Vietnamese Restaurant Anjoy in Berlin

Easy, fast and friendly even on a Friday evening. Good food.

I've never forgotten it since I visited this restaurant two years ago. It has rare screw rice noodles and I haven't had fried chicken feet for a long time. The roast chicken I had last time was also delicious, but unfortunately I didn't have it this time. The various rolls are also very special, with rich combinations. The mango duck is also delicious, the rice is also delicious, the dishes are generous, and the service attitude is also very good! Ich habe vor zwei Jahren in diesem Restaurant gegessen und denke seitdem immer wieder daran. Die Schraubennudeln (Screw Rice Noodles) sind etwas ganz Besonderes und selten zu finden. Die mango-enter war köstlich, ebenso der Reis. Die Portionen sind großzügig und der Service ist sehr freundlich. Ich komme gerne wieder!

I spontaneously visited on Wednesday 9/4 around 7:30 p.m. for a first date. We first ordered a bottle of still water, a soda as drinks, Anjoy's Honey Salad, Ho Tay's Shrimp Cake as a starter and the main duck bowl. First dish of salad and shrimp cake was ok, but with duck bowl, duck meat unfortunately smelled and noodle was very mushy, I couldn't eat more than 2 spoons and had to leave it behind, and order shrimp cake again, there is hair in it.. I know that there is usually a lot of work in the kitchen and effort is put into making the food, but what I experienced was absolutely no go. Unfortunately a very bad experience for me, I would never visit again.

The price-performance ratio is definitely a bit questionable. The food tastes good, but is very straightforward. The service is friendly and attentive. Unfortunately (we were there as a group) the overview was lost and so there was no starter for me. I would visit the restaurant again, even for a B rehearsal

It was an absolutely amazing brunch for me at Anjoy Restaurant on Sunday. From 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. you can feast on Vietnamese to your heart's content for €22 per (adult) person. There is a very extensive range from soup to finger food, rice, pasta, various hot dishes, sauces/dips, fruit, cakes and ice cream. A large, spacious shop that is comfortably furnished and comes across as a bit old/shabby, which in my opinion seems intentional and brings with it a certain charm. I was greeted by a very friendly young lady (immediately after entering the restaurant) who immediately accompanied me to my table. A drink order could also be placed immediately and it didn't take long for my cocktail to reach me. I really enjoyed the food and it tasted excellent throughout. Everything was constantly replenished and things like chicken wings or summer rolls (finger food) were constantly replenished. The restaurant was relatively clean and not too dark. I would definitely come back, thank you for the great food and service. Best regards

What a gem! Best meal I’ve had in Berlin so far. Highly recommend this Vietnamese restaurant! The summer rolls and vegetarian crispy rolls are delicious. For mains I recommend either the “Bo xao chao gang”(Beef on pan) or the “Bun bo nam bo”(Beef bowl).

We dined here yesterday, and unfortunately, the experience fell short of expectations. The food was too salty and heavy on artificial garlic, which masked the flavors rather than enhancing them. Additionally, the papaya in the salad was unripe, which could have been communicated beforehand as I would have happily ordered something else. I hope the team considers refining their recipes or communicating honestly is a product is not up to standards. It happens and that's fine. With some improvements, this place could better live up to its high ratings.

That was a delicious taste experience, very authentic. The service was very friendly. We would love to come back when we are in Berlin. We were there again today and can only repeat the great impression!

We were there for the buffet. Let's just say it was okay. But nothing that will knock your socks off. Unfortunately at that price. Absolutely not recommended for vegetarians, yes there are things that contain tofu, but overall meat of all kinds predominates. Even in the salad, in the soup. That's really a real shame. We basically couldn't even eat half of it. Unfortunately, the cakes are all from Coppenrath, not bad per se, but some of them are still frozen. Price performance is simply not right. The dishes that didn't contain meat were okay but not great either.

Ok this: drank a glass of wine. Fly lands in the wine glass, super disgusting. Operation gives me a completely new glass. How polite and courteous is that?! In addition, the wine was very tasty and the atmosphere in the store was great.

Reservation at 13.00, for a max stay for 2 hrs. Brunch buffet is served from 11.00-15.00. After arriving nothing, literally nothing, has been freshly replenished. We left after 30 minutes. It was a total disappointment, after finding this brunch on a ‘top 10 - Berlin brunch’ list. After asking for fresh food (because everything was dry and cold) the bartender told me the buffet starts at 11.00. Ja, duhhh! So no help at all. There are way more better brunch spots and Vietnamese restaurants in this wonderful city!

