Wir waren jetzt in mehreren Jahren viermal im Pequena Habana. Und wir waren viermal begeistert! Im Oktober 2023 haben wir dort mit Freunden und Familie unsere Silberhochzeit gefeiert. Jetzt waren wir mit Kindern und Enkelkind noch einmal dort. Es war wieder ein Lottogewinn! Authentisch, superlecker, gastfreundlich. Dor passt alles! Es lohnt sich; und das Essen ist seinen Preis AUF JEDEN FALL wert!

The history of this location for businesses has not been very good. Over the last 15 years in my observation. It was a tapas bar that did not last very long. Then there was another Spanish restaurant that lasted for awhile but, disappeared. Soon after, Pequena Habana opened it doors. Within a short time the place was busy and has been ever since. Took a little while before I checked out the place with my girl and found that it is great! One of the key things I think why the restaurant is successful is that the proprietors I from Cuba. Looks to me like it’s a family business with a lot of heart put into the business and a lot of love put into the business and into the place. The decor is comfortable and very Cuban. This word great doesn’t really describe but, you have to be there and “taste there” to know what I mean. I’ve been there a few times and checked out several of their dishes. Now, I’m not a expert on Cuban food. My favourite actually is Mexican food. But, all of their dishes are full of flavour. And when you come back for the same dish it looks and taste the same. Their menu is not that expensive at all. Seems that they know the rules of restauranting. by not putting too many items or making a Bible out of their menu. It is served in a “nouveau cuisine” style but, there is enough to eat on the plate. So, the dishes I’ve tried were “Roper Vieja” which is Cuban style braised in shredded beef soup with rice black beans home-made fritters and salad. The other dish I’ve tried is the “Bistro de Palomilla (res)” which is ribeye steak marinade in garlic lime juice and onion soup with Maureen rice handmade fridges and salad. Both were exceptionally flavourful to my delight. They have these kind of funny green glass rectangle plates that they served the food on. I’ve never seen anything like it before; they are unique. Again, served in that “nouveau cuisine” style but, there is a enough to eat. The arrangement of the food on the plate is food for the eyes. And the prices are reasonable. Now, watch out for those drinks they serve and strong; really strong. If you really want to have that Cuban style flavour in Berlin, this is the place to come.

If you want to taste real Cuban food, this is the place you're looking for. I strongly recommend La yuca con mojo.it is another level. The staff is really cordial and nice. Also, it is a place where the atmosphere is family oriented.

The food is good, but definitely overpriced. Most dishes are between 20 and 30€, specially the fish dishes (which is normal). There is also not a big selection on the menu, but they always have a menu that changes weekly. And they have Portuguese beer, which is definitely a plus! The cocktails were also great and they had one or two vegetarian options. The service was also good. Not sure I recommend because of the ration quality-price, but good to have a one time experience.

Authentic Cuban restaurant: ambience, service, food, drinks (cocktails!), everything is perfect. We had the impression that we were the exception as guests from outside. Guests here, especially Spanish speakers, seem to like coming back. We will definitely do the same when we are in Berlin again.

We had dinner here this evening, were enchanted by the tempting daily menu and what can I say? It was fantastic . The service was super nice. I can only recommend it. Thank you for this great evening.🙏🏽

So everything is just right here: the service, the excellent food and the fact that you can sit outside at 11 p.m. on weekends in the summer.

Cozy and the service is courteous and flexible even if you don't have a reservation. The tuna was medium rare and very tasty. The vegetables were also tasty and the banana chips also visually enhanced the whole thing. I would say I'll come back. Highly recommended, something different than the inflationary Indian and Asian restaurants.

Sehr authentisches kubanisches Essen. Ich war schon 2x auf Kuba und bin daher großer Fan der Küche. Besonders das Ropa vieja hat mir gut geschmeckt. Die Drinks sind auch sehr gut und nicht zu vergessen die leckeren Vorspeisen.

