Very good food, usually very busy, resulting in longer wait times. Large portions, daily specials very reasonably priced.

Unfortunately, many dishes were no longer available quite early on... that shouldn't/mustn't happen. That's unprofessional! The friendliness of the staff at the self-service counter also leaves a lot to be desired. Definitely not going back anytime soon!

Unfortunately, we only got a seat inside, where it was quite loud and hectic. The view, however, is fantastic. The selection of dishes and drinks is quite large and varied. The value for money is good, and the service was excellent, very fast, and super friendly.

The food is incredibly delicious. The service inside is very friendly, and the outside area is self-service. Unfortunately, the outside area faces the mountain, so you don't get the incredibly beautiful view that the inside area offers, but that's just nitpicking at the highest level.

Great location, good value for money

We spontaneously stopped by for coffee one afternoon. The dining room is very nice and the terrace/beer garden is lovely – although unfortunately it's on the "wrong" side of the building, as the beautiful view is only available from the back. However, you can enjoy it from the dining room! The iced coffee was delicious, and the kitchens are also highly recommended!

We were here for lunch today, June 25, 2025. We got the tip from the Oberes Leintal campsite, which we also recommended. A fantastic forest tavern with fantastic, fresh food. Very friendly staff. There's something for everyone on the menu. It's also a great place for hot days, as there are lots of trees all around. Highly recommended, especially considering the prices.

The location in the forest makes it perfect, especially for children, with a lovely playground. We always enjoy going there when we're visiting relatives, and I have to say, the food is always excellent. The prices are also very fair.

Unfortunately, it was rather disappointing. The food was really good, and I couldn't fault the taste. What bothered me, however, was that you had to pay extra for everything. A side dish with the schnitzel costs extra, and they even charged €2 for a little gravy. In the end, I paid almost €30 for a turkey schnitzel with potatoes, gravy, a small mixed salad, and a sparkling water. You also have to pick up the food yourself outside. To be honest, I would have expected a bit more for that price. The value for money isn't right for me.

The view was phenomenal, but the service wasn't great. I can't rate the food, as we didn't get any until shortly after 8 p.m. on a Friday evening, even though the restaurant says food is served until 8:30 p.m. It's a shame; we won't be back. You have to get your own food and drinks. You also have to clear up the place yourself.

Schnitzel with bread: €11.50 - Meat thickness: 3 mm - Bread: 1/4 slice I don't think that's OK. The wheat beer is tasty, and the service and atmosphere are good.

Very good beer garden right in the forest. Absolutely recommended in hot weather and otherwise. Great location. Great portions. Good food. Unique. Recently, we actually only had a glass full of ice at the lead-free cocktail. Plus the syrup and everything else. Guys, have you ever tried mixing it all with a cardboard straw? We weren't the only ones that day who broke, dissolved, and destroyed the straw. Less, in this case the ice, is sometimes more.

At 3:02 PM (the time is important), I arrived after a 15 km hike and wanted to order the daily special. The waitress said it was only valid until 3:00 PM. After asking, I could order the meal at the regular price, which I politely declined. A 0.5-liter bottle of beer was 4.90. The location was good, but that didn't matter to me anymore. Form your own opinion; my own is definitive...

It's beautifully situated in the forest. It's a few degrees cooler than other beer gardens, especially in summer. Food is great, including seasonal food (e.g. asparagus right now). Really great beers, in addition to the beer selection on the menu there are also promotional beers. There is a playground next door, within sight of the parents. All in all, a great beer garden.

Short version: Food in advance was super tasty and came quickly. Unfortunately it is neither vegetarian nor vegan friendly. References to the errors were ignored. Explanation: I had the “vegan Swabian ravioli” which can be found in the “No desire for meat” category. Of the allergens, only gluten is listed. The dish came with "grated hard cheese" which, when asked, turned out to be Parmesan. This is therefore neither vegan nor vegetarian. I tried to politely point this out to the waitress, who unfortunately just mumbled something and went to the next table. Since I'm flexitarian and don't have any allergies, this wasn't a problem for me, but I would like to point this out to future guests. Additionally, my companion noticed that there was only one changing table in the female toilet.

Went there to celebrate a birthday. We had a reservation for 6 p.m. At 7:30 p.m. you already asked if we would go, the next ones are already waiting. It was probably a bit overbooked and dampened the ending a bit... But otherwise nice, especially the boss.

A real insider tip with a wow effect! Yesterday we spontaneously went to Neuer Berg and were completely thrilled. The journey alone is worth it, because the view from up there is simply magnificent - a real feast for the eyes! The location itself exudes a charming, authentic character that we immediately liked. The food was consistently very tasty and exceeded our expectations. But what really made our visit special was the extremely friendly and attentive service. You really felt welcome. We would definitely like to come back and can only warmly recommend Neuer Berg! A great place for a spontaneous trip with fantastic views, delicious food and warm hospitality.

If it is very busy, the service is rather slow, or because the boss was not in the house... Parking lot very wet and muddy in wet weather, shoes and vehicles become very dirty. Addendum after another visit.... The service left a lot to be desired, the espresso we ordered came cold, but was replaced with one that wasn't really hot. The cake we ordered only came after repeated requests, all in all not very satisfactory.

If you want to see beautiful sunsets with delicious food, this is the place for you. Particularly worthy of mention is the salad buffet with a large selection of fresh ingredients. There is an excellent wine list and the atmosphere is a mix of rustic and modern. You will be served quickly and friendly, no matter how busy it is.

The atmosphere is very nice! The waiter was very friendly! My food was good (schnitzel, potato salad, mushroom cream sauce). My husband's food (ox cheeks, red cabbage, spaetzle) was not good - served in a deep plate, everything was stacked on top of each other - the spaetzle tasted old and the meat was nothing special - not recommended. Something about the food must have been bad because he had very bad stomach problems.

This is a lovely place with very good food at reasonable prices. The spetzle is homemade and is very tasty, and there is plenty of food with each order. While eating, you get a beautiful view of the valley below.

Since the Wieprecht family took over the restaurant, we have loved eating there. Unbeatable price, great quality and service... Great team there for years, which speaks for a good working atmosphere. It's a shame for us, but almost nothing works without a reservation. No matter whether during the week or on the weekend.
