Vapiano in Bonn

I've always been a big Vapiano fan, but I think they've waned a lot. Of course the prices have also increased, the quality of the food and the freshness of the ingredients have decreased, which is very regrettable! There is a very nice lady at the reception, a food preparation employee is not particularly customer-oriented. Unfortunately, the (women's) toilets are not clean either. I don't know if I'll go there again :/

I was in this restaurant recently and ordered a dish for €16.50. Unfortunately, the portion of meat was extremely small - just two small pieces that weighed less than 50 g. I definitely expected more for the price. The portion was so small that I had to order more to fill myself up. The friendly staff and the sufficient parking facilities should be positively highlighted. The ambience was pleasant, but unfortunately I was disappointed by the price-performance ratio

The Vapiano on Ollenhauerstrasse in Bonn offers its guests a variety of Italian dishes that are freshly prepared. The homemade pasta and the crispy pizzas are particularly popular. As always, very good! The food tastes very tasty. The portions are large and filling. The ingredients taste very fresh. Price-performance ratio is good. The staff is helpful and friendly. We always feel comfortable there. Everything was great, we will continue to come by regularly :) Update 2025: I used to eat there regularly. Now back after months and I was pretty disappointed. Unfortunately the new menu is no longer so good. The Pasta Verdure is no longer available :(

The friendly atmosphere and the Italian-inspired terrace make me feel at home. The perfect place for a quiet and relaxed meal with family or friends. Special thanks to Merita for her recommendations and kindness and to the staff who served us for lunch today. All in all, it's one of my favorite restaurants in Bon. Actually a typical Vapiano. The cards that you used to have to order are no longer available; now you order at the terminal like with the big M, for example. The staff was really friendly, except the man at the bar didn't really seem like he liked guests. The food was ok, but the pasta was undercooked, it wasn't al dente but half raw. Portions as usual in terms of taste and good size. Interior clean and bright.

We were there at lunch time. Self service, the food tasted good. I waited about 15 minutes for my Pinsa. Price with drink was OK.

1 hour waiting time, we ordered at the table, after 20 minutes we noticed no reaction, no drinks came, we asked questions and then said, you haven't sent the order yet, we then sent it together with the employee who was there, who was also super friendly (renewed), waited for 40 minutes. Nothing has arrived, we go and ask and then say nothing has arrived. In the end, we packed up our stories and just left. I don't know what went wrong, but I find it rude that a customer has to wait so long for their food. Thank you for the great service

The staff were extremely nice, polite and attentive.. Personally, I would work a little more on the lighting design. The large room seemed a bit hall-like and impersonal.

Food Delicious, but unfortunately parmesan was grated over a vegan pasta -> target missed.

I ate a Pinsa Funghi in your branch on February 13th, 2025 and had extreme stomach pain afterwards. A few hours later I vomited violently - so much that the entire contents of my stomach came out. I clearly saw the remains of the food, so I can say with certainty that that was the problem. It wasn't just a bit of discomfort, it was really bad. I lay flat in severe pain and couldn't keep anything down. Besides, I hadn't eaten anything else that day except this pinsa. This makes it completely clear to me that it is food poisoning. Something like this shouldn't happen. I really hope you control your quality and hygiene more strictly so that no one else has to go through this. I await feedback on this.

I didn't like it. Neither the concept nor the food. The location is okay but there was no feel-good atmosphere. I have no problem getting my own food, but it was almost empty and it took a while... The few guests caused a lot of noise and if promotional meals are no longer current, you shouldn't advertise the promotion on every table. In addition, ordering at the table was not possible. It may be suitable for families with small children. The sessions didn't seem terribly comfortable either. All in all, not for me.

