Up until around July 2025, the food and selection were very good. After that, the quality was reduced, and the food was only worth 2 to 3 stars. A shame about this restaurant.

Mostly terrible pre-packaged sauces 🤮🤮🤮 Unfortunately, zero stars isn't an option.

We were a group of eight for dinner. We had a table at the bar. The chairs were very stylish, and the decor was very elegant. The back area was also nice but simply furnished. The food selection was rather small, but there was something for everyone. The prices were quite high, with drinks and dessert costing between 30 and 40 euros. The food arrived quickly, and everything was delicious and beautifully presented. Portion sizes are debatable; for us, they were too small. The fries, in particular, were too few, but this was rectified immediately. The meat portions could also have been a bit larger, in my opinion. We can wholeheartedly recommend it. We had a lovely evening.

Definitely recommended, no matter whether it's the food or the service, everything is top-notch. We've been going there for years and are always impressed.

We always enjoy going there. The food is great, whether it's steak or schnitzel. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. In the summer, we like to sit on the terrace. Reservations are recommended, especially on weekends, as there are often parties in the winter garden. The parking spaces in the courtyard are great. But even if there aren't any spaces available, you can always find a spot nearby on the street. It's great that this restaurant is also wheelchair accessible. Thumbs up.

The food was tasty but nothing special. Waiting almost two hours for food for six people was unacceptable. Drink prices were reasonable. The food that came with fries was too small for the price. The fries were like they were counted. I won't be going there again.

After three years, eight of us returned to Rubbert to celebrate my family's birthday. I was completely surprised by the atmosphere and the food. The staff was friendly. 👍 We'd be happy to come back.

We went out to eat on Friday, September 5, 2025, for our wedding anniversary. Unfortunately, our food was simply terrible. When we asked why they were offering frozen schnitzel for that price (€16.90), we were told it was healthier. And our starter, a goulash soup for €8.90, simply tasted like water, which they also confirmed was water. An absolute disgrace. We won't be going to this place again.

The two of us went out to eat. The food was truly delicious. We didn't have to wait long at all. The food was piping hot. The sour cream was simply perfect. There's a wide selection, and there's something for everyone. The service was truly excellent and genuinely friendly. We felt very well looked after and comfortable.

I highly recommend this place. Great staff and a great owner. I had the turkey strips with fries, excellent quality. And the dessert is wonderful. I had the truffle ice cream with pistachio and almond with orange kernel, which was divine. My wife's tiramisu was also amazing. (The schnitzel was really great.) I'll be back and invite everyone to visit this place.

We sat outside in the beer garden. It was very cozy, and the chairs were great. The food was very good. I had schnitzel with mushrooms and fries—everything was excellent. My husband had turkey strips Zurich style. The meat was super tender—cooked to perfection. For dessert, we had tiramisu (non-alcoholic!)—beautifully decorated and, above all, very, very delicious.

We were regular customers there, both with groups of 2 to 4 people and with groups of around 15 people. The menu was recently reduced, so some of our favorite dishes are no longer available. Despite moderate customer numbers, we waited about an hour for our food on our last visit (2 people). When the food was served, we both immediately ordered a second drink. These arrived when our plates were already empty. It seemed that cost-cutting wasn't just on the menu, but also in the kitchen, the bar, and the service. We still tipped because the waitresses were pretty stressed but still tried their best. My son's funny Bosnian wasn't quite right either. The fries were hot, but the meat was only lukewarm. I hope the overall quality and the selection of food improves soon, as my family and friends used to really enjoy eating there.

You shouldn't expect goodwill, family bowling was planned, short-term cancellations were received, so too few people didn't think bowling was worth it. Looking for a phone call, could have saved it! Babbled something about rules, etc. Man, they need the money. We as a family [have been there several times] will not visit this store again..

We go there regularly with the bowling club and always have fun there. The service is great, the bowling alley has been renovated and you can listen to music at the alley. The food is also delicious. You can also celebrate your birthday there in a separate room. Parking spaces are behind the restaurant.

We had dinner here today for my mother-in-law's birthday. It took a while after ordering, but everything came together. You could eat everything well, not the very best, but still good. My pepper sauce wasn't that tasty, but the fried potatoes and fries were very good.

Good reservation system. You are even reminded. Unfortunately our reservation could not be found in the reservation book. The number of guests was manageable, so a table was quickly pushed together for us. Unfortunately, my Funny Bosniak somehow tasted like a refrigerator. I was hungry and didn't want to crash the birthday dinner because there were people among us who were happy. The beef no longer smelled good on my partner's mixed meat plate. I would have liked to drink more than 2 beers, but as is common in the catering industry, no further requests were asked. And even waving hard didn't help much. As I said: Unfortunately I didn't get past 2. For my part, I can't make any recommendations. The taxi rank right in front of the door is very nice.

