Viet Village Restaurant Pasing in München

It's outrageous to charge €15 for a vegetarian vegetable soup. When I asked if I could have some rice noodles added, the waitress rolled her eyes and told me to order a different soup. When I asked what the problem was, she said I'd have to pay extra. Next to me were two lovely ladies who kept complaining that we were laughing – perhaps the tables shouldn't be placed so close together. Overall, the food is good, but the prices are outrageous – completely unjustified. Unfortunately, it's not worth visiting again.

I was craving pho and Viet Village served me a very delicious bowl. The service here is so nice and professional. The Viet coffee was phenomenal. Even the little coffee cup it came in was so cute! The decorations in the restaurant was very elegant. Small restaurant which made it very cozy. Also got some iced beverages with the mango sticky rice for dessert. Everything about this meal was superb. I'd 100% would recommend!

The lunch dishes offer really good value for money. The portions are also a bit larger in the evenings.

We were there for the first time today, October 27, 2025. Make sure to reserve in advance, otherwise you won't get a seat. The food was excellent, both the starter and main course.

Unfortunately, the prices have become very expensive; main courses with meat start at €21. Service was poor, and we left without ordering.

From the moment we walked in, we could sense the Vietnamese owner's apathy and impatience. After we were seated, menus were delayed. What was most irritating was the obvious discrepancy in treatment. The owner was cheerful and attentive to a table of Germans sitting next to us. However, when it came to our table (Chinese), not only was our attitude brusque, but we were even given only one serving of the most basic sauce (for two people). This double standard of service based on a customer's ethnicity was unacceptable.

Unfortunately, it didn't taste good at all. The meat was raw, fatty, and the parade was tough.

The male waiter is friendly, but the female owner is downright rude. She takes my small order, then clears the plates before I pay, making it impossible to compare sizes, and then insists I ordered a large. She also silently added a 10% tip. Is it considered tipping to add a tip without asking when I didn't provide any service? This is truly unethical business etiquette. Be careful.

Very good restaurant with great food. We had chicken with tamarind and noodles with tofu, along with two cocktails, one non-alcoholic. Friendly, fast service. Really well-prepared food, and we like the atmosphere.

Every inch of available space is utilized. At a table for two, conversations at neighboring tables are clearly audible due to the proximity (about 30 cm). Apparently very popular, as it's overcrowded and therefore correspondingly loud. The service is attentive, but occasionally has language barriers. The food is beautifully presented and of good quality.

I was at Viet Village — the duck dish was delicious and the atmosphere cozy; the service was polite, but very busy on weekends (reservations recommended).

The food was very good, but the rest was questionable. We had made a reservation five days in advance without any indication of a time limit. Immediately upon arrival, before we had even sat down, the waiter informed us that the table would be free for a maximum of two hours. After our meal, we were immediately brought the bill without being asked, just a good hour later. The table next to us had the same experience; apparently, it's standard procedure. We've always enjoyed eating here, but that's over today.

20250901_at the beginning of autumn to Vietnam, short light lunch break in the heart of Pasing, staff were friendly and service was very quick, advantage is that lunch is also open on Mondays, quite tight outside area, very close seating.

Lunch was delicious, good selection and fair prices

None of us found the food particularly tasty, and the prices weren't exactly cheap either.

We were there today half an hour before the afternoon break. The owner immediately pressured us to order right away. The food came very quickly, but my wife's portion of noodles was so small that she was still hungry afterward. There was even a piece of plastic in my rice – that shouldn't happen. We only went because of all the good reviews, and we really can't figure out how they came about.

The two of us just had dinner here. The ambiance itself was quite nice in the evening, but when the waiter came to take our order, he was obviously not fully focused. I ordered spring rolls for starters, but instead of pointing out the different varieties, he brought me some with pork, which I don't prefer. Anyway, we ordered chicken for the main course, but duck came instead. After we pointed this out to the waiter/owner, he tried to convince us that it was chicken. So he obviously denied it. We paid and left. We will therefore avoid this restaurant from now on.

Very tasty food and generous portions. Service was attentive, helpful, and polite. The garden is beautifully landscaped. The only downside for guests is that it's usually busy and therefore rather noisy. Be sure to make a reservation. Otherwise, everything was very good.

Very nice Vietnamese restaurant. Service was excellent. Decent value for money. We had Mango duck salad and Shrimp wontons with a shared mains of Chicken with veggies and lemon grass. Quantities were very good. Food was simple and very tasty.

Excellent food and reasonable prices. The staff was rather uncompassionate. The place was packed and very, very loud, so it was almost impossible to have a conversation.

