Ich fand es klasse. Die Qualität der Speisen war ausnehmend gut, es war stilvoll angerichtet und die Atmosphäre war sehr gemütlich.

Immer gleichbleibend gute Qualität seit Jahren! Hier kocht eine echte Spanierin! Ihr Mann im Service ein Berliner Urgestein, die einen sagen launisch, ich sage authentisch :) Vorallem herzlich wenn man sich kennt! Wer hochwertige Tapas und guten Wein mag, ist hier genau richtig! Im Sommer gibt es auch Plätze im Freien im gemütlichen Innenhof! Klare Empfehlung! Ein Lokal, dass in Berlin Mitte nicht fehlen darf!

Sie waren sehr herzlich und unglaublich nett! Das Essen war fantastisch und eindeutig authentisch. Ich war begeistert vom Jamón und allem, was wir probiert haben, bis hin zu den Desserts. Wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder.

Sehr leckere Tapas und toller Service. Wenn wir in Berlin sind und in der Nähe des Hbfs übernachten, werden wir auf jeden Fall wieder dort essen gehen.

Freundlicher Service geht anders. Die Begrüßung und Tischzuweisung war sehr wortkarg, der Inhaber wirkte sehr unfreundlich und war nicht sehr aufmerksam. Die Tapas waren ok, mehr nicht, und viel teurer als in der Karte auf der Website angegeben. Garantiert nicht wieder.

Die Portionen sind wirklich winzig, teuer und geschmacklos. Der Service war allerdings gut und freundlich. Leider ist das Lokal auch sehr klein, und es ist wirklich schwierig, Oktopus und andere Meeresfrüchte so schlecht zuzubereiten. Die Portionen sind zwar nur für einen kleinen Happen gedacht, aber im Vergleich zu anderen Tapas-Restaurants in der Stadt leider sehr teuer. Daher kann ich das Lokal leider nicht empfehlen, da ich danach noch woanders essen gegangen bin. Der Wein war aber gut.

Yesterday, after a fantastic performance of "Ursonate" at the Deutsches Theater, we discovered this restaurant. Even though the kitchen was about to close, we still received a warm meal. Fresh, delicious grilled squid and small baked sardines. Accompanied by a truly delicious rosé wine, served at just the right temperature. We felt like we were on vacation in Spain. Thank you for this wonderful evening, we'll be back.💐

After crossing Berlin to eat at this restaurant, we were served by two obviously non-Spanish people, who told us they only had one dish on offer: meatballs with tomato sauce. No tapas at all, in a restaurant that has the word "albondigas" in its name. Tapas were only served on certain nights; we didn't eat meat, and of course, with only one option, we had to leave. In addition to the cold and rude treatment in a nearly empty restaurant. All this after sending two emails in one week about the fact that I had booked on a special date, a fifth anniversary with my Spanish partner, with a special request about the possibility of putting a candle on a dessert, I received no response. Disappointing is an understatement.

The food was very tasty. However, we had to wait a very long time for our dishes.

We've tried a lot of tapas, but for us the best tapas we've eaten so far. Small cute shop, good portions and very friendly owner. When we are in Berlin we will definitely come back!

We cannot understand the criticism from some predecessors. In a beautiful and cozy atmosphere you can dine on wonderful tapas, all of which were very tasty and some exceptional (e.g. the Albondingas in a white wine sauce (!)). The service from the two gentlemen was also friendly and good. Nothing works here without a reservation, which also speaks for the store. Thanks for a nice evening!

Nice little Spanish restaurant, delicious tapas, friendly service, clear recommendation

We came here because of the great reviews, but our experience was disappointing. The service from the waiter was fine, but the owner was completely drunk and reeked out of his mouth. He made us wait on menus and service for almost ten minutes while doing shots with his friends. Food like bread and olives were fine, hard to mess up. But the 'sashimi' quality tuna (18 euros) was overcooked and had nothing raw in it anymore. The pinchos were also dried out and burnt, and we hadn't eaten a bite from this. The waiter never asked once if the food was okay, but on the other hand, I understand with a boss like that. It was disappointing altogether, especially with those reviews and prices!

