I've been going to this restaurant for years and am always very satisfied. The ambience and the cocktails are very harmonious. If you feel like Spanish music, lightness and enjoying your time, you've come to the right place!

Really cool restaurant with very tasty cuisine. The ambience is great and the deck is unique, you immediately feel like you're on vacation.

Now an institution. The mojito is really excellent, the decor is rustic, the heart and soul is Johann, the Cuban boss, who runs the shop with charm and wit. Many a Cuban party has been celebrated here over the years!

Unfortunately no card payment possible. The walls were written on with Sharpie by various people, which was strange at first but didn't bother me as the evening progressed

Absolute recommendation! Food was delicious, cocktails were delicious, service was nice and friendly and the prices were also completely ok. You just can't pay by card, but there's an ATM just around the corner.

It sends ambience. The service staff are hard-working, but sometimes overwhelmed. The cocktails are really good for the price.

Varadero is a WONDER bar: the tastiest cocktails, great and varied food and the staff is incredibly nice. You feel at home and also like you are in Cuba at the same time. You automatically get the desire to travel. I would recommend Varadero 1000 times ♥️

I can't comment on how drinks and food are in this restaurant, so my review is solely about the service and treatment of guests. We were a group of 7 and had a confirmed reservation at 7:30 p.m. It was my birthday, I was very happy and was looking forward to an evening with my friends. I came at 7:38 p.m. and as soon as I walked in there was a strange mood from the waiter/owner. No hello, he looked away. 2 minutes later he came to me without saying hello and said it wasn't okay that I was late (8 minutes) and so were the others (came 15 minutes later). Then 5 minutes later he came back to my table and said again that it wasn't possible that we were late. Until then, not once had anyone asked me if I wanted to order anything. Because I was ready to order. Drinks for my friends and small snacks first, then main courses later. But nobody asked. That's why I asked the waiter, after he gave me a very unfriendly lecture, what he was about? About sales? Then he said it wasn't about the money but about his specifications. After everyone was there, another waitress (also not very friendly) took 2 drinks and then had to go to the kitchen. After that she didn't come back for 15 minutes. There were also nasty looks from the waiter/owner. Then I wanted to ask him a question and he referred to his colleague and didn't want to talk to me anymore. I have never experienced being put under so much pressure and ignored as a guest. And I can say that I am always a friendly soul, I come from the catering industry myself and I usually understand everything that happens in a restaurant. But that was too much. I feel sorry for the waiter who may have had a bad day or may have such unfriendly standards that perhaps you can't blame him. If he had simply been patient for 15 minutes and not lectured me as a guest, this table would probably have made €300 in sales. This action was absolutely damaging to the business and if it was really the owner, it was even worse that he behaved like that. Because the waiter's mood became increasingly strange and we weren't served, we left. My mood was gone. Luckily we found a great Italian restaurant a few doors down. It was worlds!! Difference !! Friendly welcome, super friendly waiters with interesting conversations, perfect service at the table. Little surprises because it was my birthday. Our evening was saved... €350 in sales. Unfortunately, without being able to try the probably very good food at Varadero, I won't be coming back here. Otherwise a very nice atmosphere, even if it felt like 50°C and no exhaust air.

I enjoy coming here with friends; we are always warmly welcomed and served. The drinks are highly recommended and the owner is very warm and hospitable, he always manages to put a smile on our faces! Every visit is a real pleasure and we feel at home every time.

Very good and really authentic food! Fast and good service. It was a little too dark for me to read the map, it's definitely a matter of opinion. Go there, try it out! There was even a parking space to be found.

Ein tolles Restaurant mit tollem Ambiente. Essen hat sehr gut geschmeckt. Allerdings waren wir (Familie, 4 Personen) über die Portionen enttäuscht. Trotz Vorspeise und Nachtisch sind wir hungrig aus dem Restaurant gegangen. Sehr schade. Dee Service war durchwachsen. Zunächst ein Mann, dee sehr nett war. Anschließend hat uns eine Dame bedient, die extrem unterkühlt war - etwas überraschend für ein kubanisches Restaurant.

Gut und selbst gekocht. Ehrliche Küche, faire Preise. Ein Gefühl von Berlin im Jahre 2002. Bedeutet: kein fancy chic, aber ehrliche, gute Bedienung, gutes kubanisches Essen, wo ein echter Mensch in der Küche steht der wirklich kocht und nicht nur Tüten aufmacht Hat mich mit der Erfahrung der letzten Tage in der Gastro Berlins wieder etwas versöhnt Danke

Das Essen ist super preisgünstig sowie auch die Cocktails. Ich glaube, es gibt in ganz Berlin kein Mojito für 5,50 EUR, der so gut schmeckt. Die Bedienung Inklusive Chef bringen die kubanische Lebensart nach Berlin.

