Vapiano in Ingolstadt

Classic Vapiano ambiance, friendly staff, and plenty of seating. Expect long lines at the pasta stations during peak times. It's great that there are special parking spaces for the disabled.

Vapiano in Ingolstadt, located in Westpark, is always a solid place to go if you're craving freshly prepared Italian classics. The live cooking 🧑‍🍳🍝 is particularly noteworthy. It's great to watch the chef prepare the pasta or pizza and quickly adjust an ingredient or two – my spaghetti aglio e olio was perfectly matched to my spice level! The quality of the ingredients seems fresh, and the dishes generally taste delicious. There's also a surprisingly large selection for vegetarians and vegans 🌱 (the pinsa is always a highlight!). The atmosphere is modern and urban, but unfortunately doesn't always invite you to linger for long, especially when it gets busy. Here's where the downside comes in: the self-service concept is both a blessing and a curse. On the one hand, things are often quick, but on the other hand, during peak times (lunch or dinner), you have to expect waits at the counter, which quickly makes an otherwise stress-free shopping experience a bit hectic. Even finding a free table can be a bit of a challenge. Prices are in the upper mid-range—not super cheap, but the freshness usually justifies it.

When the store first opened, the quality of the products matched the price... but currently, the ratio isn't right. Either improve the quality/quantity... or lower the price.

Once and never again will we get bad, overpriced food - even the children left it alone.

I was there a while ago with a lady with long black hair and ordered a cup of coffee. There was a long black hair in the cup, which I had pointed out, and she quickly fished it out and gave me back the same cup (!!). I then asked her for a new one, which she did with a sigh. Unfortunately, the (already small) cup only contained half the amount. She didn't even apologize. Otherwise, I've always been back; the food has always been delicious.

We've eaten here a few times and actually thought it was pretty good. But unfortunately, not today. The arugula on the pinsa was completely wilted, the mushrooms were mush, and my partner had diarrhea the rest of the evening after the zoodels drowned in oil sauce. We won't be back. :(

I'm happy to give it 5 stars! Prices can slowly be adjusted to suit the customer's budget! Cheaper is better!

Unfortunately, the portions were smaller compared to Vapiano in Prague. The same menu items were smaller and, of course, more expensive. Lunch cost us just over €30. I made a mistake at the cash register and gave the woman at the exit €40 (I'm sure because I only had four €10 bills in my wallet before the trip). After we left the restaurant, my friend asked for the receipt because something seemed odd. She clearly heard that it was just over €30. The receipt also showed that amount. The woman at the cash register called the manager. There was a lot of chatter, but the manager refused to check the security cameras, saying he didn't have time. The manager offered to print a copy of the receipt and took my phone number. He promised to call me back the next day (today) after the cash register was closed (yesterday). More than half a day has passed, but we haven't received a call back. We're sure we gave €40, as we were planning to visit the Audi Museum afterward, which costs €10 for two people.

Service was abysmally bad, food was OK—not the best but definitely enjoyable. The ambiance was nice with plenty of seating both indoors and outdoors.

A restaurant I wouldn't recommend to anyone. You have to wait 5-10 minutes to order, and there's no staff available. I wanted a pizza, but the staff told me they didn't have any. I asked why. He told me they didn't have any, but they actually did... so he ended up getting half a pint and going home hungry. A truly disastrous restaurant.

The food at VAPIANO is very good, but relatively expensive. The selection is rather clear, but there are many extras that can be added at a high price. For example, they don't have a pizza or Pinsa Proschutto on the menu and they don't offer ham as an extra either. There is only self-service and NFC cards, where the amount is added to the various food/drink stations and paid at the checkout at the end. A maximum of EUR 65 can be added to a card, but you can easily get additional cards at the checkout. The tables, benches and stools are high like at a bar. There is even a small children's play area on the 1st floor. The VAPIANO Ingolstadt Westpark has a kind of “show kitchen”, but reminds me more of a canteen. I think it's too expensive for the price/performance ratio.

We come here regularly to eat locally and have never been disappointed. The staff is friendly and responds to special requests. There is always free seating; We've never had long waiting times either.

