Vapori in Berlin

SOOOO SWEET PEOPLE. So delicious food and so clean would give 10 stars but unfortunately that's not possible.

Unfortunately not a great experience. There were four of us. We ordered four Prosecco and antipasto platter. The Prosecco took already quite some time and was not fresh, no bubbles. Our antipasto platter took half an hour, it was really no warm food. The tomato pesto was off, so was the other pesto. The Salamis were obviously from a supermarket packet and looked really cheap. The place was so hot and stuffy, no ventilation at all. And they were cooking just two metres from you. I can't unfortunately recommend it.

I won't go there again: chicken breast leathery, portion of penne manageable, house wine ok, but the prices are way too high. 6.90 for 1 bottle. Water - a joke! You sit close together, too many tables in a small space. There are many better restaurants. No card payment: so again “pocket placement” from the boss. I hate that!

The pizza was ok - dough was good, toppings could have been better. Serving wise - they don’t speak almost any English and you cannot pay by card.

Little cute shop. Unfortunately, if you order pasta arrabiata you get pasta napoli and even if you complain about it, it won't be corrected. Unfortunately we didn't like the food, so we went somewhere else to eat afterwards.

I WARN YOU: you can't pay by card and the staff speaks very little English. JENDKAZE is easy to communicate with. The food is delicious, I really recommend the pasta, cooked perfectly al dente, so perfect!!! While I took an average dish which I don't really recommend (capres3 on bread, yo yo, one slice of tomato, one slice of mozzarella baked on bread), the capresse or bruschetta that my dad took was amazing!!!

Been here for the second time exactly after a year for a conference. And again I wasn't disappointed. The mezzelune with porcini mushrooms and truffles was very good, the family running it was very friendly and the espresso was on the house! I'd love to come back next time!

So I can't understand the reviews regarding the food. At least for us, the food was consistently very tasty. I can recommend the spinach sauce with gnocchi! And the portions are big enough. The staff was very friendly, although we had to invest a lot of time after placing our order. It probably took over 30 minutes. Our neighbor at the table also said that you would have to take some time if you wanted to eat here, but it would taste very good. I can only confirm that it was really worth it.

Instead of olive oil there was frying oil. Instead of carbonara there was pasta with cream sauce and cooked ham. Unfortunately, only cash payment was possible and to top it off, the service was unfriendly. Definitely not a recommendation. I wonder where all the good reviews come from. It has nothing to do with Italian cuisine.

My wife and I both had the al arrabiata pasta. It was so good and spicy with great flavor and portion size. Please be advised that you have to pay with cash. I didn't have enough euros but they accepted US dollars.

Great place for italian food! 😋 We ordered their seasonal pumpkin soup, which was creamy and tasty. For pasta we had their homemade pesto which we highly recommend, and also the pumpkin penne. Their tiramisu is also well made, it wasnt too sweet which we preferred.

45 minutes of waiting for 2 fast-food category pizzas of very poor quality with barely defrosted vegetables for the vegetarian pizza!!! A thin and dry dough! We don't tell you that they only accept cash payments!

The dishes was ok. Expensive, very unfriendly service. Without air conditioning and no credit card accepted. The bill was without details. Sorry, it's feel like as a tourist trap.

CASH ONLY! Food ok, nothing great. Service is quite bad, one waitress (in a bad mood), but the unacceptable is to only take cash in the center of Berlin. Ca'mon, you are not in a village in the middle of nowhere. The same problem happened to the table next to mine. At least you should put a MAJOR SIGN saying you only take cash.

It’s fine. Nice people and friendly service. Probably should have chosen the specials but was not in the mood for gnocchi. Spaghetti were cooked to perfection, arrabbiata sauce wasn’t hot at all. Pino Grigio was the only open wine option for a white wine, and it was meh. Bruschetta tasted like they were designed with a German patronage in mind. So much potential here, and I’ll try again when I am back in the town.