The menu said there was no pizza available and then the little brat next to me suddenly had a pizza and I had to eat Pinsa. And I had to get my own food. Toilets were very clean

But you don't necessarily have to do it at the front of the terminal; you can also do it conveniently at the table using your smartphone. What good is a nice atmosphere if the staff is unfriendly and overwhelmed. We were looking forward to Vapiano. The food is always good. So also in Bonn We just wanted take away. Saturday evening 8 p.m. The restaurant was at most 1/4 full. Lots of staff visible. It took over 30 minutes to complete 2 simple standard pasta dishes. We weren't in a hurry. When we asked after 30 minutes whether we might have done something wrong, the lady at the pick-up directed us back. She couldn't answer us. She doesn't have time, otherwise the food will burn. This was not noticeable to us. I don't want to know what would be going on if the store was only doing average business. A gentleman at the pickup later voluntarily went to the cook and asked about our food. Even then it still took time. The preparation time and the unfriendliness of the lady at the pick up are unacceptable. The lady at reception, however, was very friendly. The noodles tasted bland. The gnocchi was very tasty. We can only advise against Vapiano in Bonn.

Friendly manager and staff who was able to quickly accomodate a large group (25) of us. Food arrived quickly and was decent value for money, with options for vegetarians and vegans. We could conveniently order and pay individually on our phones or at machines.

I've been a regular at Vapiano for several years and it's always good. The service is consistently good, the staff extremely friendly. The lunch deal in particular impresses me every time - perfect for a relaxed lunch break. Keep it up!”

Very tasty, service was super friendly

First of all I would like to say that I find this concept of self-service absolutely terrible. It forces every guest to use their cell phone to order the menu. Personally, I find this very unpleasant. You're more busy with your smartphone than having a nice conversation. But that's just my personal opinion. The ambience is okay if you like large restaurants. The service is very helpful. The bruscceta and tomato soup are highly recommended, but the pasta really disappointed us. Too bad we won't come back.

Good parking, friendly staff, dogs allowed, nice decoration. Food 2 out of 5, noodles were overcooked and mushy, food was very bland, price/performance ratio was very poor.

After Corona, Vapiano had a bad time when it came to food. But I have the feeling that this problem has disappeared into thin air again. The food, again beyond all expectations, really impressed me. Likewise the staff, who were very courteous and friendly. P.S. Anyone who wants to come with a dog can do so without hesitation and will also receive a bowl of water at the table without asking. That surprised me very positively.

Empty restaurant €20 for a plate of pasta and a drink. It was empty, very cold

Super nice employees at reception and at the counter. We like to come to the lunch deal. Price-performance ratio definitely fits. We always like to come back!

Sit in the restaurant at 7:30 p.m. It's cold in the entire restaurant. Ordering process like at McDonalds. If I had to go to the kitchen myself to cook my food, it wouldn't actually be a restaurant anymore. It's amusing to then ask for a tip.

The two self-ordering screens are very practical, but there is a longer waiting time when there is a lot of traffic. The children's menus are very well priced. The pinsas taste good, the pasta dishes are kind of soggy.

Food was tasty. The problem is food distribution. If I hadn't stood there and asked, I don't know how much longer we would have waited. There were probably 6 pasta dishes waiting to be served that were not picked up and were probably already cold by now. My friend's order wasn't delivered in one go either, so eating together wasn't possible. Their food was also only lukewarm. It's a shame that preparing and serving it doesn't work without any problems. It was Sunday after 5 p.m.

Not exactly cheap, but tasty. Unfortunately, you cannot deselect ingredients when ordering via the terminal. Lots of seats, parking spaces in front of the house.

Good selection of dishes, if everyone has different preferences they can usually be served here. The atmosphere is nice too, especially outside in summer. There is a star deduction because 1. it is often very loud and 2. you have to give the food back here and there because the pasta isn't done yet.

Very tasty, hot food. It wasn't too crowded, calm ambience. You can either put together your order yourself at an order point with a pager or conveniently at the table using a QR code. I think it's great that you can add or deselect precise ingredients. The portions are completely sufficient. There is one point of criticism for the toilets. Unfortunately, they weren't clean at all, and they definitely need to be reworked.

