Weilands am Potsdamer Platz in Berlin

The quality of the food was excellent—unfortunately, the manager blamed his staff for his own mistake, subsequently changing the options for a family meal, negatively altering the quality of the individual menu items, and attempting to overcharge for drinks on the final bill. What a shame that such an excellent meal was significantly compromised by such misconduct!

Falafel bowl: barely any content, inferior ingredients, price-performance ratio at least at lunchtime shortly before closing time abysmal... a shame

Disappointing experience – unfortunately not recommended The ambience of the restaurant is truly beautiful and tastefully designed – you feel at home here from first glance. The food was also okay, if nothing special. The service was unfortunately the biggest downside of the evening. While the waiters were polite, everything seemed extremely disorganized and chaotic. Two different servers came to take our order – a clear indication of a lack of communication within the team. I was also surprised that only English was spoken. In a restaurant in Germany, you should at least have the option to communicate in German – for me, that's part of the service. What really left me speechless, however, was that at the end, my male companion was naturally brought the bill – even though I had already put my wallet and card on the table. I was neither looked at nor questioned. This struck me as pure sexism, something I've never experienced before. All in all, I can't understand the many positive reviews. For me it was a disappointing experience – I certainly won’t be coming back.

Honestly, the team at Weillands is incredible! I was in a real jam, needing cash but didn't have any on me. They went totally out of their way to help me figure it out. Because of them, I was actually able to get my work done – they really saved the day. Huge thanks to the staff; their kindness was amazing!"

Very good food, in a modern, industrial, somewhat stylish setting. Unsuitable for family meals unless everyone speaks English. Not a single employee spoke German, whether part of the concept or not. It was annoying. The menu, however, is in German? Service was polite, rarely seen, and all orders came with reminders. As I said, the food was good.

We went here because it's close to Potsdamer Platz. Unfortunately, we didn't find the service or the food particularly good. We had to wait a long time to order, and the staff only spoke English. The food tasted exclusively of cumin, even though Israeli cuisine offers so many delicious spices. The chicken was quite dry, and the bell peppers tasted bitter. For the price, you can expect much better food in Berlin.

There were two of us at 5:30 p.m. and the restaurant was empty. The waitress said the kitchen was busy and she couldn't let us in.

I had a wonderful dining experience at Weilands am Potsdamer Platz. The food is absolutely delicious, and a few standout dishes really made an impression. The baba ganoush was rich and flavorful, perfectly balanced in texture and taste. The pita bread deserves a special mention. It was served soft and warm, just the way it should be, making it a great complement to the dips. Another highlight was the Ofengebackener Blumenkohl (oven-baked cauliflower) perfectly roasted, seasoned well, and full of flavor. One of the most delightful moments was sitting beside the water in the evening, enjoying hot and tasty pita bread with hummus. It was simple, peaceful, and truly satisfying. In addition to the great food, the service was top-notch. The staff were friendly, attentive, and welcoming, making the whole experience even more enjoyable.

Went to Weiland's spontaneously because the Vietnamese restaurant opposite was fully booked. Despite being fully booked, I still got a place, very flexible! Drinks and food were at the table 11 minutes after ordering. Baked cauliflower, BabaGanoush, CesarSalad all good and in sufficient quantity. Homemade cucumber lemonade was delicious. Service young but friendly. I would go there again.

A great evening at Weilands! Very nice and quick service, delicious starters and main courses (chicken or steak), you can sit well outside in the sunshine and very cozy inside. Only the toilet is a little outside, so it's better to go in pairs... :-)

A real culinary highlight at Potsdamer Platz! I was completely impressed by the Weilands with its Levantine cuisine. The dishes were super fresh, extremely colorful and a real taste explosion - perfectly seasoned, aromatic and simply delicious. The service was also great: very friendly and attentive, the food came to the table quickly. The atmosphere is pleasantly relaxed and the stylish interior with eye-catching artwork rounds off the experience wonderfully. A great restaurant that I will definitely visit again. Absolute recommendation!

Full 5 stars for our evening at Weilands! The two of us got a place without a reservation, were given a very warm welcome and the food even exceeded our high expectations: we had the falafel for the starter (absolute recommendation!), the three types of mezze (all great, Muhammara extra class!), baba ganoush and the burrata for the main course. Everything is highly recommended, very fresh and tasty and prepared with love. The team is really warm and charming, and the location was also great. Only the music was a bit too loud at times. On your next trip to Berlin we will definitely go back to Weilands!

The entrances are a bit confusing and the price/performance ratio isn't quite right, but the food is really tasty and it's quick. Especially important for the lunch break.

