Were here 16 years ago and were very satisfied, today we spontaneously went there with the children - the food, service and ambience were top - clear recommendation, we would be happy to come back

Unfortunately we are very disappointed with the food. We ordered 2x tapas, they were okay! Unfortunately, the main courses didn't convince us at all. My husband's meat tasted like nothing and I would say it wasn't very high quality meat either... I couldn't even eat half of my salad... We are used to a completely different quality of food. Since the waiter was very nice, there are 2 ⭐️ and not just 1 ⭐️ It's a shame, almost 80€ for nothing :( P.s I would recommend you to sit inside if you want to eat at the restaurant. Next to the restaurant there is a small green area where rats roam around, which you can watch while you eat if you sit outside. (Of course it's not the restaurant's fault! I just want to mention it)

The service is as bad as the food unfortunately. Even the manager seems to forget to bring drinks, he promised to bring his private friends visiting. Just embarassing

Maybe it was because I was Asian, but even though the middle seat was empty, I was directed to a hidden seat in front of the toilet. I ordered some dishes, but they weren't very tasty.

Unfortunately, Hakeschen Höfe was full, at least the Schani Gardens (Viennese term for outdoor dining area) so back to the Vivolo. Wasn't the best decision. The prawns in garlic raised the rating to a 2nd star. Spare ribs at pharmacy prices, small portions and no house sauces but ketchup and mayonnaise from Heinz, unmarinated fish on a salad. And then oil, vinegar, salt and pepper are added only upon request. Had a bad day? But sorry, that doesn't work at all. In Spain the restaurant wouldn't survive for 2 weeks. Don't come to you a second time.

We sat outside and ordered two dishes. The accompanying drinks arrived within five minutes, and the food didn't take long to arrive - very pleasant waiting times! (Time: 6:30 p.m. - 6:45 p.m. on a Monday) The service was consistently positive: the waiter was friendly and attentive, so there is absolutely nothing to complain about here. The ambience is quite successful for the central location on Hackescher Markt. The very loud "Italian" in the next bar was a bit disturbing, as he was obviously trying to attract guests with his interaction - but that's probably part of the situation in this area. My spare ribs were okay: not a culinary highlight, but not a letdown either - solid. Overall a nice visit with good service and decent food.

We recently had tapas here and were satisfied. The selection of tapas isn't that huge, but we found something and found it delicious.

We came in and were immediately warmly welcomed. We quickly received very good food. The atmosphere and vibe were great and lively the entire time. Very friendly service. I can only recommend it and would definitely come back here anytime. (However, not ideal for people with very sensitive ears, as it can get quite loud at times.) Definitely a very good restaurant in Berlin.

I can hardly believe all the negative reviews because we had a very positive experience here. Despite the fact that the restaurant was closed for lunch, we were given a very friendly welcome and were not turned away. We were able to choose a seat and even had a delicious meal here 1 1/2 hours before opening time. Without hesitation, we were told that the cook was already at the stove making preparations so that we would be happy to prepare something for us. We gratefully accepted this offer and the drinks and food were served very quickly. The young waiter was friendly and attentive and also asked if everything was OK. Our dishes were very well seasoned, cooked and well tempered. The meat was extremely tender and juicy, and the sauce was well seasoned. The location was great and was right on the market, Large outdoor area with sufficient sun protection. I found it very positive that there was a toilet for disabled people on the ground floor. We would come here again at any time.

Yesterday when it was so cold and rainy we found this Spanish cuisine restaurant, I knew there would be some broth, soup or cream, we just wanted some very hot broth and here we are! You just have to know that they do not accept VISA cards, bring cash (how much? About 30 euros per person) or Mastercard. I don't give it 5 stars on the card, but the food is delicious, abundant ah! And for the broth there is green lemon, lemon of adeveras. A self-respecting Mexican puts green lemon in his broth.