The selection of pasta, pizza and salads leaves nothing to be desired, and the concept of preparing the dishes individually to suit your taste is simply great. Particularly noteworthy is the quality of the ingredients - everything is fresh, crunchy and of the best quality. My personal favorite is the homemade pasta with fresh pesto rosso, which tastes simply fantastic. But the pizzas are also excellent – ​​crispy, richly topped and full of flavor. The staff is friendly, attentive and always ready to fulfill requests or advise on selection. The cleanliness of the restaurant and the pleasant background music also contribute to an all-round successful visit. All in all, Vapiano Bonn Ollenhauerstraße is a place I can highly recommend. Not only is excellent food served here, but it also offers a completely harmonious overall experience. I'll definitely be back!

Price-performance ratio is totally wrong. Noodles are sticky, shrimp and minced meat can hardly be seen and then you have to give a tip beforehand. Rarely have we had such a bad meal. I really can't recommend it any further.

The first impression is reminiscent of the Mitropa flair in the east. On second look you have to revise that. Friendly staff, quick service and the food is adequate. The lady at the desk put a lot of effort into helping me - thank you!

Stylish pizzeria on the outskirts of Bonn. A bit remote but still well attended. I actually think the concept with ordering terminals and self-service is pretty cool, but the price should be accordingly. This is comparable to other restaurants that offer service. My pizza was ok but not a highlight. All in all rather mixed here.

Been here for the first time in a long time. No more consumption cards, everything via cell phone. Notifications don't work, ready for collection is shown as picked up, half didn't come at all, extras were forgotten. In general, the earlier flair of “watching my food being made” is missing. And at home we both have grumbling stomachs... We won't come back again.

Durchschnittliche Gerichte für völlig überteuerte Preise, sowohl für die Speisen als auch für die Getränke. Hätte ich mir die Speisekarte vor dem Besuch angesehen, wären wir definitiv woanders hingegangen. Preis-Leistung stimmt überhaupt nicht mehr, das war vor ein paar Jahren bei dieser Kette mal anders.

Average dishes for completely overpriced prices, both for the food and the drinks. Had I looked at the menu before visiting, we definitely would have gone somewhere else. Price-performance is no longer right at all, things were different with this chain a few years ago.

The organization is the problem. The pinsa tastes very good, the pizza is okay, the pasta was very good. The main problem, however, is that you have to go to the issue yourself but are only informed of this via SMS (and are actually only allowed to collect it) when all parts of the order are ready. This results in the pizza piling up in the serving area and getting cold, and you end up with a - not exaggerated - cold pizza that has been stale for 20 minutes. There is also a queue at the output and one person has to put all the folders together and output them. The staff was kind enough to reheat the pizza later. 0.5 sugar drinks 6 euros. Pizza pasta 9-18 euros, tip: google “LEAN management in the catering industry” and improve it. Maybe there will be time to clean the toilet... it looked the same when we arrived and 75 minutes later.

Ordering via the app is a bit unusual, but okay. Food in the well-known Vapiano style. I really like the ambience, parking options are somewhat limited.

The ambience gives the impression of a waiting room with bar tables. When we arrived some tables had not been cleared. Service was friendly but not enough staff for such a large restaurant. Food was ok but nothing special, my Cesar salad was manageable with not enough chicken strips.

Her friendly and attentive nature makes every meal a special experience. Anja always makes you feel welcome - no matter how stressful things might be in the restaurant. The staff are very friendly and I always feel like I'm in good hands:) The food is ok, it's just relaxed. But the toilets are really sad, so dirty. But there is always soap and paper towels. That's good.

Had a lovely lunch with pumpkin soup and pesto pasta. The peach tea was really good and the espresso macchiato was the perfect way to wrap up lunch. Will be going again.

