Had spring rolls and duck with curry sauce and a wonderful cup of Vietnamese coffee everything was great. The service and conversations about Vietnam and the world in general were appreciated. Please go here you will not be disappointed.

Excellent food and drinks, even over the years. The unique thing here is that many dishes can be ordered with vegetarian chicken or beef, which tastes really good. And when the sun is shining, it's the most beautiful place in Berlin for me to enjoy the dishes from the inexpensive lunch menu.

The best pho in the neighborhood! Lots, fresh, delicious. And super nice and good service. I like the calm manner, which shows that this place has been here in the Graefekiez for a long time. I always take the version with vegan meat - super tasty! Good bite, deliciously seasoned and a great addition to the fresh herbs and crunchy vegetables. And the portion is huge - I only manage to finish all of the soup because it is so delicious. Gladly again and again!

In terms of price/performance ratio, it is definitely the best lunch option in the Graefekiez. Always delicious, always fresh, always friendly and tastier than most in the neighborhood.

Despite the huge selection of restaurants in the area - my favorite place! Not one of the many new, hip Asian shops with the one-size-fits-all range from ramen to curry, but a family business that has been around for a long time, a menu with tried and tested and therefore skillful recipes, no attempt to do anything with uncomfortable square stools or the like. Not wanting to focus on design, but rather a nice ambience and a corresponding familiar and cozy atmosphere. There's something Asian everywhere - but this restaurant really still has character. And what’s more: it’s inexpensive too!

That's the place to be! There aren't many places having fusion cuisine Phò like here. It's also the best Phò in the hood at a very good price. The homemade spring rolls are very delicious, too.

I have been a regular customer for many years and Via He hai is my first choice when I go out to eat with visitors from out of town or have lunch with colleagues. The vegetables are always very crunchy and the vegan meat is deliciously seasoned and has a good bite. The owner and his team are super nice, so I always feel very comfortable there.

I've been going to Via He Hai for years...and I've noticed that there are many more regular customers here (I think this is the biggest compliment for restaurateurs). The dishes are all fresh and very tasty; everything can also be ordered as a vegetarian option. What I particularly like is the family atmosphere. What an enrichment to have such a delicious and friendly restaurant here in the neighborhood.

Absolutely delicious food, huge portions for a very, very good price in the middle of kreuzberg. The interior is lovely just as the outside where you sit in the middle of a street hat is full of huge trees all around you. Food was 10/10

Via He Hai is a very cozy Vietnamese restaurant on the beautiful Dieffenbachstrasse and for me one of the best Vietnamese restaurants in Kreuzberg. The restaurant has been anchored in the neighborhood for a long time and enriches it with fresh and lovingly prepared original Vietnamese cuisine. There is a diverse selection of dishes with meat, fish and various vegan versions. We like to go to lunch during our lunch break and it's nice to sit inside, just like outside in summer. Whether for lunch or in the evening...always worth a visit!

Wir gehen immer sehr gern von unserem Büro in der Mittagspause hier essen, aber auch abends ist dort ein sehr schönes Ambiente. Die Besitzer sind sehr nett und der Laden bereits seit Jahren im Kiez verankert.

Extremely nice owners. We were immediately greeted in a friendly manner. There was a lot of focus on children. Spring roll was very tasty. Very tasty egg rice. Huge portions. Unfortunately, I personally didn't like the curry that much. But that's a matter of taste. The mango lassi was freshly made, beautifully fruity and foamy. My son drank two.

A really great location with very, very tasty food I went there with my son for his birthday. Everything tasted really good to us, the portions were bigger than anywhere else...It wasn't overcrowded. Staff (owner and his wife?) were super nice. We will eat there more often.

Es gibt nicht nur vegetarische, sondern auch viele vegane Optionen. Das Essen wird sehr hübsch und liebevoll angerichtet, schmeckt hervorragend und ist eine ordentliche Portion. Auch die Preise sind absolut angemessen. Die Bedienung ist sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend, alles in allem: absolut empfehlenswert 😍

Also eigentlich würde ich ja lieber gar keinen Stern dafür vergeben! 12,90 € für ein Gericht, in dem die Soße total verdünnt wurde - dreist! Nr. 51 + 53: das Curry wurde auf jeden Fall mit Kuhmilch o.Ä. verdünnt und die dunkle, traditionelle vietnamesische Sauce extrem mit Wasser gestreckt. Ich bin echt sauer.