Looking for something to eat, far away from all the small snack bars around Hakescher Markt, we stumbled upon this place quite by chance. The visit was definitely worth it! A very nice, Mediterranean-style restaurant. Much larger than I initially thought. A large selection of classic Spanish dishes. The four of us opted for a few rounds of tapas – I can only recommend it to everyone, as it allows you to try a variety of dishes. I'd say the food is authentic; at least my colleagues from Venezuela and Colombia were also very satisfied, and that's saying something – haha. Generally, you meet quite a few Spanish-speaking guests here, which is usually a good sign. As for the service, I can't agree with the other reviews here at all. We were served relatively quickly, didn't wait more than five minutes for our cocktails, and the tapas also arrived quite quickly. The guys and girls did a great job. Sure, it can take a while when it's busy - but that's just the way restaurants are. If you want something quick to eat, you can always go to one of the countless kebab shops in the area instead of a restaurant. We definitely felt very comfortable and enjoyed the evening. I'll definitely come back! A definite recommendation for a relaxed evening with friends!

Good recommendation of wine. We got a fantastic wine that the waiter recommended us to take. The atmosphere was good, there was live music. Excellent tapas too. Too bad there weren't more guests.

Ate without a reservation on International Women's Day. Very courteously received by the staff and served immediately. However, it took a long time before the food was on the table... Luckily Jean Martinez played his classic Spanish sing-along songs. What an atmosphere!!!! And then the food; Grilled sea bream as it should be! It's worth repeating, but in a quiet moment...

Catastrophic! The service is really terrible, after having to wait almost 20 minutes just to order the drinks, we had 4 waiters take turns. Total chaos, there was 1 menu for 8 people, drinks were forgotten, various orders from other tables arrived and we had to wait an hour for 2 tapas plates and 3 extra little things. Absolutely not recommended, staff is totally overwhelmed, we were ignored and "forgotten". The food itself is okay, but overpriced and there are no non-alcoholic cocktails... not up to date either. Never again!

Unfortunately I have to agree with the previous speakers, Wait 30 minutes until a group of 20 people were served. Then the same time again until the drinks came. Avoid! A very rare incorrect service, in Berlin and elsewhere: no time to choose beers imposed on us, harassment of the waiter after ordering two large platters of tapas (correct nothing more) and the icing on the cake: attempt to add us to the bill for the water that we had not ordered.

Waiting half an hour for drinks isn't bad. But waiting 50 minutes for some tapas is unbelievable. The glasses had been empty for a long time and we weren't asked once if we wanted to order more. The waiter at the next table always referred to his colleague, who unfortunately didn't show up. Nobody even came to the table to pay. We then went to the door and paid there. Even when spoken to, they didn't really react. The food was only lukewarm when it came to the table and really nothing special. So if you want to eat tapas, you should look for something else.

Not a bad family restaurant, but overpriced due to the location. Some dishes are not worth the money, for example 7 shrimps in oil for 10€. It's nicer here in the summer, especially if you sit outside. The service is good, but we were freezing in the hall, it was very windy.

One of the absolute worst experiences I've had to date. Starting with us coming into an almost empty restaurant and the staff taking their time to seat us waiting paying guests. We are then seated at a wobbly table and matching chair. The waiter irritates us with his lack of knowledge about red wine, followed by missing cutlery and plates as well as stained napkins that we would have to ask for after our food was there The highlight was a pseudo paella, which contained almost raw rice, as well as an indefinable gravy, which we complained about because it was simply bad and our stomachs rebelled shortly afterwards. The fitting conclusion was during the payment process: the waiter threw the receipt on the table and didn't say goodbye. The owner probably has no need for sales. We comply with this by definitely not recommending this restaurant. Bad service and bad food. Too bad.

It is the fourth time that we have celebrated the company party at this restaurant and it is always the same, delicious food, spectacular service, nothing to say, simply the best. As a girls night out, we had the best time at Vivolo! Nice and relaxed service, great food and drinks, good prices. And the live music is just the cherry on the cake🤩 I got shivers from John’s guitar play and singing. Definitely recommend and we’re coming again!

