Vauban Insel Gastro GmbH in Saarlouis

A few days ago I wrote a review that was relatively unfavorable based on my first experience in this bistro. In the meantime I have taken advantage of the bistro's offer a few more times and have come to a different conclusion. The food was consistently very fresh and tasty. Even if the price is relatively high. But this phenomenon probably affects the entire gastronomy sector. The friendliness and the waiting time were not to be criticized at all. So across the board it’s a thoroughly recommendable bistro.

Two stars for ambience and service A cozy restaurant with friendly service. Unfortunately the food wasn't very good. Schnitzel was very heavily fried and the breading was already burnt. The salad is well prepared in advance with lots of cream, so even if you want it with balsamic vinegar or vinegar and oil, you probably can't avoid the cream

Delicious food As always, the new owner puts in a lot of effort and is always very nice. At the moment he is switching all his food to fresh ingredients.

A wonderful opportunity to pause for a moment and drink a cold beer. Very nice atmosphere and great guests. Here you immediately feel comfortable and warmly welcomed. Thanks for that.