Unfortunately, Vapiano has massively reduced... ordered gluten-free Pinsa to take away yesterday and were bitterly disappointed. The Pinsa was carelessly in an aluminum bowl! slapped into the box. In terms of taste, it has little in common with pizzas from the supermarket, a total failure. We wanted to give it another chance and wanted to eat pasta today but guess what... gluten-free pasta is no longer in the range. Well then we spend our money somewhere else. Luckily there is a great alternative in Ingolstadt ;)

I've been to Vapiano a few times over the years. Unfortunately, the menu - especially for gluten-free customers - now leaves a lot to be desired. And the Pinsa is baked in aluminum trays and it recently happened that it was heartlessly stuffed into the take-away box along with the aluminum tray. In terms of taste, it's okay, not outstanding and it's clear that it's convenience food. Nothing else can be expected.

The food is good (good but not great in my opinion) but the drinks were bad. I am referring tk their own drinks which were a bit subpar. We asked about suggestions for what meat would go well with a certain pasta but the chefs seemed a bit indifferent on what would go best with something. Atleast this how I felt but then their overall service was good and staff was really friendly and helpful other than that.

The atmosphere in the restaurant is very pleasant and inviting. The dishes taste great every time - I can especially recommend the bruschetta with guacamole! Of course, prices have increased for some dishes in recent years, but portions remain generous. A portion of Pomodoro for €8.95 is completely enough to fill you up. The service is also friendly and attentive, which makes visiting the restaurant even more pleasant. I always enjoy coming here!

Food is ok, but not a revelation for the very high price level. Both pasta dishes were very oily. The ambience is ok, but so loud that you can hardly have a conversation. Except, if necessary, outdoors. The food is freshly prepared and the waiting time is accordingly - but especially when there is a lot going on, very long queues form and you have to wait a long time. Drinks selection typical, something for everyone. Staff friendly. Overall ok... ✌️

Had dinner at Vapiano yesterday. It started well when we ordered, the “chef” was very unfriendly, the dish was nothing special, but extremely overpriced.

I have to tell you what happened to me last Friday. As usual, I ordered a Caesar salad. I got the salad. While I was eating, I politely turned to the waiter and told him that the chicken was missing from my salad. The waiter went to the kitchen to announce it and came back saying that he had been told in the kitchen that there is no chicken in a Caesar salad, only lettuce. I didn't want to make a scene, but this was extremely bold and rude from the kitchen staff.

For me, one of the best noodles you can eat in a restaurant!

Salad was delicious, pizza didn't convince me.

I'm always happy when I find a Vapiano somewhere and can eat there. There was a tomato soup and a salad "Reef 'n Beef" - shrimp and beef. I was asked if I would like extra beef and shrimp. I would like to. Looking back, I wonder what my salad would have looked like without this extra request, because it didn't seem like an extra portion. Nevertheless, it was very tasty. My points of criticism: - Pepper is added to the meat when roasting. A no-go for me because pepper burns and then the meat no longer tastes good. - The small cubes of meat were on the grill for a hand-timed 8:03 minutes. Together with the pepper, this resulted in a very al dente crust. - The staff preferred to talk about private things and other colleagues while cooking and planned things for my order. That's a shame and unnecessary. Otherwise, Vapiano - even in Ingolstadt - is always a good idea and I just like it

Vapiano is always a good idea. It tastes very good, be it pizza, salad or pasta, but the endless waiting times are annoying! The point deduction concerns the waiting time. Staff is mostly friendly.

As it happens sometimes. Sometimes the service is faster, sometimes it’s slow, I won’t even say why! Maybe because you're in the mood to go to work?

Pizza Diavolo is, miraculously, an unparalleled masterpiece. Whether in Northern Germany or West or East, I have never had a better Diavolo. How Vapiano does it here? I have no idea - but I'm excited. The atmosphere is pleasant, the service is very attentive and friendly, the preparation time is quick and the noodles were also delicious.

Bisher hatte ich selten schlechte Erfahrung mit Vapiano - doch was heute passiert ist macht mich immernoch sprachlos… Ich hatte einen Vapiano Gutschein, wo man eine beliebige Pasta Portion für 4€ bekommt. Habe entspannt bestellt und gegessen- an sich alles top aber wie kann man so dermaßen unfreundlich sein, wie die Frau an der Kasse, die mich erst Mal frägt was das ist. Mein Gedankengang:“lies doch, da steht genau drauf was das ist“. Sagt, sie habe noch nie von Gutscheinen gehört und muss mal nachfragen. Jetzt das lustige: Gutscheine werden dort anscheinend nicht akzeptiert. Sagmal wie geizig kann man eigentlich sein?!? Mir wird gesagt, hier wird das nicht gewertet aber hauptsache auf der Rückseite steht, dass dieser Gutschein in allen ich betone ALLEN Filialen gültig ist! Ich war und bin bis jetzt noch sprachlos von dieser Frechheit und wenn ihr denkt es wäre sinnvoll sich mit mir anzulegen, dann gerne! Ihr alle seid nur Vapiano Mitarbeiter, also rate ich euch mal etwas freundlicher und entgegenkommender gegenüber Gästen zu sein, erst recht, wenn ihr keinen Plan habt wozu so manche fähig sind. Sollte ich meine 14,50€ nicht erstattet bekommen wird das Konsequenzen haben und das kann man mir glauben! Einen wunderschönen Abend. 😘

