Very friendly host and delicious food. I'd love to come back.

We thought this cozy little restaurant was closed, but when we looked around the corner, there were actually guests there, and we were allowed to sit down. There are no appetizers, but that's okay because the schnitzel is delicious! You can't pay by card, so make sure you bring cash! Luckily, we were allowed to return a day later to pay for our dinner.

Very friendly staff, you feel very comfortable! The food was very good, the schnitzel is fresh, no frozen goods! Nice and juicy, I haven't had such good schnitzel in a long time! The fries exactly as they should be! The side salad is beautifully seasoned with vinegar, exactly my taste! Definitely coming back! The price is unbeatable too! For 3 beers + 2 specialties and two schnitzels with fries and salad 47 € top!!!

Small menu of dishes, but very well cooked, like their specialties. I prefer it this way. They have a garden with tables and very relaxing decoration. The owner is very friendly, from the first moment he makes you feel comfortable. We communicated well even though we spoke different languages. Very good value for money. In short, a sensational and authentic place far from tourist pretensions, very frequented by the local people, to savor and enjoy the authentic black forest.

We often come here to eat. The landlord is always friendly and the food is delicious! The schnitzels are made fresh, you can hear it from the kitchen when the schnitzels are being beaten. The schnitzel with fries is definitely recommended! The atmosphere and furnishings are very homely, but we felt very comfortable. We look forward to next time! :)

Very hospitable welcome, the menu is limited - but that is not a problem if you like German cuisine. Very nice owner who makes the dishes himself, his wood carvings and decoration of the restaurant are worth the visit.

An unserem Urlaub angekommen sind wir in die Gaststätte und waren positiv überrascht, das Essen war gut. Es ist die etwas andere Gaststätte mit viel Schnickschnack zum anschauen. Allerdings wollten wir heute bei unserem Abendspaziergang (ca 30 min vom Strickerhof) einkehren um etwas zu trinken da wurden wir vom Wirt abgewiesen obwohl noch Platz bei einem Gast am Tisch auf der Terrasse war und es ihm nichts ausmachte, aber der Wirt meinte nur „die Küche schafft das nicht“! Schon traurig das man nicht mal gefragt wird ob man etwas trinken möchte. Nicht gerade sehr gastfreundlich. Wir sind noch 5 Tage hier und werden dort nicht mehr reingehen!!!!

Kleines uriges Gasthaus mit sehr netten Wirtsleuten. Die Speisen sind einfach aber sehr lecker.

Das Gasthaus Waldhorn ist ein gemütliches Gasthaus. Einfache aber gut schmeckende Küche. Der Wirt ist freundlich, das Gasthaus ist ideal als Stopp während einer Wanderung.

Wir waren dort und waren total begeistert. Das Restaurant war schön eingerichtet, der Wirt super nett und die Portionen sind so gut das alle satt wurden und sogar noch was übrig blieb. Wir kommen wieder.

Definitely a hidden gem as others have said. Honestly one of the best schnitzels I've ever had. Small menu but everything is amazing. Doesn't come across as a restaurant from the front, but the back is a unique environment with French fry loving chickens and a small garden train. Really an amazing place and highly recommend.

Sehr gutes Essen zu günstigen Preise. Sehr nette und zuvorkommende Wirtsleute. Sehr gemütliche und ruhige Atmosphäre in der Wirtschaft und auch im Garten. Wir kommen immer wieder gerne. Im Waldhorn fühlt man sich einfach wohl.

Waren heute das erste mal im Waldhorn, es hat uns sehr gut gefallen. Das Essen war sehr lecker und die Portionen waren mehr als ausreichend. Der Service war sehr freundlich, hilfsbereit und herzlich. Der Preis war unschlagbar günstig.

Mittagstisch, Vesper, gemütlich! Klein aber Fein - auf jeden Fall einen Besuch wert!

Gemütliches und uriges Restaurant mit einem Wirt, der mit Herz und Seele dabei ist. Sowohl Innen als auch Außen kann man jede Menge Deko bestaunen. Die Portionen sind groß und sehr lecker. Eine besondere Empfehlung ist der Birnen-Honig-Schnaps! Wir werden bestimmt wiederkommen.

Es gibt wunderbare Schnitzel mit tollen Pommes & Soßen. Man hat ein tolles Ambiente im Biergarten oder ein etwas spezielles Gebäude, wo man trotzdem toll sitzt. Die Preise sind günstig, ein Schnitzel mit Pommes kostet circa 10 Euro.

Sehr ubriges Lokal mit tollem Außenbereich. Die Speisen sind sehr lecker und reichlich. Das Wirtsehepaar ist sehr freundlich und vor allem sehr Kinderfreundlich. Wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder.

Das Personal sehr nett, Essen mega lecker waren heute das erste mal da und werden auf jedenfall wieder kommen Preise schwer in Ordnung.

Hidden gem for sure. Finding the restaurant was only possible with GPS. Lovely owner who's beyond proud on his establishment. Do note that the menu options are limited but this is due to the fact that the owners have started the restaurant out of passion and for nothing else. The food itself is of high quality and the portions are big. It's a budget friendly place to go to. Make sure to be in before 19.00h. The kitchen closes early. Waldhorn is well worth the detour!
