We had dinner at Verde again and were again very satisfied. All dishes were very tasty and filling. The homemade ice cream was the crowning glory.

Our visit to the DOM began with a starter and a small aperitif, which was very successful. For the main course we had steak with side dishes which were cooked quite well. Unfortunately, the steak was accompanied by a beer instead of a bottle of wine, as I can't understand the pricing at this point?! So I'm happy to pay appropriate prices for good ingredients and quality meat, but is the surcharge (and I only mean the surcharge) for wine higher than the total amount for the food? Sauvignon Blanc I (by Winning) 20€ retail price and 70€ on sale? For the GG and bordeaux/Burgundy sometimes over 100€ surcharge? For that money can I eat at your place again? There is no logic or proportionality to be seen here. I would have loved to drink a bottle of wine with your otherwise great food, but the surcharge for uncorking was too high for me. The final dessert in the form of an espresso martini was very good and balanced in terms of spirit and sweetness. Hence my well-intentioned criticism: Your food, service and overall performance are good, but it would be nice to be able to offer wine accompaniment that is reasonably priced.

Unfortunately, we didn't have a good experience on Sunday. We had to wait 1.5 hours for our food and during this time the waiter asked twice what we had ordered. Unfortunately my wife didn't get the food she ordered but something else. She wanted chicken breast with cream sauce and spaetzle, but then got pasta with gravy. She immediately complained to the waiter, who went into the kitchen and came back and said he couldn't make another meal now if she would take the noodles. Well, since we had been waiting for a long time, we took the food. He didn't go into the cream sauce, but the cook came later, who unfortunately showed little understanding. There should be a small dash of cream sauce between the 95% gravy and he was very happy about it. (The only thing he wasn't interested in was the fact that we didn't order it). We would have eaten it and we would be happy with that for Him. Admittedly, my meal, the roulades, was delicious, but since the chef argued so shamelessly and was almost making fun of it, it was the worst experience I've ever had in dealing with complaints. Creating the bill only takes 45 minutes. During this time, the waiter asked us three more times what we had eaten. That rounded off the day there just as it began. (PS: the calculation was of course also wrong)
