I had a road trip near that place while travelling in Germany and I sat there with my family for lunch. I will tell you guys it was so amazing that we went back 5 more times in 3 days. The price the quality and the service there is wonderful I recommend it to everyone. Good job by the owner

I came here with my family and it was the best food I could've found around there. The staff there were so friendly and so quick we were feeling as if we were in a 7 star restaurant. The prices were also amazing and it was worth every penny. I really recommend it to everyone who visits that city.

5 out of 5 stars – Absolutely recommended! We celebrated our communion at the Gasthaus zur Goldenen Krone – and it was simply perfect! The staff was super friendly, attentive, and professional. The food was a real treat: The shoulder of pork was tender as butter, served with delicious spaetzle, dumplings, and a delicate cream sauce. The turkey schnitzel with the fresh salad buffet was also a hit with our guests. With about 40 people, we were a larger group, but everything ran smoothly. The food was served on time and hot, no one had to wait, and the service was consistently friendly. The decorations were lovingly and traditionally designed (see photo) and beautifully complemented the festive setting. The prices were also absolutely fair and reasonable. Many thanks to the entire team – we would love to come back!

Spare ribs (not American) were very good, tasted great! Very friendly staff, food and drinks within a very short time, all in all a great evening. Always my pleasure!

I was eating Ribble... a lot... I personally thought it tasted incredibly good... authentic Franconian... everyone could bring their own sauce... Why sauce? 5 stars... now for the service... 5 stars... after a strenuous week, a great end to the evening...

echt fränkisches Lokal, sehr gemütlich, Weihnachtsdeko geschmackvoll, dezent und unaufdringlich. Absolut leckeres echt fränkisches Essen. Ob Karpfen (frisch aus eigener Zucht!!) oder Schäufele, Braten oder Schnitzel: alles sehr gut und frisch zubereitet Schnitzel aus der Pfanne, nicht aus der Friteuse!! Went here for dinner. Unfortunately the sauce was very greasy and the sauerbraten sauce was burnt. This can happen if it is present. And that's not a matter of opinion or that it was reserved for more people than ultimately came. Unfortunately, at a 65-year wedding celebration, guests die at short notice. A little sympathy doesn't hurt. Apart from that, it didn't hurt the economy because we paid for all the food we ordered. The service always tried to be friendly. Find the response to the previous comment distasteful when one was informed that there was a death.

We made a reservation here for a celebration and ordered table decorations for a happy occasion, but it felt more like a funeral. The pre-ordered amount of food was only enough, as unfortunately, some guests had to cancel. One of the sauces was burnt, which made the waiter not really believe me. The food itself was OK, but nothing more. You could put together your own salads, but the buffet was right by the entrance, so you got in the way of incoming guests or the waiters. There was no apology for the burnt sauce, nor was there a discount. The sauce from the other dish tasted OK, but I'd call it more of a soup. I won't be going there again, which is a shame. Edit: It's a shame that some people had to cancel due to a bereavement, but it has nothing to do with the service. I can write more clearly: the meat was OK, but almost cold when it arrived at the table, and the sauce was abysmal. I've never had to eat anything like it in my life. I wrote the review politely, but if you can't handle criticism, that's really sad. I hope you get your kitchen back in order, because under these circumstances I would even prefer a fast food chain.

I've rarely been so disappointed. What was supposed to be a lovely celebration turned out to be nothing but frustrating. Burnt sauce arrived in two sauce bowls, while the other sauce, served in salad bowls, was more like soup. Dumplings were also placed on plates. Naturally, they got cold in no time. Luckily, they didn't want us for coffee and cake, so we were able to relax and enjoy something at another location. If I could, I wouldn't have given them any stars at all. In any case, never again.

Cozy “peasant farm”. Very good, friendly service. Recommended: baked carp with salad. Very reasonable prices. We'd love to come back.

The opening hours cannot be trusted. Stopped here on the way back from vacation and even though it said it was open, everything was closed. It's a shame about the detour.

The food was absolutely fantastic. Real traditional German fare, done to the highest standard. The beer was excellent and the service was top quality. Absolutely wonderful people and so kind. The sort of place that makes you want to move to the area.

Very nice and familiar restaurant with well-prepared food. Our party ate Schnitzel, Cordon Bleu and chanterelle omelette. Everyone was very satisfied An extra thank you for understanding to be able to pay the next day when we lacked cash for part of the bill.

Stopped for a short rest on the way back from South Tyrol. Great beer garden, delicious roast at fair prices. My absolute highlight: no brown fizzy drinks from American beverage manufacturers! The trip was worth it, we were served quickly and deliciously! Thanks for the hospitality

Despite the full beer garden on the holiday, we managed to get a seat, which was freshly cleaned and before we looked around there was already a high chair for the little one. The staff was super friendly and always available to say something quick. Food came quickly, was hot and tasted really great. Salad that you can mix yourself rounded everything off. We'll definitely be back.

The veal schnitzel was dripping with fat, but otherwise the food was just okay. Unfortunately the salad buffet wasn't good at all either. Won't come again.

We had dinner there with the family yesterday. Food was very tasty. Good bourgeois, tastes very good. You have to like the open salad buffet. The ambience is rustic, from an older era combined with modern aspects that don't always harmonize well. Service is direct and Franconian. You have to like the direct and harsh tone, but still warm at all times. All in all a good restaurant, if you want to experience Franconian cuisine for a fair price, this is the place for you.