A restaurant with authentic cuisine that my Vietnamese companion invited me to - everything was delicious and fresh and tasted very good. The service staff was attentive and friendly and we had a very nice time. Thank you very much for that 🙂

We had the buffet, but unfortunately it wasn't properly filled. It's a shame because the food was really tasty.

I can only judge the Sunday brunch at 11 a.m. (store opening). Ordering the drinks took forever because no one came for a long time. After everyone had apparently placed their drink orders, the rush to the buffet began. At this point, however, it must be said that it is very difficult to set up a buffet where people can spread out. Accordingly, the queue was very long and it took a while. Later it was more relaxed and there were no long queues at the buffet. The food was good overall. A drawback for me, but probably a matter of taste, is that spicy things like kimchi or a dish with red curry were not spicy at all, not even a little spicy. Conclusion: If I go to brunch again, I will probably make a reservation at a later date.

Restaurant, food, and service are great. The newly-imported, all-American tip request by tablet is very, very irritating, and it denounces the place as catering to American tourists. You earned 3€ and lost a customer.

Super nice restaurant in Prenzlauer Berg. Came in here spontaneously and were received really well. The atmosphere is really wonderful when you walk in! We had appetizers and drinks within 10 minutes - they were also really delicious. The main courses also came quickly and were amazing, great portions, super fresh and incredibly tasty! It can definitely stand out among the many other restaurants in Berlin due to its quality, ambience and price-performance ratio. Will definitely come here again!

What a great restaurant! Cozy, authentic, super nice staff. The owner makes her own chili sauce and takes the time to chat if you show interest in your food. The daughter then gives tips for the next Vietnam vacation and the food is excellent. Next time there will be hot pot with friends, I'm looking forward to it!!!

Excellent Vietnamese restaurant with good selection of different meals. Very nice part of menu with special plates. Prices are very reasonable as a addition advantage for this restaurant. They have different options for seating, for small and big groups of guests.

The Pho is really good. High quality ingredients. Interesting variations. Our expectations were exceeded.

The tastiest thing I've eaten in a long time. We were really positively surprised, even though I had specifically chosen the restaurant because it had a 4.7 rating. Exceeded expectations. Everything is right here. Service: friendly and quick. Ambience: very pleasant. Price: worth every cent. Conclusion: Definitely give it a try.

We actually had a nice evening with the family, but it wasn't so nice when the bill came up. Absolutely rude and unfriendly behavior from the staff. My grandfather paid the bill and gave a tip, which apparently wasn't enough for the waitress. He literally slammed €5 on the table and said very unkindly “you can keep it” after saying “that’s not enough for me”. Absolutely no service was offered, not even asked how the food tasted, nor asked whether drinks needed to be brought in, etc. The order was simply taken and delivered. With such poor service, I can't expect a “good” tip. Apart from that, you never know whether the people who visit a restaurant always have that much money, some families have to save for a long time to be able to afford something and such behavior is absolutely inappropriate. We will never come here again, there are enough better Vietnamese in Berlin (also right around the corner).

Had our tip thrown at us by the waiter wearing shorts because he didn't like it, which in my opinion is a catch, which is not acceptable at all. Not recommended due to staff!!!

My food was on the table after 5 minutes, the waitress was very friendly and the crunchy spring rolls tasted incredible! The whole thing for €6! I can only recommend :)

I had dinner with a friend today and we were both bitterly disappointed. They looked in vain for peanuts in their duck dish and then there was spaghetti, very untypical for a Vietnamese... My duck was, well, that's how it went, the rice was bone hard, the vegetables were actually the tastiest. And then another thing, the soft drink prices are overpriced in my opinion. I can only say wow for 0.4 liters of cherry juice for €5.50. This restaurant won't see us again

Ambiance okay, the rest underground. The food was boring because it was German-Vietnamese, expensive (over €90 for three main courses, a salad and a small starter), beef was tough, the composition of the dishes was questionable, the seating was very uncomfortable, the service was really bad, all the staff behaved like children Then you were forced to tip at least 8%, messy, it's clear that no one cares about the guests. Never again!!!

