Gutes Essen, angemessene Preise und eine sehr nette Bedienung

Die Location ist wirklich unschlagbar, viel Natur und frische Luft. Das Essen hat uns allen nicht geschmeckt, die Bratkartoffeln ungesalzen, Schnitzel und Zwiebeln frittiert statt gebraten. Ich hatte das Gefühl ich hätte Sand im Mund. Also zum Essen kommen wir sicher nicht mehr hierher.

Richtig schöne Atmosphäre. Die Naturverbundenheit, der Turm alles perfekt. Besonders positiv überrascht bin ich über das Personal! Sehr freundliche Bedienung, da kann ich nur einen großen Lob aussprechen!!!

Das Essen war super lecker – man merkt sofort, dass alles selbstgemacht und mit viel Liebe zubereitet wird. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Besonders schön ist die einzigartige Aussicht über ganz Hagen vom Turm aus. Das historische und antike Ambiente macht das Restaurant zu etwas ganz Besonderem. Außerdem ist es sehr kinderfreundlich. Klare Empfehlung!

Wir waren mit einer Wandergruppe dort. Geparkt haben wir auf dem Parkplatz der Gaststätte. Von der Inhaberin wurden wir sehr unfreundlich darauf hingewiesen, dass wir doch besser auf dem hinteren Teil des Parkplatzes parken sollten. Dazu folgende Anmerkungen: Es war nicht ersichtlich, dass man dort auch parken kann. Ein entsprechendes Schild fehlt und die dort wachsenden Pflanzen waren ca. 40 cm groß. Die beiden weiblichen Angestellten im Restaurant waren nett. Die Bedienung mit Essen und Getränken lief reibungslos. Es wird eine Speisekarte, aber keine Getränkekarte, überreicht. Eine Kartenzahlung ist nicht möglich. Teilweise werden Speisen angeboten, ohne den Preis auszuzeichnen. Das Lokal hat eine sehr schöne Lage. Beim Essen nur 3 Sterne, da meine Suppe versalzen war.

Viele Möglichkeiten, hier wirklich weit nach oben zu kommen. Die Bemühungen sind definitiv erkennbar, aber es gibt aktuell noch sehr viel Luft nach oben. Die Currywurst war leider leicht verbrannt, die Bedienung insgesamt eher langsam und stellenweise nicht besonders aufmerksam. Man hatte teilweise das Gefühl, dass der Service noch deutlich strukturierter und gastorientierter werden könnte. Der Ort selbst hingegen ist wirklich schön. Die Lage mitten im Wald sorgt für eine tolle Atmosphäre und echte Erholung. Gerade die Ruhe, die Natur und das gesamte Umfeld machen den Besuch trotzdem angenehm. Mit etwas mehr Fokus auf Qualität und Service könnte daraus wirklich eine richtig starke Location werden.

Wir waren in der Waldgaststätte Kaiser-Friedrich-Turm in Hagen und insgesamt hat es uns sehr gut gefallen. Die Lage ist wirklich schön und das Ambiente lädt zum Verweilen ein. Ein paar Verbesserungsvorschläge hätten wir allerdings: Es wäre hilfreich, wenn es eine separate Getränkekarte gäbe oder zumindest eine übersichtliche Auflistung der Getränke in der Speisekarte. Das würde die Auswahl deutlich angenehmer machen. Außerdem ist uns aufgefallen, dass gegen 18:00 Uhr bereits eine gewisse „Feierabend-Stimmung“ im Service herrschte. Es wirkte so, als würde man den Abend schnell beenden wollen, obwohl das Lokal offiziell bis 20:00 Uhr geöffnet hat. Das hat den Gesamteindruck leider etwas getrübt. Trotzdem ein schöner Ort, den wir grundsätzlich weiterempfehlen können.

Einfach nur unfreundlich, nicht besonders einladend und sauber. Das Personal ist echt eine Zumutung. Wir werden dort nicht mehr hingehen!