Food mediocre. Atmosphere OK. But the staff, especially the owner, very rude, unprofessional in reception, greeting guests. This ultimately ruins the whole experience. Too bad.

Very friendly service, good food, good selection of drinks. However, the seating is very cramped and having to snake through is definitely annoying for the employees in the long run.

Great tapas in a great cozy atmosphere.

The service and empathy of Francisco and Micha were absolutely stunning. We had a great time and the food was delicious. Most probably the best and most authentic Spanish tapas flavours in Berlin. Totally 100% recommended

After a short while we decided not to eat there. Glasses not clean, employees sneeze into the room, address when entering is unfriendly.

This place reconciled me with tapas. It can be a gastronomic experience, and it is at Volver. Great including desserts, especially the pistachio cheesecake. Amazing wines. Homely atmosphere. Not on the cheap side, but if you want quality you pay for quality. Great spot for dates or reunions.

A small, romantic and very cozy restaurant that we almost walked past. Thank God not, because we ate very, very tasty tapas here and had a wonderful evening. Here you can tell that the team cooks everything fresh and from scratch with heart and passion. No question for us - when we come back to Berlin, the Volver will be at the top of our to-do list! Very appealing ambience...bar style and still a cozy atmosphere. Friendly service and great food...freshly prepared and delicious 😋. A reservation is recommended (luckily we had one)... at 7 p.m. everything was full😉 Would love to come back...

Highly Recommended. Prices are a bit high, but you can benefit from the really good quality of the food and service. Both in terms of the ambience and the preparation of the food, it is a very popular destination for all kinds of occasions. We have a particular fondness for the bread with the garlic mayonnaise and the bacon-wrapped dates.

Konzept ist traditionelle Tapa-Küche, sehr (Schweine)fleischlastig, kaum vegetarische Auswahl, keinerlei kreative leichte Gerichte. Ensalada Rusa geschmacksneutral, Papas Arrugadas sind simple Pellkartoffeln ohne klassische Salzkruste, die Mojos erweisen sich als fader Avocadobrei und Rote Sosse mit extrem aufdringlichem Cuminaroma, Knofi-Majo wie aus der Tube. Vieles macht den Eindruck, als sei es aus den Regalen von Mittelmeer-Supermärkten direkt auf den Teller gehievt. Das wäre alles noch hinnehmbar, wenn die Preise entsprechend kalkuliert wären. Die sind aber völlig überhöht für die Qualität. Unter 60-70 Euro pro Person mit Wein kommt man faktisch kaum hin, während auf der Website offensichtlich noch alte, erheblich niedrigere Preise ausgewiesen sind. Keine Empfehlung.

Almodovar made a great movie of this name, but not a disappointment as this was. The place is nice enough, and the service is friendly if not a tad slow. All would be forgiven, and a favourable movie comparison made if the food was at least ok. Apart from the decent chorizo and the braised lamb (both very good), many standards of the region were let down. The sadly under heated and probably overcrowded oil fryer turned the patatas bravas into limp, pale, oily pieces. The calamari were perhaps beyond help before they hit the fryer, but these tiny critters (love to know the country of origin) emerged almost beyond edibility, so hard were they. The tiny prawns seem immersed in an oil that doesn't appear to be olive, and while not well flavoured, are in part raw, as the oil again is too cool to move. The bread is so far from the terrific bread of the origin, it's sad. No olive oil is offered with it. The peppers are similarly fated to oil death, though more edible than the other elements. It all sounds irredeemable, but I hope this was just a slow night...though seeing the smoking owner and dog just inside the kitchen area gives me pause. So should you.

For me the best tapas restaurant outside of Spain. The bacon-wrapped dates melt in your mouth, the Termera a la Valencina is a poem. For dessert, definitely try the goat cheese with homemade cotton candy.