I went to anjoy today to test the legendary “Flying Noodles” and unfortunately I was completely disappointed. The waiter came to the table without a word, I placed my order and he left without a word, which irritated me a bit. The food came relatively quickly and the wait wasn't long. In terms of taste, the food was okay, but not a high-flyer either. Unfortunately, I discovered that the guest's illusion is clearly being played with here. It's a shame, because these noodles are actually poured over with hot fat over and over again, so that at some point they stand on their own. So in the end you have a mix of boiled and fried noodles on your plate, which should be very digestible with various other side dishes. I also went to the toilet, where unfortunately there was only light in the anteroom. There was no light switch to be found, so I had to use my flashlight on my cell phone. The hand dryer didn't work, and unfortunately there were no alternative towels. The guest’s pants do the trick too. When you collected the money, you weren't thanked for your tip or wished you a nice evening. There wasn't a friendly smile or a "goodbye" either, so I probably won't come back again. It's a shame, but there's a better way, dear anjoy team.

Visited Anjoy today and was unfortunately very disappointed. The dish I ordered tasted okay and since I was still hungry, I ordered the mango salad. Unfortunately it had white threads, so I sent the salad back. The waitress then wanted to explain to me that these were absolutely normal and didn't want to take the dish back. My friend had also forgotten her thermos cup there, 10 minutes later we returned and the guests who were now sitting at our place said the waitress had taken the cup with her. The waitress again said she didn't have the cup. She had probably thrown the cup away. Unfortunately I don't recommend it

We were here during our lunch break and ate something from the lunch menu. As a starter there was either soup or mini spring rolls for lunch. I had a tofu bowl with zucchini noodles and a homemade soda. Everything tasted very good. Overall, there are many vegetarian or vegan dishes and the price was very good for the quantity. The waitress was friendly and we didn't have to wait long for our food. A really recommendable shop, although of course, given the number of good Asian restaurants in the area, nothing particularly special.

I got a noodle soup with seafood, mushrooms and vegetables. Absolutely tasteless ingredients; the noodles looked like overcooked spaghetti. Cost 18 euros. Very very poor quality of food and disproportionate prices.

Unfortunately a disappointment. Despite the positive reviews, the service was terrible, especially from what seemed like the owner and I would have turned a blind eye, but the food was also poor quality. It seemed pre-cooked and the taste also left something to be desired, to say the least. Only the girl who brought us the bill was kind, decidedly high for a couple of appetizers and two drinks.

Very tasty, fresh and healthy. We will be back. At the latest for brunch on Sunday.

All you can eat buffets can definitely feel more like they prioritise quantity over quality, but definitely didn't feel like that was the case here. Really solid variety of food, as well as cakes, ice cream and fruits for dessert. Drinks aren't included, but it's super worth to get an iced vietnamese coffee on the side! Every Sunday between 11AM and 3PM, 22€!

Flying noodles with beef or chicken very tasty. The best Lillet Wild Berry in the city..with fresh berries. Waiters were always very nice when I visited. 1 year later H10 ordered again. Unfortunately a lot of gristly pieces and for 17€. In the interior, folding chairs are very wobbly.

If you like Vietnamese food, you will love Anjoy.

- delicious food - poor service -> the service on site was very unfriendly - outrageously high prices! -> for a 0.5l drink €5.50 / 0.75l water €7.50! Conclusion: There are simply much better Asian restaurants in Berlin that don't advertise outrageously high prices.

I had a dinner with friends in this restaurant. It looks nice and we tried different dishes, overall the food was average. The prices are a bit on the high end and portions are relatively small. I did not like that the waiter was asking for a tip to each one of us when paying, that was too direct and quite inelegant, especially when in a group. In general it's not a bad restaurant but surely not even memorable and a bit too much money oriented. I hope to change my mind if I happen to go there again and give them some of the missing stars. But I don't think it'll happen anytime soon.

We were here as a group for brunch. Something completely different and extremely tasty. Service was also excellent.

I've been to the restaurant a few times and everything is quite okay. Today I brought a friend to eat and had a really bad experience. My friend ordered a bowl of noodle soup with snails (clearly stating that he did not eat beef and wanted more snails). When the food arrived, he asked the waitress and said, I ordered more snails, why are there so few? The waitress replied that I only ordered her a normal bowl because adding snails meant she had to pay more (all three sisters looked at each other bewilderedly, it was obvious she ordered more???) When paying for the bowl of vermicelli. The snail dish is 23€, I asked the male waiter why it was so expensive? The younger brother explained that normal snail vermicelli costs 17€, hers with snails is 23€ (the two waiters each said the same thing). The three sisters were still normal, just wondering that's all, so the restaurant owner appeared and asked. interrogate too? WHO WHO SAID IT IS EXPENSIVE? HER HOUSE'S BUNCH IS FULL TOPPING, YOU COME IN THE SPRING FIELD TO EAT NOTHING FOR 15, 16€, she scolded you a bunch and then turned away without even listening to the customer's explanation. It's so barbaric, everyone.