Food looked great, but unfortunately gave me and .y son food poisoning. Not fun when you fly the next day. We suspect the humus. Otherwise service was good and building was okay. Toilet being in a different part of the building was strange.

We had a wonderful evening at Weilands. The restaurant has a very pleasant atmosphere: lots of space and yet enough peace and quiet to have a good conversation. Pleasant light, view of the water and friendly service - we would particularly like to highlight "our" Italian waiter, who was charmingly cheerful and humorous. The food was wonderful: we had appetizers, beef and chicken, and dessert. Everything tasted excellent and had a special mix of flavors. The drinks were great too; the lemonades are very, very tasty and the ginger tea is really fresh. Overall, fantastic value for money and an absolute recommendation from us!

Hello, In January 2025 I visited the Weilands on Potsdamer Platz and was very pleased... although I initially thought that the restaurant was closed because of a jammed entrance door and wanted to leave again, but fortunately I didn't because I would have missed a really excellent meal. I chose the char-grilled beef fillet with braised pointed cabbage, balsamic onions, baked potato and smoky eggplant sauce. The meat was served exactly medium-rare as requested, it was tender and tasted really good, but the pointed cabbage with "stuffing" topped everything. As soon as I go back to Berlin, I will visit the Weilands on Potsdamer Platz again. Christoph M. Jung

Our Christmas party took place there. Nice location, the dining area and the dance floor were spatially separated and the outdoor area, with a view of the small pond, also conjured up a nice ambience. Personally, I would have preferred a different menu for a Christmas party, but that's always a matter of taste and the organizer of our party ultimately agreed on it.

A little hidden, but worth the journey. Nice staff, prices completely ok and the food was super tasty and very good portions 👍 Would love to come back

On December 13th, 2024 we had a Christmas party with our company and I have to admit, after initial skepticism about the "Levantian cuisine", I was pleasantly surprised by the taste and presentation! The ambience of the location was also very pleasant and the dance floor was spatially separated by large curtains, so that there was at least a visual separation. Also great service, so all in all a successful event, for which we even rebooked the time because the hard core didn't end!

We held our Christmas party 2024 here. Really great tasty food, the service was friendly and quick, would be happy again. :-)

We had a great Christmas party. The location is in a great location in a huge atrium with a private atmosphere. The food is extremely balanced and interesting, for my taste there could be a little more meat on offer. Service was impeccable, friendly and attentive.

Very nice shop with lots of space. Great for large groups and still acoustically ok. The food is very good with a wonderful selection. You can tell that there are good chefs at work here. Unfortunately my chicken was far dry, so I really have to deduct a star and I don't understand the pile of parsley on the chicken either. But based on the other dishes you can see that the chicken is obviously an outlier.

This place has no idea what Arabic food is. Labne was made from supermarket yogurt, halloumi was far too dry, pita was not properly baked supermarket version. Simply not a good food. Ouzo was served like grappa, 50ml without ice.

The perfect place for a large family or Christmas dinner with colleagues. Due to the family menu, different starters and main courses are served at the same time, so you can try many dishes. Was there for lunch. Okay atmosphere. It is ordered at the checkout and picked up at the window next door, just like at fast food. If you order a starter and a main course, both come at the same time so that you don't burn your tongue with the main course. I had tomato soup (=warmed tomato puree) and Ali Nazik, which wasn't. The homemade lemonade was actually a concentrate that was diluted with sparkling water - without asking whether I wanted sparkling water or still water. Coffee was good. Price wise okay.

The dishes are very specialized due to the small selection 👍 Dishes can be spicy, which is unfortunately not apparent on the menu 🤷🏻 In the summer evenings with a view of the artificial pond, it is definitely very inviting and pleasant 👍

Great tasty food. A very stylish place with super friendly staff. I love the way we’ve been greeted at the door and throughout the whole dinner we felt very much looked after. I suggest this place to anyone.

At least at lunchtime: I find self-service like at a fast food restaurant uncomfortable. The food tasted quite good, but unfortunately it was lukewarm to cold.

When I worked there, I noticed that hygiene was not maintained. A waiter could pick up a fallen cherry and put it back in the glass without wiping it. Or you wipe the tables and your team leader tells you to take the plates of food to the customers. Sometimes you accidentally touch something and it doesn't matter at all. The team leader likes to argue with you in front of the customers. Customers came to me three times and said everything was good. The food is very tasty but the staff does not meet hygiene standards.

Chic modern restaurant. At lunchtime there is self-collection at the counter. In the evening there is service at the table. I was still kindly served. Ali Nazik kebab was good. The only drawback: if you want an espresso after your meal, you have to stand at the end of the queue (at lunchtime the surrounding offices come for lunch).

