Our group of 21 people yesterday was really looking forward to dinner at the villa. The prices are high, but justified by the quality of the food and the location. It's just a shame that everyone's soup was lukewarm, almost cold, and all the plates were cold. For many, the main course was also lukewarm to almost cold, and the herb butter for the rump steak was still partially frozen. The requested medium steak was cooked well. The brownie dessert was good, and at least it was warm. The food normally deserves more stars, but at these prices, all dishes and plates should be warm for everyone, hence only two stars. The location was beautiful and well-maintained, and the service was good, considering there were several groups there. However, the eye-rolling in front of guests is a bit much.

Yesterday, we had brunch with friends at Villa Rottweil and were absolutely thrilled. The ambiance is stylish and decorated with so much love that you feel comfortable from the moment you arrive. The food was also outstanding – fresh, beautifully presented, and simply delicious! I'd especially like to commend the service team: very attentive, friendly, and always with a smile. We felt completely taken care of. I wholeheartedly recommend this place. A little tip: Be sure to reserve in advance, as such a lovely spot is naturally very popular. We'll definitely be back! ♥️

I had the pleasure of meeting the owner personally at BNI and then visited the Villa restaurant. The food was truly incredibly delicious, the ambiance extremely beautiful, and the service outstanding – you immediately notice that great importance is placed on quality and hospitality. If you're looking for good food without sacrificing a luxurious experience, this is the place for you. I would also like to particularly highlight the extensive wine selection – perfect for connoisseurs. Highly recommended!

The food was okay, but the service, unfortunately, leaves a lot to be desired for these prices. I wouldn't go there again.

Unfortunately, today was the last time we went to brunch...the food wasn't our style at all...especially the hot dishes...OK...the fried salmon was good, but dry...there was no sauce with it...the meatball wasn't tasty...the roasted potatoes were lacking seasoning...as were the vegetables...overall, there were only these two options...e.g., no salad, no pasta. You can't really go wrong with breakfast itself...although...there was salmon but no horseradish...I asked...the scrambled eggs were pale...apparently unseasoned...was a no-go...we weren't asked for other options...e.g., omelet...cooked egg... The bread was good...the regular, larger rolls have seen better days. Then, the price only includes a coffee or cappuccino...everything else you have to pay for. Conclusion...for €29.50 per person, the price isn't right...we were Four of us... paid over €120... and it really wasn't worth it. Too bad... it's been better.

Very nice, stylish restaurant. They also serve coffee and cake, and hot meals are available from 5 p.m. Prices are upscale but still reasonable. Very quiet inside, but a bit noisy outside due to street noise.

Bad food and even worse service! Unfortunately, I've never been satisfied with the food here. I've given it a chance several times, thinking, "Maybe it was just the dish," but I've been disappointed every time. Then the highlight: I wanted a coffee and cake and waited 40 minutes for someone to serve me. Of course, I asked several times, and they always said someone would be right there. Some people who came after me were even served before me. I was there with my baby, and unfortunately, I can't wait an hour to be served! I got up and left. Never again!

Very good service, friendly staff, and delicious food. Unfortunately, I also have to add negative points. Point 1: I ordered pasta and was served a burger. Point 2: For larger groups, only small menus with limited selection are provided. Upon request, they are happy to serve the main menu, but even this isn't much larger. Point 3: The restrooms are not clean (there are skid marks). Point 4: The prices are too high for my taste. For example, the portion of the ice cream sorbet (€10) is too small. Good point: There are no small children screaming.

The ambiance is exquisite and the food is excellent. My rump steak was cooked to perfection, just the way I wanted it. Highly recommended.