A bit fresh there, but the food (tapas) was very tasty and we also had a wonderful musician live on Saturday. Our first waitress (just before closing time) didn't provide quite as friendly service. (Pour water instead of just putting the bottle down, smile, don't look annoyed... the basics were missing). The next waiter was able to pull it out again. All in all a recommendation

I have been there a couple of times already and can say it is one of my favorite tapas places in Berlin. The food it always amazing (chorizos being my ultimate star of the show), very well seasoned and always fresh. Last time (on Sunday) we were served by Connor who made our evening so much more entertaining and enjoyable. He was a delight, so nice and polite. It was my parent’s first time at the place and they had a very positive experience. Thank you, Connor, you were a delight! The atmosphere at the place is always top notch, whether the place is crowded with live music playing in the background, or if it’s almost empty and quite, the place has its own charm. Much recommended when you’re looking for a nice dinner/lunch in the city center!

The food is delicious, the atmosphere is good, a handsome man sings beautifully with a guitar. Service disaster! They constantly brought the wrong dishes, as a result of which I had to wait about an hour for one dish until I went to find out from the manager. It is not clear in what language to communicate with the staff. In general, the birthday dinner was not very successful.

Had the tapas for 2, everything was delicious and generous for the price. Drinks also good, there is Estrella on tap! Can't complain too much! Live music was also great although a bit loud!

The food is very delicious and the staff are super friendly with amazing service. Loved the experience and I would definitely come back.

We waited 1.5 hours to get something to eat. We left because there was nothing - literally nothing - to eat other than false promises. Unfortunately, it was badly uncoordinated, everyone was running around. My recommendation: replace the management, as adequate restaurant management can certainly be done differently.

We went in and stayed only because of the excellent guitar player! The man knows how to put on a show! In contrast, the food was just bad by any standard and very expensive, gave me stomach ache afterwards. The service was good.

I've been here twice now. The first time I sat outside and ordered tapas. The 2nd time I went in and ordered a "regular dish" (chicken in white wine sauce). The service is great. They were always gentlemen who were both friendly and quick. The prices are okay. The topaz was great! In terms of price, you have to dig a little deeper into your pocket. But it's worth it. The chicken, on the other hand, wasn't that good. The sauce was tasty and it was well seasoned, but too dry. As I was sitting inside, a live musician came later who looked a little like Johnny Depp with a few more wrinkles 😅 But he really brought the mood into it and played his guitar well. I'm often critical when it comes to singing, but I enjoyed listening to him. I would have liked to stay but it got too loud to really have a good conversation. And that was my focus that evening. If you're interested in live music and tapas, you're in good hands here.

There were six of us and everyone wasn't really happy with their food. The fish on my salad tasted very watery. One could assume it was thawed and fried or grilled without much effort. The tapas weren't particularly high quality either. At this point I have to mention the really bad service. We felt like we were just too much for the waiter, and when he kicked me at the end (probably accidentally) and didn't even apologize, it was just too much for me and I knew I would be this one Leave a review here. Unfortunately, as a solo traveler, I encountered an extremely pushy waiter. After a tiring day, I actually just wanted to have a leisurely meal. The dish was okay, a bit cold in parts, but I found the waiter's attempts to tell me how beautiful I was and the constant requests for eye contact and flirting to be quite disgusting. A woman traveling alone is definitely seen as fresh meat here, even if she only uses the word thank you out of politeness and otherwise doesn't engage in any verbal or non-verbal courtship. I found the rooms to be very nice.

We've been there several times. We always liked it very much, otherwise we wouldn't have repeated the visit several times. Today from around 9 p.m. a singer with a guitar and a penetrating amplifier. Sound like at a live concert. Doesn't fit into this atmosphere. Was probably the last visit here.

We were guests at the weekend, the tapas were good, the grilled meat was average. The service staff often seemed overwhelmed. The atmosphere of the restaurant is very pleasant both inside and outside. Only the Berlin rats disturb the picture a little outside. But it's like that everywhere on the Hake market. Without the loud "Spanish" singer, it would have been an even more pleasant stay.