Many, many years ago, Vapiano was a favorite for pasta and pizza for me. The ordering system has now been switched from card booking and queuing before food is served or ordered to pagers and a digital ordering system. You can think of that what you want. If you have to take over the service yourself, in times of staff shortages, fine.... However, I find it outrageous to increase the price so steeply. The worst thing for me is that the taste of the food and the price-performance ratio were subpar. The Kinderpinsa was sticky bread dough with tomato sauce and cheese and two vegetable grains. Costs 2 euros in the supermarket. No taste, no quality. The child didn't want to eat the pinsa. The Pasta di Crema, supposedly with white wine, cream, mushrooms and parsley, was served with previously unspecified incredibly dry wholemeal pasta (the information only says spelled) and tasted like cream with Maggi. There was nothing to be found of white wine or balanced taste. Three half mushrooms and no trace of garlic, as well as three crumbs of cheese. And that for over 15 euros. 4.30 for a 0.33 Cola is exorbitant and the other guest's pasta was terribly dry and served with little sauce, although not quite as inedible as the cream pasta. Positive: Upon request, sauce was delivered, but unfortunately it still had a bad taste and was not edible. Conclusion: One of the most overpriced and worst dining experiences in Bonn for a long time, with after-effects of grumbling in the stomach and discomfort, no longer comparable to the old Vapiano and, on top of that, no service because service has been replaced by digital contact and self-service, the process of which you have to guess. Too bad.

The restaurant has a great ambience and the staff is also very friendly. However, the food is often undercooked. The pizzas were still raw dough and the pasta was still hard. Unfortunately, I can't recommend eating here because the staff didn't respond correctly to advice. I also think that the ordering system is not suitable for everyone, as it can be very stressful and time-consuming.

The employee gave me the WRONG order!!! I ordered a pizza but then got a pasta. I also ordered a coffee which ALSO wasn't delivered...! What a shame here, at least the people are still nice...

Not really comfortable, more of a large hall than a restaurant. A crisp 15 euros for a simple “everyday pizza” that only tasted average is brazen and too expensive. The drinks are also significantly too expensive and there is neither beer nor wine with the meal (at least not at this ordering machine). You order from a machine (it's one of several options, some can also order at the table using a QR code), get a pager and pick up your food from a counter as soon as the pager beeps and rattles. So the “service” is minimal and even though you do everything yourself and have to pick up your food from a counter, the ordering machine asks you to add a tip to the bill when you pay. No enjoyment, no experience. But it's endlessly expensive. Once and never again.

Unfortunately, the taste of the food always depends very much on the cook. Some of the dishes are barely seasoned and only fried very briefly. Last time it was barely edible.

Unfortunately, Vapiano has declined quite a bit in recent years: Pizzas are now called Pinsen, are half the size and cost €10-15. It's probably ready-made dough, my pizza was baked far too short and was cold before the other dish was ready. There was chaos at the pickup point. Definitely no longer recommended! (The only cool thing is ordering via QR code.) Addition: Normally the reaction would be something like: "Sorry that we served you a cold (frozen) pizza, a plate of pasta and two drinks for 40 euros." Vapiano AI, on the other hand, cheekily claims that only fresh ingredients are used and the dough is made in-house...

For me it's just an overpriced canteen. Ice tea for just under €6 and somewhat awkward staff. Unfortunately it's no longer what it was. Still grateful for the food.

I ordered a pinsa and bruschetta. In terms of quality, the whole thing was fine. The vegan selection is great. However, the ordering system is annoying and error-prone. But the prices are really outrageous and not in line with the market. High prices are okay, but then the portion size has to be right. Unfortunately nothing is right here.

We were there as a public organization with 50 people, and the arrangements in advance were uncomplicated and smooth. The service was super fast, good and super friendly. The food was very tasty and the atmosphere was very cozy. Everyone was more than satisfied, we would love to come back!!! THANKS!

I was completely amazed by Vapiano! The best pasta I've ever eaten - the chicken alfredo with extra champions is to die for. The perfect combination of tender chicken, creamy sauce and freshly prepared pasta makes this dish a true taste experience. The quality of the ingredients and the loving preparation are noticeable in every bite. Added to this is the pleasant atmosphere and friendly service. I highly recommend Vapiano and will definitely come back!

Tested again after a long time - you could have saved money. Cola from the bottle: €4.20 Mozzarella is sold as burrata. Even when complaining, there is no insight into the difference between burrata and mozzarella. That was definitely the last visit to Vapiano.

