Great location, especially outside by the river. Large beer selection, good and friendly service despite the busyness. Five stars up until this point, but then I was served what was probably the worst currywurst of my life, which knocks me off two stars. The food is a tourist trap.

A very nice restaurant, obviously geared toward tourists, but with very good and, above all, plentiful food, friendly service, and a lovely outdoor area by the Spree. There's also a good selection of vegetarian options, as well as snacks if you're not overly hungry. We were lucky and got a seat right by the Spree.

Worst food ever, discrimination against Asians (waitress), unfriendly service, totally bad food. Made me want to throw up, it's true! So disgusting. This is the worst restaurant I've eaten in Berlin, I sincerely hope you close down!

Trying a selection of German sausages was a highlight! Each variety was incredibly flavorful, and it was a perfect way to experience local cuisine, especially paired with the traditional mustards and bacon sauerkraut. Currywurst was worse though, i think thats how they were made in german style. Sausage with sour tomato sauce and sprinkle of curry powder.

A truly well-designed restaurant, which makes it very pleasant. I personally absolutely loved the decor. It's something special. I also found the beer market quite interesting, albeit a bit lacking in transparency. The food was good and the portions were adequate. Unfortunately, I also felt the service was a bit haphazard. However, this was balanced out by friendliness and flexibility. But it's definitely a place to stop by. The outdoor seating area is also certainly great.

We bought extra sauce with onions for 1 euro for the potatoes but it was extremely small and I couldn't even taste the sauce. I preferred a dark beer for the first time and it was nice. The other drinks were also nice. We sat on the open air terrace, the atmosphere was energetic and the weather was nice. The location is nice.

No, unfortunately, I don't recommend it, as is often the case with tourist restaurants. The service stops the moment the food and drinks arrive on the table. The food was mediocre; the potatoes and mashed potatoes from a packet had zero flavor. The food came so quickly, it wasn't really any culinary art, which is a shame. Unfortunately, we've labeled it a tourist trap.

Looking for a brewery, we found this place. The atmosphere is pleasant, even family-friendly. We tried the curryburst, which was very good, and several beers. Recommended.

We were guests at the DFB Cup final. First-class Wiener Schnitzel and excellent service. We swept Bielefeld off the pitch 4-2. The 80% of Bielefeld fans weren't very amused. Overall, a great stay.

We wanted to have a few beers after the cup final. The beer was delicious, and the conditions were very reasonable. When we loudly sang the Arminia anthem despite the loss, the boss put his arm on our shoulders and immediately threatened to throw us out. This was very counterproductive for the great atmosphere we had created in the bar.

Drinks took over 45 minutes. The boss interrupted us while we were celebrating and said we were being kicked out.

I've been in Berlin before and I do have a favourite place to eat. But it's important to try new places and things so I did just that. Berliner Republik is one of many eating establishments along the road. Why I chose here, no idea, am I glad I did, you bet yea!! (skip ahead vegans) I've probably had better weiner schnitzel before but for the life of me I can't remember when. And with the thick wedge of lemon, lingonberries and the fried potatoes it was supurb. All washed down with a stein of Paulner Premier Pilsner a better meal couldn't have been had tonight. Finishing off with the Apple strudel and a happy man goes off to bed to dream of electric sheep.

The guy at the front was curt and hostile. There are better places with better beer !

The beer tasting is a good way to try more than one type of beer in smaller portions. The food was good; I tried the currywurst, and we ordered the vegan meatloaf and an Italian pizza, all reasonably good. The big problem was that we waited over an hour for our food; apparently, the waiter never took our order. They pressure you for the tip, even though I wouldn't have left it if I had waited so long.

Highly recommended, a busy restaurant. I drank a very tasty beer and ate probably the best pork knuckle ever. The other dishes also looked good. Also, the service was quick and friendly, even though they're really busy. Inside, beer prices are trading like the stock market after 5 p.m., which is funny. If I'm back in Berlin, I definitely want to go back to the Berlin Republic.

The beer and food were decent, but we waited for half an hour or more for our order to be delivered. Maybe such slow service is not their rule, but our experience was really spoiled.

Good food and location. BUT!: The Mojito and Cuba Libre had a maximum of 1/2 cl of rum! Definitely a tourist trap. Drink your beer, long drinks, etc. where you can get honest drinks!

We went on a very busy Friday night so the service was slower as it was insanely busy. The staff did the best they could and we still got our food quickly. The food was very good.

Unfortunately very disappointed with the food. The portions are very small, the schnitzel was ordered and came within 5 minutes, so it wasn't a fresh schnitzel, but rather a deep fryer. It's a shame, I expected more for €20. The currant juice spritzer was totally adulterated, I don't know what kind of juice it was, but it wasn't currant. I had the glass returned for over €5 and received the same strange spritzer as before. After the second attempt, which didn't work, I ordered a Pepsi - what a shame! Apparently the people in the Berlin Republic don't know what a blackcurrant juice spritzer is. All in all we were disappointed with our visit. For the money, we would rather eat somewhere else and get much higher quality dishes and nice service! The ambience and music was the only good thing about the restaurant.

Nice pub, typical food, generous portions. On the negative side, there was the grumpy waitress and the long wait for dinner, even though it was late and there were few people in the restaurant. They didn't come to ask us if we wanted dessert and they didn't tell us that the kitchen was closing, so we weren't able to get the dessert we wanted to try.