Das Essen war sehr gut, wenn auch das Exotische ein wenig fehlte. Zu vielen Gerichten wird rote Bohnen Sauce serviert, wenn man die nicht mag, ist das natürlich nicht so doll. Der Preis ist fair, die Bedienung sehr nett. Ein wenig zu lange Wartezeiten, das Lokal ist sehr nett eingerichtet und relativ klein - Reservieren ist sinnvoll.

This small Cuban bar/restaurant is a pleasant surprise. The atmosphere is very pleasant. Cuban music is playing in the background, loud enough to hear, but not intrusive. We ordered the Bistec de Palomilla. Everything was superb including the salad, yuca, congrí, carmelized onions, and mariquitas; but what was surprising was the steak, which was almost an inch thick , done to perfection, and oh-so-tender. The perfect meal for the meat and potatoes man from Wisconsin and his Cubanita Bella.

Das "winzige Havana" bietet authentisch, typische, kubanische Speisen. Wir wurden schnell, freundlich und kompetent beraten und bedient. Speisen schmecken und sind reichlich. Genauso bei den Cocktails. An warmen Tagen sitzt man draußen gut.

Essen war gut aber zu wenig gewürzt. Salz darf ja fehlen aber keine Schärfe ist ein NoGo bei einem karibischen Essen. In der Karibik it viel mehr Feuer drin.

We ordered the tostones in shrimp and beef which were both delicious the beef one has ample flavour. For mains we had the pork cutlet and beef sirloin which were both delicious and packed with flavour. The rice and beans that came with the sirloin steak was really good. They served us Salad before our mains and it was refreshing plate before our mains.

Wir waren sehr zufrieden mit allem hier. Das Essen war insgesamt wirklich gut - der Salat könnte noch etwas mehr "Pepp" gebrauchen und es ist leider alles Recht teuer aber ansonsten empfehlenswert.

Seriously one of the best restaurants in Berlin! Amazing, authentic Cuban food and wonderful service! As a native New Yorker I am missing Latin food and this place did not disappoint. Thank you guys for a wonderful evening, we will be back!

Delicious food, we loved everything. Avocado salad with octopus 🐙, dorada fish, fried cassava. You need to wait quite long for the food, but it worth it. Servise is friendly and nice. We enjoyed our slow dinner here.

I have been contemplating writing this or not, but I feel like I should. I was pretty disappointed in the restaurant. The prices are pretty high for portions and drink quality. My main issue was that my rice and beans had a soapy taste to them. So either the plate was not fully cleaned or soap was in the water. Either way ick. Otherwise my squid was cooked well, my partner enjoyed his ropa vieja, and the yuca was decent. Inside I feel like it's a German tourists interpretation of Cuba with souvenirs strewn about a generally German style dining room, but maybe some people like that. The server wasn't the most friendly and she seemed a little confused by my Spanish. It's not like Vaqueros which I feel is extremely authentic from the decor, to the staff (all Latin), to the food. Response to Restaurant: ¿Por qué respondes en español? La mitad de su personal no puede hablarlo. Y un plato que sabe a jabón, especialmente un arroz, no se debe a un plato sucio. ¡Se debe a demasiado jabón! Doy mi opinión y puedes tomarlo o dejarlo.

Also hier stimmt einfach alles: der Service, das hervorragende Essen und dass man im Sommer am Wochenende auch noch um 23 Uhr draußen sitzen kann. Am genialsten war der Fisch: die ganze, gegrillte Dorade mit super leckeren Beilagen kann ich nur wärmstens empfehlen!

Also ich war heute mit meiner Schwester zum ersten mal in diesem wunderbaren Restaurant essen. Und schade das man nicht 10 Sterne vergeben kann, denn das haben sie wirklich verdient. Eine ganz liebe Kellnerin hat uns bedient Sehr freundlich und sehr aufmerksam. Das Essen oh mein Gott Sooooooo lecker..... Ich habe eine gegrillte Dorade gegessen und meine Schwester das maishähnchen mit Salat, als Vorspeise hatten wir die Yuka Wurzeln und Kochbananen. Es war alles vorzüglich. Und die Preise sind absolut in Ordnung.