My wife ate pasta, which was okay. I wanted to eat a pizza at the same time. Firstly, I was completely ignored at the corresponding "counter", secondly, the waiting time would definitely have been so long that my wife would have either finished her pasta or it would have been cold. So I didn't eat here but somewhere else. There are enough options in this shopping center. It was definitely my first and last visit to this restaurant.

I somehow miss the pizza. I'd rather go somewhere else with this Pinsa stuff. I don't want rice flour or soy flour. Even if that's just Woke. The traditional Neapolitan pizza is traditionally made from only one type of flour: white wheat flour (Typo 0 or 00). The dough for the pinsa, on the other hand, is made from a mixture of wheat, rice and soy flour with a high water content and sourdough.

My son got very ill after eating there! The service is terrible, the employees are very unhappy and sad attending the public. No plans to come back there, unfortunately.

Seldom eaten so badly. Floating, fatty carbonara, super tasteless, almost inedible. The last few times weren't as exciting, but today everything was better. When I look at the standard answers from Vapiano: no, I won't give you another chance.

Very long queues because everyone has to watch their food being cooked and then assume that everyone already knows the process? But we were there for the first time! A small portion of meat (6 small cubes) costs over €5. Way too expensive for a basic rice dish. Never again…

There were two of us at Vapiano and we ordered a Caesar salad and a risotto AI Funghi. When we had to pay, we realized that we had to pay an extra €4.80 each for a few pieces of chicken breast in the Caesar salad and around €5 for just six very small pieces of beef fillet. This is stated in the menu with a very, very small star as a reference, which we didn't notice with the naked eye. And even if you had seen this reference, it doesn't say that you only get around 4 - 6 small pieces of chicken breast or beef fillet. It's crazy that you have to pay for extras like chicken in a Caesar salad, which is normally always included, and for such a small portion and so much money. In addition, a 0.25l water bottle cost around €3???? Who thought about prices like that? Especially when the portion of the Risotto Al Funghi was incredibly small and we had to pay around €18 for it. In addition, the dishes were not even described in detail. In addition, you had to wait an extremely long time and your feet were already hurting. I felt absolutely ripped off in this restaurant, which has never happened to me before.

Unfortunately, a total failure! “Pizza” for €13 looks like a frozen baguette with toppings from the supermarket. Way too overpriced. Salads shouldn't be advertised as vegan if there aren't even vegan dressings but they all contain milk. It's a real shame, Vapiano is no longer what it used to be! We're not coming anymore!

Food was very good. Since it is self-service and the food was freshly prepared in front of us, 4 stars for the service. The atmosphere was, well, in the middle of a shopping park, lots of annoying car posers.

The concept itself is great. The food is freshly prepared and you can choose from different components. We had pasta twice and a salad. The pasta dishes were ok, the salad was good. Fresh ingredients were used, but there was still room for improvement in terms of taste. I think the prices are a bit too high for what you have on your plate.

The pinsas were delicious and took quite a long time to prepare despite the shop being empty. Nice atmosphere inside, parking outside and McDrive… Prices have risen considerably, so you have to think about whether you want to eat without service like in the canteen. 2 people 45€

Spectacular kitchen, the food was prepared in front of me, but the chef didn't speak only German, nor was he friendly because of that. He didn't understand what I was asking for, even though the name Carbonara is quite international. There were no herbs at the tables like in other Vapianos

Unfortunately, the Vapiano has changed a lot. There is no classic pizza anymore. Did I take “Pinsa”? Unfortunately the food was relatively dry. Otherwise it is still dough with tomato sauce and toppings. Unfortunately service wasn't that good. Of course you have to get the food as soon as the thing vibrates. So far so good. When it vibrated, I wanted to get the Pinsa for myself and my mother. In the meantime, there was another man who had just ordered and wanted exactly the same Pinsa as me. The service person wanted to give it to the man. When he saw me he had barely changed his mind.

Way too expensive. Used to be very appropriate. Today just under €20 for a portion of pasta. Unfortunately it's no longer worth it to me.