A very nice and cozy tapas restaurant in Mitte. Reservations are mandatory on many evenings. Very good selection of tapas and wines. Nice attentive service even when the store is full.

Nice little restaurant, you definitely have to make a reservation. The food is very good, but it's worth paying for the small quantities. There is a good selection of wine and the like, but other alcoholic drinks are sparsely represented. Despite the small shop, you have to be patient and it is quite loud. Toilets are very clean and the staff is very friendly. Overall, somehow quaint, has its own charm... Only easy to reach by public transport... Not for people with a walker or wheelchair, because it's too narrow.

Super delicious food, great service, from now on every time you visit Berlin

Sehr gutes essen, daher die 3 Sterne, aber sehr teuer. Das schlimmes war, dass wir uns sehr unwillkommen gefühlt haben. 70€ pro Person war für den Besitzer zu wenig Umsatz. Schade, vielleicht sollte der Besitzer nicht bedienen.

On the positive side, Great place, tasty food, nice atmosphere. On the negative side, we ordered tap water and got charged 6 euros for it and we ordered second bread and it was not as fresh as the first one. Other than that definitely recommended. I would go again there.

Good design and atmosphere BUT bland and super expensive food. The service was not friendly at all, they got the order wrong and still double charged for the mistake they made, I just decided to pay instead of saying anything as I could not wait to get out of here by that point.

Yesterday we were looking for a good tapas in Berlin and after a short search we were pointed out Volver. Reservation was very easy to make via Google. At 7 p.m. there wasn't much going on in the restaurant. At 8 p.m. there were no more seats available. The service is a bit... "relaxed" hurry with time, but still friendly. Typically Spanish tapas are offered on the frequently used menus. The selection is a bit “overwhelming” because you want to try everything. However, you should not order more than 4 portions per person as it quickly becomes too much, both on the small tables and for yourself. The food is good but not really "exciting"; the jamon was sliced ​​a bit thick for our taste. The ajoli was good, but could use a little more salt; the other dishes were almost too salty. We were really thirsty afterwards.

Food overpriced and sometimes cold

Went here with friends, for my birthday on Thursday, and had such a great time. Great service, great value and great food. The owner was highly accommodating and welcoming. I'd highly recommend, and will certainly be back.

Kleine Tapas Bar mit toller Atmosphäre. Essen top, Service nett und freundlich. Wenn wir in Berlin sind, geht es nicht ohne mindestens einen Besuch bei Volver.

Das Volver bietet ein sehr gemütliches Ambiente und grandiose Tapas! Die Getränkeauswahl ist vielfältig, persönlicher Tip: der rote Hauswein (super lecker). Wir waren nun bereits drei Abende zu Gast im Volver, die Qualität war stets auf höchstem Niveau und gleichbleibend! Zum Laden gehört die bezaubernde Pimienta, eine liebe und ruhige Galgo-Dame, die einfach dazugehört. Inhaberin und Inhaber sind sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend und haben mit dem Volver eine kulinarische Oase in Berlin Mitte geschaffen. Unbedingt empfehlenswert!

Wirklich tolles Lokal. Essen ist top aber man sollte wissen das die Portionen sehr klein sind und es eigentlich eher darum geht dass alle was bestellen und gemeinsam teilen. Die Angestellten und der Chef sind top.

Von erfahrenen Spanien-Reisenden hört man immer wieder: "Je ranziger der Laden, desto besser die Tapas." Gemessen an dieser Regel ist das Volver überraschend gut, denn das Ambiente ist eher gepflegt, die Preise gehoben. Hier entspannt das Mitte-Business/Politik/Verbände-Publikum, gemeinsam mit verirrten Touristen und betuchterem Charité-Volk. Wer sich am Preis-Leistungsverhältnis nicht stört, kann hier buchstäblich auf seine Kosten kommen.