We were there for brunch. The interior was very nice, and the server, Steven, was very polite and friendly. Breakfast wasn't extensive but was delicious. There were no boiled eggs or the option of a fresh omelet. The presentation generally seemed high-quality, but somehow very inconsistent with what was offered. The buffet was very small, with little room to move around. The scrambled eggs were constantly empty. You had to get a hot drink with a token and stand in line like in a cafeteria because only one woman was serving drinks. The token only works for coffee and cappuccino; you have to pay extra for a latte macchiato. Water and orange juice had to be ordered and paid for separately, which is a bit of a hassle for a relaxed brunch. The food selection was very limited—only two warming bowls—no dessert. Blue safety fuel was lying around openly next to the food bowls. Perhaps not the best idea given the number of children. There are just chairs lying around in the entrance area, and the restrooms smell very strongly of fish. I think this is a great place in itself... but today's visit was a bit disappointing.

We were there for lunch and both the daily menu and the pasta of the day tasted excellent and were beautifully presented.

Why is Germany still living in the 1970’s when it comes to smoking? Zero consideration for non-smokers. All dining sections are “smoking allowed” and every table has an ashtray. I specifically asked for non-smoking & they seated us next to 4 chain-smoking women. Then, they seemed to busy to bring us wine with our meal. What really burns my toast is watching service staff pass our table without clearing it once our napkins (paper because this is not by any means “fancy” regardless of price and pretense) were folded & sitting on top of the plates to indicate: DONE. The quality of the food was mildly acceptable but hardly anything to write home about. Their special “fresh linguini” was minimally dressed in a forgettable sauce with just not much to it. I did enjoy the light touch on the very fresh salad but the spatzel was pointless and the onions overly salted. Can not complain about the beef, however. Done to order & the bartender here is a treasure. Really they need more wait staff or more attentive staff & some sort of accommodation for people who don’t enjoy second hand smoke with their dinner.

We visited the villa in the early evening. A short wait to be seated made the friendly service quicker. The menu was promising, and the ratatouille with homemade fries was a real winner! We'll be back to this cozy spot, which offers a tranquil atmosphere despite its proximity to the city.

The food was lukewarm, the roast beef with onions was way too cooked and seemed to have just been reheated. It tasted good, but we were told it could only be cooked medium (because it was already prepared?). The food came extremely quickly (is that a good thing or a bad thing?). The service was friendly, but not warm. The atmosphere was cool.

Hello, dear Villa team. We were there for brunch on Sunday morning. The selection at the breakfast buffet – salmon, sausage, ham, cheese, various spreads, and so on – was good. Unusual, but great service: the water carafe on the table was regularly refilled, which is included in the price. Egg dishes are freshly prepared to order: the fried egg and hard-boiled eggs we ordered were included in the price. Drinks included in the price: One small hot drink such as a cappuccino or coffee, latte macchiato, or café au lait costs extra. At a breakfast brunch, I assume I can drink as much coffee as I like. Orange juice is included at the bar; all other juices or drinks are subject to an additional charge. Hot dishes for lunch: We were actually disappointed here, as they offered sweet potatoes, rice, ravioli, and other items in two warming containers. Unfortunately, there was no sauce for the sweet potatoes and rice. Since the hot lunch dishes weren't appealing to us, the value for money wasn't right, especially since hot drinks weren't included. We'd be happy to come back for lunch or dinner, but brunch in this format is no longer an option for us.

We had a lovely afternoon on the terrace; when it gets cooler, it's cozy inside too. Innkeeper Florian and his team are great hosts, very attentive, and you can feel the positive working atmosphere. In the afternoon, we had a fresh salad with scampi from the small menu, accompanied by a good wine recommendation; it was a very lovely afternoon.

Highly recommended, but priced slightly higher. Accordingly, the service is very good and the food is perfectly prepared, very tasty.

Went there spontaneously for dinner, made an online reservation, and everything went smoothly. Everyone was friendly, and the food arrived after a short wait—it couldn't have been better. Perhaps a bit more selection would have been great :)

My wife and I enjoyed a nice dinner. It was a Friday night but we were still able to get in without a reservation - we were told we were lucky. Surroundings are modern. The noise level was better than acceptable.