Eine so unfreunliche Bedienung(älter,blonde Haare und weißer Kittel ) habe ich noch nie erlebt. Wir wurden unfreundlich vom Turm vertrieben weil wir eine kurze Pause eingelegt haben. Wir hatte kurz vor 11 da es im Lokal noch sehr ausladend aussah beschlossen wir am Turm zu warten bis wir mit unserer Gruppe dort etwas trinken/essen wollten. Dazu kam es aber nicht weil uns nach dieser unfreundlichen Ansprache die Lust auf das lokal vergangen ist. Nein danke

Gastfreundschaft sieht anders aus – Einmal und nie wieder! Eigentlich wollten wir unsere Wanderung mit einer schönen Einkehr in diesem Lokal krönen, doch was wir hier an menschlicher Kälte und Aggressivität erlebt haben, ist für einen Gastronomiebetrieb auf einer beliebten Wanderroute absolut unbegreiflich. Der Vorfall: Wir erreichten das Lokal ca. 10 Minuten vor der offiziellen Öffnung. Obwohl sich das Personal bereits im Außenbereich aufhielt, wurden wir komplett ignoriert. Da wir niemanden stören wollten, ließen wir uns auf einer Mauer vor dem Lokal nieder, um die kurze Wartezeit zu überbrücken. Wir kommunizierten laut und deutlich, dass wir lediglich auf die Ladenöffnung warten, um dann bei ihnen einzukehren. In der Zwischenzeit öffneten wir ein mitgebrachtes Getränk und aßen eine Kleinigkeit an Obst. Das Verhalten des Personals/der Führung: Nach weniger als fünf Minuten kam eine Dame aus dem Lokal (mutmaßlich die Inhaberin), um den Aussichtsturm aufzusperren. Anstatt einer Begrüßung oder eines freundlichen Hinweises wurden wir sofort in einem völlig unangebrachten und herrischen Ton auf das Verbot von mitgebrachten Lebensmitteln hingewiesen. Selbst auf unsere sachliche Erklärung, dass wir nur auf die Öffnung ihres Lokals warten, reagierte die Dame zunehmend aggressiv. Obwohl ich bereits alles weggepackt hatte, wurde ich erneut in einem belehrenden Ton angegangen, ob ich denn nun "endlich einpacken würde". Auf meine berechtigte Rückfrage, ob sie unter zeitlichem Stress stünde, drehte sie uns nur noch den Rücken zu und entfernte sich, ohne das Gespräch zu suchen oder die Situation zu klären. Fazit: Ob es sich um die Besitzerin oder eine völlig überforderte Mitarbeiterin handelte, spielt am Ende keine Rolle: Wer Gäste schon vor der Eröffnung mit einer derartigen schlechten Laune und Aggressivität "begrüßt", hat offenbar kein Interesse an Umsatz oder zufriedenen Kunden. Unsere gesamte Gruppe war schockiert über diese maximal überzogene Art der Ansprache. Wir haben das Lokal daraufhin sofort verlassen und werden definitiv nie wiederkehren. Wanderern, die Wert auf einen freundlichen Umgangston legen, können wir nur raten: Sucht euch lieber eine andere Einkehrmöglichkeit – hier ist der Gast scheinbar nur ein Störfaktor.

