Update 11/2024 Anyone who comes here after the reopening will be extremely disappointed. Roast potatoes are really not a big challenge, but can the cook get these too? not there. Half potatoes, only cut and not fried at all, end up on the plate. There's a lot of emphasis on decoration and chi chi, but that's not the priority for a restaurant in this location. In addition, serving completely messed up, unfried veal liver and being unable to criticize will spoil our next visit. No recommendation. Things were different in 2023 Here we still cook with love and work with commitment. The food is delicious, the service is always in a good mood, everything is clean and tidy. People like to come here! :) On warmer days it is also possible to use the outdoor area, here you can sit in the countryside, far away from the noise of the city! TOP

Good cuisine, friendly staff and moderate prices keep us coming back here again and again. Still a ⭐️ deduction for the volume. A conversation between us and our guests was hardly possible due to the larger company. You may need more decorations/flowers or something similar so that you can enjoy each other's company with a quiet conversation and don't have to yell at each other. Still a clear recommendation.

The food, farmer's breakfast for over €11, was banned and the potato pieces were stained, old and cut way too big, very unappetizingly prepared. Half had to be sorted out. The chef should look for a new job. In my opinion, the 1/2 liter of beer for €5 is absolutely excessive for the garden restaurant. So you can NOT recommend this restaurant. Too bad about the money. We will no longer visit this restaurant. How the previous assessments came about is a mystery to me. Maybe the staff really made an effort when they opened?!

After the restaurant reopened in September 2024, we were often guests in the chicken ladder. The atmosphere is very attractive and cozy. All of the dishes we ordered tasted very good, were freshly prepared and were lovingly served. At this point, big praise to the chef! The service staff was polite, courteous and gave us expert advice if we had any questions about the dishes. A visit to the chicken ladder is definitely worth it. We wish the young team continued success and lots of new, creative ideas!

If you're looking for home-style cooking and friendly, attentive service, you've come to the right place. We are regular guests and know a wide variety of tenants and landlords. This line-up today was quick and friendly, despite the full restaurant. We tried pumpkin soup with wonderfully fresh crusty bread, classic schnitzel and the brawn (interestingly served in a glass) was perfect. We'd love to come back.

Yummy; regional, good flair. Update 09/24: We went there again after the reopening. Conclusion: It was well attended. The food is very tasty. Price wise. Details: We had a classic: Schnitzel. The new map is still tempting for alternatives. Beer brand was changed to Lübzer. That's okay with me. I would still be more happy about a regional brand, like the previous tenant, for example. the flotsam and jetsam from Frohse (which, as we all know, no longer exists). The Duckstein Weizen from the barrel, on the other hand, is strong. This is rarely available to eat. About the location itself: Perfect outside in summer. Now with a beach feeling and therefore space for the kids to get up and let off steam. I see even more potential in the property here. I'm also looking forward to the completion of the breeder's association's large chicken aviary. Inside it's solid. overall good comeback with new tenant. There was also a small article in DATEs. Good succeed. See you again soon.

Finally a restaurant in town again where you can meet up with friends in the evening or just unwind. The service is super friendly and on the ball, you don't have to wait forever for someone to come. The portions are sufficient and the clear menu promises fresh food. We'd love to come back. See you next time!

After the renovation, it's cozy here, the new team is super friendly and the food is great. We got a wonderful menu there today on the day of the reopening. We had bruschetta and seasoned meat as a starter, veal liver and schnitzel as a main course, and crème brûlèe and chocolate cake with vanilla ice cream as a dessert. Everything was beautifully prepared. We would love to come back 🤗

I was there for lunch today for the reopening of the chicken ladder and I was not only impressed by the tasteful ambience, the food was also very tasty. I'm totally thrilled, a new breath of fresh air is blowing through the restaurant. Everything is newly painted, new tables and chairs, decoration, fresh flowers, very friendly service and a very fine selection of dishes (the desserts are particularly recommended - a dream). I wish the new team all the best and many enthusiastic guests!

Sehr leckere Hausmannskost, freundliches und aufmerksames Personal

Wir waren zu Pfingsten mit unserer Familie in der Hühnerleiter und hatten einen Tisch für den Außenbereich bestellt. Das Ambiente war wirklich ansprechend und man hat uns gleich noch Kissen und Decken angeboten. Das komplette Team war sehr zuvorkommend und immer darauf bedacht, dass es einem gut geht! Und jetzt aber zum Essen: es war meeeega lecker und es ist mehr als empfehlenswert. Vom Bruschetta angefangen, über Nudeln bis hin zu den selbstgemachten Pommes … wir und auch die Kids ;) hatten nichts zu meckern. Probiert es unbedingt mal aus und esst, trotz dem super leckeren „Gruß aus der Küche“, unbedingt das Bruschetta vorneweg!

Ein sehr schöner Biergarten. Essen war lecker. Es wurde gegrillt. Innen gemütlich und sauber.

Absolut empfehlenswert. Wir haben dort unsere Hochzeit gefeiert. Das Buffet war super genauso wie wir es uns vorgestellt haben. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich,auf zack und für jeden Spaß zu haben.

Was für eine geile Party. Es gab super leckeres Essen und das zu sehr guten Preisen. Die Lokalität liegt etwas versteckt, aber ein echter Geheimtipp. Freue mich schon auf das nächste mal. Super Team, so gut habe ich es schon lange nicht mehr gehabt. Ps. Ich besuche viele Gaststätten und nur wenige Stimmen mich voll zufrieden. Hier ist man noch Gast und nicht nur geldscheisser wie in anderen Restaurants in welchen es nur darum geht, dass Maximum an Geld aus dem Gast zupressen. Darum liebe ich diese Geheimtipps.

Wir waren am 2.Weihnachtsfeiertag zum Mittagessen in der Hühnerleiter . Sicherlich waren gute Voraussetzungen da, die aber nicht ganz verwirklicht worden. Die Suppen sahen undefinierbar aus, die Entenkeulen waren sehr zäh ( konnte man kaum schneiden, geschweigedenn kauen) , als die zweite Ladung mit Klößen kam, waren die innen drin noch gefroren . Es wäre ganz gut gewesen, dass Essen zu beschriften. Das Dessert war jetzt auch nicht der Renner. Für das gebotene Essen ein zu hoher Preis . Schade.