The otherwise beautifully decorated restaurant is so loud that it's impossible to have a conversation. The tables are barely spaced apart. What bothered us most, however, was the listlessness and unfriendliness of the staff. This kind of service is simply unacceptable, no matter how delicious the food is. A real shame!

Not recommended. Yesterday, I was horrified to discover that there were black flies in my food. They brought me the same meal a second time, but again there was a fly in it. I complained again, but they neither apologized nor offered compensation. I had to pay the full price. Sorry, but that was inappropriate behavior!

Authentic Vietnamese. The staff is a bit reserved. If you come often, you'll receive a friendly welcome. Very fresh, excellent food. I particularly like the bun dishes (lukewarm noodle dishes with salad). It's usually busy, so it's best to make a reservation. Children are welcome.

By far the best Vietnamese restaurant in Munich west area

My review is because they added a 10% tip to the bill without saying anything. Unfortunately, I noticed it too late. That's extremely unfair. Be careful!

We love eating here. The food is fresh and delicious. The pho bo is the best in town. Aromatic broth, tender meat, fresh herbs, simply perfect. Unfortunately, the allergen labeling is completely inaccurate. My offer to help them with their gluten-related questions has so far been of no interest to anyone. It's a shame, as we can never come with a large group or with our children, as our daughter has celiac disease and we need to know exactly what's going on. A shame!

Really good food and very friendly staff. The peanut sauce (and the rest of the food) is simply amazing.

I had lunch. Hence, my review is based on a very little selection "Mittagsmenu" The service was "extremely fast", even if they could have smiled a bit more... I had the "Bo Bun Menu" without soup because I wasn't that hungry: still had to pay for it! I think it isn't nice: a bit inflexible... The Bo Bun was okay... I'll be back to try the larger selection on the evening menu.

This has been our favorite Asian restaurant for years. The dishes are delicious and absolutely authentic. It's a bit crowded when you eat in, and you should definitely make a reservation in the evenings. You can also order takeout. You can do this by phone or online. There are special lunch specials.

Last night on March 16, 25 around 7:45 p.m. my family & I (four of us) went out to eat at Viet Village on a reservation that was originally planned for five people. We left the place well served, full and satisfied at around 9:30 p.m. The next day (today) my parents feared that, when they looked back closely at the costs incurred, they had accidentally paid too much in relation to what was actually ordered. They had not been provided with detailed receipts and felt progressively more and more insecure and financially disadvantaged in this regard. To get clarity, I went there for my parents and talked about it semi-discreetly with an available waiter. He remained calm and polite. After all relevant details about the case had been exchanged, the gentleman had the detailed invoice printed out retroactively and guided me plausibly, patiently and calmly through the menu card and the process of the company's standardized accounting. In the end, it quickly and clearly became clear that NO MISTAKE had been made by the staff and that my parents' fears and my premature impulse to distrust were completely unjustified. I would like to take this opportunity to sincerely apologize to the entire company (including the staff) for the inconvenience and thank you for the friendly service and the particularly good food! Conclusion: This restaurant is hospitable, patient, professional, delicious and I can only recommend it. Thanks for the good service!

Incredibly tasty, but a bit expensive

Overall too expensive. The shrimp dishes for 22.50 euros contain just 3 (!) shrimp. In the evenings it is usually very loud and very crowded, and there is an unpleasant smell of Asian food, which tastes good but is unfortunately quite greasy. What I also don't like is the shift work introduced to maximize profits.

I chose lunch and was pleasantly surprised that it wasn't economical, as is often the case. Also very friendly staff and delicious food.

We love going to Viet Village because the food is really excellent. The male waiters are very polite, but unfortunately the one female waiter is an absolute disaster. Extremely unfriendly, disinterested and incompetent. She doesn't even manage to point out to the guest that the starter contains prawns, even though they specifically asked for the main course to be without seafood.

Super tasty, fresh and authentic food. Very good price-performance ratio and nice staff. I can only recommend it.

Excellent, spicy Asian cuisine; good lunch menu that offers something for every taste. In the evening it is crowded and loud, so make sure you make a reservation. When the temperatures are warm, you can sit comfortably in the terraced garden. The service is unobtrusive but not very personal.

Hello everyone, Last week I went to this restaurant for dinner with a friend for the second time. The quality of the food is excellent, the ambience is very nice, although a bit cramped, especially when it's full, the coziness quickly disappears. What I really criticize, however, is the given time window of two hours. This creates a subtle “pressure”. If you order something else, the waiter will tell you when it is “time out”. Unfortunately, my friend was 20 minutes late that evening, so the time frame was further reduced. As we heard, there was also dissatisfaction with this provision at the next table. Further note: The friendliness of the employees Service could still be improved.

