Large portions, good price, good location

Four of us went here for dinner. Three times the beef cheeks, once the pork steak marinated in beer. I had the pork steak. The meat was well marinated so it had a hint of beer. This made it very tender. Fried potatoes, well, well fried, but not seasoned at all. There were also fried chanterelles. These weren't fried at all. They were steamed and not seasoned at all - no salt, pepper, fine onions, garlic, a bit of parsley, there was nothing on them. The salad that was on the plate was okay. For €25.90 I had different expectations here. The beef cheeks, I only tried the sauce once. This was tied too thickly. The black beer was too intense. Ready-made sauce with a dash of beer. The ambience was nice. The service attentive. Nice location. The food is too expensive for what you get. Maybe unlucky too. But that didn't convince me.

Top. A visit to the Cathedral King is worth it. The staff is nice and friendly. The food is delicious. The location is very nice. The price-performance ratio is right. I'd love to come back.

Nice restaurant. It tasted very tasty. The portions were completely sufficient and we got high quality ingredients for the price. We ate pork fillet tips for €15.90. Price-performance okay.

Very nice atmosphere and the food is very tasty and the service is also very friendly. Definitely recommended if you are visiting Magdeburg. Had bruschetta as a starter and baked potato with chicken and a delicious salad as a main course. Really delicious.

We were at the Domkönig for the second time today because we were really impressed by the food and ambience the first time there. There is a clear recommendation here and two thumbs up. The service is also on point and friendly. However, we had a voucher that we wanted to pay with. We were then told that we could neither credit the remaining amount nor make a cash payment. Therefore we could only use the remaining amount today... A little difficult after the main course, dessert and 2 drinks per person.... Tip or not. But at 20 euros or more it's a bit annoying and it's incomprehensible that it's handled this way here. Therefore it gets a thumbs down because there is no customer focus...

Great ambience. Nice service (unfortunately it was a bit confused that day) Small but nice menu. The drinks and cocktails are great.

Unfortunately once and never again. The food wasn't warm, the asparagus wasn't cooked through and the sauce was cold. The potatoes weren't cooked either. The waiter said that a sauce would be enough when we asked if we could please get some more sauce for the asparagus. The prices are way too high for the quality of the food. We were also served the wrong drinks.

The food tasted excellent, the boss is an incredibly friendly and courteous host and the ambience right next to the cathedral creates a lovely charm. We recommend.

It's a good place to celebrate. The family birthday was very well received, despite the dog and children, everything went smoothly and the small "obstacles" were dealt with very professionally. Thank you for that 👍

We dined there with a group of 9 people. The restaurant is very inviting. We were served very courteously; everyone received their food at the same time. Whether bruschetta, beef cheeks, veal liver strips, Asparagus with schnitzel or asparagus with salmon fillet, all dishes were excellently prepared. the food was super tasty. We thank you for a thoroughly successful evening.

It was a perfect match! Two weeks ago we celebrated a youth consecration there and used it as a location. Starting with the loving decoration, it continued with the super friendly staff. The food was plentiful and incredibly tasty 👍🏻 Highly recommended

This place is recommended for people who like reheated ready meals! Unfortunately, “freshly” cooked food is not served in this restaurant. After we ordered, our lunch was served within 5 minutes! The "rubber" potatoes (perhaps steamed) were peeled by machine. The still almost raw leek was thickened with roux! Unfortunately, the meatballs, which were made by machine, were only warmed up (not fried). Nevertheless, we are still looking for a restaurant in Magdeburg that serves “freshly” prepared German lunch.

Landed in the Cathedral King by chance. Beef roulade and beef cheeks, including side dishes, were beautifully prepared and delicious. Prices were completely ok and the service was of course. No fake friendliness. We'd be happy to come back on our next visit to Magdeburg.

Wir waren im alten Jahr nochmal schön essen. Das Ambiente und Bedingung war super nett. Essen war auch gut, Preis Lst. muss man sich wohl daran gewöhnen, auf Dauer kann man sich dieses wohl nicht leisten.

Wir waren am 2. Weihnachtstag mittags dort. Bereits beim Ankommen merkte man viel Herzlichkeit. Die Einrichtung ist stilvoll und das Essen sehr lecker. Das Servicepersonal ist sehr freundlich und aufmerksam. Wir kommen mit Sicherheit wieder.

Das Essen war sehr lecker und auch die Bedienung top.Der Herr war sehr nett,zuvorkommend und vorallem sehr witzig.So fühlt sich sehr wohl. Auch das Ambiente sieht schön aus.

wir waren am letzten wochenende zu gast hier. wir hatten einen tisch reserviert, leider feierte neben uns eine männergang lautstark das weihnachtsfest. der chef vom domkönig verschaffte uns einen ruhigere tisch .... DAAANKE für den schönen gastronomischen spürsinn. essen top! service top! getränke top! manschaft top! kurz und gut absolut zu empfehlen und wir kommen gern wieder .... grüsse aus dem schönen thüringen!!!

Bei der gestrigen Weihnachtsfeier unseres Fußballvereines, wurden wir kulinarisch verwöhnt. Gans mit Rotkohl und Klößen, wie man es besser nicht zubereiten kann. Dazu absoluter Topservice, keine Wartezeiten auf Getränke und das Personal immer freundlich, obwohl das Haus voll war. Danke für einen schönen Abend. Weiter so.

Bedienung und Ambiente vollkommen ok ...allerdings ist die Auswahl der Speisen sehr begrenzt und sehr teuer im Verhältnis zur Menge. Auch die Nassräume haben nicht so toll gerochen, waren aber sauber. Nichts für ungut aber was wahr ist muss wahr bleiben. Liebe Grüße..

Der burger war kalt, die schweine medallions waren viel zu klein ( ehen bohnen mit schwein) die bedienung war nur semi freundlich und schien genervt! Wir kommen nicht wieder

Eine sehr angenehme Atmosphäre mit super netten und zuverlässigen Service. Das Essen war sehr lecker und die Bierauswahl ist Mal was anderes. Die Karte ist zwar klein, aber die angebotenen Gerichte sind fein dekoriert und schmecken super. Vielen Dank Domkönig für den schönen Moment.

Von vorne bis hinten gelungen, tolle Lage ,schönes Ambiente, sehr netter und zuvorkommender Service und super leckeres Essen . Es gab eine interessante Bierauswahl und eine kleine aber sehr feine Speisekarte . Wir hatten den "drunken saylor" (IPA) und den Zander auf Kartoffelrisotto. Beides hat und köstlich geschmeckt. Wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder um im Domkönig königlich bedient zu werden .

Wir waren gestern Abend im *Domkönig* und waren rundherum zufrieden. Wir saßen im zugezogenen Außenbereich, sehr gemütlich dekoriert mit kleinen Feuerstellen. Ich hatte eine Gulaschsuppe, die mir sehr gut geschmeckt hat, die Bedienungen waren äußerst freundlich und unsere Getränke waren auch sehr lecker. Wir kommen gern wieder.
