Nice restaurant with a rustic atmosphere and delicious food! We were here for dinner and felt right at home in the quaint little house. The restaurant is a family business and everyone helps out, from the service to the kitchen, which we liked. The food came quickly, was rich and tasty. Both the fish and the lamb were freshly prepared and simply great! We would love to come back and can only recommend a visit. A note: Please note that only CASH can be paid in the restaurant!

We had lunch in the very cozy restaurant in December '24. We were very satisfied with the friendliness and service. There were home-made fries that were very tasty and the fish was fried on the skin side until it was crispy. The restaurant offers various rooms for dining. Everything is very comfortably furnished. We can really recommend this restaurant! Parking lot at the entrance to the town.

Enjoyed a wonderful evening with my wife on New Year's Eve 2024. Although we had only inquired two days before and were supposed to inquire again on New Year's Eve, we received a beautiful table in one of the rustically furnished rooms. The familiar and friendly tone between the siblings of the operating family and the guests is very pleasant. Our food was excellent, as were the drinks. The fish, the lamb, we were very impressed. Nice conversations with the neighboring table provided information about life in SPO and one or two insider tips. We were completely satisfied and will come back! P.S. The family runs another catering business just a few meters away. We were guests here too and were pleased with the open manner in which we were treated.

We were at Wanlik-Hues yesterday afternoon, were greeted very friendly, were allowed to choose something from the lunch menu and were very happy with everything.♡ We had the farmer's breakfast and pollock with fries. The fries were extremely tasty, the side salad was very tasty. The toilets are upstairs in the beautiful old house, nice and very clean. The old house is really nice and homely furnished. There are 4 cozy guest rooms

The hospitality and charm of the old farmhouse are already worth a visit. However, the very good Lamhaxe has been drawing us to this beautiful and historic place for many years. The beef fillet carpaccio is also a clear recommendation. We'd love to come back.

Ordered a fish dish for the first time today. In my opinion, the salmon was no longer completely fresh. But the fault lies with me, I didn't complain about it immediately and thus took away the opportunity for service to make improvements. We always go here once during our stay because it's really great. Great ambience, nice service and the meat dishes were always great. Please ask Wanlik-Hues to pay attention to the freshness of fish dishes, even if it is not the peak season.

It's a shame, we've always eaten well here. Today, like my wife, I had the noble fish platter with salmon and wolffish. Everything was delicious except the salmon, which had already been over for a day. After visiting the restaurant, my wife told me that the salmon was no longer OK. What annoys me the most now and probably the restaurant too is that we didn't say anything. (But I thought maybe I just had a knot in my tongue. Sorry about that) But this shouldn't happen even if there are few guests and if the fish turnover isn't that high.

My love and I stumbled across this incredibly nice and cozy restaurant today by chance. This absolutely suited our taste, both visually and culinary-wise. It is the oldest house in SPO and that is how it is decorated. We felt like we were at home. We cannot understand negative reviews about the food in any way. No cuisine in the world can satisfy all tastes of all humanity. Just because a food tastes a little different than usual doesn't mean it's bad. We would like to thank you for the friendly and courteous hospitality. We'd love to come back!

Delicious food and a nice atmosphere

We were here with a larger group and had a great evening in our own rustic private room. From the outside, the Wanlik-Hues from 1656 looks like a house from a fantasy film. The furnishings are wildly thrown together, but it certainly has a certain charm. The waitress was nice and kept checking to see if we needed something to drink. The beer was at the right temperature and poured well. Unfortunately, the food didn't really convince me. I had the saddle of lamb, which was a bit bland. The frozen rösti and the plum sauce didn't really taste good either. The very hot chili tasted good, but rather irritated me with the dish. The mushrooms were dry and rock hard. What was really on point was the broccoli. I would go here again because of the rustic atmosphere and the nice overall experience.

Wanlik-Hues gets two stars from me. One for the historic house, which is worth seeing, and one for the cozy interior. But the house and ambience cannot save the catastrophic impression we got when we reserved our table. In the absolute off season - when there was NOTHING going on - we spontaneously wanted to reserve a table in person. The employee in charge made a face as if the question alone was an imposition. In response, we were given a business card from the house with the words: "Call." It was only with difficulty that the man agreed to reserve the table straight away, now that we were standing there. When we were happy to eat on that day, we realized that the service was more reminiscent of a quick-service restaurant than of a high-quality restaurant. The food was good but not exceptional. All in all, I have to say that we got the impression that there was no need for it in Wanlik-Hues...if one dissatisfied customer stays away, the next one will definitely come due to the good location. However, we definitely won't be coming back.

The oldest house in the village with beautiful furniture and an original ambience offers the real Frisian cake and a delicious toddler group with a light, pleasant spiciness. Plus a tasty, buttery minced lamb mince. A must in Saint Peter. Unfortunately only cash payment is accepted.

Schönes friesisches Haus. Man könnte sich wohlfühlen. Doch wir wurden in eine Ecke platziert. Es war kalt - die Heizung war wohl um 20:30 Uhr schon reduziert. Bei der Bestellung Wasser - und die Bestellung des Essens und einer Fanta wurde diese bis zur Mahnung vergessen. Es war grade nicht viel zu tun. Die Patronin saß am Tisch und guckte laute TikTok oder YouTube Filme. Wir haben uns dann - auch weil wir dort keine neuen Getränke erhielten und zu dritt noch an einer leeren Flasche Wasser saßen in den Nebenraum gesetzt. Dann kam nach Reklamation endlich die Fanta und zwei gut gezapfte Flensburger. Und das Essen alsbald auch. Pommes mit Majonäse gut. Labskaus gut. Scholle mäßig - Beilage Kartoffeln nicht gar und nicht mal lauwarm. Das drum herum blieb weiter unterirdisch. So wurde das Licht in den Nachbarräumen gelöscht. Die Kerzen im Entree ausgepustet und wir wurden nicht noch nach einem Wunsch gefragt , sondern es wurde uns unaufgefordert die Rechnung auf den Tisch gelegt , mit dem Hinweis, dass man jetzt schließe . Uns wird man dort nicht mehr sehen. Das Dessert und ein weiteres Bier haben wir dann im benachbarten Hansen - freundlich und in guter Atmosphäre bekommen.

