Great ambiance, very friendly service, good food, and fair value for money. Two comments: Food: One star deducted for dessert – the walnut crème brûlée was a bit too sweet for me. This is certainly a matter of taste, but a more subtle caramel crust would have done the dish good. Atmosphere: One star deducted for the noise level, which could be a bit lower. The already installed soundproofing ceiling panels are having an impact, but there's still room for improvement. Conclusion: We'll be back!

We went for Dinner and decided on the 3-course menu with accompanying wines to match the different dishes. Food, wine and service were excellent! Each course was explained to us in great detail without any rush and you could sense the passion, for quality of ingredients, presentation and taste of the food and service, that the entire Villandry team embodies. We had a great evening and will definitely consider revisiting in the future.

Absolutely recommended! Very friendly service and perfect service. The food was excellent, suitable for the season and absolutely harmonious. With every bite the wish grew that the plate would never be empty! Very suitable for vegetarians. The price is high but absolutely fair and gladly paid. Because the service was so pleasant and friendly, it was almost like eating with friends! We'll be back very soon and we'll be surprised by the seasonal cuisine. Thanks so much!

A fantastic experience! My son and I enjoyed a three-course chef's menu here and were thrilled. From the perfect service to the excellent preparation of the food to the appropriate wine recommendation – everything was simply first class. Sophisticated and imaginative cuisine without any “chichi” around it. Small but still diverse menu, vegetarians also have an interesting selection. Rather inconspicuous on the outside, but with enough space for the neighboring table. The service is friendly and doesn't get you down even when it's busy. Not cheap, but worth the money.

What a beautiful gem in Dresden's Neustadt. We spent an extremely delicious evening at Villandry in a very casual, super friendly atmosphere. We opt for the 4-course menu and had 2x starter, main course and dessert. You can make your choice from the current map. All dishes impress with a great interplay of consistencies and very high-quality, perfectly prepared ingredients. Plus a very tasty bottle of rosé - what more could you want. It should be noted that the Villandry uses its “own” walls for smaller art exhibitions. The current paper collages positively supported the beautiful ambience. Thanks to the whole Villandry team for a wonderful three hours. Kevin in particular supported everything with his extremely friendly, positive charisma. We'll definitely come back.

It's a really pleasant restaurant and currently probably the best address for finer cuisine in the outer Neustadt (Elements is a little further away). The staff are very friendly and attentive. In terms of ambience, I simply prefer a little more indirect light and more distance from the other guests than is the case in Villandry. The food is really good, but I still lack the sophistication to give it five points, and I wasn't entirely convinced by my wines (open red wines). You can still do everything right with a visit.

Nice restaurant, good service with a few drawbacks, the greeting from the kitchen was finger food and no one asked about the possibility of using a plate, unfortunately. And at the end, when I mistyped the card machine, the waiter said the price out loud! called. I didn't think that was okay. The meal with the champagne tasting! was very tasty.

There were four of us there and it was great. I can only summarize it like this: arrive and enjoy. The staff greeted us warmly and everything was adjusted as far as possible due to my illnesses. The food was wonderfully matched with the drinks. We will definitely come back! Simply a pleasure

The Villandry is again my favorite restaurant in the Neustadt ❤️ After several changes of operator in the last 10 years and the corona pandemic in between, the Villandry has once again grown into a permanent fixture in the Dresden restaurant landscape under the new management and has become my favorite restaurant again.

The dishes were perfect: one flavor composition after the other, creative, finely tuned and simply delicious. It was a real highlight how much creativity and skill you could taste on every plate. During our short stay in Dresden, we spent a magical evening with first-class service and culinary delicacies for the second time. The only downside was the somewhat drafty space near the entrance door. But we can only warmly recommend the restaurant for fans of good cuisine and enjoyment of food. We'll be back!!!

We were in Villandry on the occasion of our 25th company anniversary. In the first few years we did a lot of wine tastings there and had wonderful evenings. We have changed and taken new paths. The same goes for Villandry after the change of tenant. It's nice that old and new lives on in such a tried and tested form. Thank you Villandry for the delicious food and pleasant service. Here’s to another 25 years of old and new ways.

We had our Christmas party at Villandry. The service was great. Care was always taken to ensure that the glasses were never empty. The food was very tasty (3 course Christmas menu) and large enough portions, only the vegetarian main course was a bit small. Special requests were also very kindly accepted and implemented. Thank you for the lovely evening.

For many years, Villandry has been the place we go when we want something special. The food is very good, regional and invites you to experiment. Particularly noteworthy is the outstanding, friendly service, which provides impartial advice, is competent and fast.

The goose menu was an absolute highlight. Every course tasted convincing, the meat was juicy and baked to perfection. Unfortunately I only took a photo of the main course, the other courses were also beautifully presented. A recommendation!