Eigentlich bin ich kein großer Freund von Rezensionen. Wir posten unser Essen auch nicht und machen keine Fotos für Social Media – ich möchten einfach in schöner Atmosphäre entspannen und nach einer Wanderung den Tag genießen. Genau das kann ich hier seit Jahren: immer wieder gerne, und immer wieder gut. Hier bekommt man noch richtig etwas auf die Gabel – ehrliche, authentische Küche mit herzhaftem Charakter. Seit vielen Jahren kehre ich regelmäßig ein und wurde stets freundlich bedient, selbst an hektischen Tagen. Deshalb kann ich einige der negativen Rezensionen wirklich nicht nachvollziehen. Man kann sich gut vorstellen, wie ermüdend es sein muss, täglich 15–20 Mal erklären zu müssen, dass mitgebrachte Speisen und Getränke nicht erwünscht oder erlaubt sind. Die Schilder sind vorhanden – wenn man sie nicht beachtet, muss man sich fragen, bei wem das Problem liegt. Gleiches gilt für Personen, die trotz Beschilderung nicht absteigen möchten. Schilder zu lesen scheint wohl eine besondere Herausforderung zu sein. Ich kenne jedenfalls kein einziges Lokal, in dem es erlaubt oder sogar willkommen ist, eigene Speisen und Getränke mitzubringen. Interessant ist, dass solche Personen dann oft auch noch negative Bewertungen schreiben. Umso erfreulicher ist es, dass der überwiegende Teil offenbar positiv eingestellt ist und die Regeln respektiert. Natürlich ist Höflichkeit immer wichtig. Aber nach der zwanzigsten Erklärung am Tag kann auch mal etwas untergehen das ist menschlich und passiert überall. ich komme jedenfalls weiterhin gerne und regelmäßig, weil ich mich wohlfühle und die Regeln respektiere. Und ja – auch hier kann mal etwas schiefgehen, aber wo passiert das nicht? Dass inzwischen sogar Kartenzahlung angeboten wird, finden wir eine tolle Ergänzung. Auch wenn wir selbst eher altmodisch sind und gern Bargeld dabeihaben – aber das nur am Rande.

Immer wieder schön, hier einzugehen.

Wir sind dort nach unserem Spaziergang eingekehrt. Nette freundliche Bedienung ,2 Waffeln mit Kirschen Eis und Sahne und 2 Cappuccino. Sehr lecker und appetitlich angerichtet.....kriegt kaum jemand hin 🙄 Beim nächsten Mal gerne wieder.

Ich war in der Waldgaststätte Kaiser-Friedrich-Turm an einem Tag, an dem es voll war. Trotzdem war das Personal sehr freundlich und aufmerksam und hat alles gut organisiert. Das Essen hat wegen der vielen Gäste etwas gedauert, was aber absolut verständlich war. Dafür war alles sehr lecker – besonders das Kellerbier und die frischen Waffeln mit heißen Kirschen und Eis waren einfach top. Schon jetzt Anfang März ist die große Terrasse geöffnet und bietet viele Sitzmöglichkeiten. Man merkt, dass hier alles gut vorbereitet ist für die kommende Saison Sehr empfehlenswert !!! 👍

Service Unterirdisch, Übervorderung pur. Essen vergessen. Überzogene Preise. Kartenzahlung erst ab 10€ . Essen so lala. Im großen und ganzen verbesserungswürdig.

Haben hier nur was getrunken. Im Restaurant riecht es wie in einer alten Kneipe nach Zigarettenrauch. Im Biergarten sitzen ist bestimmt schön.

Eine Waldgaststätte, die es nicht mehr so häufig in NRW gibt. Sehr nette, zügige und freundliche Bedienung. Speisen sehr schmackhaft und mehr als ausreichend. Es gibt auch Angebot für Senioren. Immer wieder !!!!

Sehr unfreundlich es Personal, welches kein Verständnis für Wandergruppen hat die auf der Wise pause machen wollen. Sie wollten 5€ Tellergeld dafür, dass wir da Pause machen. Außerdem ergibt hinweisen auf nicht vorhandene schilder keinen Sinn.

Für das Essen gibt es ein Stern weniger weil die Pommes, Sauce und das Schnitzel sehr salzig waren. Alles andere war super, sehr nette Bewirtung. Wir kommen gerne wieder. Wir haben unsere Weihnachtsfeier von der Firma aus hier gehabt.