Wir kehrten mit einer Gruppe von sieben Personen im Wanlik Huus ein. Alle haben unterschiedliche Gerichte von Lamm über Fisch und Vegetarisch gegessen. Die Speisen kamen zeitlich abgestimmt und waren durchweg hervorragend! Der Kellner war sehr zuvorkommend und ging auf unsere Sonderwünsche unkompliziert ein. Das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis ist sehr gut. Wir waren bereits mehrmals dort essen und waren stets sehr zufrieden. In unserem jetzigen Urlaub werden wir definitv noch einmal wiederkommen!

We returned to Wanlik Huus with a group of seven people. Everyone ate different dishes from lamb to meat and vegetarian. The dishes arrived in a timely manner and were consistently excellent! The waiter was very accommodating and responded to our special requests in an uncomplicated manner. The price-performance ratio is very good. We have eaten there several times and have always been very satisfied. We will definitely come back again on our current vacation!

The house with outdoor area is a dream… Aaaaaaabut: - Coffee doesn't taste good at all - Service (older lady) unfriendly and very slow. You can just grab something from the bakery across the street and then sit outside. Unfortunately, no one will notice.

Great and courteous service with a lot of heart. People and dogs alike receive a warm welcome and are wonderfully cared for. In particular, the sauces for the lamb fillet and the beef tips with tagliatelle were so good that the plates for “bread dipping” made the rounds of our family. Didn't eat there but the atmosphere was very charming

Unfortunately neither a good coffee/cappuccino nor a good cake. The eggnog cake had more cream than anything else and just eggnog poured over it. There were also dried banana slices in and on the cake?? The service was also lackluster. So unfortunately we cannot recommend it.

We weren't particularly impressed with the quality of the food. The lamb shank was cold, it didn't taste like the food had been cooked itself. We wouldn't recommend it.

Nach unserer Getränkebestellung ist 20 Minuten nichts passiert. Das Getränk kam mit der Vorspeise. Der letzte Löffel der Suppe im Mund, kam das Hauptgericht. Die Rinderfiletspitzen waren hart und es ist zu bezweifeln, dass es Filet war . Die Sauce hatte Instantcharakter. Nach 40 Minuten haben wir das Lokal verlassen.

Die Filetspitzen an einer Rahmsosse waren mangelhaft…….Die Nudeln waren zu lange Gekocht die Filetstücke zu lange gebraten und das Teller war voll Sauce …Fast eine Suppe…. Bedienung sehr nett….würde aber trotzdem nicht mehr kommen

We went here for lamb dinner 8 years ago. And it was terrific. Apparently there was a change of innkeepers. Unfortunately, our current experience could not be compared to that of back then. Apparently the menu is trying to build on the success of its predecessor, unfortunately without success. The ambience is still the same, but that doesn't save the food and service. Which unfortunately leaves a lot to be desired. The restaurant was empty and we always had to wait a long time for everything. I came with high expectations and unfortunately I was really disappointed. Maybe you should rethink the concept and decide on your own specialties. Or simply make a nice coffee with great cakes and tarts. It would definitely run better.

With the very friendly welcome, we immediately felt invited. The service always tried to look after its guests without being intrusive. The food was very good, even if the Matjes zum Labskaus doesn't come with a cream sauce (doesn't lead to a downgrade!). A cup of tea gave us a lovely evening at the end. Thanks!

There were three of us at the outside table, I asked if they offered iced coffee. No, they just had regular coffee. When I said no, the waiter said, OK and left... Without asking the other two people at the table if they would like to order something. Service is different.

If you are tired of driving to Lübeck for your favorite cake, I have a tip for you. Simply drive to the Wanlik Hüs in St. Peter-Ording. Order the marzipan cake there and take a quick vacation afterwards. Don't waste any time and it's best to get going straight away.

Lokation ist wunderschön...das auf dem Teller geht aber besser! Preis-Leistung hat zu unseren Gerichten nicht gepasst. Sehr kleine Portionen, Qualität mittelmäßig. Erst haben wir lange auf unsere Getränke gewartet, dann auf unser Essen. Als wir bezahlen wollten, wieder lange Wartezeit. Bedienung unprofessionell und nicht sonderlich höflich. Unser Essen ging zuerst an einen anderen Tisch. Nachdem der Gast reklamierte das es nicht seins wäre, verschwand unser Essen wieder im Haus. Kurz darauf erhielten wir es, nicht mehr ganz so heiß. Tagesangebot Scholle und Bratkartoffeln 22,50 Eur, Lammkeule mi Bratkartoffeln 31,50 Eur.

During our vacation we had dinner at Wanlik-Hues and were overall satisfied. The panfish tasted great and the plaice was also delicious, although it was difficult to eat with a lot of fish. I chose the restaurant because we always ate very well here years ago, apparently (my guess) there was a change of ownership. I think the rustic ambience is ok as such, but why is there a price tag stuck on many things... You might think that everything has to come out... There were difficulties in operation due to the German barrier. Ordered Chardonnay, Pinot Gris arrived at the service... The food didn't convince us either. I've never eaten a plaice that was so tasteless, and I also asked about the fillet tips with ribbon noodles because the meat had no difference to normal goulash. For us it was the last time we ate here.