Went to the restaurant on Boxing Day, despite the reduced menu and time slot we had to wait more than an hour and a half for the food. Food only lukewarm, the fries on the children's plates were totally over salted. To pay we had to leave the table and wait in the aisle for about 15 minutes.

The food was terribly bad, more salt like everything else and not just on a plate. Cold and just slapped on it. And way too expensive for that. Waiting time was 45 minutes. We would have liked to get drinks. We always had to let the top know and then it took a while. So the bottom line is that 15 people don't go there anymore.

Ambiance OK. Service quick. Food edible. Parking spaces are rare

Update.December 24. Went to eat with you again. Everything was super tasty and we went home full.🤤🤤 The ambience was good. It was pleasant to be able to sit outside. The service was good. The food, we had schnitzel, was normally good. There are better but also worse schnitzels.

Prices too high for such a small portion (bird shit), food too dry. Waiting too long for food over 75 minutes is unacceptable. Never again.

Pure ten. All praise for the ambience, the food, the staff and the owner of the restaurant, we will be back.

We have been going bowling there for 10 years and have always been satisfied. But for a year the service has been brutally bad no drinks no food if only after 2 hours. Now the absolute hard part, we have reserved for November 8th, 2024 at 8 p.m. Went there at 7 p.m. and drank 2-3 beers upstairs. At 8 p.m. we were allowed to go to the bowling alley and everything was fine. At 8:15 p.m. the waiter comes to us and says it's too full upstairs, unfortunately you can't order food or drinks, we can't do that, he says 😂😂but you're welcome to go bowling 😂😂. What a load never more unfriendly staff and the boss doesn't care and sends his 5€ staff ahead if things don't work.

It's a shame, that was the worst and most expensive meal ever. The service was overwhelmed. Only after the service was made aware that we wanted something to drink did someone come. We had to wait over an hour for the food, and the quality of the food was not even that of a chip shop level. A Hawaiian turkey schnitzel with boring fries and overpriced mayo (€2) and ketchup (€2) that I could have had cheaper and tastier at home. I'll save myself the experience of being able to eat something with friends in this establishment in the future. I understand something different about enjoying food.

How can you find something like that beautiful? Ambience 80 years of bowling alleys totally run down and food is just at the level of a french fries stall. The best is the boss. Doesn't know the prices on his own card. Writes down the dishes incorrectly and complains to the customers afterwards and has no respect for customers because he doesn't want to admit his mistakes. Not a nice restaurant at all, the food looks like it was thrown away, far too expensive for the small portions and apart from that it takes hours for the drinks to arrive and when they get there they are boarded up and warm, you order food and want extra wishes or something If you don't have something with your meal, it won't be written down properly and then you'll get it the way you didn't want it. Instead of apologizing and trying to make improvements, the "boss" will yell at you and throw you out in person In no way has anything to do with respect or hospitality, the bowling alleys are run down and you're being watched/listened to by cameras, that's not possible!!! We will NEVER come back to bowling (as a bowling club). We'll NEVER come back to eat either

Today I spent a wonderful evening with my family at Haus Rubbert, a great restaurant with a bowling alley that always provides lots of fun and good food

Food very good and drinks inexpensive and a very large selection. Vodka E and Wildberry Lillet beer etc.

Reservations for 8 people didn't work out, but we still got a table. However, we had to wait 75 minutes for the food. My senior plate was very manageable and carelessly prepared, pork medallion that was too thick, dry, sauce put on it, croquettes rolled onto the large plate, small red puree decoration with a twig, the dish was ready. It could have been done differently, for a whopping 18.80 euros. But the others probably enjoyed it and the waiter was very nice.

We've eaten there a few times and all we can say is the salad buffet is great, the food is very tasty and plentiful.

Came back after a long time. A nice, friendly waiter served us. The salad buffet is still self-service. Nevertheless, it is clean and no spills to be seen 😘 all salads, from cucumber 🥒, tomato 🍅 or iceberg lettuce, everything fresh and crunchy. I can only recommend the cabbage and bean salad 👍 The chicken nuggets, crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, very tasty. The fries were delicious 😋 like they were homemade, made from fresh potatoes. Very child friendly restaurant.

Delicious dishes... we particularly liked the Hamborner pan and the Rubbert plate... but the other dishes also looked very tasty. Friendly service and good service...last Sunday there was also a goulash soup as a greeting from the kitchen. So we still have to try out a few dishes....we're looking forward to it.....we sat outside on the terrace, very pleasant and no matter how crowded it is....the food comes to the guests promptly.... so until next time...