Ich finde die negativen Bewertungen hier eine Frechheit. Kann sich einer vorstellen wie lästig es ist, jeden Tag seit Jahren mehrere Leute auf Schilder hinzuweisen? Warum sollte es selbstverständlich sein mit dem Fahrrad über ein Privatgelände fahren zu dürfen? Warum sollte es selbstverständlich sein auf einer privaten Wiese picknicken zu dürfen? Nicht jeder räumt danach seinen Dreck weg und es hinterlässt kaputte Stellen in der Wiese, die gepflegt werden muss. Warum sollte es selbstverständlich sein sich mit eigenen Speisen in eine Gaststätte zu setzen? Tut man ja in anderen Restaurants auch nicht. Ja, nach einer Wandertour möchte man eine Pause machen, dafür gibt es im anliegenden Wald genug Möglichkeiten. Eine Gaststätte ist zu bezahlen. Und sich darüber zu beschweren, dass um kurz nach 11 niemand antwortet, wenn die Gaststätte erst um 12 aufmacht, ist auch ziemlich ignorant. Viele Leute heutzutage vergessen sich mal zu informieren und Regeln einzuhalten, stattdessen will man egoistisch machen was man will und beschwert sich noch darüber, dass man dann entsprechend angesprochen wird. Ich bin selber gerne Gast oben und wurde noch nie unfreundlich behandelt. Ich halte mich aber auch respektvoll an die nachvollziehbaren Regeln. #Selbstreflexion

Nicht einladend Waren heute um kurz nach 11 Uhr da und wollten eine Kaffeepause auf unserer kleinen Wanderung machen. Sind trotz das es von außen überhaupt nicht einladend aussah rein …. Und siehe NICHTS!!! Wir standen ganz alleine im Gastraum, trotz mehrmaligen Guten Morgen, Hallo usw niemand da… somit sind wir wieder gegangen. Wir sind davon ausgegangen das ab 11 Uhr mit Gästen gerechnet wird , wohl nicht. Des Weiteren sollte da zeitnah mal renoviert werden, innen wie außen. Speisen können wir nicht bewerten.

A perfect stopover on the Three Towers Trail! The forest restaurant at the Kaiser Friedrich Tower is idyllically situated, has a lovely terrace under large parasols, and offers just the right refreshment after a hike. The service was friendly, the prices were absolutely fair, and the atmosphere was very relaxed. A place where you'll enjoy taking a break and recharging your batteries.

I was there with my son and daughter. My daughter had a Russian plaited cake. My son and I had a waffle with ice cream and whipped cream. The food was fresh and delicious. The service was very friendly and the ambiance was rustic and clean. The restrooms were surprisingly clean, which I wouldn't have expected. The location is, of course, superbly situated in the forest, accessible by car, surrounded by nature, right next to the Kaiser Friedrich Tower. The view was beautiful!

Cash only. The wheat beer is good but pricey. A nice place to relax.

We spontaneously stopped by yesterday and were served very well. We had Jägerschnitzel and were very satisfied! It's beautifully quiet and surrounded by nature.

Ice cream was only available in a cone. 🙁 And that was in 35-degree heat.

Disappointing Experience – No Understanding for Tourists We were part of an organized hiking group and passed by the Kaiser Friedrich Tower – a well-known landmark in Hagen. The Waldgaststätte restaurant is located right next door. We simply wanted to take a short break and eat some snacks we'd brought with us outside without disturbing the restaurant. But we were forbidden to do so – the staff even forbade us from sitting down near the restaurant in an unfriendly manner. This behavior was very off-putting and completely incomprehensible for a tourist destination. Especially in Germany – where tourism is encouraged and service should be a top priority – this kind of treatment of visitors is disappointing. It's apparently less about hospitality and more about only paying guests being "welcome." We were left with a very negative impression. This experience doesn't fit the image of a hospitable tourist destination.

