Ich war fünfmal dort, es war gemütlich und einladend, das Essen war lecker und ich hatte nie Magenbeschwerden.

Die Nudeln waren schon lange gekocht und nur aufgewärmt! Es war furchtbar. Und obendrein akzeptieren sie keine Kartenzahlung!

Service unfreundlich, Essen war auch nicht gut. Wurde ruppig angemotzt als ich reinkam, nur barzahlung möglich und an die Tür verwiesen zum Warten. Kann den Laden nicht weiter empfehlen.

Bo Oi ist einer meiner Lieblings-Vietnamesen in der Nähe der Uni, und ich kann besonders die gebratenen Nudeln empfehlen. Von 12:00 bis 15:00 Uhr gibt es Mittagsangebote mit vielen Nudelgerichten unter 10 €, perfekt für Studierende. Die Portionen sind großzügig, das Hähnchen zart und die knusprig gebratenen Schalotten obendrauf sorgen für ein tolles Aroma. Wenn es schnell gehen muss oder man zur Uni muss, gibt es Nudelboxen zum Mitnehmen – super praktisch! Und wer es lieber etwas leichter mag, sollte den vietnamesischen Nudelsalat probieren: frisch, aromatisch und mit einer leckeren, pikanten Fischsauce. Kurz gesagt: lecker, günstig, schnell – ein idealer Vietnameser für Studierende.

Für Studenten sinnvoll: Plastik Tulpen auf dem Tresen über dem ein Schild hängt: Nur Barzahlung. Ob hier die Bücher genauso schnell gekocht werden wie das Essen, muss das FA ermitteln. Mir soll es egal sein, denn das Preisleistungsverzeichnis könnte durch Exzellenz ausgezeichnet werden wie so manch eine Universität Münchens. Das Gewinnerlächeln hat sich die Frau im Service also höchst verdient. Denn das was die in der Fensterfront ausgehängten Gerichte beschreiben wird gehalten und dabei schneller bereitgestellt als ein Bier auf der Wisesn!

Auf den ersten Blick wirkte es wie ein kleines, gewöhnliches vietnamesisches Restaurant. Ich war etwas skeptisch, als wir hineingingen. Aber meine Sorgen waren unbegründet. Das Essen war wirklich ausgezeichnet, schon der Salat war köstlich. Die Zutaten waren gut, das Fleisch perfekt zubereitet. Vielleicht lag es nur am Bier … aber das ist in München ja eher selten.

I love Bo Oi. The prices are super fair, the food is delicious, and the owner, while a bit gruff, is actually a sweetheart. It's especially affordable at lunch, and pre-ordering works great, too. I especially recommend the red curry (the chicken and tofu are both delicious). Tip: Cash only.

The food is good, but the owner is very unfriendly. We sat down at a table and, before everyone had finished eating, were urged to leave quickly because the next guests were already waiting. We were told to just pick up the food and not block a table. We were asked to clear our own dishes. Nevertheless, we were charged an additional €5.50 for table service. When we pointed out that this was a very high amount considering there was no table service, we were yelled at.

The worst service of my life. We were chased away from the table while we were still eating, had to clear our table ourselves, and had to pay a 5.50 service charge on top of our bill for this poor service. Afterwards, we were yelled at.

Truly the best Vietnamese food in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern. We eat there often and always enjoy it.

Gem in the art district! Best value for money in the area. The Pad Thai is highly recommended. I'm not particularly convinced by Munich's food offerings, but you can't go wrong here.

Service is great but bun cha is not authentic

The two of us were there for lunch; it wasn't too busy, and we found a good spot inside. We had the No. 15 Bun Bo Nam Bo (rice noodles with fried beef, vegetables, and herbs) and the M5 (fried tofu with vegetables in oyster sauce and rice) from the lunch menu. Both were delicious, with large portions and fair prices! The service was also very friendly. We'd be happy to go again :)

This restaurant is located near the campus and the U2 station. The food is inexpensive by Munich standards, but the taste is average — once I even suspected the broccoli was still raw. I understand that the waitress was busy, but that’s no excuse for being impolite or rude to customers. There were only three guests in the restaurant, including myself (the other two were already eating), yet she interrupted me 3 times, walked away, dismissed my attempts to ask a short question, and didn't even let me finish a full sentence. All I wanted was to ask a question about the menu, which wasn’t clearly written. In the end, I didn’t get the dish I actually wanted — which is exactly why I needed to ask her in the first place. Even when speaking to a complete stranger on the street, one wouldn’t behave with such rudeness. This wasn’t just a lack of service — it was a lack of basic respect. One of the three stars for food is purely for the low price.

