We visited the Walsumer Brauhaus restaurant by chance. The food, “A hit in the pan😀👍 and beer goulash was absolutely excellent. It was served warm and well seasoned. Another highlight was the friendly and courteous service staff and the ambience. We really felt comfortable! Thank you for great hospitality. We will definitely come back. Conclusion: A great restaurant (insider tip) with very good home cooking. The restaurant is particularly recommended by us.

Gastronomy experience!!! There is delicious food and beer here, but by far the biggest highlight is the glass polishing machine that is in the middle of the dining room. During my stay I was able to observe how regularly not only glasses but also hands, fingernails and a watch were polished - that seems to be normal. Best regards Diarrhea

The Walsumer Brauhaus Urfels is a quaint and cozy restaurant in the Walsum district of Duisburg. The dishes are tasty and reasonably priced. Fast and attentive service makes you feel like you are in good hands. In season you can also sit outside in the beer garden. Various activities (e.g. Easter or tapas) round off the concept throughout the year. Unfortunately, in summer, because the beer garden is so busy, you can be unlucky and not get a seat. It is therefore advisable to reserve in advance, for example on a bike tour. If you come by car, you can use the parking lot opposite to use.

The rustic Walsumer Brauhaus is still worth a visit, whether during the week or on the weekend (better with reservation). Good home cooking, hearty and well-filled plates invite you to socialize with friends, family or make new acquaintances. Friendly service and home-brewed beer alongside the shiny copper brewing kettles provide a cozy atmosphere. In summer, the large beer garden invites you to take a break for a fresh light drink. My parents invited me to the Walsumer Brauhaus for my birthday. Since I loved going there as a child, I was really looking forward to my girlfriend and I visiting. I got a turkey breast strip salad. This cost €20 and, in my opinion, was done quite heartlessly, boringly and without creativity. The cocktail sauce on the salad reminded me of the pizzeria on my street because the sauce tasted one to one. In my opinion, normal lamb's lettuce leaves with corn peppers and a little cucumber + six pieces of turkey breast do not justify the price of €20. Unfortunately, I was very disappointed with our visit, as the food my companion served was also rather mediocre.

Very cozy restaurant with a large beer garden in a lovingly landscaped garden including bicycle parking. The portions are huge and incredibly tasty - home cooking, Rhenish specialties or fish. The children's plate (ribbon noodles with tomato sauce) was also completely cleaned up! - All highly recommended. The service is quick and very friendly. Everything points to a return visit!

We were there for dinner today with 8 people. When you read the map you think that the prices are at the upper limit. We ordered and the service was very nice. However, we found that the food was consistently high quality, rich and fresh. There was really nothing to complain about. The atmosphere is unique. We'd love to come back.

Unfortunately, this brewery didn't convince us. The food portions are a bit lean, the schnitzel for €18 is far too small. Ketchup and mayo even cost €1.50 extra. The drinks aren't exactly cheap either; you pay the equivalent of one euro for 0.1 liters. The toilets stink and there is no paper to dry your hands. Not necessarily recommended here; Too bad.

It is well known, the Walsumer Brauhaus. There's something going on here. The food is as you would expect from a brewery. It's best to look at the menu online and take a look at the arrangements. Pre-booking a table makes sense.

We actually always liked going to the Brauhaus Walsum. But unfortunately the food turned out really bad. As always, the service was super friendly. Therefore only three stars. If it were after the meal, unfortunately only one star would be left. Went there with the whole family and unfortunately everyone didn't like it anymore. Simply great, the food was delicious and the service was very friendly. I can only recommend.

After a tour of Orsoy (approx. 7 km) we arrived back at the ferry in Walsum. After a short thought, we went to the brewery for a short break. As soon as we sat down, there was a friendly waitress at the table. Drinks were ordered quickly and we also received the menu very quickly. We decided on a bread basket (beer bread with lard) and potato wedges with garlic dip. Both were very tasty and the Rababer, passion fruit spritzer also refreshed us. Conclusion: Sit comfortably in the beer garden and enjoy. Price/performance appropriate. Highly recommended!!

