Weil in Berlin

The food is tasty, but the selection is quite limited and there are very few vegetarian options. Service was friendly, but one person for the whole restaurant wasn't enough. If you want to have a drink and something to eat along with the drinks it is a good place, but I personally wouldn't go there for the food alone.

Disrespectful and impertinent treatment of guests.

After initial difficulties with the beef fillet, the overwhelmed service staff was so lovely! Unfortunately she was all alone! We were there 7 more times after that. The beef fillet was always on point. The side dishes, especially the hand-cut potato chips made from fresh potatoes, were very tasty. Highly recommended! That's why we always enjoyed eating there. A special compliment to the waitresses!

The staff made fun of my special order "Difficult customer😡". The schnitzel was still good, nothing to complain about the chef. But the rest of it just doesn't work.

Nice restaurant in Alt-Tegel. We were here later in the evening for 2 beers in the outdoor area. The waitress was very friendly and attentive. I will most likely come back here again. Clear recommendation.

We spontaneously went for brunch and felt very comfortable as guests. The large breakfast for 2 is very varied and delicious. The blonde waiter has an attentive but not intrusive look. We'd love to come back

I can only agree with the previous speakers... I really don't like posting bad reviews, but in this case it's absolutely necessary. I manage a bar myself and have been working in the catering industry for a long time. So I can very well understand that you sometimes have a bad day and may not always be in the best mood to entertain your guests. However, what I experienced today was a complete impudence and I was shocked by the waiter's behavior, which I have never experienced before in Café Weil. Due to a shift change, part of our order was forgotten, so we had to wait an hour (!) for a baked Camembert and a glass of wine. When we asked, we only got a mushy answer and that it would be taken care of. As if we were wrong about the demand. Waving, annoyed comments and of course the justification that it was the colleague's fault because she had forgotten the order. NO apology, NO compensation in any form AND just snotty and rude comments. By the way, the Camembert was lukewarm and didn't taste good - we ate it anyway because we had been waiting hungry for an hour. As long as the staff there is not properly trained in dealing with the guests, I strongly advise anyone not to visit this establishment!

I was there for the Tegel harbor festival. The location is actually great, but I didn't find it comfortable, especially since it was just too crowded. In addition, the employee in the beer truck was unfortunately very unfriendly and sometimes overwhelmed. If you want to scare away customers, you should hire this man, he's perfect for it. I think some people should choose another career if they are not prepared to show the necessary kindness in a job where they have to deal with people/guests all day...

Watch out, trap!! If you order the additional scrambled eggs offered on the chanterelle menu, confirm the price beforehand. You'll be surprised, 1 + 1 doesn't equal 2 here.

Last Saturday, five of us visited this restaurant with my husband and my child. It was a sunny day and we were familiar with the restaurant from previous family visits, so we were pretty confident about going to this place. Because it was so sunny, we wanted to sit down and the waiters seemed annoyed. So while the waiter initially ignored us, the bartender then had to take our order. When our drinks arrived, I discovered through a sample that my husband, my child (!) and I were given a Mojito (with alcohol) instead of a Mosquito (non-alcoholic), so we had the drinks exchanged - another annoyed look from him waiters. We had to wait forever for our food order to be taken — we had to remind the waiter ourselves — and when I wanted to order dessert, he simply said that I shouldn't order the dessert and that I should only eat the dessert after the main course . Even though I also said that I didn't want the feeling of fullness to come, he continued to say the same thing. When the food arrived after a long time, my child was once again given the wrong dish; Instead of a Wiener schnitzel with fries, he got a veal schnitzel with fried potatoes, but he ate it anyway. When our bill finally arrived after a much longer time, we could hardly believe our eyes because the wrong drinks (mojitos) and dishes (veal schnitzel with fried potatoes) were not corrected. Because these are a lot more expensive, we had to pay €15 more. Of course there was no tip because they had basically already given themselves that. Without the waiters saying goodbye, we left the restaurant in shock. I myself come from the catering industry and know what I'm talking about when I say that I haven't experienced such bad service in a long time. I'm really disappointed to have to write this review because we've always been here and only had good experiences, but that has now changed.

Hello, I was in the Weil restaurant with my friend on June 19, 2024 and wanted to eat delicious food and watch football without having made a reservation beforehand. There were no reservation signs on the tables. The order was taken, about 20 minutes later we were asked if we had reserved... we were sent out because there were seats there that were not reserved. The waitress wanted to show us to the table! Which then took another 20 minutes. There were no chairs at the table! We should get the chairs from the restaurant ourselves, which is cheeky... Well said and done... then our drink finally arrived. About 10 minutes later another waitress came and said we should clear the table because it was also reserved... So in my opinion it couldn't be any more unfriendly!!! Staff understaffed and couldn't cope. 0 service We won't be coming back!!!