Das Essen ist ok. Der spanische Wermut ist nicht der beste aber passt und es gibt weiß und rot. Es ist eine Frechheit für filtriertes Leitungswasser 6€ pro Karaffe zu bezahlen. Das ein Hund in dem restaurant umherstreicht ist ok, mag für andere Gäste aber nicht passend sein. Der Kellner kann kaum deutsch und der Besitzer kommt leicht genervt rüber. Schade, da es ein nettes Lokal sein könnte aber zusätzlich noch überteuert ist 😔

I personally enjoyed the atmosphere and design of the restaurant. However, the tapas was too greasy for my taste which made me feel a little sick after. It wasn’t a bad experience but the food could be better for the price.

Ein "Erlebnis" der absurden Art. Kellner (womöglich der Besitzer?) raucht in der einsehbaren Küche (absolutes no go), ein gazellenartiger Hund des Hauses, der unter den Augen des Personals wie selbstverständlich an frisch eingedeckten Tischen Platz nimmt, die Schnauze dicht am Gedeck. Beide Beobachtungen eindeutig ein Fall für die Lebensmittelüberwachung. Die Tapas mittelmäßig, der Rotwein viel zu kühl und die Preise jenseits von gut und böse, jedenfalls ca. 30% über der auf der Webseite hinterlegten Karte, die wohl seit Jahren nicht aktualisiert wurde. Klarer Fall von Wettbewerbsverzerrung.

Wir sind immer gern dort, seit Jahren

Das Essen war sehr gut, aber es ist bei einer vollen Belegung sehr eng. So hat es sich der Kellner/Eigentümer? nicht nehmen lassen, uns beim Servieren unzählige Male mit seinem Bauch zu touchieren. Auch in der Kommunikation war er in der Tendenz eher seltsam. Dennoch, wer es gemütlich mag, ist hier an der richtigen Adresse.

Leider war das Essen sehr fettriefend. Tapas sind nie fettfrei das ist klar, aber so viel Fett muss es m.E. nicht sein. Das Personal war zurückhaltend freundlich. Das Ambiente gemütlich. Man reserviert allerdings für 2 Stunden und wird darauf auch freundlich bei der Platzierung hingewiesen.

Sehr schöner Laden. Ohne Reservierung geht nix. Der Service ist gut und aufmerksam. Das Essen war gut, was mich gestört hat, war die "Deko" auf fast allen Gerichten - meine Mitesser fanden das aber ok. Die Preise sind ok, das Wasser - in einer Karaffe- etwas zu teuer.

Eine nette Tapas Bar. Ich persönlich finde die Preise nicht ohne aber hey: die Lebensmittel hatten ja auch einen weitem Weg hinter sich. Nach 5 - 9 Wochen Aufenthalt in Spanien wollten wir unseren Urlaub mit einem Essen in Berlin abschließen. Leider war es nur okay. Der Serrano-Schinken war gut, die Chorizo sehr fettig und die Soßen zu den Patatas Bravas haben mir persönlich nicht so sehr zugesagt. Dass man für das Brot 3€ bezahlt, wenn man einen Teller mit Wurstwaren für knapp 22€ bestellt finde ich ebenfalls etwas merkwürdig. Die Kroketten sind winzig und ich persönlich habe in der Serrano-Krokette keinen Serrano geschmeckt. Die Spinat-Krokette war dafür in Ordnung. Über das Ambiente insgesamt lässt sich streiten. Ich fand es in Ordnung. Ob ich allerdings ständig einen Hund neben mir haben möchte, ist eindeutig Geschmackssache. Ich bin weder überzeugt noch sage ich, dass das gar nicht geht. Nach meinen Erfahrungen in Spanien würde ich nicht erneut dort essen. Ohne einen vorangegangenen Spanienaufenthalt ist es bestimmt gut.

I am really glad I left without leaving a single penny to this place. As soon as we arrived, the owner came towards us with an attitude. As usual, we asked in advance if there was space for two even if we could spot that there was some place in the bar that could have been used. The negative answer and the rudeness of this man made us leave with a bad feeling. If you are to attend in a restaurant that presumes to be spanish, just take care of the way spanish people serve and treat the client.