A very nice beer garden with lots of nice seating areas. The food was great, I personally only missed the sweet mustard with the meatloaf. Service was friendly!!

The two of us arrived on our bikes today and were already seated in the beer garden, that was at 8:45 p.m. We were looking forward to a delicious beer. The "nice" waitress immediately informed us that we wouldn't be getting any more drinks. (Checkout is already closed, there are still a number of guests present, actually open on Thursdays until 9 p.m.) For us it was absolutely incomprehensible, given the great weather, such inflexible service. 0 stars for this (had to select at least 1 to post here.) Die Potionen waren nicht sehr groß. Das Essen selbst hat gut geschmeckt. Wollten für eine Feierlichkeit einen Tisch für 13 Personen reservieren. Auf die Frage ,ob wir uns einen Tisch aussuchen dürfen, weil wir im Vorjahr mit einer Gesellschaft sehr beengt gesessen hatten, meinte Herr Langhoff , wir sollten uns doch eine andere Lokalität aussuchen, wenn wir mit seinem Lokal nicht zufrieden sind. Wir haben uns für eine andere Lokaliät entschieden. Das Brauhaus werden wir nicht weiterempfehlen und auch nicht mehr besuchen. Ich glaube die Gastwirte stöhnen auf hohem Niveau, wenn sie sich so ihren Stammgästen gegenüber verhalten können.

A once great brewery that has become increasingly expensive in recent years. The food hasn't lost much quality but the portions have become smaller and more expensive. And the beers 0.3 liters. for €3.30 or 0.5 for €5.50 is pretty expensive.

Wir waren heute zum ersten Mal im Brauhaus. Insgesamt waren wir mit 4 Personen. Der Service war super nett, dass Bier sehr lecker und das Essen war sehr gut. Ich hatte das Schnitzel mit Röstzwiebeln, Spiegelei und Bratkartoffeln. Es war sehr lecker. Bei mir war leider nur etwas Fett aus der Pfanne auf dem Teller gelandet, was die Panade vom Schnitzel löste. Daher einen Stern Abzug. Bei den andern dreien war alles Top!

Waren mit einem befreundeten Pärchen im Brauhaus, der Kumpel kommt schon öfter her und wir waren auch sehr begeistert! Saßen sehr nett direkt in einem großen Bierfass, eine zackige junge Kellnerin hatte sich direkt aufmerksam um uns gekümmert! Das im Haus gebraute Bier war sehr lecker und süffig, das Essen traditionell zum Brauhaus sehr deftig und lecker! Vom Schmalzbrot als Gruß aus der Küche über die Haxe bis zur „Schippe Drägg“ , Schweinefilet serviert auf der Schaufel, waren die Gerichte frisch, lecker und sehr reichhaltig! Vielen Dank, wir kommen gern wieder!!

Simply iconic here. Great beer with a great beer garden. Inside, it has a rustic, cozy atmosphere that matches the brewery ambience. This time we were indoors for the celebration with a larger group. Everything was perfect here… great value for money, great service and special requests were taken into account.