Beautiful beer garden in a beautiful setting. Unfortunately, everything is quite dated. You get the impression that the owners are no longer interested. They need a breath of fresh air. And having customers pay for hygiene measures... Seems a bit off-putting. These are difficult times. Let's hope things get better. Addendum: Had to remove a star! Food too salty, gypsy sauce overcooked, no response to the review! What a shame!

Here you'll find delicious homemade food. In a very beautiful, peaceful setting, it's the perfect place to stop after a strenuous hike. Whether you're looking for beer, hearty food, or sweet treats, there's something for everyone. The staff is very friendly. I'll definitely be back!

Very unfriendly. We just wanted to take a short break and were asked to pay €5 per person. That would have been about €100 for the plate charge. Just for sitting on the lawn behind the tower, which was 80 meters from the restaurant. We only had a few snacks with us and wanted to take a short break in the heat. We were turned away. It was a disgrace!

Very unfriendly towards hikers and completely unsympathetic to youth groups. They charged a €5 stay fee.

We were a small, quiet group of Boy Scouts walking along the 3 Towers Trail and wanted to take a short break on a meadow at the edge of the restaurant's grounds – far away from the restaurant's business, without blocking any tables or paths. We behaved quietly and respectfully. Unfortunately, we were spoken to very harshly and practically sent away. We were told we had to pay €5 each for the plate charge because we weren't allowed to simply sit down – even though we were just sitting on the lawn and hadn't claimed any of the restaurant's services. The tone was particularly disappointing: snippy, unfriendly, and completely unwilling to engage in conversation. Of course, we understand that restaurants have clear rules and must be economical – but polite behavior would have been absolutely appropriate. A friendly explanation would have sufficed. Unfortunately, we remember the place for its inappropriate behavior, not for its surroundings.

Unfortunately, the staff was very unfriendly and showed no understanding for youth groups. They even charged a €5 plate fee for a short break. Furthermore, the tone they used toward our group was completely inappropriate.

Friendly service and very child-friendly. A lovely atmosphere with a beer garden feel and delicious German cuisine. We'll be back!

My hiking group was turned away from the meadow by the tower during a short rest in 30°C heat, with the choice: either walk or pay €5 per person to sit on the meadow behind the tower and eat our light snacks (cucumbers, apples, cookies). There were no signs indicating that we weren't allowed to sit on the meadow, let alone that it was part of the restaurant. They could have been a little more polite about that – we left immediately at the first request. Getting upset about the fact that the 20 disgruntled people weren't satisfied with the "service" provided, and expressing this, demonstrates, in my opinion, that it was definitely the right decision not to pay a total of over €100 for a spot on the meadow without service. I've also heard from friends who waited over half an hour for a waffle. The saying "the customer is always right" seems to be written with a capital "C" here.

After a hike I was happy about a delicious salad. When it arrived it looked damn tasty anyway. When both tomatoes had moldy bruises and there were hairs in my salad, the mood was a bit dampened. I still ate the salad!!, except for sorting out the tomatoes and hair. Other guests might have let him go back immediately. To be friendly, my partner went into the restaurant where there were no guests and mentioned this. Then they just said stupidly: “I’ll pass it on to the kitchen”. No apologies, no discounts, no coffee on the house. Sorry, we were with you last time!!

The atmosphere is very cozy. The food is delicious, and the staff is super friendly. One or two vegetarian dishes would be welcome.

Quaint restaurant at the foot of the tower of the same name, in the middle of the forest. First of all: there is NO card payment. The menu is very traditional, with hearty home cooking. The quality and prices are okay. The service is friendly and I wish the owners enough strength to continue like this. The only drawback: the cleanliness of the tables leaves something to be desired and the furniture is very old.

Everything is in control! Service was super nice and attentive. Very tasty food with large portions. Reasonable prices. Nice ambience. Great surroundings, wonderful in nature. Axo children and dogs are also always welcome. Everything great. Thank you 😊

A nice place to stay and enjoy delicious food! Rather unsuitable for children as there is no playground or equipment. But if you can bring outdoor games with you, it's worth going to the inviting meadow! No card payment possible!

