Vater Rhein in Bad Breisig

I was really pleasantly surprised. Despite the proximity to the highway, it was pleasantly quiet. The room was very nice and the breakfast was fantastic. There's a restaurant, but I didn't use it. Across the street is a large market where you can find everything you need. I would stay here again anytime.

Very good hotel, friendly staff, great location directly on the Rhine promenade

Excellent hygiene, large room, comfortable bed, and nice bathroom. Good, stable Wi-Fi. Breakfast offered a wide selection, and the bread and toppings were wonderfully fresh. Our room's view wasn't as good, but the comfortable room more than compensated for that. Another plus: there's no traffic right outside. The restaurant has a limited menu. The quality of the food is excellent. The staff is friendly and helpful. In short: highly recommended, partly due to the excellent price-quality ratio.

We booked this hotel for one night on our cycling trip. The hosts were very friendly and accommodating. We were allowed to park our bikes in a lockable garage. The room we were assigned was a bit dated, but it was very clean and tidy. Unfortunately, the restaurant is only open on weekends, so we were forced to have dinner elsewhere, which wasn't a problem for us. The breakfast buffet was sufficient and completely satisfactory. We highly recommend this hotel. The hotel is located directly on the Rhine and in the center of the nightlife district. :-)

The hotel fully met our expectations of a 3-star hotel. We had a country-style apartment with a beautiful roof terrace and a view of the Rhine. The breakfast was appropriate for a 3-star rating. The café and restaurant deserve 5 stars. The menu is small but incredibly delicious—highly recommended. The location is great—the Roman thermal baths are within walking distance and worth a visit. The hike around the Schäferhütte (Shepherd's Hut) was also an experience.

The hotel is quiet, yet centrally located...rooms are large and clean, everything is available and the hosts are very friendly and pleasant...!!...a perfect weekend

We were guests over the Easter weekend and are very satisfied. Location is great.👍🏻 Hotel is located directly on the Rhine. Parking available behind the building, train station just 15 minutes away on foot. There is a ferry in town for a connection to the other side of the Rhine. The hotel itself is in a quiet location, but on the main road, so you can quickly get to the neighboring towns. Service is very good. The owners are friendly, attentive and helpful and are happy to help if you have any questions. You feel well looked after and looked after. Rooms were clean, furnishings were functional and everything you needed was there. Arrival and departure were problem-free, even if, like us, you wanted to leave outside opening hours. Breakfast was delicious, of course not a huge selection, but everything important was there and it was very tasty. All in all a perfect stay that we can only recommend to anyone who wants to stay in Bad Breisig or the surrounding area for a while.

Everything was great - from the room with bright furniture, renovated, comfortable mattress, large bathroom, very clean, quiet, very nice owners who serve the rich breakfast themselves and have a kind word for everyone. Gladly again

We can highly recommend this hotel. Price/performance is right. It is a small hotel with very comfortable rooms. Everything perfect. Cleanliness is very important. The rooms are very well equipped. The beds are very comfortable. Our room had a beautiful view of the Rhine. You will receive a very friendly welcome, very good hosts. The breakfast left nothing to be desired. All in all a nice hotel that we will visit again. Thank you for your hospitality 😊

We ate at the restaurant with eight people. The service was very friendly and incredibly child-friendly. The food was delicious and freshly prepared. The schnitzels were homemade, which is unfortunately not a given these days. Special requests were accommodated as far as possible. Highly recommended!

If you have a room in the next building. is a bit confusing

Never had such a dirty bathroom. The location is great, the lady at reception was nice, but the room was nothing. Maybe the “emergency room” when it’s fully booked? Unfortunately I don't have a photo of all the hair on the floor.

We have often dined at the Vater Rhein restaurant. Food, coffee and cake as well as ice cream cups were always excellent. It's simply beautiful on the promenade, no matter where you stop. Each restaurant has certain amenities. The location does it.