Unfortunately we have to report the following about our visit on October 14th, 2022: As requested, I reserved the mussel dinner 14 days in advance - and in the presence of my loved ones - for that Friday evening at 5 p.m. I had the call on loud. We immediately noticed that the gentleman at the other end - it turned out that evening that he must have been the "boss" - was a bit sluggish. "One table, Friday at 5 p.m., 3 people, 2x2 kilos of mussels, because you have to order the amount in advance. However, the third person doesn't eat any mussels, he will choose something else on the menu." The gentleman repeated the order in a different order but correctly. End. What the supposed boss didn't mention on the phone and what isn't mentioned in the Facebook advertisement for the reservation: Anyone who orders the amount of mussels automatically gets "Rhenish style". Other varieties would have had to be ordered explicitly by telephone. For example, selecting “Spanish style” on site is not possible. Ok... Friday evening at 5 p.m., we enter the store and take a seat. Apparently 3x 2 kilo mussels were reserved in our name. OBLIGATION TO ACCEPT. Although both listeners were sitting at the table and insisted that the order really only consisted of 2x mussels, we only had the choice of leaving the restaurant or eating 3x2 kilos of mussels... The waiter made an effort and spoke to him again "Boss" in the kitchen, but there was no agreement in sight. Lt. According to the boss's philosophy, it would make more sense to throw away 6 kilos of mussels than to serve 4 kilos. As mentioned, we now had to decide on the Rhenish variety because we didn't explicitly request a different preparation on the phone. Didn't the boss tell us on the phone that 2x2 kilos automatically means Rhenish style... ok. We actually stayed because we don't appreciate waste, didn't want to let it ruin our evening and were really looking forward to some mussels. But the best is yet to come: After dinner, the boss himself usually comes to every table... which he did... just not to ours. None of us have experienced anything so disrespectful. The one star in our rating is for the waiter, who really tried very hard. The other star for the really good mussels (only 3 kilos per person was really too much!). However, due to the boss's behavior, we will no longer support the store (which we also did during lockdown, for example with motorhome dinners) and will permanently refrain from further visits and recommendations.

Finally a brewery that deserves the name. Great service, delicious drinks and also great food. I can only recommend

After a tour with friends on the Rhine, I felt a little hungry. So head to the Walsumer Brauhaus Urfels, since we've already been here we didn't need the menu, Rhenish sauerbraten with an extra bowl of sauce, a fluffy dumpling and delicious red cabbage. The soul was happy. But when Hacksen were served at the next table, I knew no way was too far, I had to go there again.

Had just eaten there and was unfortunately disappointed. I had to return my first order because it was rock hard and I couldn't cut it. In addition, the staff was not very friendly. ((

UNFORTUNATELY we arrived here for dinner today. There was a yawning emptiness, only two more tables were occupied, which seemed strange to us. A look at the map that makes you look away in shock. Mayo or ketchup €1.50 or extra charge for cream €2. Here the guest is being ripped off via “add-ons”. The non-existent friendliness of the staff has seen better days. The glass of the wheat beer I ordered still had remnants of the previous beer in it. The complaint about this at the counter was acknowledged by finding a clean one. Unfortunately that didn't work and so, on the guest's advice, a glass was washed and then served without apology. The food, which was served 10 minutes after ordering, included fried potatoes that must have been in the pan for at least a few hours, as they formed a thicker layer of rubber each time they were heated. All in all, a waste of money. Not professional, expensive, unfriendly and poor quality. Maybe Mr. Rosin should stop by sometime, but we'll definitely never again.

Wir waren heute LEIDER zum Essen hier eingetroffen. Es war gähnende Leere nur noch 2 weitere Tische belegt, was uns schon komisch vorkam. Ein Blick in die Karte bei der man nur erschrocken wegschauen kann. Mayo oder Ketchup 1,50€ oder Aufpreis für Sahne 2,-€ hier wird der Gast über „Add-ons“ abgezockt. Die nicht vorhandene Freundlichkeit des Personals hat auch schon einmal besser Tage erlebt. Das Glas des bestellten Weizenbieres hatte noch Reste des Vorgängers in sich. Die Reklamation dieses an der Theke wurde durch suchen eines sauberen quittiert. Leider gelang das nicht und so wurde auf Anraten des Gastes ein Glas gespült und dann entschuldigungslos gereicht. Beim Essen, welches bereits 10 min. nach der Bestellung serviert wurde, befanden sich Bratkartoffeln die schon minimum ein paar Stunden in der Pfanne zugebracht haben mussten, da sie durch jedes weitere erwärmen eine dickere Gummischicht bildeten. Alles in allem schade ums Geld. Nicht professionell, teuer, unfreundlich und schlechte Qualität. Vielleicht sollte Herr Rosin mal vorbeischauen aber wir bestimmt nie wieder.