My mother celebrated her big birthday there and I unfortunately have to say that a lot of things went wrong in the service. The buffet ordered (for the EVENING) had already been set up for coffee in the afternoon, so at least half of all the hot dishes were already placed in the warming plates, ALTHOUGH it would still be a few hours until dinner. Then, when my parents complained about this, they were neither understanding nor did they clear things up - no. People were taken aback and left everything as it was set up. Unfortunately, the service at the tables also left a lot to be desired - some people didn't have glasses and only got them after a long wait and repeated questions, empty coffee and milk jugs were only refilled late and a few other things. What's more, the total bill was already brought to my father for coffee, even though the celebration wasn't even close to being over. Normally - especially if drinks are ordered long after dinner, etc. - you get the bill at the very end (or have it sent to you by letter). Here, however, the man of the house was probably so "pissed off" because there were a lot of things to complain about (and this was also addressed!) that he acted like that. Furthermore, I have to say personally that the extremely jovial (and negative) behavior of the owner towards my parents was absolutely tasteless and, moreover, if you put on a very fake smile, you should try not to let your own facial features spoil your plans . To top it all off, last but not least, the number of guests was incorrectly calculated, then they were asked to pay the full buffet price of €55 for small children under 2 years old and, as the icing on the cake, the owner did so in an insulting manner reacted when people wanted to talk calmly about all the mistakes that had been made in order to at least reach a somewhat friendly conclusion. It wasn't what you would expect from such a highly acclaimed restaurant. Truly not! If you make mistakes and they are pointed out to you, then you can feel upset - but never towards the guest. You accept it, learn from it, eliminate the mistakes for next time and try to part on good terms. However - even though I don't usually write negative reviews - I have to do it differently this time. It's a shame that an actually happy celebration had to have such a backstory. For me: Haus Rubbert once and never again.

Das Haus Rubbert hat meine Erwartungen übertroffen. Das Essen war Perfekt zubereitet und hat hervorragend geschmeckt. Der Service war aufmerksam und freundlich. Die Atmosphäre war einladend und gemütlich, was zu einem rundum gelungenen Abend beigetragen hat. Das Preis-Leistung-Verhäktnis war angemessen. Definitiv eine Empfehlung.

Die Atmosphäre im Haus Rubbert war herausragend. Die stimmungsvolle Beleuchtung und die geschmackvolle Einrichtung schufen eine angenehme und gemütliche Umgebung. Die dezente Hintergrundmusik trug zur entspannten Atmosphäre bei, während der aufmerksame Service das Gesamterlebnis noch weiter aufwertete. Ein Ort, der sich perfekt für genussvolle Abende eignet.

Das Essen hier : Ich sage es mal so, ohne jemanden zu beleidigen. Früher und auch heute noch gab und gibt es den Begriff Kochehre. Das was ich als Koch den Gästen präsentiere soll meinen eigenen Ansprüchen ans Kochen genügen. Alles aus überwiegend TK und Convenience Produkten warm zu machen gehört nicht dazu. Mehr möchte ich dazu nicht sagen.

02.12.'2023 Haben wir eine Nette Betriebs Weihnachtsfeier gehabt. Das Essen war sehr gut, und das Personal war sehr freundlich und Aufmerksam zu ihren Gästen. Die Speisekarte ist sehr übersichtlich gestaltet. Die Kegelbahnen sind gut, und Sauber.

Bin zum ersten Mal da gewesen und sehr positiv überrascht. Lage und Eingangvorbereich scheußlich aber das Restaurant selbst sehr gemütlich. Super Essen und nette Bedienungen, ausreichende Portionen, Preise angemessen. Würde es gerne weiter empfehlen!

Gestern setze ich mich hin wie schon einige Male zuvor. Und der Kellner kommt und stellt mir das Bier hin dass ich noch bestellen wollte. Ich nenne das übernatürlichen Service :)

Wir haben uns mit 9 Freunden im Lokal getroffen. Das Essen meiner Kollegen sah gut aus. Ich habe nur ein Bier getrunken. Bei der nächsten Getränkelieferung war mein bestelltes nicht dabei. Der Kellner jongliert mit dem Tablett über meinem Kopf, und es kam wie es kommen musste, das gesamte Tablett kippte und ich war von oben bis zu den Schuhen mit Bier geduscht . Außer Entschuldigung und dem Angebot einen trockenen Jogger zu tragen passierte nichts. Die Rechnung über 13,00 Euro wurde noch kassiert, das wars. Vorsichtshalber werden wir dieses Lokal nicht mehr besuchen.
