlen:)

Ein kleines, feines Lokal, sehr zu empfehlen! Wer Koshary nicht kennt, muss es unbedingt probieren!
