Roast pork and Sauerbraten are very good, !!! Update 10-2025!!! Unfortunately, the prices can now be safely described as outrageous; a Schäufele now costs €20 and a beer €4.50. I'm not going to pay that price anymore. For that price, I can get an equivalent Schäufele in Nuremberg at the Hauptmarkt; I don't have to drive to the ADW. Once again, someone hasn't quite grasped the mathematical concept of inflation, which unfortunately happens very often in restaurants. To top it off, they don't accept credit cards, and the €0.40 fee is probably too much. That's the last straw for me, and I'll be there for the last time. Outdated review: Schäuferla is AMAZING!! Decent portions even for hungry men, fast and friendly service, definitely make a reservation, it's like a Plärrer on a Sunday lunchtime, but it's worth it. Open on Mondays, which I think is great because almost all of our other local bars are closed on Mondays!

Highly recommended for anyone who prefers imaginative German and Franconian cuisine! Good value for money and the kitchen does an excellent job! Service is very attentive and experienced and has a unique sense of humor :) Dining room is historic, but a bit old-fashioned! The restaurant is unmissable, located in the center of the market square! Two additional banquet rooms on the upper floor. Restrooms are unfortunately not accessible for the elderly or those with disabilities and are only accessible by stairs. Definitely worth a visit!

I can't remember the last time I was served such fresh and delicious food in a restaurant. It was an absolute dream.