Great Vietnamese restaurant. For lunch we ate a vegetable tofu curry with soup, sweet potato fries and summer rolls and drank detox water (with fresh cucumber and mint in a carafe) and mineral water. The food was very tasty and fresh. In total we paid just under 25 euros. Top quality at a good price and a great ambience!

Our first meal in a Vietnamese restaurant, at Anjoy Prenzlauer Berg. We ordered 2 small beers and first studied the dishes we were familiar with. As a starter we ordered 3 summer rolls and I ordered chruny shrimp cake. Afterwards we decided on the Anjoy platter with roasted bacon and mango duck. We also liked the dishes. The service was really very friendly and the atmosphere was cozy.

If you want Vietnamese food look elsewhere - this not anything like authentic taste. The owner asks for specifics. How about fish sauce, lemongrass , cardamom, cinnamon, oyster sauce, chiles, shallots, etc etc etc

The Sunday brunch is great! For the business… As a customer I found it really average and would not repeat.

Even the worst table etiquette can't disguise the fact that the only meal is noodles and tofu. The owner's apology cannot cover up the poor quality of the food. Furthermore, the owner of the restaurant showed a disturbing level of rudeness towards guests, downplaying their complaints and paying little attention to them

i mean, even if im on crack i can still see that this portion only cost less than 5€ for the materials and they sell it for 40€? Maybe the owner of this restaurant was high on something and then put this insane price for this. After the feedback about this ridiculous price, they even told us as the customer that “if you poor guy can not pay 40€ for this, then go somewhere lower class that fit yourself”. What a “nice” way to treat their customer. Thank you for claiming the first spot in my restaurant blacklist.

A meal with only noodles and beans costs 40€. My mistake when ordering was forgetting to ask what was in it. Because I think the noodle soup with tofu and shrimp paste is the same everywhere.

Yesterday's visit left us with mixed feelings. While the food was undeniably delicious, our experience was marred by the unfortunate discovery of hair in both of our plates. Regrettably, no apology was extended, and to our dismay, the dishes weren't replaced. The situation escalated as staff discussed it in a language we didn't understand, adding to our discomfort. Despite our efforts to address the issue politely, we were met with indifference, leaving us feeling unfairly blamed. As we tried to wish them a nice evening and a goodbye, we were ignored as well. Such lapses in hygiene understandably dampened our appetite, and the offer to pay half for partially consumed dishes did little to rectify the situation. Sadly, this experience has deterred us from returning.

I especially cannot recommend the Sunday brunch in this restaurant. First of all, immediately after a TikTok influencer video appeared, the prices were increased by a whopping 10% from 20 to 22 euros (drinks are extra). In addition, everything is designed for the maximum milking of customers. So you always have to queue at the back of the buffet, even if the front part is free. The employees aggressively point this out to you. This means that you have to queue for around 15 minutes for each round. There are about 30 tables for four, so you can easily imagine the length of the line. The plates are kept extra small so that you have to queue more often. The buffet looks good at first glance, but at second glance you realize that it largely consists of very filling side dishes such as noodles and pasta. The rest consists of inexpensive vegetables prepared in various ways and low-quality meat. The pork consists largely of rind and fat, well concealed by thick sauces. In my opinion, the price-performance ratio is below average.

Dear service, we sat there for a relatively long time because of the relaxed atmosphere. There were two specials and a pasta dish with grilled meat. The taste was ok, a bit bland. The herbs and salads were fresh.

The place seemed clean, the men's toilets had no privacy from the outside, the food wasn't warm or cooled down quickly. There was no breakfast for brunch, no bread, no cheese, no sausage.

In many ways, as not all, this restaurant is a must and a highlight of the Vietnamese kitchen. Highly recommended!

For the fourth time a week in Berlin. Visited many different restaurants. I think this is one of the best restaurants in town. Meat and vegetarian, more than enough choice. Price-quality is excellent! Atmospheric, original and very friendly staff. It's a 10 minute walk from the tram stop, but it's more than worth it. Don't forget the delicious desserts and Vietnamese coffee with condensed milk. We will definitely come back next time. Greetings from the Netherlands

Was here for brunch. Food was OK. But there aren't a lot of vegetarian options, so you should pay attention to that if you eat here with someone who eats vegetarian food. Unfortunately no traditional dessert either, but baked Danube wave and other cakes (some still frozen) and ice cream from the supermarket... vanilla and vanilla with chocolate or walnut pieces. Phó was a small puddle, so you can't sell it as pho made with glass noodles. So all in all it was okay, you shouldn't expect too much. Wouldn't come here again for brunch.