Schlechter unhöflicher Service. Als Cappuccino kam ein deutscher Kaffee mit Sahne. Auf Nachfrage wurde uns mitgeteilt : es gibt keine Maschine zum Milch aufschäumen. Ungemütlich und überteuert. Keine Empfehlung!

Cozy in the pedestrian zone, down-to-earth food, friendly service. An institution in Tegel.

The Weil is a great pub with a large selection of cocktails and a very good menu. There is something for everyone, if you don't just want to eat Asian or Indian food, you can find something delicious at Weil Everybody. The staff is top notch, always friendly and also give good recommendations of the house. Sometimes you can also watch football and there is always a cozy corner outside for smokers.

Hab das Restaurant anders in Erinnerung. Iwie ne neue Bewirtschaftung. Das geschminkte Kellnerpüppchen hatte ab 2 Bestellungen auf einmal Probleme sich alles zu merken. Sätze wie "Ich bin Kellnerin und keine Sklavin" anderen Gästen gegenüber, haben mich über einen erneuten Besuch nachdenken lassen. Fazit : Essen war grad so ok, die Bedienung hat ausser nen tiefen Ausschnitt nichts zu bieten, muss dort nicht mehr hin, Schade

Cozy restaurant/pub, some chairs "pressed" us on the back. The food is very nicely prepared, the portions are rather "moderate" (we old men would have liked a larger portion), but everything tasted very good.

I went there this evening (Wednesday) based on a recommendation. A bit inconspicuous from the outside, but in my eyes and those of my companions, it was really worth it. I can only recommend the schnitzel with fries. Really tasty and great quality. The staff were also very polite and didn't seem overly stressed, even though the restaurant was busy. I would definitely come back and recommend it to others.

We went there spontaneously after a walk on the promenade. Even though it was Sunday, we still got a spot. I find the store very cozy. The age difference between the visitors is higher, but that didn't bother us. The service was nice and attentive. The food was delicious and the price was ok. After all, it is a popular excursion destination. Recommended

04/2024: Wow! We ate very well, the two new waitresses were super friendly and competent. This could be something! The food was very tasty, the meat was on point. The portion size of the liver was well chosen, a big plus for the amount of mashed potatoes. Price-performance is right. We don't need portions that make us fall over afterwards. We'd love to come back! 04/2023: Went there again today after the change of ownership before Corona. Food and drinks were delicious and arrived quickly, the menu was still the same - that's nice. Waiters also nice and on the ball.

Ich war hier mit meiner Freundin in der Adventszeit zum Essen. Ohne Reservierung hat man für uns noch einen Tisch gefunden. Die weihnachtliche Atmosphäre und der zuvorkommende Service hat uns richtig gut gefallen.👏Auch die "Hausmannskost" war sehr lecker. 🥲 Klare Empfehlung- Wir kommen wieder👍

Sehr gute Berliner/ Deutsche Küche. In einem rustikal-scharmanten Ambiente gibt es ein breites Frühstücksangebot, klassische Hauptgerichte von Königsberger Klopsen über gebratene Leber bis zum echten Wiener Kalbsschnitzel und ein saisonale Speisen, wie Ganz zu Weihnachten. Für jeden sollte etwas dabei sein. Das Personal ist freundlich und zuvorkommend.

Eine sehr gemütliche Gaststätte bzw. Kneipe. Ein schönes Ambiente. Wir haben nur etwas getrunken, aber uns entschieden mal zum Essen wieder einzukehren!! Die Speisen an den Nachbartischen sahen sehr appetitlich aus!!

Wir essen nicht oft dort. Aber nicht, dass es uns nicht schmeckt sondern weil wir hier wohnen und gerne zum Weinchen kommen

Ich wurde zügig und freundlich bedient. Das war aber auch schon das Positive. Ich sass draußen, die Tische stehen sehr eng, am Nebentisch standen direkt neben mir länger Leute, die sich lautstark mit den dort Sitzenden unterhielten, bis ich was sagte. Der gebackene Camenbert war o.k., die Preiselbeersahne nicht mein Fall, die gebackene Petersilie nur ein paar Streusel, auf Wunsch bekam ich dann etwas mehr. Für fast 14 € fand ich diese Vorspeise zu teuer.

Mit Freunden sind wir an einem sehr stürmischen Tag am nahe gelegenen Tegeler See gewandert und anschliessend im WEIL eingekehrt:Unter einem großen Schirm fanden wir Platz und Schutz vor dem immer wiederkehrenden Regen. Das Essen und die Getränke schmeckten sehr gut und der Service war äußerst aufmerksam.Bei stark werdendem Schauer fanden wir noch einen Tisch in der gemütlichen Gaststube. Unser Fazit:Immer wieder gern!

Hier in der Fussgängerzone von Tegel ein sehr gemütliches Restaurant mit tollem Essen und Getränke. Das Personal sehr nett und schnell beim Bedienen, und das bei diesen Temperaturen.