I've been coming here every year for 3 years. As always, friendly staff and delicious fresh food. See you next time.

When it came to the mixed tapas plate, not one of them tasted to a decent standard. It's a shame, because the restaurant is comfortably furnished

Poor experience. Waiter took ages to serve us and favoured serving the large table of people that sat down after us. We were as patient as we could be after we finished our paella but waited 20 minutes to get the bill including asking 2 different staff members. Not impressed for our last night in Berlin.

The menu promised delicious food, don't be fooled. What came next wasn't that tasty. For a small handful of potatoes €8! The other tappas weren't very appetizing either. I also found the constant solicitation of guests very unpleasant. These were very desperate attempts to get guests into the restaurant.

We ended up eating in a Spanish restaurant in Berlin being Spanish, yes. But when your little one is tired of eating knuckle, sausages, snitzchel and potatoes in all their versions... just like us, there is no other choice. The food is of poor quality, and has nothing to do with the Spanish, apart from being very expensive. The ham croquettes are the only decent thing (€8 for 4 croquettes). Most of the waiters speak Spanish. We were served by a girl who was a little impertinent, she made some out of place comment or another. In addition, rats pass near your feet and roam around the entire terrace of the restaurant. The waiters laugh and say that nothing is happening, that it is something very normal and that they do nothing. Anyway, I don't even want to think about what that kitchen will be like. I don't recommend it at all.

I've been to Vivolo many times and always found it very nice, but the store has declined significantly in recent years. The Pimentos de Padron used to be fried. Today they seem to be thrown into the deep fryer. Otherwise very very expensive, for little food.

It is a tourist area so the concept is aimed at that audience. The truth is I really liked the day it was although in general I don't like saturated places. We had the attention of a very friendly Argentine boy and we didn't have to wait almost anything.

Had spare rips, the worst I've ever eaten. Totally dry. Where there should be meat there was only dried fiber. Never again.

We had a terrible experience here. The waiter dropped a large beer over us so our clothes got soaked and playing cards destroyed. We then tried to speak to them about it and to find a solution, but they said they couldn’t do anything and threaten to call the police on us. The one person that served us was clearly on some substances, we believe that is was Coke. We really really recommend that you stay far away from this place. Worst experience of our lives.😡

Horrible experience… If I were able to give the service 0 stars I definitely would. First of all it took ages to get recognition from the waiters. When we finally got our beers, the waiter spilled a beer all over us and destroyed our playing cards. This is a human error and that’s fine. But they wouldn’t give us any kind of refund. We talked to the waiter who spilled the beer, he was 100% on coke no doubt, we couldn’t have a normal conversation with him, he was threatening and aggressive. Never go here! -Emil

We are vegan and we were ordering the vegan tapas. Friendly waiters, beautiful place. Unfortunately, some of the tapas that we had had were NOT VEGAN, don't know if were the Mojo salsa potatoes or the croquettes, because we had had a strong reaction to something had laktose (milk or cream or egg?) and we were feeling ill 30 minutes later. When you are vegan for longer than 6 months, the body don't produce ANYMORE the enzymes for can digest milk or cheese, and the reaction of the body is terrible painful during hours. Please, label the tapas as vegetarian or vegan correctly.

I wouldn't recommend you to eat here, there were four of us at a table and three got their food and one person at our table only got their food after everyone else had finished, only got it after 45 minutes. The food was very little and you won't get enough of it. I don't recommend.

Staff is VERY rude and mean. Food is very expensive looking at their portion. Biggest problem is the attitude they have against customers. Nobody should tolerate this at an expensive resteurant.