The staff understands almost no German.... A portion of pasta with extra chicken costs 17.50 EUR and is a children's plate in terms of quantity. If the portion had been twice as large, it would have been a small portion. Never again. Too bad.

Today we visited the Vapiano in Bonn, Ollenhauerstrasse again after years. What was positive right from the start was that you can place your orders via a self-service terminal or QR code. When the dish is ready, you will be notified via cell phone or buzzer and can pick it up at the pick-up station. You order drinks from the waitress. About the food: The pinsa sticks we ordered as a starter were a bit too salty for our taste. However, the three dips that came with it - especially the guacamole - were very tasty. The pasta dish “All'Arrabbiata” was a bit weak on the chest and could have used a good splash of chili. A big disappointment was the Linguine Crema di Funghi (champions, onions, cream, white wine, parsley). The noodles stuck together and there was almost no sign or taste of the sauce. Cream? White wine?  Niente! It felt like the dish only contained a single normal-sized champion, cut into wafer-thin slices. But the absolute highlight was the Pasta Carbonara Salmone❣️ Perfectly prepared bell pasta and smoked salmon mixed with a delicious carbonara sauce. Highly recommended. Finally, praise to the friendly and helpful service staff.

Heute besuchten wir nach Jahren wieder einmal das Vapiano in Bonn, Ollenhauerstraße. Positiv fiel gleich zu Beginn auf, dass man seine Bestellungen per SB-Terminal oder QR-Code aufgeben kann. Wenn das Gericht fertig ist, bekommt man via Handy oder Buzzer bescheid und kann es an der Pick-up-Station abholen. Getränke bestellt man bei der Servicekraft. Zum Essen: Die als Vorspeise bestellten Pinsasticks waren nach unserem Geschmack etwas zu salzig. Allerdings waren die drei dazu gelieferten Dips - besonders die Guacamole - sehr lecker. Das Pasta-Gericht “All'Arrabbiata” war etwas schwach auf der Brust und hätte einen ordentlichen Spritzer Chili mehr vertragen können. Eine große Enttäuschung waren die Linguine Crema di Funghi (Champions, Zwiebeln, Sahne, Weißwein, Petersilie). Die Nudeln kleben zusammen und von der Sauce war so gut wie nichts zu sehen und zu schmecken. Sahne? Weißwein?  Niente! Gefühlt enthielt das Gericht auch nur einen einzigen Champion von normaler Größe, der in hauchdünne Scheibchen geschnitten wurde. Das absolute Highlight aber war die Pasta Carbonara Salmone❣️ Perfekt zubereitete Glöckchen-Nudeln und Räucherlachs vermengt mit einer köstlichen Carbonara-Sauce. Sehr zu empfehlen. Abschließend noch ein Lob an die freundlichen und hilfsbereiten Servicekräften.

For God's sake... Terrible. Totally chaotic and totally understaffed due to vacation or illness or bad planning and therefore overwhelmed service staff. Drinks took longer than the food and the food was lower middle class. I hope that was a slip-up...

Zur Mittagszeit eine Wartezeit von gut 25 Minuten ist für ein Schnell Restaurant deutlich zu lange. Anscheinend wird das Personal nicht nur im Service Bereich, sondern auch in der Küche reduziert. Das neue Konzept bedarf einer Überarbeitung!

Went there for lunch. The pasta was homemade, super tasty 😋, it's definitely worth coming back, had tagliatelle with salmon. Ordering by cell phone at the table is a bit difficult depending on the reception, but the waitress is happy to help solve the problem. I found Cola expensive, drinks in general a bit expensive.

Unfortunately not what it used to be. Coke is offered for 4.20. Instead of fresh pizza, freshly baked pinsa is now served. Overall too expensive for what you get.

Unfortunately there were no gluten-free products on offer. The salad was bland, the dressing had hardly any taste and they tried to make up for it with eight kilos of cheese. The toilets were dirty, wet and smelly and there were no paper towels or soap. All in all very disappointing.