What can I say... Hats off to the owners of this inn. We were a group of 32 people. We had already discussed the food orders in advance, which saved a lot of work for the service and of course the waiting time for us as guests. And from the time the first dish went out to the last one, less than ten minutes passed. Hats off to this achievement with only three people. The food was excellent and no one had to wait long for the next drink. The boss sorted this out single-handedly. Super nice and typically Franconian service. We'll definitely be back. The carp fillets were very good and are recommended. The mixed salad was also sufficient.

Cozy traditional inn. I celebrated my birthday there and would do it again and again. My entire family, whether grandparents or children, were all absolutely thrilled with the food. Super tasty, my grandpa can't get the carp out of his head. Service is totally on point and responds immediately to every special request. If you have a larger group you should make a reservation, but that only speaks for itself. Nevertheless, you are always warmly welcomed spontaneously and try to find a solution for everything. The food is always freshly prepared and you can taste that too. Respect to the cook that he throws all of this alone. In summer you can sit outside in the beer garden and drink something comfortably with friends. I am always happy when I go out to eat there and will come back soon. Then I order the Schäuferle. Been there three times now. Disappointed three times. Especially at Christmas. Much of the food tasted like it had been used for convenience. Schnitzel extremely dry. Potato salad like it's from the subway. By far the worst restaurant in Röthenbach. Note: Instead of addressing my points about quality, I basically say we've always done it this way, so it has to be right. I was with you three times because I wanted to give it another chance, well then not. I just hoped that these were isolated cases. I won't give it another chance because the owner obviously doesn't want that. Unfortunately, convenience is now widespread in the catering industry. Then you just have to find the places that still focus on quality workmanship.

Super tasty and cheap Franconian economy. The carp is sensational and the spare rib all u can eat is unbeatable. 😊✌️ I always enjoy coming back.

All is well with the world here. Familiar Franconian inn, with original Franconian food, Franconian service and Franconian charm. There is also a beer garden where you can sit under ancient chestnut trees in summer and enjoy Franconian hospitality in the shade. The owner couple and the service leave nothing to be desired and everything at an unbeatable price👍

Sehr schöne ländliche Kneipe / Restaurant, ursprünglich mit flair. Sehr gutes Essen, egal ob Karpfen oder Schäuferla, wobei für mich der Karpfen unübertroffen ist, hab noch keinen besseren gegessen. Sehr nette Bedienung. Genügend Parkplätze für die Gäste

Es war schon sehr ärgerlich, dass man bei der Kirchweih an der Bar gekaufte Getränke nicht in den Biergarten mitgenommen werden durften.

Schönes Haus mit Biergarten und Parkplätzen, allerdings die Pfannkuchen- Suppe war eher ein Pfannkuchen - Wasser , die Kruste vom Schäufele wurde nicht richtig eingeschnitten ergo nicht geploppt, schade... das Fleisch vom Schäufele hingegen Top. Der Service war teilweise sehr unfreundlich, da ist noch viel Luft nach oben. Ich denke ich werde nicht wieder kommen, dazu hat zu vieles nicht gepasst.

Empfehlenswerter kleiner, lauschiger Biergarten mit sympathischem Service, leckerem Bier, eigenwillig geschmacklich wertvollen Speisen zum günstigen Preis. Gerne wieder!

Ein echter Geheimtipp. Urige Gaststätte mit einem ganz besonderen rustikalen Charme. Das Essen ist außerordentlich gut die Servicekräfte sehr nett und freundlich. Wir werden auf jeden Fall wieder kommen.

Einmal dortgewesen, ein zweites Mal bestimmt nicht mehr. War für mich enttäuschend. Fränkische Küche stell ich mir ganz anders vor.

Heute zum ersten mal da gewesen und es war alles einfach wunderbar. Angefangen beim Salatbuffet über die Klöß, die Soß und das Fleisch. Auch beim Nachtisch waren glückliche Kinderaugen zu sehen. Wir kommen wieder! Sehr zu empfehlen!!

Wir gehen meistens an Weihnachten hier essen, aber auch mal zu Fahrradtouren. Sehr gutes Essen, sehr kleine Preise

Ein Dorfgasthaus wie es sein soll. Angefangen von den Gardinen an den Fenstern im Gasthof aufgehört beim Salatbuffet auf dem langen Tisch am Eingang (wo bekommt man noch Quitschebohnen und Blumenkohlsalat 😂) ist hier alles beim schon immer bewährten Konzept geblieben (welches schon immer gut war!). Die Karte ist typisch fränkisch und der Karpfen war äußerst gut! Auch das Cordon Bleu kam gut daher und die Wirtin ist trotz hohem Atbeitspensum freundlich und zum einen oder anderen Spaß aufgelegt. Bezahlt wird noch mit harter Währung - nicht mit Plastik! Immer wieder gerne....

Mehr Sterne kann ich leider nicht vergeben. Sehr leckeres Essen, hab noch in keiner Wirtschaft eine so leckere Gans gegessen. Preis Leistung passt auch. Sehr nette und freundliche Wirtsleute. Kann ich sehr empfehlen . Übersichtliche Speisekarte, perfekt.