The friendliness of the employees is outstanding. Compared to previous visits, this time the food didn't completely convince us. But that may also be because we expected something different. Overall there was nothing to complain about. We will try it again.

We had dinner for two in Villandry yesterday. An absolutely friendly, entertaining and competent service staff awaited us. We immediately felt at home in the visually and acoustically very pleasant ambience and were able to enjoy an imaginative and delicious 3-course menu. As a beverage accompaniment we enjoyed the very successful Chardonnay from Martin Schwarz, which was made especially for the house.

Unfortunately, there were no more dishes on the already small menu, so as a vegetarian I no longer had a choice for the main course. So I “forced” to have the gnocchi with hazelnuts, but I have to say that they were really excellent. Sometimes you waited a little too long for the waiter, but the food is really so good that you can ignore that, especially since we were there on a Friday evening and it was correspondingly full.

The Villandry is perfect for a pleasant, relaxed evening with French flair and Saxon charm. The price/performance ratio is great and the service is extremely attentive and pleasant. The only disadvantage: you don't exist in Erfurt 😉

It was so incredibly delicious, I don't know when I last had such a great meal. The rice was perfect, the asparagus was slightly crunchy, the sauces were really great. And very friendly staff, it was a total pleasure to spend the evening there. Back soon!!

Culinary gem in the heart of the Neustadt. Fine wine selection, great ambience and top service. The staff is wonderfully relaxed, friendly and trained. We have just returned from a 3 week road trip to Germany . on our tour, we stayed for 6 days in our beloved city of Dresden. And whilst there, we did what we have been doing for many years now and dined at the Villandrt restaurant. And as usual, the evening did not disappoint. Infact we so enjoyed it here we reserved a table for a second time on our final night in the city. We like to dine in various places in Dresden and at various price points from Czech Beer Halls in the Neumark to rather posher Michelin starred establishments in 5 sta hotels. However we always come back to this place because to our mind the Villandry really is the finest restaurant in the city. Foreign visitors thinking of spending an evening here, please dont be put off by the fact that it is situated in a slightly " edgy " part of Dresden. Graffiti abounds ! But all is safe and well here and the moment you step out of your taxi and into the warm and extremely comfortable interior you know you will be wll looked after. As I said , we dined here twice in our stay and the Skrei fillet dish that we both had on our first evening was so good , we had the same on the second evening. The cooking here is sublime and clever. If you think that German cuisine consists of just pork knuckle and Wiener Schnitzle , dine here and you will have your mind changed instantly. Add to that the ambience of the restaurant, the placing of the tables and the wonderful friendly and helpful service and you have, to our mind, a perfect restaurant. So thankyou Villandry, thnkyou Frank and thankyou dear Lexy for two enjoyable evenings , part of a superb tour of Deutschalnd. Hope to see you again when we next come in October

We enjoyed a menu including wine accompaniment on Valentine's Day. The evening was simply fantastic from start to finish! The whole composition of the dishes and the pairings with wine accompanied by wonderful service blew us away! The combination of fine cuisine, such as scallops, and regional products, such as the meat from Bauer's farm shop in Langebrück, also worked great in our opinion! We would highly recommend a visit to all food lovers. Many thanks to the entire team in the kitchen and in service.

A modern, medium-sized restaurant in the young and timeless Neustadt. We were here as a larger group, were well served and had fun. The food was good, a little too much sea salt on the rather raw meat (still tasty). The char was great! I liked the dessert, chocolate cake with a liquid center is always good. A very aromatic vanilla ice cream and marinated pineapple as a highlight. The art hanging in the restaurant is also modern and encourages conversation.

Visited this place for business. Very nicely developed restaurant with a trendy bar. The food is very good and the place is suitable for a small group lunch or dinner. The Villandry can also be reached within 15 minutes on foot from Neustadt train station. The food was very good and we had reserved a place in advance.

Nach langer Zeit mal wieder da gewesen. Es gab als Vorspeisen: Dreierlei Fines de Claire Auster & Schweinebauch Sous Vide mit Anis - Erbsenpüree & sowie als Tageempfehlung eine Hirschterrine. im Hauptgang hatten wir einen nach Wunsch gebratenen Hirschrücken mit Preiselbeerjus dazu Kartoffel-Baumkuchen und Karottenmousseline sowie ien Pot au Feu vom Seeteufel, Zander und Miesmuschel dazu eine Cidre Velouté, Passe Pierre und Wildreis. Zum Dessert Créme Brûlée und eine Schoko Mousseline. Alle Gerichte optisch toll serviert und geschmacklich durchweg sehr gut. Dazu eine gut sortierte Weinauswahl. Service zwar sehr freundlich wirkte aber beim ein oder anderen Mitarbeiter etwas hölzern. Vermutlich Aushilfen. Das tat dem Ganzen aber keinen Abbruch. Es war ein rund um gelungener Abend

Insgesamt leckere Cocktails, Vorspeisen (obwohl eine davon wirklich sehr klein war), Hauptspeisen und Nachspeisen, Bedienung auch nett. Was mich allerdings doch ziemlich gestört hat, ist das die Tages-Hauptspeise 13€ teurer war als die teuerste Hauptspeise auf dem Menu, ich finde, so etwas muss man ankündigen, damit die (böse) Überraschung nicht erst mit der Rechnung kommt, das hinterlässt leider einen etwas bitteren Nachgeschmack…

Wir waren zum ersten Mal da und waren begeistert vom Ambiente und der fantastischen Küche!

