Actually a bar that I've been to many times and the service was good (except for the beer, which was only 0.4/0.5 full), but our large birthday group was thrown out without warning because we supposedly didn't order enough. Even when we said we would still order, they didn't let anyone talk to us and the evening was over :(

I overall liked the experience in the place. I liked the vibe, the music and the drinks themselves. I was sitting at a table with other five people, and three of us ordered three cocktails, one of us ordered two and two of us ordered one. I ordered only one because I arrived there pretty late, and stayed there more or less two hours. The waiter was bugging us every 10 minutes asking us if we wanted to order more, which was a clear signal that otherwise she would've liked us to leave. I thought we ordered a reasonable amount of drinks to stay at least two hours and a half there! But apparently not. I gave 4 stars for this reason, and I am being generous because I really don't like being pressured that much. I hope my next visit will be better.

Excellent place to eat and drink with friends and family...of course the atmosphere is very cozy with salsa music and all Cuban atmosphere and very good prices and excellent food. This last time I was there, a reservation was made and a surprise reservation was made when we arrived, they did not say that we must abandon or leave the restaurant before 9 pm (9 pm), because the restaurant was fully booked and taking into account that it was a weekday many work, the point was that many of those who came, did not come to our reservation because of the time. And there was a waiter/waiter who was rushing to order and eat and every time he passed, he remembered the time 🤦 that we had to leave... what a shame... you know when you book or go, inquire... I don't know that they have to leave before finishing eating.

I don't recommend this restaurant at all. It smells like urine, the toilets are dirty and the food seems to be warmed up. Too bad!

It's great, rhe drinks are also very affordable. The location is nice, in the heart of amazing Schöneberg.

Great atmosphere, good food, polite service BUT unfortunately only payment in cash (OK - it says CASH ONLY on the door). One of us had to walk quite far to get cash and unfortunately this will put us off a second visit - a shame.

I tried the Plato Vegetariano and it was pretty good, nicely seasoned. This restaurant has a decent amount of vegetarian options, which I really appreciate. Overall a nice place to come for a relaxed evening with friends, also just for some drinks :)

Now an institution. The mojito is really excellent, the decor is rustic, the heart and soul is Johann, the Cuban boss, who runs the shop with charm and wit. Many a Cuban party has been celebrated here over the years!

Varadero is a WONDER bar: the tastiest cocktails, great and varied food and the staff is incredibly nice. You feel at home and also like you are in Cuba at the same time. You automatically get the desire to travel. I would recommend Varadero 1000 times ♥️

I enjoy coming here with friends; we are always warmly welcomed and served. The drinks are highly recommended and the owner is very warm and hospitable, he always manages to put a smile on our faces! Every visit is a real pleasure and we feel at home every time.

I can't comment on how drinks and food are in this restaurant, so my review is solely about the service and treatment of guests. We were a group of 7 and had a confirmed reservation at 7:30 p.m. It was my birthday, I was very happy and was looking forward to an evening with my friends. I came at 7:38 p.m. and as soon as I walked in there was a strange mood from the waiter/owner. No hello, he looked away. 2 minutes later he came to me without saying hello and said it wasn't okay that I was late (8 minutes) and so were the others (came 15 minutes later). Then 5 minutes later he came back to my table and said again that it wasn't possible that we were late. Until then, not once had anyone asked me if I wanted to order anything. Because I was ready to order. Drinks for my friends and small snacks first, then main courses later. But nobody asked. That's why I asked the waiter, after he gave me a very unfriendly lecture, what he was about? About sales? Then he said it wasn't about the money but about his specifications. After everyone was there, another waitress (also not very friendly) took 2 drinks and then had to go to the kitchen. After that she didn't come back for 15 minutes. There were also nasty looks from the waiter/owner. Then I wanted to ask him a question and he referred to his colleague and didn't want to talk to me anymore. I have never experienced being put under so much pressure and ignored as a guest. And I can say that I am always a friendly soul, I come from the catering industry myself and I usually understand everything that happens in a restaurant. But that was too much. I feel sorry for the waiter who may have had a bad day or may have such unfriendly standards that perhaps you can't blame him. If he had simply been patient for 15 minutes and not lectured me as a guest, this table would probably have made €300 in sales. This action was absolutely damaging to the business and if it was really the owner, it was even worse that he behaved like that. Because the waiter's mood became increasingly strange and we weren't served, we left. My mood was gone. Luckily we found a great Italian restaurant a few doors down. It was worlds!! Difference !! Friendly welcome, super friendly waiters with interesting conversations, perfect service at the table. Little surprises because it was my birthday. Our evening was saved... €350 in sales. Unfortunately, without being able to try the probably very good food at Varadero, I won't be coming back here. Otherwise a very nice atmosphere, even if it felt like 50°C and no exhaust air.

Ein tolles Restaurant mit tollem Ambiente. Essen hat sehr gut geschmeckt. Allerdings waren wir (Familie, 4 Personen) über die Portionen enttäuscht. Trotz Vorspeise und Nachtisch sind wir hungrig aus dem Restaurant gegangen. Sehr schade. Dee Service war durchwachsen. Zunächst ein Mann, dee sehr nett war. Anschließend hat uns eine Dame bedient, die extrem unterkühlt war - etwas überraschend für ein kubanisches Restaurant.

Das Essen ist super preisgünstig sowie auch die Cocktails. Ich glaube, es gibt in ganz Berlin kein Mojito für 5,50 EUR, der so gut schmeckt. Die Bedienung Inklusive Chef bringen die kubanische Lebensart nach Berlin.

Das Varadero ist eine authentische kubanische Kneipe, sehr beliebt. Die Mitarbeiter dort sind ausgesprochen sympathisch, und meiner Meinung nach servieren sie den besten Mojito in Berlin – ein Genuss, den man mit Abstand so nirgendwo sonst in der ganzen Stadt findet.

Allerdings muss man anmerken: zum ersten Mal in meinem Leben, erlebe ich es, dass man nach 15 min. nicht weiter trinken oder etwas anders bestellen rausgeschmissen wird, indem einem gesagt wird: Darf ich euch abkassieren, Obwohl wir weiter hätten trinken wollen. Me pedí un pollo a la criolla y estuvo muy rico me encantó, quizá que la sal la tengan medida es apropósito porque me faltó una pizca de sal para intensificar el sabor delicioso que tenía. Vuelvo sí o sí! La atención muy buena y el volumen de la música es bastante aceptable y regulado para todavía mantener una buena conversación. ✨✨✨ el precio de los cócteles esta genial también y la cantidad de comida esta bien, al menos para mí 😍

Wir sind eine große Gruppe. Die Kellnerin war von Anfang an unfreundlich zu uns. Am Ende des Abends hatten wir ein Missverständnis wegen unserer Bestellung, wir haben 9 Cocktails bestellt und bezahlt, sie sagten es fehlen noch 2 zu bezahlen, konnten aber nicht sagen warum. Am Ende haben wir 9 Cocktails getrunken und 11 bezahlt und sind mit einem komischen Gefühl nach Hause gegangen

Schlechtester Mexikaner den ich je getrunken habe und ich wurde an meinem Geburtstag um 00:30 rausgeschmissen obwohl wir zu 12 waren. Unfreundliche Bedienung!