The Waldgaststätte Kaiser-Friedrich-Turm is a restaurant that, from the outside, is probably past its best. Nevertheless, the restaurant is able to serve good food. The staff and service is friendly. There are various dishes on offer that can satisfy everyone. However, the prices are more in the upper segment. The reasons: The tenant is also getting on in years and has probably leased the restaurant from the city of Hagen. They, in turn, do not care about replacing the completely outdated playground equipment. Due to the weather and the low number of visitors, the restaurant is closed two days a week. A unique selling point is very difficult to achieve due to the location. Despite the circumstances and precisely because of them, it is difficult to set prices differently. The food served is good and worth the money. Redesigning dishes is also no problem. The restaurant can be reached by car, but only locals know that, as the other paths are forest roads and are partially closed. But despite all the adversities, this restaurant has charm and offers good opportunities to stop off there on nice days. A great destination for hikers. If you use a navigation system, you should enter “Am Kettelbach” as your intermediate destination and Waldgaststätte Kaiser-Friedrich-Turm as your final destination. The route is a little longer, but you can get up to the parking lot without any problems. It is also important to check when the towers are open. The view from there offers a good overview of the region. As far as people with disabilities are concerned, people with limited mobility can use the restaurant without any problems. They will need help from the parking lot to the restaurant. Anyone who is completely immobile will need intensive help because the doors to the toilets are not wide enough for electric wheelchairs.

We were there on Tuesday afternoon with 13 people after a hike. There was only one person for the kitchen and one for the service. Of course, this was noticeable in places. We actually ended up with one too many dishes on the table. The tone was a bit rough, but honest and the service was generally very committed. The menu is very manageable, but everything was plentiful and tasty and quick and ready at the same time! The location in the forest and directly at the tower is a good location for a hike. Attention: no card payment possible. Prices were very fair.

The location is beautiful, with the Kaiser Friedrich Tower from which you can enjoy an outstanding view - that enhances the stay. The 5* for the ambience refers to the location and the beer garden! About the gastronomy: The service is ok, nothing more and nothing less. The drinks are reasonably priced. We were extremely disappointed with the food, the price-performance ratio simply doesn't fit here. 20 € for a schnitzel with fries and salad is generally ok, but then it has to sit well. The Jäger sauce was really not good, Champions from a can and the sauce was also straight out of the bag, the fat was running out of the schnitzel (probably frozen) and the fries were actually too salty (and compared to many friends, I eat very salty !!). The tomato soup for €7 was good 👍! There was nothing wrong with that. There wasn't really anything on the menu for the 3 year old child, so we ordered a fries and currywurst for €10.90. Like every child, he loves fries, but he didn't eat them (too salty). Mom and Dad were also allowed to share the sausage; he preferred to eat dry crispbread. €37.80 for the meal is far too much for the quality. €12.40 for a wheat, a small apple spritzer and a small shandy is ok. It's a shame, there's more!

Very idyllic restaurant located right next to the tower. Quite modern but comfortably furnished. Fun-loving innkeeper. Nice service. Coffee and cake delicious. Other dishes looked very good (haven't eaten anything yet)

Great atmosphere, very nice staff, the area is great for hiking. Only the schnitzel was a bit salty, but otherwise the food was very tasty and the portions were large enough, appropriate for the price. We'd love to come back.

A restaurant in the middle of the forest.