I think this shop thrives more on tradition. Food wasn't bad. The price is like this. I've never had to pay €1.50 for a portion of mayo anywhere. In my opinion it doesn't work at all. Rated fairly with 4 stars ;-)

A great restaurant in a good location. The dishes are very large and delicious. Price-wise, completely okay. The service is quick and attentive. You felt very well looked after. The facility is very well maintained and has a very nice atmosphere. From spring you can also sit in the beautifully designed beer garden. There are also great promotions (Easter, tapas, etc.) on certain days of the year. There is a huge parking lot opposite. We will definitely come back. Keep it up :)

We had breakfast at the brewery today! The welcome was very warm! The breakfast itself was perfect and very filling! The service staff were very attentive and friendly! The entire stay from reception to farewell was great! We'll definitely be back! This was our second visit to the brewery and it went absolutely well! Keep it up !

The atmosphere was appealing, the staff was nice and friendly, but the cuisine is not recommended for my taste. The pepper schnitzel was blandly seasoned and the breading was soft. It was no different with the fried potatoes, they looked good but were very soft and far from fried. The sauce gelled and had hardly any taste. The portion size was good...but I preferred quality over quantity. If the food had been good the price would have been fair but every cent I paid hurt me. We saved dessert and went for ice cream. But kudos to the waitresses.

This was once again a failure. The welcome wasn't exactly as warm as you would expect as a guest. Since we came by spontaneously in the afternoon, we were only offered a seat at a high bar table, even though at least two thirds of all the tables were free. According to the employee, all tables were reserved for 5 p.m. We decided on the Rhenish Sauerbraten. The light beer was well chilled and delicious. As an appetizer there was bread with lard that tasted very good. The sauerbraten was well portioned with three slices, unfortunately it was so sour that it only tasted like vinegar. The red cabbage was very overcooked and had a bland taste. The toilet was ok. Unfortunately, the dish failed overall and cannot be recommended for the price quoted. The ambience is typical brewery. When we left the restaurant after an hour, two-thirds of the tables were still empty. As a host you should keep a better eye on this. But pride comes before a fall. Overall, our first impression was confirmed and we won't give it a third chance.

After our last failure, we have now been disappointed again. We wanted to test whether it would be better this time so that we could plan a big 60th celebration there. After we realized that spontaneous guests were received very unwelcomingly and we were then assigned a bar table to eat, even though the restaurant was only occupied by a few guests, we chose a more expensive, home-style dish, just like we are used to in good breweries . The choice fell on sauerbraten. The dish was beautifully presented and was served quickly and friendly. Unfortunately, apart from the dumpling, it didn't taste good at all. The meat had no taste of its own and was probably not prepared in the sauce, as is usual with sauerbraten. The sauce tasted like sweet and sour Asian sauce with bland raisins and a lot of vinegar essence. The red cabbage was overcooked and also bland. The dumpling, on the other hand, was light and also tasty. The dish cost just under €23 per person and we can only advise against ordering it.

Unfortunately I had to eat there again yesterday, 2 pieces of fish with fried potatoes without salad for €23.80. Quality normal! I'm sorry but that's not possible, fried potatoes are the cheapest food there is. Finally over! You will be given 2 hours to eat and then you will be asked to pay. That is not how it works. Apparently they can afford that. I won't do this anymore. Remember, pride comes before a fall. The staff wasn't exactly friendly either, they would have preferred to just collect money. Food was normal.

Essen war OK, Panade leider kein bisschen knusprig. 40 Minuten vor Ladenschluss darf man keine großen Getränke mehr bestellen, komisch. Ambiente war in Ordnung.

