Bit of a mess, but still delicious. You first have to manage to make guests happy for so many years. Yes, you have to like self-service, long queues at peak times too... But you will be rewarded with delicious food and drink. 😁 And a nice environment.

Always my pleasure. The food is delicious and cheap. The location is perfect for a trip. Whether after a visit to the gorge or a bike ride along the old canal - a stop is absolutely recommended.

Went there for lunch yesterday. Unfortunately it was only open outside, it was a bit "shady". But food was super tasty 😋.

The location is very nice, on the canal and right next to the forest. However, I can't understand why there aren't any fries there. Even the children have to eat potato salad with their schnitzel, there are no fries. Actually, it's standard to get at least fries in a beer garden and I'm sure that more people would come that way. The food itself is always very well seasoned, but sometimes too spicy.

Unfortunately there are always long queues when ordering food. Speaks for the food, but it's annoying.

Large and beautiful beer garden with fair prices. The food is good, middle-class - Franconian. Unfortunately, the classic currywurst with fries was missing from the menu. (There are no fries with any other dish) What I think is very good is that they serve regional beer. The beer garden is perfect for a stop after a hike in the Schwarzachklamm.

The area is beautiful and wonderful for walking, but the food here is very expensive for what you get and was nothing special. Everything is ready immediately. This is not cooking but a soup kitchen. The choice of beer and other drinks is okay. Do not come here to eat. very disappointing, it used to be much better

A great beer garden that invites you to linger after a wonderful hike in this absolutely impressive area. The food surprised us positively. A large selection of Franconian dishes, as well as coffee and cake, leave nothing to be desired. The ladies in the kitchen are warm and always up for a joke, but above all they are hard-working and on their toes. The food comes within a few minutes and tastes really good. The young boys in the beer garden are also very attentive and quickly clear the dishes as soon as you're done. The cappuccino has the world's best milk foam...just to say the least. 😉 The prices are completely okay. When it comes to drinks, you get 0.5l for the price you pay for half elsewhere. All in all, the Waldschänke impressed us so much that we will come regularly in the future, even if we have to drive 60km. The only thing to complain about is the toilets. More cleanliness would be desirable there. But I've experienced worse there too. In any case, we give it 5 stars 🌟 because the overall concept is simply convincing. There is enough space and there are parking spaces nearby.

This beer garden with around 700 seats can be the starting point, destination or stopover on the Schwarzachklamm/Ludwigskanal circular hiking trail. Very friendly staff offer a surprising amount of self-service food and drinks at acceptable prices. An adjacent parking lot also offers enough space for guests traveling by car. Worth a visit.

Great, huge beer garden in a prime location. Quiet, located in the middle of the forest and with lots of different seating options. Down-to-earth food at reasonable prices. Also highly recommended with children - entry into the Schwarzachklamm hiking trail directly from the beer garden.

The Waldschänke is a popular place in the area. The food was very good and the prices too. Food must be ordered at the window and picked up.

Nice beer garden and really nice ambience, unfortunately the food wasn't that good. The bratwurst and pressack were totally over salted and the sauerkraut wasn't good either. The cake with 3 pieces of rhubarb, well what can I say? It was definitely my first and last visit here.

Went to the Schwarzachklamm today. We were completely lost, but a very nice local resident helped us find the right access to the gorge. Thanks again 😊. Then we parked at the Waldgasthof and ate there on the way back. Great atmosphere, great food, extremely nice staff and great prices. Thank you for the lovely afternoon 😘

Just great. Were there with a few friends. Great food. Good mood. Cyclists like to take a break here. Dogs are also welcome, which I think is great. Nobody argues, nobody shouts, everything is peaceful and clean. I would definitely like to come back. I have the feeling...the further away from Nuremberg...the more beautiful, better and quieter it is.

A beautiful beer garden that invites you to linger under chestnuts and other trees. The majority of the pitches are in the shade. Large food and drink menu. Daily specials clearly visible on boards. I had salt knuckles with bread and my wife had “Strammen Max”. Both dishes were good and prepared quickly. Self-service applies to food and drinks. Clearing up, wiping the table and emptying the ashtray were all done very quickly by the service. Conclusion: very nice beer garden. We'd love to come back

But the delivery point is friendly and the food is good. Everyone has to form their own opinion about Rothenburger Landwehrbräu.

Today we hiked to the Waldschänke through the Schwarzachklamm. Very nice beer garden with delicious food and well-chilled drinks. Self-service, drinks are available on one side, food on the opposite side. The waiting time was very short and we were able to pick up our food within 10 minutes. Schnitzel with potato salad, delicious and plentiful.

The food has deteriorated by 50% over the last year. Cabbage wrap filling much too hard, dumplings from the day before. Cake very small for the price. Are very disappointed.

The Waldschänke on the Brückkanal is a great beer garden, especially for hikers and cyclists traveling near the Schwarzachklamm. The food is delicious, the beer is excellent, and the sanitary facilities are clean. Even when the weather is good and there are lots of visitors, you can always find a place. The food and drinks are prepared quickly despite self-service. Highly Recommended!

Nicely located cellar. The choice of food is plentiful. There are a lot of cold and warm dishes. The portions are big enough and the price is good. There are four different types of shandy, which I had never seen before. Behind the property there is a very interesting hiking trail, similar to a gorge but in miniature. It takes about 30 to 45 minutes, first the journey then the food, highly recommended. Overall, a clear recommendation.

This beer garden is really recommended because it is beautifully located on the Schwarzachtal or the Bruck Canal and is easy to reach. After a long hike or bike ride, stopping there is just the right way to end. A clear recommendation, as the food is also rich and good. A large selection is also offered, both in terms of food and drinks, so there should be something for everyone.