We've been there a few times and the food has always been above average and plentiful. The service is friendly and discreet. I like the ambience and although it was always busy, it wasn't cramped and noisy.

Nice little restaurant. (A little tight due to the small size). The food was very good. The dishes were attractively presented and the seasoning was balanced and rounded.

The food is whole, I can't recommend aperitifs (the spritz is without spritz ;) ) unfortunately it takes RBIs to be served, although that wasn't so much the case on our first visit. Too bad. Unfortunately, the staff has apparently become more and more unmotivated over time and it sometimes takes an extremely long time to order, reorder something or pay because they simply don't come or you are ignored (with what feels like 6 other guests). The awning is simply raised and everything on it ends up in the plate, on the hair without apology or consideration, people forget to put dessert on the bill and are rudely called back in front of all the other guests (even though the tip would have outweighed that and the guilt). of the restaurant). A hidden gem! Just a little away from the center of Pasing and an absolute recommendation! The spice of the food is fantastic. If you ask for some extra chili, you get a small bowl of freshly cut fire peppers. The way the food is presented leaves you wanting more (the duck and mango salad, for example, came in a large wooden shell). Even the aperitifs are staged. The staff is very friendly and quick. The toilets in the basement are sparkling clean. The garden outside is idyllic. Here we go again. The only thing that is not for everyone is the slightly higher price. The two of us enjoyed ourselves with two starters, two main courses, a dessert, a large bottle of water and 3 aperitifs - for ~100 EUR. But it's worth it too!

Food was good, but far too expensive for the quantity and quality. Otherwise nice location, with garden and fountain. Well attended, reservation recommended.

I would give the food 4.5 stars, but unfortunately the service was anything but attentive. We waited 25 minutes before we could even place the order. And also for other drinks etc. We had to draw attention to ourselves more often.

Delicious food, great ambience but questionable service The restaurant impresses with outstanding food and a stylish ambience. The dishes impress with their taste and quality, and the restaurant invites you to linger. Unfortunately, the young waitress overcharged us during our visit. She didn't respond to the tip professionally, but instead gave us the feeling that we had to have a guilty conscience. The incident marred what was otherwise a perfect experience. Training in service would really make the restaurant highly recommended.

Pho bo is passable, but we understand that it’s very difficult to find truly authentic pho in Germany, so it’s forgivable. The rice with beef is excellent, even better than the steaks we had during our trip. The spring rolls and salads as side dishes are also tasty. The prices are reasonable—not cheap, but not too expensive, considering it’s a restaurant and not a fast-food imbiss. The atmosphere is cozy. Parking on the street outside is free, but it can be crowded.

Almost everything tastes extremely good here, the sauces are super aromatic and the vegetables are seasonal and fresh. There are great, interesting types of lemonade. Also super cozy and mostly nice waiters. In the evening it is very crowded and expensive. But at lunchtime you can eat cheaper and more relaxed there.

We came across the Viet Village through friends and were there for the first time yesterday. I really like the atmosphere there, but I have to say that it can get louder there. The tables are very close together, which makes the whole room seem a lot smaller. We were served quite quickly and the food came very quickly. The menu offers something for every taste. In any case, we found what we were looking for very quickly 👍. The starters were very good (especially the soup and the satay skewers with prawns). The main course was also very good. The duck was very well baked and, above all, it was good meat. We've also had duck that had more fat than anything else. By the way, the homemade strawberry-mint lemonade was particularly delicious 👌 All in all there is nothing to complain about. If you come by car, you may have to look for a parking space a bit, but eventually you'll find it 😉

Not listening to the conversation from the next table is almost impossible because there is only 30cm distance between the tables. The staff seemed rather annoyed to us and were anything but friendly. For example, they simply slapped our drinks in the middle of the table without asking who had which drink. The drinks glasses also stuck to the stem. Regarding the food, unfortunately I have to admit that the price/performance ratio doesn't really fit. For the price you expect a little more All in all, I unfortunately cannot recommend the restaurant.

Was there for dinner. Food/Drinks were good, presentation good, atmosphere good, service ok. A random waiter at the end made a joke about my gf in front of all the other wait staff as we left. Still didn't understand what he said but man did it get awkward. Recommend the restaurant only if that waiter is kept on bar duty and away from customers.

The food seemed fresh and was very tasty, so I can highly recommend the Viet Village!