Es gab an dem Abend einfach mal keine vegetarische Hauptspeise. Das is ein bisschen dürftig für dieses Restaurant und was es versucht, zu verkörpern. Das Essen, also die veggie Vorspeise und ein vegetarisches Zwischengericht, waren okay (bisschen zu salzig) aber haben mich diesmal nicht so geflasht wie sonst. Irgendwie hatte ich das Gefühl, dass sich beim Essen nicht mehr so viel Mühe gegeben worden ist.

...das war das Motto des Abends, gemeint war wohl der Koch. Getränke zügig serviert, Bier war sehr gut, der ausgewählte Wein auch. Das hatte aber noch nichts mit der Küche zu tun. Die war in der Tat überfordert, eine halbe Stunde nach der Bestellung wurden uns ein paar Scheiben Baquette präsentiert, eine gefühlte Ewigkeit später kamen dann die Vorspeisen...das Tatar von einer Pampe aus Schmand und Senf zugekleistert, weder geschmacklich noch optisch in irgend einer Weise ansprechend. Highlight war dann der Salat, beschrieben als Blattsalate mit Pfifferlingen. Um es kurz zu machen, es waren 5 Pfifferlinge vorhanden, der Rest des Salats war in der Sauce abgesoffen, so als wäre er vor Stunden angemacht worden. Das war nicht genießbar! Wir hatten nach diesem kulinarischen Erstkontakt kein Verlangen, weitere Höhepunkte zu erleben, haben den Rest der Bestellung storniert, das Servierte bezahlt und sind gegangen. Noch zu erwähnen, am Nachbartisch hat der Ablauf der Speisenfolge recht gut geklappt, in der Zeit, in der uns das Brot serviert wurde, war dort sehr viel mehr auf dem Tisch. Allerdings stimmt es nachdenklich, dass mittelmäßige Qualität der aufgefahrenen Produkte wohl nicht mehr so beurteilt wird, wie es sein müßte. Das servierte Entrecote wurde unter heftigem Messereinsatz, es war erkennbar zäh, zerlegt. Auf Nachfrage wurde das als "gut" bezeichnet, na ja.... Es hätte uns nachdenklich stimmen müssen, dass die letzten guten Bewertungen aus dem Jahr 2022 stammten. Wir würden das Erlebte vom August 2023 eher als Dresdner Nepp beschreiben, von der Speisekarte über die Präsentation im Netz vom feinsten, die Realität mit einem mediokren Koch und einer überforderten Servicekraft sieht leider etwas anders aus.

Wie immer, ein wunderbarer Abend. Perfekte Gastgeber und perfekte Speisen. Ich bin nichts anderes von euch gewöhnt. Selbst meine kleinen Sonderwünsche werden immer erfüllt.

Wir saßen an einem wunderschönen Sommerabend im Garten und hatten einen tollen Aufenthalt. Super Essen, leckere und vielfältige Getränkeauswahl und freundliches Personal. Wir kommen gerne wieder!

An sich ein guter Versuch etwas schönes zu erschaffen. Allerdings ist gefühlt immer noch ein “Bug” im System drin. Wir mussten fast 1h auf unser Essen warten, da m.E. die Prozesse in der Küche nicht abgestimmt sind. Es hieß zwar, man ist dabei dies zu verbessern, aber einige Bewertungen hier erzählen fast die gleiche Geschichte seit Monaten. Auch ist ein No-Go wenn interne Auseinandersetzungen im Speiseraum so laut besprochen werden, dass Kunden die interne angespannte Stimmung mitbekommen. Leider auch kein “Sorry Espresso” o.ä. am Ende. Das Essen an sich war OK. Als Fazit leider keine gute Erfahrung und keine Empfehlung.

Eins der besten Restaurants in der Dresdner Neustadt, mit ausgezeichneter Weinauswahl. Das Menü bot eine gute Auswahl an Gerichten mit einer kreativen Note, die alle sehr lecker waren. Das Personal war auch sehr aufmerksam und freundlich. Insgesamt hatte ich eine großartige Erfahrung und ich würde das Villandry auf jeden Fall empfehlen.

