We ate at the Varadero restaurant in Berlin, and it was simply fantastic! 🇨🇺 The service was very friendly and attentive, the food was spectacular, and the drinks were excellent. The entire ambiance is beautifully designed, and you immediately feel like you're in Cuba. 🌴✨ An absolutely recommendable place—for Cubans as well as for anyone new to Cuba who wants to experience a bit of the Cuban way of life. Highly recommended! 👍

Food was awesome, authentic Cuban food, I am Cuban so you can trust me ;). The mood was on point, with the music and the service you are instantly transported to Cuba (people were literally dancing between dishes). What can I say? A total recommendation for those who want to taste a piece of Cuba.

A little piece of Cuba in the heart of Berlin I had the pleasure of visiting this Cuban restaurant a few weeks ago, and I have nothing but words of gratitude for the wonderful experience. From the very first moment, the staff was incredibly polite and friendly, making us feel at home. They served us promptly and warmly. The food was simply spectacular: authentic, flavorful, and perfectly presented. To complete the evening, they had the lovely gesture of inviting us to two rounds of shots, which was a real surprise and shows generosity. The restaurant is tastefully decorated, with a cozy atmosphere that transports you straight to Cuba. I especially highlight the altar to the Virgin inside, which adds a very special and emotional touch to the place. What impressed me most was the atmosphere: a cheerful, relaxed atmosphere full of good energy, both from the staff and the other diners. I will definitely return and I highly recommend it.

Hello!! We were at Varadero yesterday and everything was spectacular! The food was delicious, the atmosphere was cozy (except for the occasional photo of Che Guevara 🤮🤮), and the service was unbeatable, everyone was very friendly and polite.

I've rarely experienced such great service. The food didn't look impressive at first glance, but after the first bite, I was completely blown away. Absolutely delicious. The ambiance is also just right. Everything feels familiar and warm. It was our first, but not our last, visit to the Varadero 🤘

I'll continue to take everyone who visits us to Varadero; it never fails! A great place for celebrations.

The Cuban flair comes across completely. A bit quaint but not too loud despite being busy. I have known the store professionally since 2013 and enjoy coming here regularly. We were in Varadero for the first time yesterday. Even though we made a reservation a week ago, we sat right at the door. In retrospect, that wasn't so bad. The food itself was tasty and well prepared. The service was very friendly and quick. Considering that Varadero is not a cocktail bar, the cocktails were good. You have to like the atmosphere, since I haven't been to Cuba yet and I'm certainly not going to visit it, I can't say anything about the authenticity, but the written walls reminded me more of a "student bar". Ultimately a nice evening.

I have to say the first time was very tasty but the second time the kitchen could have put in a bit of effort. In my opinion, congris(rice) was not that fresh and lacked taste. The Cuban beef steak as well... I hope it will be better next time... The shop is also recommended

Actually a bar that I've been to many times and the service was good (except for the beer, which was only 0.4/0.5 full), but our large birthday group was thrown out without warning because we supposedly didn't order enough. Even when we said we would still order, they didn't let anyone talk to us and the evening was over :(

I overall liked the experience in the place. I liked the vibe, the music and the drinks themselves. I was sitting at a table with other five people, and three of us ordered three cocktails, one of us ordered two and two of us ordered one. I ordered only one because I arrived there pretty late, and stayed there more or less two hours. The waiter was bugging us every 10 minutes asking us if we wanted to order more, which was a clear signal that otherwise she would've liked us to leave. I thought we ordered a reasonable amount of drinks to stay at least two hours and a half there! But apparently not. I gave 4 stars for this reason, and I am being generous because I really don't like being pressured that much. I hope my next visit will be better.

Excellent place to eat and drink with friends and family...of course the atmosphere is very cozy with salsa music and all Cuban atmosphere and very good prices and excellent food. This last time I was there, a reservation was made and a surprise reservation was made when we arrived, they did not say that we must abandon or leave the restaurant before 9 pm (9 pm), because the restaurant was fully booked and taking into account that it was a weekday many work, the point was that many of those who came, did not come to our reservation because of the time. And there was a waiter/waiter who was rushing to order and eat and every time he passed, he remembered the time 🤦 that we had to leave... what a shame... you know when you book or go, inquire... I don't know that they have to leave before finishing eating.

I don't recommend this restaurant at all. It smells like urine, the toilets are dirty and the food seems to be warmed up. Too bad!

Great atmosphere, good food, polite service BUT unfortunately only payment in cash (OK - it says CASH ONLY on the door). One of us had to walk quite far to get cash and unfortunately this will put us off a second visit - a shame.

I tried the Plato Vegetariano and it was pretty good, nicely seasoned. This restaurant has a decent amount of vegetarian options, which I really appreciate. Overall a nice place to come for a relaxed evening with friends, also just for some drinks :)

Now an institution. The mojito is really excellent, the decor is rustic, the heart and soul is Johann, the Cuban boss, who runs the shop with charm and wit. Many a Cuban party has been celebrated here over the years!

I recently went to this restaurant for the first time and would recommend it to everyone. The food is very tasty and the staff was very friendly and could also advise on the choice of dishes. The restaurant is very authentic, the majority of people working there are Latinos and you feel like you've been transported to Cuba. I will come back.

Varadero is a WONDER bar: the tastiest cocktails, great and varied food and the staff is incredibly nice. You feel at home and also like you are in Cuba at the same time. You automatically get the desire to travel. I would recommend Varadero 1000 times ♥️

I can't comment on how drinks and food are in this restaurant, so my review is solely about the service and treatment of guests. We were a group of 7 and had a confirmed reservation at 7:30 p.m. It was my birthday, I was very happy and was looking forward to an evening with my friends. I came at 7:38 p.m. and as soon as I walked in there was a strange mood from the waiter/owner. No hello, he looked away. 2 minutes later he came to me without saying hello and said it wasn't okay that I was late (8 minutes) and so were the others (came 15 minutes later). Then 5 minutes later he came back to my table and said again that it wasn't possible that we were late. Until then, not once had anyone asked me if I wanted to order anything. Because I was ready to order. Drinks for my friends and small snacks first, then main courses later. But nobody asked. That's why I asked the waiter, after he gave me a very unfriendly lecture, what he was about? About sales? Then he said it wasn't about the money but about his specifications. After everyone was there, another waitress (also not very friendly) took 2 drinks and then had to go to the kitchen. After that she didn't come back for 15 minutes. There were also nasty looks from the waiter/owner. Then I wanted to ask him a question and he referred to his colleague and didn't want to talk to me anymore. I have never experienced being put under so much pressure and ignored as a guest. And I can say that I am always a friendly soul, I come from the catering industry myself and I usually understand everything that happens in a restaurant. But that was too much. I feel sorry for the waiter who may have had a bad day or may have such unfriendly standards that perhaps you can't blame him. If he had simply been patient for 15 minutes and not lectured me as a guest, this table would probably have made €300 in sales. This action was absolutely damaging to the business and if it was really the owner, it was even worse that he behaved like that. Because the waiter's mood became increasingly strange and we weren't served, we left. My mood was gone. Luckily we found a great Italian restaurant a few doors down. It was worlds!! Difference !! Friendly welcome, super friendly waiters with interesting conversations, perfect service at the table. Little surprises because it was my birthday. Our evening was saved... €350 in sales. Unfortunately, without being able to try the probably very good food at Varadero, I won't be coming back here. Otherwise a very nice atmosphere, even if it felt like 50°C and no exhaust air.