We were there today with a hiking group of 13 and unfortunately it wasn't a nice experience. While we were waiting for the condition, some of our group unpacked their provisions (at this point we should admit that you should actually know that you don't do this in a restaurant!) and a lady, presumably the manager, promptly came and shared in the tone of a sergeant, that it was a restaurant and that you were not allowed to consume food or drinks that you had brought with you. Here the sound makes the music and it was very bad music. The lady who served us was friendly, but apparently she didn't even know the difference between a naturally cloudy apple spritzer and a normal apple spritzer, because she stated that the spritzer was naturally cloudy. When I went in shortly after ordering the drink to choose a piece of cake, I saw on a tray that it was clear apple spritzer and ordered an iced coffee instead. Unfortunately, when the drink order came, something was missing and there was a black hair in my iced coffee (I'm dark blonde). I was then served a new one. In general the waitresses seemed very clumsy. After paying, some climbed the tower and one individual sat in front of the tower and took out his provisions again. The lady from the beginning was there again promptly and informed him that you were not allowed to consume any food or drinks you had brought with you anywhere on the premises... This way you can scare away your guests in the long term. The cake should be positively highlighted, it was very good and the toilet paper was at least three layers and not recycled.

The ambience is great. Food is not of good quality, unfortunately, prices are excessive. There was hardly any tuna in the tuna salad. Didn't get an invoice. It's a shame, more could be done with it.

It's good that this restaurant still exists!!!After a leisurely hike, if you're patient, you can have a good meal and relax. The employees try their hardest. Everything was fresh and the beer was great on tap. Looking forward to the next time.

The surroundings are very beautiful. You can go for a walk or hike. The restaurant is in an idyllic location in the middle of the forest. Inside you have the feeling that time has stood still. Everything is harmoniously coordinated. From the top of the tower you have a great view when the weather is good. However, there are a lot of steps to get to the top. But the climb is definitely worth it. By the way, it costs 50 cents. Which I think is fine. I had a waffle with 1 scoop of vanilla ice cream, cream and strawberries. Everything was appetizingly arranged in small bowls on a platter. Unfortunately the cream wasn't really stiff, there were crystals in the ice cream and the strawberries were cut into pieces that were way too small, some of them were mushy with way too much sugar and there were still a few green leaves from the strawberry stem between the strawberries. I wouldn't order it a second time now. The staff was friendly and reserved.

We visited your restaurant on 6/23/24 with a group of about 13 hikers. At first glance, the restaurant itself makes a nice, cozy impression. Unfortunately we were very disappointed with your service and the atmosphere. 10 of us wanted to have a drink while the other 7 just wanted to rest. Unfortunately, they couldn't eat anything because they don't offer card payment. Although there were enough free seats inside and outside the restaurant, those who could not eat anything were not allowed to sit. The staff was unfriendly and unwilling to find a solution to our problem. We are very disappointed and will not recommend your restaurant. We also had to pay to use the toilet, even though we wanted to order something. Unfortunately our visit to your restaurant was a very negative experience. We hope that you will take our criticism seriously and make improvements.

No price information for special items on offer...Then the price is excessive....

We sat there for 45 minutes and waited for service. This came past us several times but didn't serve us. Tables right next to us, where customers sat down 30 minutes after we arrived, were served immediately and also received drinks immediately. After waiting for 45 minutes, we got up without anything to eat or drink and drove somewhere else. It's a shame and the wasted time.

We landed there after a hike and were very well looked after. We recommend.

Very friendly service, delicious food, non-alcoholic wheat nice and cool, relaxed stay, really retro inside. I like this! A restaurant like in my childhood.

It's a beautiful atmosphere, great service and there are really delicious homemade waffles that I can only recommend..

I was thrilled for the third time now. The ambience is from my youth and so is the taste of the food. Simply delicious!!! We'll come back, again and again.

Good food, very good view from the tower

Today we were with a large group after a long hike on the grounds of the forest restaurant. We were waiting for the last hikers and wanted to discuss stopping there, but unfortunately that didn't happen. One or two women of us had already sat down and (we should have known better) unpacked a sandwich. A “very friendly” lady came out of the restaurant and pointed out the rules. This brought some dissatisfaction into the group of 20 people. After the second kick-off we left the area. Unfortunately, the following cyclist also had to suffer from the mood of the likely owner because he had not read the site regulations before entering the area. In addition, there were no other visitors on site at this time. A pity!