Insanely overpriced for what you get. Service also not the best. First got a starter, then 10 minutes later the water we ordered, then 20 minutes later the glasses of red wine. There’s so many better options in Berlin. Really worth going out of this area to get something higher quality at much better value. The food wasn’t bad, but 20 euros plus for a cauliflower is a bit insane.

The food was outstanding—we had the Jerusalem salad, the Chicken Musakhan, and the hummus platter with halloumi, and everything was fresh and delicious. The staff was friendly, and the setting by the artificial lake was really lovely.

A charming restaurant with exquisite Israeli cuisine. We decided on this restaurant after our visit to the Blue Man Group and were able to get a table. We were served very friendly and attentively by Rebecca throughout the evening - thank you again for the exceptionally good service. We ordered the mezze platter with three types of mezze and the spicy potatoes, Batata Harra. The main courses were Moroccan cigars, kofta and chicken musakhan. Everything was simply delicious in its own way. The portions were generous, we couldn't finish everything. All in all it was a really great and successful evening. We would love to come back.

Unfriendly service staff, careless preparation of lunch (salad thrown into the plate, plate held at an angle, with some food falling on the floor). Lukewarm soup, cherry tomatoes overripe (shriveled skin) and apples not prepared.

The food was okay. I think there are other restaurants that do Levantine cuisine better. The service was friendly, but we often had to wait for someone to come by. The meal took over 40 minutes, but we got a bottle of water on the house. The setting is really great. You sit by the pond/artificial lake at Potsdamer Platz.

Maybe 5-6 customers in total. So basically empty. The waiter saw us and completely ignored us. We waited for more than 15 minutes and finally just left and went to the Viet restaurant opposite. Small recommendation: choose your staff a little more carefully.

Conclusion: Have the bill brought to you first and check it before you pay. Otherwise: Great location with very nice outdoor seating, friendly and attentive service. The food still has room for improvement. In terms of taste and the larger offering, we would recommend the “Casalot” restaurant in the Recommend Claire-Waldoff-Straße (near Friedrichstadt Palast).

Wir haben zum ersten Mal erlebt, dass nach der Bitte um die Rechnung die Bedienung direkt mit dem Kartenlesegerät kam und uns die Summe nannte. Leider bin ich der Aufforderung nachgekommen und habe den geforderten Betrag freigegeben, was sich im Nachhinein als Fehler herausstellen sollte. Ich habe dann doch noch um eine Rechnung gebeten, diese aber erst zu Hause kontrolliert und eine Unstimmigkeit entdeckt. Meine Frau hatte als Getränk einen Gin Tonic bestellt. In der Getränkekarte werden als Longdrinks u.a. 2 Arten von Gin Tonics auf unterschiedlicher Basis angeboten. Natürlich such zu einem unterschiedlichen Preis. Auf der Rechnung war dann natürlich der höherpreisige ausgewiesen. Dazu kam dann noch der zusätzliche Posten " Als Longdrink ". International versteht man unter einem Longdrink aber ein Getränk, das den alkoholischen und den nichtalkoholischen Anteil beinhaltet, unabhängig, ob es bereits gemischt oder getrennt serviert wird. Daneben gibt es sogenannte Shots bzw. Schnäpse, auch solche werden in der Getränkekarte angeboten. Fazit: Lassen Sie sich zuerst die Rechnung bringen und kontrollieren Sie diese bevor Sie bezahlen. Ansonsten: Tolle Lage mit sehr schönen Außenplätzen, freundliche und aufmerksame Bedienung. Das Essen hat noch Luft nach oben. Geschmacklich und von dem größeren Angebot her würden wir das Restaurant "Casalot" in der Claire-Waldoff-Straße (Nähe Friedrichstadt Palast) empfehlen.

Very tasty food options with friendly staff. The menu had good variety for everyone and presentation was excellent. It was on the slightly expensive side but definitely worth it.

We were here at 4:30 p.m. and it was still completely empty. The kitchen doesn't open until 5 p.m. and then it got more crowded. Small menu, salad and halumi very good. It's very comfortable to sit in and there are also seats outside. I really liked meeting up with friends after work.

Beim zweiten Besuch waren wir genauso enttäuscht wie beim ersten Mal. Wir kamen nur wegen eines plötzlichen Regenschauers herein und weil es in der Nähe der Galerie nichts anderes gab. Es ist Selbstbedienung, dafür recht teuer. Minimale Auswahl, keine Bargeldzahlung möglich. Die Suppe schmeckte so, dass ich nach zwei Löffeln nicht mehr wollte. Salat fade. Muss selbst bei Sturm nicht mehr da rein.