The restaurant was recommended to us at the hotel. Good home cooking and a beautiful location on the Spree. However, there was no longer a table on the Spree. So we went to the restaurant and got a table on Easter Sunday without making a reservation. It wasn't that crowded in the restaurant. The service was OK. It went quickly that we received the menu and the drinks. Well, unfortunately there was some carbon dioxide missing in the Sprite. The food was very tasty. I had liver Berlin style. It was very good. The meat was very tender, not overcooked. My husband had the roulade with red cabbage. I was also very pleased, you could cut through it with a knife and the meat was fried very well to perfection. The big TV didn't put us off. Both are football fans. I found the decoration on the walls very interesting. We will come back on our next trip to Berlin.

Not as good as the reviews I read. Food was reasonably good. Schnitzel was dry and lacking flavor. However, the bathrooms were disgusting (both men and womens)- smelled of urine, unclean, etc. So unlike the Germany I visited ten years ago.

We waited over 50 minutes for food after the table next to us got their food, even though food was ordered after us. Unfortunately, the food arrived at our table cold. Despite the additional cost, the veal schnitzel was unfortunately not nearly as good as the pork schnitzel. The Paulaner steak also consisted only of fat, which is why it was hardly edible. After the meal, the plates were not cleared for over half an hour and there was no opportunity to order the bill. Unfortunately a failure!

Increíble... Excelente. Magnífico local con terraza al.rio Spree. Profesionales magníficos y raciones enormes y de calidad. Estuvimos en Berlín una semana y fuimos 3 veces. Un día pedimos una opción que trae 7 salchichas y cuesta menos de 40 euros. Aún encima, aplican un descuento del 25 % si eres portador de la Berlín Welcome Card. También se puede ver el fútbol. Magnífico ambiente. No perderse el mensaje en la puerta del cuarto de baño antes de salir de nuevo hacia el restaurante....... "You are leaving the sector American"....... jajajaja.....! genial!

Imagine a place where you and your friends can relax, chat, and unwind after a long day, all while enjoying a unique concept: the beer prices change like the stock market, and you only pay the price at the time you order. Yes, in Berlin, there’s such a spot, and it’s called Berliner Republik. I was chatting with my friends while watching the game, and the concept was truly fascinating. I tried a Hacker Pschorr beer, which was light and smooth. It might have felt lighter to me because I usually prefer stronger drinks, but it was still delicious with a nice flavor and yeast profile. It definitely didn’t taste like the watery beers I've had at some places. If you're going there for a tasting session, they also offer a set of 5-6 different beers served in small glasses, which is a great way to try different flavors. I highly recommend trying that. Taking a break between tastings helps reset your palate, and it’ll be easier to distinguish the flavors. It's definitely one of those unique places worth visiting, though the prices can be a bit on the higher side.

Recommended place to eat Berlin food. We tried the sausage mix so we could eat various specialties and it was a success. Very good option if you are two people.

Beer Exchange, beer prices are constantly updated and based on what guests order. Now I think something like that is nonsense. I would like to know in advance what I should pay. Staff was nice and tried hard. Potato soup wasn't my personal taste and was lukewarm. But it was corrected. Beef roulade was ok. Salad was ok too. But all in all, I can't say that the food blew us away. If you have the Welcome Card, please show it. There is a 25% discount on a main course.

Nice but not as good as advertised

The original Berliner Currywurst is far from a good currywurst. Better not to order here. You can get this 100% better at any currywurst stall. The other dishes like Königsberger are good - but not great. Typical tourist pub, you shouldn't expect too much from the quality here - but the food is too expensive!!

Excellent place to enjoy German food. The service was very good, Sultan attended us both days we were there, the service was very friendly and cordial. I highly recommend it, even on weekends it is advisable to make a reservation.

The service is great, we were served again even after the last round. Unfortunately, prices vary, which can sometimes cost you more than expected.

Unfortunately, the schnitzel really didn't taste very good. It was edible, but it didn't taste like a good Wiener schnitzel at all—I had to leave at some point. Unfortunately, some of the staff weren't particularly friendly either.

Berliner Republic has an amazing atmosphere and beer variety. Especially “beer stock market” concept is really entertaining after 17:00. Don’t forget to track “crash” time to have cheapest price. Stuff is really friendly. You won’t regret to spend one night here near the Spree river.

I loved everything about Berliner Republic, the food is great, the service is fast, the staff were really helpful and the Bar looks amazing decorated with interesting pictures everywhere.. More than that the atmosphere is stop-on, if you want to feel like you are in Berlin then this is the place you should go. ( Also the menu is in German and English so thank you 👍)..

Food was nothing special. Unfortunately no small portions for seniors, it's a shame about the food that went back. I didn't want to take it with me because I don't live around the corner. Maybe think about offering at least two dishes as senior portions. Definitely works with the liver, 3 pieces is definitely too much for many older people. Still desirable something clean toilets, even if I know there are many that cannot behave. It is often said that the toilet is the flagship!!! Large selection of beer and in summer a place to sit outside with a view of the Spree. I will definitely test it again.

Very nice place located close to the river. Place is a sprts bar heaving tables and dar seats as well. Veey big place, around 150 people, so more than a little noosy. Traditional barbarian kitchen. Tried 3 sausages with cabbage and potatoes. Besides the potatoes that were cooked in water and had no taste, the sausages were great, and so was the cabbage Potato salad plate, regular, no more. Purple cabbage was interesting being cooked in red wine and sugar. Too much sugar. Prefared apple strudel over sweet rise and happy i did so. The cake is served warm over vanilla sauce with vanilla ice cream and cream. Sweetness was in the right amount, so it was great. Service was not so friendly and without patience, could improve.