Sehr gutes und leckeres kleines Restaurant. Gute Vorspeisen und auch Hauptgerichte. Große Portionen, deshalb sind wir zu den Nachspeisen nicht mehr gekommen. Sehr aufmerksamer, freundlicher und zugewandt Service. Ein Besuch lohnt sich auf jeden Fall.

ちょっと郊外の住宅街の中にある気取っていないレストラン。半分ぐらいのお客さんはローカル。豚のバラ肉の料理はは脂っこくなく豚の味がしっかりしてておおしかったです。タコとアボガドのサラダもボリュームがありおすすめ。

Super leckeres Essen in einem sehr schönen Ambiente. Absolut empfehlenswert. Die Bedienungen sind sehr zuvorkommend. Ich war nicht das letzte Mal dort.

Ich war am Freitagabend im Restaurant Pequeña Habana und hatte einen unglaublich tollen Abend! Das Essen war der Hammer und die Cocktails waren ebenfalls super lecker und haben perfekt zur kubanischen Atmosphäre gepasst. Der Service hatte viel zu tun, hat aber einen guten Job gemacht. Ich würde das Restaurant Pequeña Habana auf jeden Fall weiterempfehlen, wenn man ein tolles kubanisches Erlebnis in kubanischen Atmosphäre sucht. Ich werde definitiv wiederkommen!

I was looking for food that wasn't German (heavy for dinner), Italian (always my favourite) or Kebab (I had food poisoning last year and you can find Arabic anywhere in Berlin); I found this wonderful Cuban restaurant, with a season to make you fly to Latin America in direct connection. Fried cassava with two delicious sauces (avocado and beetroot) and “Ensalada Pasión del Chef” (avocado salad, sesame flavored beetroot, cherry tomatoes, and red onion) was my order. I would come back to try the stronger dishes with meat and beans at lunchtime. Muchas Gracias!!!!

Das Restaurant ist klein und, wenn es voller Gäste ist, unerträglich laut, zumal durch die Musikanlage dauerhaft ein nerviges Geräusch verursacht wurde von dem man nie wusste, ob es Musik 🎶 oder gesprochener Text war. Essen gibt es auch. Als Vorspeise weichen Maniok, der nach gar nichts schmeckte, in einer langweiligen Sauce. Die Baby-Tintenfische waren gut gewürzt und schmackhaft. Die Fisch- und Meeresfrüchtesuppe war eine Brühe bei der als einziges Gewürz viel Pfeffer herauszuschmecken war. Auch der Mai Thai war eine Enttäuschung. Der Service war mit dem Besucherandrang offensichtlich überfordert, agierte aber freundlich in all dem Chaos. Wir warteten 45 Minuten auf das Hauptgericht, die Weinbestellung wurde vergessen und wir versuchten uns schreiend zu unterhalten. Die Preise sind ambitioniert, das Essen war es nicht! Der erste Versuch die kubanische Küche kennenzulernen war eine Enttäuschung. Das Gute an jeder Ent-Täuschung ist: Man ist von einer Täuschung befreit.

Anoche fuimos a este restaurante que encontré en internet, estoy de visita en Alemania y quería encontrar un buen restaurante Cubano que me llevara a Cuba con el sabor…así fue!! Expectativas superadas pues todo estaba exquisito, el personal súper amables y acogedores y la comida…riquísima, todo de chuparse los dedos, desde el Mojito, la Caipirina, la piña colada, la canchanchara!! Los platos, el flan, en fin, si regreso a Berlín sin dudas regresaremos nuevamente 🇨🇺

The waitress was so helpful and knowledgeable when we had an issue with the food. Dishes are a bit on the pricier side so I would expect more from them. Ropa Vieja was very tasty, I would recommend that main dish to try if you like shredded beef.

Das Essen ist wirklich top. Lecker und frisch. Allerdings hatten wir zwei Kids dabei, welche nur etwas trinken wollten und haben zum Schluss noch einen Gutschein zum Zahlen benutzt. Dabei hatten wir den Eindruck, die Bedienung zu nerven... Vielleicht gehören wir nicht zur richtigen Klientel... Schade.