Eigetlich 0 Sterne.... Wir waren mit 9 Personen zum 'Brunch'. In der vergangenen Zeit waren wir von der Essener Brauerei sehr Brunchverwöhnt und hatten hier ähnliches erwartet. Leider gibt es hier nur ein extrem dürftigen Frühstück, was einfach als Brunch bezeichnet wird. Die Auswahl in allen Bereichen sehr überschaulich (einfacher Käse, etwas Aufschnitt, Lachs, Eier in 3 Variationen, Dosenobst und Müsli in ollen Tupperdosen beeindrucken negativ. Kein Bacon, Würstchen, Frikadellen oder Dessert, auch Suppe, ect findet man hier nicht... Die Tische werden nur auf Wunsch abgeräumt. Saft und Kaffee werden ebenfalls nur auf Wunsch nachgefüllt. Personal war zwar freundlich, aber vollkommen überfordert und unaufmerksam. Um 2 min vor 12.00 uhr ist das 'Buffet' auch schon komplett weggeräumt....Sehr schade. Ich bin so enttäuscht, dass ich dem Brauhaus nicht einmal eine 2. Chance geben möchte...Meine Empfehlung an den Betreiber:gehen Sie mal in die Dampfe und erleben ein richtig tollen Brunch...

Es war mit 30 Euro pro Person (ohne Getränke)nicht gerade preiswert. Umso enttäuschender dann was wir vorgesetzt bekamen. Es fing damit an, das die Teller nicht richtig sauber waren, teilweise feste kleine Essensreste darauf, lose Krümel oder Putzstreifen, so als wenn die Teller nur flüchtig mit einem feuchten Lappen abgewischt worden wären. Als Fleisch gab es 1. Chicken Nuggets, 2. Hähnchen Geschnetzeltes und 3. Schweine Krustenbraten, also das billigste Fleisch überhaupt. Als Beilage Bratkartoffeln und Reis. Als Gemüse: KEIN GEMÜSE unglaublich kein Gemüse bei einem Buffet für 30 Euro pro Person. Salat: einige Tomatenscheiben, etwas grüner Kopfsalat und Krautsalat. Ein Teller mit kleinen Matjesstücken gab es auch noch. Als Nachtisch nur rote Grütze mit Vaniellesoße. Ja und es gab noch Brezeln mit Butter und Schmalz, wobei man sagen muss, das die Brezeln alt waren und knochenhart. Es standen noch zwei Schälchen mit Mayonnaise und Ketchup beim Buffet, aber niemand wusste warum. Alles in allem sehr sehr enttäuschend was die Auswahl, die Quantität und vor allem was die Qualität des Buffets betraf. Ein Paradebeispiel dafür wie man Gäste verärgert... Es gab natürlich auch etwas positives, die Räumlichkeiten waren sehr schön, das Personal war sehr freundlich und uns standen mehrere Flaschen Mineralwasser kostenlos zur Verfügung. Aber das konnte das Buffet nicht retten.... In den Rezensionen kann man auf der Internetseite des Walsumer Brauhauses nachlesen, das unsere Enttäuschung kein Einzelfall war und es mehrere ähnliche Einträge gibt. Wir haben uns unsere Weihnachtsfeier durch das mickrige und somit völlig überteuerte Essen nicht vermiesen lassen, werden aber uns für das nächste Jahr sicherlich einen anderen Gastgeber suchen.

Es standen noch zwei Schälchen mit Mayonnaise und Ketchup beim Buffet, aber niemand wusste warum. Alles in allem sehr sehr enttäuschend was die Auswahl, die Quantität und vor allem was die Qualität des Buffets betraf. Ein Paradebeispiel dafür wie man Gäste verärgert... Es gab natürlich auch etwas positives, die Räumlichkeiten waren sehr schön, das Personal war sehr freundlich und uns standen mehrere Flaschen Mineralwasser kostenlos zur Verfügung. Aber das konnte das Buffet nicht retten.... In den Rezensionen kann man auf der Internetseite des Walsumer Brauhauses nachlesen, das unsere Enttäuschung kein Einzelfall war und es mehrere ähnliche Einträge gibt. Wir haben uns unsere Weihnachtsfeier durch das mickrige und somit völlig überteuerte Essen nicht vermiesen lassen, werden aber uns für das nächste Jahr sicherlich einen anderen Gastgeber suchen.