Das Essen war köstlich. Das Personal extrem freundlich, etwas was man in Berlin nicht häufig trifft. Zudem ist diese Restaurant in Kreuzberg, was ich damit meine ist, dass es in Kreuzberg schwierig ist ein gutes Restaurant zu finden. Es sieht innen sehr sauber aus und hat bestens ausgestattete Hygiene Vorkehrungen. Es war auch nicht so vol, weshalb ich davon ausgehe, dass dieser Laden eher ein insider ist. Deswegen lasst diese insider zu einem mainstream machen. Es verdient es. Das Restaurant. Bestes vietnamesisches Restaurant in dem ich je gegessen habe.

Authentic Vietnamese place, owned by real Vietnamese (I would know as my parents are). The food is tasty, at the right temperature and the portion size is generous (I got so full after starter and main; and wanted a dessert :(… The staff is really nice and friendly! They speak and have a menu in English, for any tourists out there.

Wir waren hier heute spontan essen, weil viele andere Restaurants heute noch geschlossen hatten. Zuerst wurden wir freundlich begrüßt und unsere Bestellungen wurden aufgenommen. Die Speisekarte war etwas unübersichtlich, aber es gab viele vegetarische und vegane Gerichte. Leider ließ der Service und das Essen dann doch zu wünschen übrig. Unsere Bedienung videotelefonierte mit Raumlautsprecher hinter dem Tresen bis unser Essen kam. Der Glasnudelsalat mit Mango war gänzlich ohne Mango, meine vegane Suppe war leider ziemlich leicht gewürzt und kam ohne bestellte Schärfe und mit wenig Gemüse aus und die gebratenen Reisbandnudeln, die als Spezialgericht deklariert waren (12,90 Euro) hauten uns auch nicht vom Hocker... Auf Nachfrage hin hieß es, dass keine Mango da sei. Diese Information hätten wir gerne vorher gehabt. Leicht genervt wurde uns später dann 2 Euro Rabatt gewährt.

Nette Bedienung, leckeres Essen, gut für die Mittagspause geeignet.

Ein wirklich schönes Restaurant. Essen war reichhaltig und wirklich lecker. Und der Service war ebenfalls sehr nett. Besonde Empfehlung. Der Melonensaft zum Essen. Allerdings kann man nur bar bezahlen aber es ist ein Automat in der Nähe.

Nach 5 Jahren war ich heute wieder zum Lunch im Via He Hai und fand dieses vietnamesische Restaurant genau so gut wie damals. Die Ente war knusprig gebraten mit leckerem Gemüse aus dem Wok und Reis dazu. Alles sehr schmackhaft und mit rund 10€ preiswert. Die Tagesgerichte sind noch günstiger. Der Service freundlich und schnell. Und bei schönem Wetter sitzt man draussen auf dem breiten Bürgersteig in der ruhigen Dieffenbachstrasse. Sehr zu empfehlen, auch für Familien mit Kindern geeignet.

Essen geschmacklich Durchschnitt. Service ok, finde es aber seltsam, wenn einem beim Bezahlen nur der Preis mündlich mitgeteilt und keine Rechnung vorgelegt wird.

Mein Besuch heute war sehr unangenehm und das Restaurant ist für mich aufgrund der schlechten Bedienung absolut nicht empfehlenswert! Ich habe vegetarische Frühlingsrollen bestellt und serviert wurden mir Frühlingsrollen mit Schweinefleisch. Als meine Bestellung schon ankam, habe ich nachgefragt, ob es wirklich vegetarische Rollen sind, weil ich das Gefühl hatte, dass der Kellner mich nicht versteht. bzw. alles mit JA beantwortet. Als ich die Rolle aufschnitt und diesmal die Kellnerin fragte, was da drin ist, hieß es wieder vegetarisch. Sie hat nicht mal richtig geguckt, also rief ich sie nochmal und diesmal sah sie was da drin ist und nahm wütend die Bestellung und schrie auf Vietnamesisch den Kellner vor allen Kunden an. Ich weiß nicht was sie gesagt hat, aber es war ziemlich laut und klang böse. Sie kam nochmal zu mir und wollte die vegetarischen Rollen bringen, ich habe darauf verzichtet, weil mir der Appetit bereits vergangen war. Eine Entschuldigung habe ich von keinem bekommen. Fehler können passieren, aber dem Kunden nicht richtig zuzuhören und sich nicht mal zu entschuldigen und dann einen Mitarbeiter VOR den Kunden so laut anzuschreien, ist absolut unprofessionell!!!!

Echt nette Leute - aber geschmacklich leider weit hinter vielem, was es an Asia-Küchen im Umkreis von 500 m drumrum gibt 😐 meine Erfahrung über mehrere Jahre jetzt …

In some aspect, this is sort of a standard Berlin viatnamese Restaurant. But, that they use various different mock meats such as mock chicken, mock beef and mock duck and not just Tofu, really sets it apart from the usual. The outdoor seating in summer is also really nice and not too pokey, as many other places are.