We visited Berlin for 2 days. On the first evening we (2 adults 3 children) visited this small and charming Italian restaurant. We were very satisfied with the quality of the food and the friendly nature of the staff. So much so that our children urged us to eat here again on the second evening. On the second evening we were immediately recognized again, and the chef came straight to me and pointed out that he had the lasagne today, which had been sold out the night before. I didn't expect that and it makes you feel like you're coming home. I would be happy to give this a full rating. Thank you dear Vapori team for two lovely evenings with you.

Very good food, very nice workers, small but fine restaurant and the prices were very reasonable. I definitely recommend it if you're in Berlin. It's a very good place to visit.

Nice little Italian restaurant on a side street. The owners brought out two extra tables for us so we could sit outside even though we didn't have a reservation. The food was also extremely good and fairly priced. There is also enough choice for vegetarians. I deducted one star because you couldn't pay by card (as of May 23, 2024), alcoholic drinks weren't on the menu (but they were) and a pizza was incorrectly priced.

I went there with some of my friends while we were at a class trip and the food was so so delicious and everyone was soooo super nice to us! It was awesome!

A friendly pizzeria with a warm welcome, attentive service and quality ingredients

They fixed a table for us despite it being late at night and many guests. Everyone in the party ordered pizza and everyone was happy with their choices. Can be highly recommended for the simple evening meal!

Nice restaurant and nice staff. Pizza was tasty, but average for the price. I ordered carbonara myself, the pasta itself was delicious, but it was a far cry from carbonara with guanciale, pecorino romano and the traditional egg sauce.

Tourist trap, not coming back. All the ordered food (pizza, pasta & lasagne) seemed like pre-made and frozen. The cherry on the top was the "bill" - random amount shown on the calculator app on a phone screen.

Absolutely 5 stars. Me and my friend are on a schooltrip to Berlin and were looking for a Italian place, we defenitely found it! It was easily the best pasta we have had in a while. The service was great, the people working there were so sweet too. Would defenitely recommend!

I was looking for a great pizza around Zoologischer Garten and I found it in Vapori! Danke und grazie mille! Pizza was soo Italian. As all magnificient things, Vapori's pizza looks so simple and humble, but with the first bite you feel the burst of flavour. It is soo tasty and it is huge. The atmosphere feels so Italian too. It was such a lovely place to be.

The staff barely spoke English and show no pleasure serving you. There was no bill, The 'Chef' just came to tell me how much I'm supposed to pay.

From the decor to the food, to the drink and the service…..simply lovely! A great find on a sleepy Easter weekend! Will come back on our next visit to Berlin. Cannot fault this place, and, if you read my other reviews, I’m fussy!

Sad pizza Frutti di Mare for "courageous" €14.90...the garlic/tomato sauce pasta with 3 beautiful mussels and toppings for €2.50 should be a decent pizza when it's big. The pizza was rather embarrassing, but the ambience was actually very nice.

Strange, the varying and also very negative reviews. Small Italian restaurant where we found the atmosphere pleasant. Service from the owner and I think his wife was good and the food (we had pizza and lasagna) was the same. The price didn't seem to exactly match the menu, but there was no more than 10%, so they could have that tip from me.

Very cozy little restaurant! I would definitely make a reservation for the evening, otherwise it can get very crowded. The food was very good and there is usually a daily menu with seasonal recommendations. The service is also very attentive! The only thing I complain about is that you can only pay with cash. Otherwise great 🤩

Extremely slow service. The dishes all arrived at different times. We ordered pasta carbonara and it didn't have bacon. My salad never had parmesan cheese. Half of the food was junk, like French fries and fried calamari, never cooked in a restaurant. The explanation was that in Germany the dishes are different 🤷‍♀️

Very nice staff, good food and a very cozy atmosphere

The food, starter and salad, bread, pizza, penne with very tasty tomato pesto, was all very good. What wasn't so good was that our jackets and clothes smelled terribly like food and you couldn't pay cashless.