A highly recommended restaurant with a great atmosphere (all-glass windows with a view of the Black Forest), excellent food (a wide selection), good service, and reasonable prices. Located right outside the old town, by the large bridge, it has a lovely tree-lined beer garden facing the street. I highly recommend it.

It was our first time eating at the Villa restaurant and we were really looking forward to the visit. My partner ordered the rump steak with asparagus, and I ordered asparagus with potatoes. The service was very friendly, attentive and the atmosphere was tasteful and stylish – we really liked that. Unfortunately, the food did not live up to our expectations: my dish was already cold when I was served it, and the asparagus was very thick, barely cooked and tasted mostly like water. This was disappointing for us, especially since the quality of the food is a central part of the overall experience. Due to this experience, we will unfortunately not consider another visit, but we would still like to emphasize that the service and ambience will remain positive memories.

Restaurant with a refined style, chic environment. I must say that, although the offer of dishes is a bit limited, the dishes are all tasty and plated really well! Whatever dish you choose is a discovery and a surprise. Good offer of beers and wines. Always a good choice of desserts and cakes.

Unfortunately, the villa doesn't convince me even after repeated visits (each time for business lunches). The concept of an “upscale” restaurant with high prices only works if the quality is consistently top. The sage ravioli in December was dripping with grease, the veggie burger recently was okay but nothing special. The drinks are very expensive (1 glass of red wine 9 euros), which makes me lose my mood... I have always found the staff to be very friendly.

I lost something important there...the staff did some research and informed me. That was complex and is no longer a given!!! So the “way” of dealing seems to be right there!!!

We were booked with a group at Villa Rottweil and had a confirmed price of €27.50 per person for brunch. When it came time to pay today, the price was suddenly €29.50. The waiter was very friendly and even apologized, but he said that he unfortunately had to charge that price. It's a terrible rip-off.

Unfortunately, as a guest who just wants something to drink, you are not welcome. We were told by two employees that we should have stated this when making the reservation and that it was really unpleasant that we were now occupying a table that could have been occupied by “paying” guests. By the way, it was a Tuesday and the restaurant was half empty. We were treated as “unwanted” the entire evening. Very nice location, high prices, mostly good service but we definitely won't be coming back.

The ambience, service and food are really great 👍🏼 We were at Sunday brunch. Unfortunately it wasn't really a brunch, but rather a very good breakfast - that's why I deducted 1 star. The breakfast was really great 🤩 Great selection of different creams, antipasti, vegetables, fruit, sausage, cheese, fish, muesli,... - even pine nuts and avocado cream 😍 What is particularly noteworthy is that water and sparkling water were brought to the place and continually refilled. At lunchtime a mixed salad, cheese spaetzle and tomato rice with pike perch were added, as well as a few glasses of dessert. After breakfast started so outstandingly, it was unfortunately disappointing 😕 Even if no one is really hungry at lunch, a little more choice would have been nice. And unfortunately the dessert was gone so quickly that we couldn't get any more... Absolute recommendation for breakfast, but don't expect too much from the lunch portion.

We had a Christmas party in the villa yesterday. A huge compliment to the whole team. The food is awesome. Many thanks to the chef Marco. Quality and service are very important here. Keep it up.