May I give a little background to this review please. My wife and I are in our 70's and have driven to Deutschland from the U.K. for a touring holiday in our car for many years. From 2007 through to 2017 we visited Dresden each and every year, staying at the Taschenbergpalais. Unfortunately from 2017 some ill-health hit both of us followed by Covid and we were unable to come to Dresden. In those 10 years we always dined at least once at Villandry as it was our favourite restaurant in the city. My wife and I have happily regained our health a bit now so last week we arrived in the city of Dresden again, this time staying at the Buelow Palais for a week, as the Taschenbergpalais is closed for a year for an extensive refurbuishment. We made a reservation to dine at Villandry for a single evening. However, we had learned that it had changed hands so we were a little unsure of what we might find. In fact, we had no reason to be perturbed. Our evening at Villandry was quite superb. The food is innovative and clever and beautifully served by Alexis who is an absolute joy in the front of house. In our week in Dresden we experienced the whole range of dining experiences from one end to the other. From an evening at the Michelin starred restaurant in the Buelow to a beer and a burger in a German Beer Hall. The experience and the quality of the cooking at Villandry surpassed them all ! So much so that we made a second reservation and chose exactly the same courses again as they were so delicious. So, if you are in Dresden I thoroughly recommend the Villandry. It is cosy and comfortable and warm and the food is sublime.

Das Villandry ist an und für sich ein schönes Restaurant, aber das Zusammenspiel zwischen Edelrestaurant und Neustadt Jargon klappt nicht immer. Das Essen war wirklich teuer und wurde dem Preis leider nicht gerecht. Es war zwar gut, aber es gab keine Überraschungsmomente oder super ausgefallene Sachen. Das Dessert war einfach nur ein mit Fertigteig gemachten Kuchen oder Muffin... Wir hatten das Valentinstag Special. Der Service war leider auch nicht so gut, häufig wurden ganze Gänge vergessen und erst deutlich später nachgereicht. Neben uns wartete ein Pärchen 40 Minuten auf sein Dessert. Es gab kein Brot zur Suppe und obwohl man Gänge vorbestellt hat, haben wir weit über 30 Minuten auf den nächsten Gang gewartet. Für ein Restaurant, dass preislich im obersten Bereich (zumindest für Dresden) mitspielen möchte, muss das einfach besser sein. Gerade in punkto Service sollte hier aufgestockt werden.

Wir waren am 24.02.23 hier Essen. Vorweg, wir waren vom ersten Moment an begeistert. Wir sind ohne große Erwartungen angekommen. Das Ambiente, das professionelle, junge Team, der aufmerksame aber unaufgeregte Service und nicht zuletzt das grandiose Essen, haben uns überzeugt. Wir waren nicht das letzte Mal im Villandry zu Gast!

Ganz ok, aber kein gutes Preis-Leistungsverhältnis. Das Fleisch war zäh, die Portionen klein und die Karte unoriginell (der “Fisch Fang des Tages” war pochierter Lachs!). Besonders schade ist, das hier überhaupt nicht auf saisonales Gemüse geachtet wird. Ratatouille und Kirschtomaten im Januar! Richtig gefallen haben mir dagegen die Cocktails.

Ein sehr ansprechendes Restaurant. Stilvoll und gemütlich.Der dezente aufmerksame Service sorgte dafür das wir das hervorragende Essen genießen konnten. Preisleistung im guten Einklang. Wunderbar.

Ein (wiederentdecktes) Highlight! Angefangen vom Service, über die Gerichte auf der Karte und die Qualität der Speisen - erstklassig!

Wer einen entspannten Abend mit lecker Essen genießen möchte, ist hier genau richtig.Kleine feine Speisekarte, sehr nett und professionell.

Wir waren mit einer Gruppe zum Abendessen da. Direkt mit der Begrüßung wurde man äußerst freundlich empfangen. Die Mitarbeiter waren sehr um das Wohl der Gäste bemüht. Die überschaubare Karte bot eine Auswahl köstlicher Optionen für Vorspeise, Hauptgang und Dessert. Wenige Optionen sind für mich meist ein Zeichen für Qualität und Fokus. Und so war es auch. Alle drei Gänge schmeckten exzellent und waren toll angerichtet. Ein großes Lob an die Küche. Auch die Getränkeauswahl war sehr ansprechend und man wurde hervorragend beraten. Ich komme gerne wieder und spreche meine uneingeschränkte Empfehlung aus.

Schönes Ambiente und sehr gute, internationale Speisen. Netter Service, nur leider mussten wir an dem Abend ca. eine Stunde auf unser Essen warten. Für zwei Hauptspeisen und zwei Getränke haben wir knapp 60€ gezahlt. Es ist also etwas teurer, aber die Qualität des Essen hat den Preis mMn gerechtfertigt.