Unfriendly owner/waitress and standard food. I asked if there was a socket to charge my cell phone, and the waitress said very rudely that they didn't have one. Then I discovered one under my table and when I plugged the charging cable in there, the owner/waitress came straight to me and said that I wasn't allowed to charge in the restaurant... The food was also eaten quickly and there was no time taken for the guest. I don't have to go there again.

I was shocked at the treatment we received at this restaurant. Me and my friends (7-8 people) went here to have a meal together. After we sat down, I noticed that the table still had leftover food from the previous guest. I then took one of the napkins that was on the table to clean my area and passed another napkin to my friend so she could clean her area as well. When the waitress came to take the order, she noticed the used napkins on the table and reacted completely inappropriately. She asked me in an aggressive tone, “What did you do with the napkins?” I calmly explained that I cleaned the table because it was dirty. She then became even louder and angrier and told me that napkins are only for cleaning mouths, not for cleaning tables. She pointedly held up a rag and said it was intended for cleaning the tables. I was completely speechless. Firstly, the napkins were plain white paper napkins that are standard in every restaurant - so why would using them to clean a dirty table be a problem? Secondly, it was the restaurant's responsibility to keep the tables clean. If this had been done properly, I wouldn't have had to use the napkins at all. Thirdly, as a guest, I had no way of knowing that she wanted to clean the table with a rag - I was just trying to create a hygienic environment for myself and my friends. After I expressed my displeasure with her reaction, the waitress became even angrier and asked us to leave the restaurant. We were completely appalled by this rude and disrespectful treatment and left the restaurant without ordering anything. I have never had such an experience in a restaurant in Munich. We were prepared to spend a good sum of money here, but this unfriendly and unprofessional treatment spoiled our appetite. I will definitely not recommend this restaurant.

Worst experience at a restaurant in a long time!! We came for lunch and ordered rice with curry and rice with chicken & peanut sauce. At first the waitress (presumably the owner) seemed friendly, the food came quickly and looked good at first glance. Shortly afterwards, when we looked closely, we were horrified to discover small beetles in both dishes. We sorted out the first few on a napkin, but as we found more and more, we politely asked the waitress about it and didn't want to make a big scene. The waitress immediately contradicted us and insisted that they were not insects but rather pieces of peanuts. Having the audacity to deny the obvious in front of guests is beyond cheeky, especially since no peanuts were used in either dish. Our food was then taken to the kitchen. Assuming that we would get new food, we waited for a good half hour and were surprised why other guests who had just arrived were already being served the same dish. When we asked whether we would get anything else, the waitress replied strictly with “No”. I find it unparalleled insolence to treat guests like this and leave them sitting and I am so disappointed by such behavior. Not only absolutely unacceptable hygiene conditions, but also subterranean treatment of guests cause me to leave such a review. It's a shame not to even have the decency to admit a mistake, but rather to arrogance accuse the guest of lying...

What a lovely little restaurant, cheap tasty food with big servings and big smiles, lovely atmosphere too! Plenty of vegan/ vegetarian options too.

I do really like the food here( I have Asian heritage).the food is on point ,tastes as always so delicious.The owners are also very very friendly and welcoming.

We ordered the student deal. It tasted like it was reheated after being 3 days in the fridge. The waitress, which I think is also the owner of the restaurant was kinda rude and assumed we couldn’t afford much.

If you are Asian, please don't come here.. you will be more appreciated in other Asian restaurant in Munich. They are not welcome, the way they treat you very bad and differently compare with local people. They are not polite, eventhough they are Asian too. I don't know why, shame on them..

Best Vietnamese restaurant in Munich. I've been there more than 6 times. I was completely satisfied every time. As a recommendation, choose a crispy chicken or duck with peanut sauce or soy sauce. Serve with a lichee or mango plaice. Mango salad as an appetizer

A cute little Vietnamese restaurant tucked away in the corner. Doesn’t look like much but the dishes are yummy, the interior is cute and the service is very friendly. Just remember to bring cash as they unfortunately don’t accept cards.