With a small group of 14 people we were led into the “mosaic side room”. Not far from the entrance, every time the door was opened, an icy wind blew into the almost unfurnished room, which also had terrible acoustics. When we made our reservation, we were offered a reduced menu in advance, which was then placed on the tables. Unfortunately the entire menu without prices. The staff was very attentive at the beginning and very friendly the whole time. Our food came to the table after a short wait, for all guests almost at the same time for starters and main courses. A rump steak with home fries and a side salad was ordered. The steak was ordered medium rare and unfortunately came to the table medium to medium well, and the meat was already very cool. It should be noted that the meat was not rump or roast beef/loin, but probably cut from the rump. The typical fat cap was missing, which was clearly missing in terms of taste and tenderness. The home fries, which unfortunately turned out to be halved triplets, arrived a few minutes late, but were enough to cool the steak completely. The side salad that was served in advance was very fresh and crunchy, but was unfortunately negatively noticed by an omnipresent dressing that was probably ruined by truffle oil. €33 for a small, almost cold sirloin steak that was well over the requested cooking point, with a handful of triplets and a small salad - well over the target. The demands of the house and the result served differ widely. The attentiveness of the staff also suffered during our visit, the first drink was served shortly after 6 p.m., and there were no further questions from the staff until 7:45 p.m., which is why I decided to pay. P.S. The entire wardrobe went into the laundry as soon as we returned home because everything smelled strongly of inn and food.

We were in the villa again 2 weeks ago. Saturday evening. It was full. Service was super nice, always with a smile and a little saying. Every special request was fulfilled. Drinks great, food great. We love the ambience in the villa and will hopefully come back soon. Thanks to the team for a great evening.

Food was okay but it couldn't justify the price. The salad with pear and pomegranate was really very good but the onion roast was totally dry and the side salad had no dressing. What was worse, in my opinion, was that it was totally cold in the restaurant. We didn't want to stay any longer to end the evening nicely.

The villa is highly recommended! The food was amazing. Super tender flank steak with on point vegetable side dish and a perfect red wine sauce. For dessert there was grilled peach with chocolate tart which was also very appealing. Overall, super tasty. The service was friendly and attentive. What more could you want?

Great service and great ambience. Personally, I think the food here is a total disaster. The Thai curry tastes completely like soap (if you can't cook with coriander, you shouldn't) and I wasn't impressed with the taste of other dishes either. For me, Villa Rottweil is more of an illusion than reality. It's okay to go out for a drink

A wonderful experience – from start to finish! We had the pleasure of dining at the VILLA restaurant in Rottweil last Thursday and I can only say: it was a thoroughly successful evening! The food was fantastic – tasted great, beautifully prepared and simply a pleasure. The service was extremely courteous and friendly, so we felt comfortable right from the start. What particularly impressed me, however, was the honesty and friendliness of the team: I accidentally left my wallet in the restaurant. The next day I got a call from an incredibly friendly lady telling me that they had found the wallet. The team was also extremely friendly and helpful when picking up. This only reinforced my positive impression! For me, the VILLA is an absolute highlight, not only because of the great food, but also because of the great service and exceptional hospitality. I can fully recommend this restaurant and will definitely come back :-)

The new VILLA is always worth a visit! From espresso to champagne, simply wonderful, all dishes are freshly prepared and excellent. Went there for coffee, a good salad at lunchtime and dinner in the evening, it always tasted great. The combination of international cuisine and Swabian specialties works very well here... Furnishings are modern and elegant, this restaurant is a place to be happy, just the right place for connoisseurs!!

Very good veal schnitzel with delicious potato salad, everything seasoned well. The dishes were served on black glazed ceramic, which looked chic. The service was attentive and friendly. The outside seating was also shady and pleasant. There is a stainless steel bowl with fresh water for the dog. However, the prices tend to be in the upper segment.

We recommend the place without hesitation, we let the waiter advise us and we were right. The dishes were abundant, we had dessert but to try them because we were really satisfied with the main dishes. Excellent service and welcoming staff. You can find typical food and international dishes. The cakes are some of the best we have ever tried.

We ate there today and I have to say, the service is top notch, very friendly, and the food was excellent! We had 2 different vegetarian dishes and both were beautifully presented and really tasty and special. We actually planned to have dessert, but we were so full that we couldn't do it. We would love to come back and can only recommend the villa!

Everything fits here. Great ambience, great service and very good food. The veal fillet is very juicy and a wonderful Sauvignon Blanc from Gascony.