Das Varadero ist eine authentische kubanische Kneipe, sehr beliebt. Die Mitarbeiter dort sind ausgesprochen sympathisch, und meiner Meinung nach servieren sie den besten Mojito in Berlin – ein Genuss, den man mit Abstand so nirgendwo sonst in der ganzen Stadt findet.

Me pedí un pollo a la criolla y estuvo muy rico me encantó, quizá que la sal la tengan medida es apropósito porque me faltó una pizca de sal para intensificar el sabor delicioso que tenía. Vuelvo sí o sí! La atención muy buena y el volumen de la música es bastante aceptable y regulado para todavía mantener una buena conversación. ✨✨✨ el precio de los cócteles esta genial también y la cantidad de comida esta bien, al menos para mí 😍

Insgesamt ist es sehr schön hier. Allerdings muss man anmerken: zum ersten Mal in meinem Leben, erlebe ich es, dass man nach 15 min. nicht weiter trinken oder etwas anders bestellen rausgeschmissen wird, indem einem gesagt wird: Darf ich euch abkassieren, Obwohl wir weiter hätten trinken wollen. Unverständlich.

Von den tollen Menschen die dort arbeiten (vorallem Yohan) bis hin zu den leckeren und preisgünstigen Cocktails- mega ! Ich komme immer gerne auf einen Erdbeer Daiquiri vorbei und genieße die einzigartige Atmosphäre. Von Herzen zu empfehlen!

Wir sind eine große Gruppe. Die Kellnerin war von Anfang an unfreundlich zu uns. Am Ende des Abends hatten wir ein Missverständnis wegen unserer Bestellung, wir haben 9 Cocktails bestellt und bezahlt, sie sagten es fehlen noch 2 zu bezahlen, konnten aber nicht sagen warum. Am Ende haben wir 9 Cocktails getrunken und 11 bezahlt und sind mit einem komischen Gefühl nach Hause gegangen

Bei unserem Besuch in Berlin sind wir auf Grund einer Empfehlung ins Varaderoberlin gegangen. Und was soll ich sagen. Die Empfehlung war echt Gold wert. Wir haben uns erstmal der Cocktailkarte gewidmet und dann dem Essen. Tolle Auswahl, viele Klassiker und auch einige Besonderheiten. Wir haben uns sowohl bei den Cocktails als auch beim Essen für Sachen entschieden die wir bisher noch nicht getestet haben. Und wir wurden nicht enttäuscht. Super leckere Cocktails und das Essen ein Gedicht. Frische Zutaten und perfekt abgeschmeckt. Einfach nur lecker. Das Personal war auch total nett. Man konnte sehen das dort etliche Stammgäste verkehren die das Personal natürlich kannte und auch persönlich mit ihnen sprachen. Obwohl wir das 1. Mal da waren wurden wir auch sofort aufgenommen als wären wir regelmäßig da. Das gibt einem gleich ein gutes Gefühl. Egal ob Besucher in Berlin oder als Einheimischer, das Varaderoberlin sollte man auf jeden Fall besuchen. Unbedingt vorher reservieren!

Varadero * Restaurant/Cocktailbar * Leider immer sehr laut dort!! Ungemütlich🙄 Essen und Drinks sind gut, nette Bedienung, nicht zu teuer. Tischreservierung ist zu empfehlen, immer sehr voll. Da geht man gern wieder hin.

Perfekt place to go for some authentic Cuban food or even just for some delicious cocktails! The service was always friendly and the prices are more than fair. The waiting times for cocktails were a bit long but that's understandable when the business is booming. The indoors graffiti fits the place perfect and gives it a great vibe. Deffinetly worth a visit... Or multiple!

Hier gibs mal etwas anderes an Speisen. Die sind neu und ungewöhnlich, aber durchaus lecker. Dazu gibt es günstige Cocktails. Und zum Abschluß gibt es eine kleine mini Mangomargarita. 👍

Ich war gestern mal wieder, gefühlt nach Jahren, wieder dort. Es ist immer noch, wie vor zwanzig Jahren. Die Cocktails sind immer noch günstig und lecker, die Wände und Decken sind immer noch mit Sprüchen von den Gästen voll geschrieben und dazu wird das Ganze mit Spanischer Musik untermalt. Es wirkt ein bisschen abgeranzt, aber es macht dadurch auch den lockeren und entspannten Charme aus. Viele kommen hier her, bevor sie im Havanna Club Salsa oder Merengue tanzen gehen.

No volveré por el trato de los camareros , horrible , y un hombre en tirantes lleno de pelos trayendo la comida , poco higiénico. Te tiran el plato encima de la mesa como si fueras un animal de granja y te hablan como si te fueran a hacer un favor . Aunque sea un cubano y el ambiente sea más relajado , debemos de hacernos respetar para progresar .