The hosts gave us a warm welcome. Our every wish would be fulfilled. It felt like one big family, we will miss everyone very much. The room with a direct view of the Rhine was great. The room was cleaned every day by a cleaning lady. Everything was tip top clean. The nice waitress Andrea was super nice and accommodating. The chef was world class. We have never eaten such a delicious schnitzel. Pure relaxation, we'll be back. Kind regards to everyone, the East Frisians

Super nice hosts, fulfill every wish, the room is mega big, great bed and everything is clean. The room had a view of the Rhine, just fantastic. Breakfast was plentiful and good. We were there in August and we really enjoyed our stay. Friendly guests, large and clean apartments, several rooms with a view of the Rhine and a great location right on the bank. Good soundproofing and cleaning every day. Lots of restaurants nearby and a nice Rhine atmosphere. Highly recommended!

Highly recommended with a warm welcome! We overslept a bit and didn't manage to get out of the room on time until 10 a.m. However, that wasn't a problem and we were even able to enjoy breakfast, which ran from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m., after 10 a.m. That certainly wouldn't have been possible in another hotel. Thanks again. :)

Beautiful family-run hotel directly on the Rhine. The rooms are all furnished differently (one room is even equipped with a sauna). The hotel has its own restaurant. There are many other restaurants to the right and left of the hotel. So you can leave the car in the hotel parking lot and treat yourself to a glass of wine or a cold beer. The boss is always very friendly and we have been booking there for many years.

We stayed in this house for a few days. Spacious suite well furnished. Very comfortable beds. Furniture with plenty of storage space, including a shoe cabinet. Bathroom with well-functioning shower. Room location facing the Rhine above the street restaurant, quiet at night. Breakfast with a good selection. Parking space at the house. We would be happy to come back and recommend this hotel.

This is the best hotel in Germany. But why three stars? At least four. I really enjoyed my stay at this hotel. The staff is kind and welcoming. 10 of 10.

Mein Aufenthalt im Hotel war insgesamt durchschnittlich. Der Service war akzeptabel und das Personal höflich. Die Zimmer waren in Ordnung, jedoch nicht besonders bemerkenswert. Sie waren sauber und funktional, aber es fehlte an einigen Annehmlichkeiten, die ich mir gewünscht hätte. Die Lage des Hotels war praktisch, da es in der Nähe einiger Sehenswürdigkeiten lag. Allerdings hat mich die Aussicht aus meinem Zimmer nicht wirklich begeistert. Das Hotelrestaurant bot eine ausreichende Auswahl an Speisen, obwohl ich mir eine größere Vielfalt gewünscht hätte. Die Qualität der Mahlzeiten war in Ordnung, aber nichts Besonderes. Insgesamt betrachtet war mein Aufenthalt im Hotel Vater Rhein durchschnittlich. Es erfüllte meinen Bedarf für die Reisedauer, jedoch gab es keine besonders herausragenden Merkmale, die es von anderen Hotels abheben würden.

Wir wurden von der Besitzerin herzlich empfangen und hatten ein schönes und sehr großes Zimmer, mit Rheinblick. Das Bad ist, für ein Hotel wahnsinnig groß. Alles super sauber und ordentlich. Das Frühstück war lecker und es ist für jeden was dabei. Etwas schade finde ich, Marmelade, Butter und alle anderen Miniverpackungen, die man aus dem Krankenhaus kennt. Da könnte man über eine Veränderung nachdenken. Leider ist das dazugehörige Restaurant zur Zeit, krankheitsbedingt geschlossen. Ich werde gern wieder buchen, wenn ich wieder hier bin und kann das Hotel auf jeden Fall weiterempfehlen.

Ein familiengeführtes Hotel. Zimmer groß, zweckmäßig eingerichtet und extrem sauber !!! Frühstücksbuffet gut, alles da, von Müsli bis frisches Obst. Sehr freundlicher Service! Preis Leistungsverhältnis paßt. Lage direkt am Rhein. Krankheitsbedingt ist leider z.Zt. (August 2023) das Restaurant noch geschlossen. Wir wünschen gute Besserung und drücken die Daumen, daß es bald wieder geöffnet ist.
