After a Berlin "marathon", we ended the day with a drink outside. Very nice service and everything else was perfect.

Great service, not so good food. Spatzle were nothing like in other places

The worst food!, plus completely careless preparation!! Potato salad was a disaster, the sausage salad drowned in a brown, indefinable sauce. We weren't thirsty, top service!

I have never seen such a catastrophic reception. There are 7 of us, a waitress tells us to sit on an empty table of 4 which is next to a table of 2. We sit down and bring together the chairs at the two tables. Another waiter stands in our way, asks us to put everything back in order in a most unpleasant tone and pushes us to force his way. I ask him to keep calm because I am in the process of putting everything back together. He gets angry with me and tells me I just had to ask before moving the chairs. I explain to him that I followed the instructions of another waitress but nothing happened. The tone rises because the waiter gets fired up on his own and continues to push us rather than let us remove the chairs. And he ends up kicking us out... I've never seen that..

Nice surprise find walking in the area. Good beer for a rest, cosy atmosphere tucked in between railroad and buildings. Would revisit if in area...

As a Bavarian, a little oasis in Berlin. The service is absolutely top....great attention....nice...friendly...what more could you want! And the food tastes great! So...off to Bavaria in Berlin!!

A real tourist cafe with the right "German" atmosphere and German dishes. The food is not bad, but quite unimaginative and apparently ordering a small beer is not possible. That's why I think it's quite pricey for what you get.

The only downside is obviously the price. Service, atmosphere and food are authentic enough, especially if you are in the hall downstairs. Beers are a great example of good taste and quality of traditional, but still mass production product. One of my favorite affordable brands outside Germany.

Can’t say anything about the food because they refused to serve us (family of 4- 2 adults, 2 older children). We waited politely for 20 minutes, made contact, and they shook their heads no, although the table was open and there were plenty of waiters. Hmmm.

Had lunch in the autumn sun on Hackescher Markt. Pork knuckle, sausage, cheese spaetzle. Delicious. Recommended.

Genuine food and beers near the S-bahn! Many distinctly German dishes and fresh beers to choose from. The grilled portion of the menu is solid. Service is a bit distant and untimely even when not super busy. However, the service staff's traditional outfits are cool. Outside seating is plentiful, but you may be greeted by furry "friends" by your feet.

A nice place to sit outside and enjoy a beer. The Original Premium Lager and the Kellerbier are excellent.

Unfortunately, we end quite early on a Saturday. Not for people who want to sit, drink and chat until the early morning. It's nice but it's only good if you want/have to go home around midnight. The service was great! The boys are on their toes and quick to deliver the drinks.

Get the pork knuckle for 23 Euro. Its huge and so good. The sausage and fries were a let down.

The food is very good and especially large portions. Here you will be 100% full! The staff can't be bothered, even when the restaurant is full. Here you will be served very nicely and politely and your wishes will be taken into account. We'd love to come back!

A super attentive waitress with a real Berlin snout... very personable and pleasant. The food itself is ok...the cheese spaetzle is great, the mountain farmer's schnitzel is unfortunately a bit dry - but still good. Very wide beer selection and a nice atmosphere.

I ate cheese spaetzle with ham and it worked like this. I (wife) got full, but the portion was generally quite small. But the service was great👍

Food looked very tasty. Unfortunately, the meat was totally tough and way too dry. More sour cream would have been beneficial with the baked potato, as it was too dry without a side dish. We had the food 3 times and all were the same. Too bad. Otherwise the staff was top notch. Our waitress was very friendly and, above all, attentive, so that you weren't left high and dry. We sat in the courtyard, away from the hustle and bustle, which was very pleasant.

We really enjoyed our beer/snacks here! The Keiler beer is very good. We had currywurst and also the potato bacon soup. So good we came back the next day for round 2!

We arrived shortly before closing time and were still given a very friendly welcome. We just wanted to have a drink and it wasn't a problem at all. Our service was really friendly 👍

The best thing about our visit was the friendly service and the live music from the two street musicians. The food was really nothing. Sauce in a bag, schnitzel from the deep fryer, potato salad tasted like it came out of a bucket, mushrooms were packed in a tough mass, sauce is something else. And I would say the mushrooms were either frozen or jarred. I don't know how you could get fresh mushrooms like that. In a word, tourist rip-off

I happened to visit Haksen Restaurant, which was featured on Seong Si-kyung's YouTube channel, during the day. I was already hungry from lunch, so I stopped by to just drink some beer. The beer was so delicious and the food was friendly, so I drank 1.5 liters and my wife added some assorted sausages. I was very grateful that the staff in the photo was very friendly and even gave me a souvenir. take care of yourself!

Oldest beer in the world and of impeccable quality! The cuisine varies depending on each taste, but it is very regional.

Good beer, but the food could be better.

Beer good, sausage salad not really (whole sausage slices) with a mustard dressing, which tastes more French than Bavarian and the normal small salad with lots of decayed lettuce leaves, the bread served with it was dry and relatively loud in the outside area.

The taste of the cheese dumplings leaves a lot to be desired and the fries could have been longer. But beer was delicious.