Simply disappointing..Salad with chicken for just under 15 euros was more like a side salad in a kebab shop..Hamburger with fries without any side dish or color or aesthetic effect..Service was zero .had to ask 4x to get a drink and asked 3x for the bill...paid over 60€..wasn't worth more than 20€...but the waiter didn't care about the dissatisfied guest...never go there back again

The waiter, although I began to speak German, began to speak Italian/Spanish mixed with English, which led us to not understand anything. We asked for a table away from the noise of the football and we were pretty close. I also asked him to explain to me what the tapas mix included and he didn't give me an answer so we ordered extra tapas that were exactly what was in the Mix. I think they do it so that tourists spend more money. We didn't like the service at all, the food more or less.

The food was really good, I had meat balls in tomato sauce and rice with a Cola Zero. Poverty ferry was very busy so the restaurant was full. The staff who served were nice and attentive.

The paella was very oily and unfortunately did not taste very good despite a lot of fine ingredients. Service was below average. There were several rats and mice running around and you can think about that as you like.

Meatballs tasted strange and didn't eat them. Croquettes didn't seem homemade. Food overall bad. Service slow. Tourist trap.

Nos decepcionó tanto que nos dijeron después de pedir cervezas y pedir comida que “si bebes más tendrás más hambre” y luego no ver a un camarero durante más de 45 minutos. Pedimos pedir varias veces y cada mesa a nuestro alrededor pidió y recibió comida. No querían servir a los estadounidenses. Muy decepcionante. Un ambiente maravilloso y nos reunimos con amigos que hablaban alemán y nos atendieron, pero cuando vieron cómo nos trataron decidieron que no era un lugar para ellos.

Food was average. We waited forever for the drinks. When we paid, we suddenly couldn't pay separately anymore. There was a football game being broadcast, but we didn't get any drinks in the second half.

How dare you be in business still?! This is outrageous. Several waiters and they can’t keep up with the guests and orders?! Really?! We were told that we need to keep drinking our beverages and our hunger will get better. 4 other tables that had people arrive after us got their food orders taken and food brought to them and they never got to us to even take our order. So rude. They kept on saying someone will come to take our order. No one ever came to take it. We paid for beverages and left. So not deserving of us being their guests and leaving them a nice tip as we usually do. We found another nice place that seated us immediately and food was awesome. Well… their loss. And we will keep telling people to avoid them. Again - their loss. Too bad. Maybe the manager can find better waiters. Just a suggestion as I know a thing or two about restaurant business.

It took them a while to serve us but everything was ok regarding the staff. As for the food, we ordered a cheese plate which had been cut approx. two months…. It tasted like an old refrigerator and the quality was terrible 😅 as decoration they gave us some unwashed grapes, and instead of peaks a piece of frozen baguette that was subsequently burnt 🫣 All this for the modest price of €20 per small plate 🙂 I didn't have high expectations since the place is located in a very touristy area but the quality of the food was even below my expectations.

If you’re planing to go and visit Berlin, highly recommend to go to Vivola Ole, beautiful environment, fantastic Food, vibe and location in heart of Berlin, stuff are friendly and waiting time is actually nothing.

5 small potatoes for 8€… The food was nothing special and not enough for the price. The waiters were inattentive, there was no question of whether everything was good (not even when paying) and you had to wait a long time until you were noticed. We wanted to watch a European Championship game, the sound was offset by 17 seconds from the picture. The restaurants around cheered and the boss just joked about it.

When we arrived at the half-empty terrace, it took a very long time before anyone spoke to us. Also when we asked a waiter to take our order, he told us to wait. All this was in a brutal and unfriendly tone. When a waiter came to take our order after a very long time, it was in a very unfriendly manner. Also when the drinks were brought to our table it was very rude. Some of us got a warm soft drink, others got a cold one. When we approached someone to ask for a cold soft drink, he gave us the answer 'I don't have a cold drink, that's why I gave you an ice cube in your glass.' All this again in a brutal and VERY UNFRIENDLY tone. Food is tasty, but on the pricey side. Ended up paying a lot for okay food and SUPER BAD SERVICE.

There were too few staff for the number of people that were sitting outside. Putting in the order and then paying took forever. The mixed vegetable tapas were bland.