Very very expensive, but otherwise good

After a strenuous mountain bike trip through the forests, we stopped at this restaurant for some refreshment. Super rustic atmosphere, very nice service and one of the tastiest fries in a long time give this inn its own charm. Simply great! The visit rounded off the whole day again 👍🏼

Everything is great, Alles ist wundervoll

A nice place to take a break after a wonderful hike. With delicious waffles. The service employee was friendly, approachable and quick. The furnishings are a bit old, but comfortable. Unfortunately, EC payment is not possible, so remember to pay in cash. The small tower next door can be visited for 0.50 cents. And the view is breathtakingly beautiful. However, only 2 people should go up at the same time, as a sign at the bottom says.

The joy of a nice cold beer after a nice walk was immediately ruined with the first sip when I felt the big, thirsty pull and how warm and phlegm suddenly ran down my throat. I felt incredibly sorry for the beer but I couldn't finish our refreshing liaison and leave it alone and unfinished.

Very rustic, but the service is super friendly and the food is also very good.

Sehr leckeren selbstgemachten Apfelkuchen

Das Restaurant liegt mitten im Wald. Schönes Ziel auf der Wanderung. Anfahrt ist aber auch mit dem Auto möglich. Die Gerichte sind sehr lecker und das Personal sehr freundlich. Es gibt draußen viele Tische. Ein richtiger Biergarten.

Jedes Mal wie ein Tag Urlaub! :-)

Alles super..direkt beim Turm und sehr lecker.. spazieren hier absolutes muss..

Die Lage sehr schön, der Service freundlich und zügig. Das Essen ist in Ordnung.

Ich war hier noch nie drin, kann also nichts zu dem Restaurant sagen. Wer in den Turm will, soll allerdings wissen, dass hier ein Schlitzkasten aufgestellt ist, der 50 Cent fordert. Ich würde daher empfehlen zur Wanderung ein paar alte Knöpfe mitzunehmen.

Zwischen Hagen und Breckerfeld idyllisch im Wald gelegen findet man die Gaststätte. Leider lässt die Beschilderung dorthin sehr zu wünschen übrig.Von der "Hauptstrasse"weist kein Schild auf den Zufahrtsweg hin.Wir haben die Zufahrt nur mit Hilfe von" Eingeborenen" gefunden. Ist man endlich fündig geworden,fühlt man sich gleich wohl.Diese Gaststätte erstrahlt immer noch im Glanz einer fast schon vergessenen Zeit der gemütlichen Ausflugsgaststätten. Ein großer Biergarten lädt zum Verweilen ein. Bei schlechtem Wetter findet man in den Innenräumen genügend Platz um die Köstlichkeiten zu genießen,die die Küche bietet. Zu bewundern sind auch die liebevoll zusammengetragenden Accessoires, die in einer Lokalität früher gebraucht wurden. Zum Lokal gehört der Kaiser-Friedrich-Turm,der Namensgeber der Gaststätte. Er ist begehbar und bietet eine schöne Aussicht. Erreichen kann man Waldgaststätte auch über verschiedene Wanderwege.

Der Service war sehr gut, schnell und freundlich. Der Kaffee war ausgezeichnet. Wir hätten auch gerne etwas gegessen, hatten aber nicht genug Bargeld dabei und Kartenzahlung ist da leider immer noch nicht möglich. Die Kuchen sahen großartig aus!

Eine der schönsten Waldgaststätten der Region. Sehr gutes Essen, ein liebevoll mit Antiquitäten dekorierter Gastraum, Biergarten, Aussichtsturm mit herrlicher Fernsicht und eine herzliche und aufmerksame Bedienung, wie man sie selten findet. Ein herzliches Dankeschön an Anna, wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder!

Wir hatten Kaffee und Kuchen, war lecker. Werden demnächst mal zum Mittagessen kommen.

Geschlossen am Donnerstag... Traurig 😢