Bavarian beer. One of our best lunches here in Germany. Starter bretzel. Delicious pork knuckle. Dessert (Apple strudel) great. Excellent beer: wheat and dark (dunkel). Price compatible with quality. Highly recommended.

Service was super nice, the food really awful though. We were a group of people and everyone had something different, and no one liked it. Prices are unacceptable for the quality you get. For couple beers only this place might work. It’s loud and super crowded.

World's oldest brewery beer on tap. Location is rather popular. Waitstaff helpful but extremely busy. Would recommend the curry wurst and a large Original.

Very high prices for rather mediocre food. Most of it seemed more out of the box, ready-made, etc. More touristy. It was ok, but you don't have to have it again, it's better, sorry.

Great location right in the center of Berlin at the Hackesche Höfe. Great cellar vaults and endless space. The foreign waiters try very hard, but sometimes have language barriers. Good food, lots of meat!!

Our waitress was very kind to us. The food was very good, but the best was Weihenstephaner Vitus, the best wheat beer ever, on tap even better.

The food was edible, but nothing special. However, the waitress apparently had a bad day, which was reflected in unfriendly and annoyed service. Requests were not addressed and the separate ones Payment for a larger group is only possible after a lengthy discussion.

It looks typical, but the food is really bad globally, we tasted 6 different dishes, and we were unanimous. There is too much sugar in all sauces. Very bad potatoes. Cheese almost everywhere. It was quite cheap but frankly bad.

I know Berliner Weiss is more appropriate, but you can't beat the excellent Bavarian made beers at Weihenstephaner. The food was pretty good as well, but it was the beer that drew us in.

Great place for couple of drinks.

In the middle of a busy market but with lots of outdoor seating. The menu was big and had lots of options including loads of beers. We had the currywurst (which was okay, have had better and it was slightly cold) and the pretzel and potato dumpling. All were nice but the service could really use some improvement. It felt like we an inconvenience and the service was very inattentive.

First place I see in Germany where the waitress asked for tips at the end. We are not in the US, you do have a wage. So much exploitation. That's why a tip is a tip, you give if you want, you shouldn't ask for it!!

Service was really friendly, but foodwise it's a bit of a tourist trap. My schnitzel had 50% more breading then actual meat. The taste wasn't bad though. Their terrace was nice as well.

Really diverse beer selection, served quickly by a lady in a dirndl. The food also completely met our expectations and was overall a pleasant stay in this touristy environment.

After the steamer trip Went to eat there. It was very delicious. I can highly recommend it. The asparagus was very good.

Great food, tasty and large portions, but that's the end of it, arrogant and inattentive service, especially the two gentlemen who had a shift on Sunday 12.5. One who swigs beer and others of probably Turkish origin who distribute food, a complete disaster, both behavior and ignorance, and thanks to them I will definitely not come back here. The Weihenstephaner at Hackescher Markt was a surprise in a positive sense. So far I've only ever been to the Weihenstephaner in Lichtenrade, one of the best inns in Berlin. I always avoided the Weihenstephaner on Hackescher Markt because of its location. The location suggested to me that only tourists would go there but not “real” Berliners. Nevertheless, I wanted to visit it once and see how good or not good the restaurant is. First positive surprise: Inside on the ground floor it looks rustic, yet bright. Down in the cellar vault it looks even more rustic and dim, like an old castle cellar. So the interior design was initially convincing. Second positive surprise, there are a lot of different beers, there is something for everyone. From light to malty to stronger varieties, everyone will find what they are looking for. Third surprise, the food. We ordered different dishes and all of them were very tasty, not too salty (which is often the case in breweries) and the portions were generous too. I was particularly surprised by the Hax’n. Juicy inside and the skin is super crispy. Even though a lot of tourists come here because of the location, the Weihenstephaner serves very tasty Bavarian dishes and the service was also very friendly. We will definitely come back here, not just with tourists.

Stopped in for a couple of beers during a sunny afternoon. It was fairly quiet being 2pm on a Sunday but several other tables were taken. Service was good, beer was spectacular. No complaints, even the toilets were good. If you’re in the neighbourhood and thirsty, I recommend it

It was a bad experience. I had Turkish guests with me and the waitress imitated us speaking Turkish. Laughing but artificially. I felt racism. As for the food, unfortunately the potatoes were served burnt. The beers are nice, but unfortunately they should be more selective about the staff.

The rustic brewery feeling doesn't really set in here and the background music is certainly not for everyone, but a lot of effort has been put into creating a suitable ambience - including a vaulted cellar. Also: beer, food and service are good. Therefore: go there!

Delicious schnitzel with white asparagus! Luxury to be able to sit outside and eat an evening in April, but this Saturday it was hot in Berlin. Quickly ordered food and drink, the food arrived on the table, but after that it was not possible to get in touch with the staff. Had to go in to pay myself! It was not very busy at the restaurant.

Total tourist trap, what a rip off - €22 for 2 beers and a bottle of water, the water alone was €8.40!!!!!! Tip added without asking plus they charge for tap water!

There's a lot of racism in Asia. We stay up all night and don't take orders There is severe racism against Asians. We intentionally do not take orders from Asians during busy times.