Wir waren mit 5 Personen zum Essen dort. 3 mal wurde Gans bestellt, 1 mal Schnitzel und 1 mal der Fitness Salat. Das Gänse Essen war ein absoluter Reinfall und schmeckte keinem von uns. Das Schnitzel war okay aber auch nicht mehr. Das Beste Essen war der Fitness Salat. Die 3 Gänse Essen waren aber Ausschlaggebend dafür, dass wir das Essen alleine nur mit 2 Sternen bewerten konnten. Die Bedienung war sehr freundlich. Das Lokal selbst wirkt urig und gemütlich. Letztendlich kamen wir aber zum Essen und da wurden wir enttäuscht.

Wie gewohnt rundum zufrieden 👍😉 Lediglich der Schließungszeitpunkt um 21:00 🕘 ist gewöhnungsbedürftig ☹️

Sehr netter Service. Geht auch auf Extrawünsche ein. Essen war wie immer gut und das Bier lecker.

Wir haben vertrocknetes Brot bekommen vorab. Der Pfannkuchen wurde wahrscheinlich in Butterschmalz gemacht. Er hatte einen extremen Geschmack danach und war sehr fettig. Auf wünsche beim Pfannkuchen wird nicht eingegangen und wird vom Chef auch nicht gemacht. Das Champion Schnitzel war nichts besonderes. Leider Geschmacklich nicht gewürzt. Die Pommes hätten noch länger in der Fritteuse bleiben können. Die bestellte Mayo habe ich vergebens gesucht und nicht bekommen (wurde aber berechnet). Etwas nach ordern war nicht möglich da niemand fragte ob alles gut ist oder überhaupt mal in die Nähe kommt. Ambiente ist echt toll. Der Rest leider nicht.

Свежее пиво. Можно заказать устрицы в субботу по предварительному заказу. На 2их человек ужин обошелся в 40€(то что на фото+2 пива-0,5).

Wenn man nach Nachfrage, ob es Muscheln gibt und für den kommenden Tag einen Tisch reserviert, ist es unverschämt keine Muscheln bestellen zu können. Man hätte die Muscheln bei der Reservierung bestellen müssen ! Im Gasthaus und im Internet werden Muscheln ab 17 Uhr verfügbar angeboten und nirgentwo steht etwas von einer Vorbestellung. Nie wieder Brauhaus Walsum

Leider war kein Mitarbeiter für uns zuständig. Essen kam dann eine Stunde nach der Bestellung an dem Tisch. Eisbein war kalt der Gulasch war kein Dunkelbier Gulasch und die Schippe Dreck war leider auch nicht gut.

Essen leider nur noch Durchschnitt. Das Dunkelbier Gulasch ist leider nicht mehr dunkel, sondern ein helles Schweine Gulasch ohne Geschmack. Schweine Medaillons komplett durch und ohne Gewürze. Eisbein nur lauwarm. Da nützt auch die gelungene Präsentation nicht viel. Obwohl fast keine Gäste im Lokal waren, mussten wir eine Stunde auf unser Essen warten. Das war es dann mit dem Brauhaus. Sehr schade.

Paprika Schnitzel sieht toll aus, aber leider total fettig Panade diese fiel ab kein Gewürz dran und die Pommes waren pappig.

Schönes Brauhaus, sowohl innen als auch außen. Freundliches Personal, leckeres Essen und ein tolles Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis. Wir waren schon öfters da und kommen bestimmt wieder.

Sehr schönes Brsuhaus mit gemütlichen Biergarten, leckerem Essen und natürlich frischem Bier. Leider nur 0.5 Liter Bier im Biergarten möglich zu bestellen. Ansonsten sehr zu empfehlen.

Echt schade ... wir wollten etwas essen (Küche geöffnet stand als Schild auf der Straße) bestellten Getränke und ebenfalls Essen bevor der Kellner aus der Küche kam und sagte, es gäbe nichts mehr. Die Getränke mussten wir trotzdem bezahlen... auf eine Email wurde nicht reagiert wir waren und sind sehr enttäuscht
