Gasthaus Stangl in Ingolstadt

We had our Christmas party at Gasthaus Stangl for the second time today. What can I say? Superb service, fantastic food, and lots of fun bowling. Thanks for a wonderful evening!

In short... hearty, family-friendly, and cozy. I can recommend it with a clear conscience ☺️👌🏻 The food was quick and delicious, and the service was friendly and attentive.

On the way home, I suddenly felt hungry. I called, made a reservation, and stopped by. What a great place! We had a delicious meal. Friendly people, and the locals come too. This inn doesn't really need a review; it's everything you'd expect in a village. Thanks for the great food.

Lunch Had roast pork and sour pork belly. Both were delicious! Friendly service. Unique atmosphere. We had a great spot, enjoyed the food, drinks, and seating.

The inn is typically Bavarian. Both in terms of the menu and the view when you order a non-alcoholic beer 😉 The menu is slightly reduced, compared to the one photographed here by a reviewer. But there's plenty to choose from. I had goulash with noodles. At first, I thought it wouldn't be enough, but I was quite full. The prices are still reasonable, but have gone up. The inn also has a bowling alley.

Authentic and down-to-earth. That's exactly what we were looking for for dinner while passing through, and we found it. Large portions and delicious, typical German regional cuisine without any frills. Good value for money.

On our way we slept in Auwald hotel Ingolstadt and walked to Gasthaus Stangl for dinner in the evening. We had a wonderful meal in a real German gemuttlich restaurant among the locals who were playing cards. We enjoyed the food and the atmosphere. And our dog was allowed to come along and got a deliciously cooked bone.

Nice inn with decent beer and good opening hours! Very pleasant, friendly staff! We didn't eat there, so we can't comment. The menu lists Bavarian cuisine, not particularly suitable for vegetarians.

Ambiente an sich einladend, bis auf die Plastikblumen und den Staub an den Gegenständen. Der Service war an diesem Tag bemüht. Aber mehr als eine Getränkerunde haben wir nicht bestellen können. Das Essen naja. Anscheinend gibt es eine abwechslungsreiche Karte außer heute. Allerdings weiß ich nicht ob man TK Produkte und Fertigpulver (Suppe und Soßen) als abwechslungsreich ansehen kann... Die Gerichte können genauso gut zu Hause gekocht werden. Nichts besonderes. Nie wieder.

Expectations not met. Service doesn't care.

I was very disappointed by the attitude of the staff and the host. We booked a bowling alley for 14 people. The inquiry and confirmation both stated 8:00 PM to midnight. We were only informed that the kitchen closes at 8:30 PM. There was no indication anywhere that we had to leave the alley by 10:00 PM. The last waitress came was at 9:30 PM, and there was no mention of that being the last round. We were originally supposed to eat in the bar, so we reserved a table there for 7:00 PM. When we arrived, we were told to go straight to the bowling alley and ate there. The last people to arrive received their food shortly before 8:00 AM. We were informed that the opening hours had been reduced since the coronavirus pandemic. It was our first visit, and we definitely won't be back for bowling. PS: Kudos to the kitchen: the food was good.

I ordered a cordon bleu with fries and thought I could swap it with the croquettes. Had to pay extra for fries without croquettes. Without me being pointed out that I had to pay more for a handful of fries and a bag of ketchup without croquettes. The taste of the cheese was obviously not evident and it was supposed to come out of the Coron Bleu. Ketchup should actually be included with fries for an additional charge. I was a little disappointed because there was no feedback when I complained.

I've never had such a delicious sauerbraten before, and the rest of the dishes looked super delicious. Service was super nice and friendly. Overall we were super satisfied!!!!!!!

We were in the beer garden and fortunately had a place in the shade. Despite the high heat (34 degrees), the service was very quick and friendly. We really enjoyed the large portions. Price/performance ratio: very good

Stopped in for dinner spontaneously last night. Everyone was very warm, friendly and attentive! That food tasted good. Ambience rustic, quaint. Unfortunately, my wine glass didn't look so clean at the top, I hope it was "just" because it wasn't dried and polished.

I feel very comfortable in this restaurant, the food is always delicious and we are always served by a nice lady So if you're hungry, definitely go to Gasthaus Stangl and I say I'll come back

We have been going to Stangl for years because the food tastes very good, the service is fast and friendly and we feel very comfortable there. Even my 12-year-old grandson raves about the Stangl. He also likes the rustic ambience and he especially loves the gypsy roast :)

I ate roast pork, no taste, tough as the sole of a shoe, cheap department store dumplings, watery ready-made sauce and for 12 euros I also ordered a salad that was mostly out of a can for 4.90 euros. People, I haven't eaten that bad in a long time. I asked the waitress about it and she told me Align the boss and it was sausage

This review was written under the impression that we usually eat vegetarian food. The fact that Bavarian taverns now have more to offer than salad, cheese spaetzle and fries, like here, is no longer uncommon. Alternatives were also presented on the homepage, but they were not offered on the daily menu during the visit (not even when asked). Well, you can handle it. But the Cevapcici (yes, who orders something like that in a Bavarian tavern? They were on the daily menu!) was a pure, loveless, warmed-up ready-made dish, with no connection whatsoever to the original (consistency, taste, shape) and is then very below average. Service and speed very good despite a family celebration taking place at the same time. Equipment and condition overall OK to good. Not very modern but not run down either. Prices good, around €90 for 5 people including 2x ice cream for dessert. Can't complain (although also due to the many vegetarian side dishes)

This year's hoagarten von Rothenturm took place here, it was another cozy evening with various folk music groups

Ich bin hier bereits seit Jahren immer wieder zum Essen. Ein klassisches bayrisches Wirtshaus mit gutbürgerlicher Küche und freundlichem Personal. Auf das Essen mussten wir nie lange warten, Wünsche werden bestmöglich erfüllt, die Gerichte, vor allem Kalbsbraten, sind allesamt einwandfrei. Große Portionen, niedrige Preise, in Ingolstadt Preis/Leistung unschlagbar! Einziger Minuspunkt ist, wie bereits von einigen erwähnt, das in die Jahre gekommene Ambiente.

Service und Freundlichkeit der MitarbeiterInnen absolute Katastrophe von der telefonischen Reservierung bis hin zum Zahlen war das Personal genervt, patzig und unfreundlich. Vielleicht haben wir einen schlechten Tag erwischt, aber man sollte sich nicht darauf ausruhen günstige Preise und Stammgäste zu haben.

We stopped there on the way back from our holidays. The restaurant was looking typical German, family business! The service was very fast and efficient. We paid around 25€ a person (one starter, one main and 2 drinks and one shared side salad) which was very good for the quality of food and plate size we got. You can count between 10 to 15 for a main, for fin are. Everything was obviously handmade and super tasty. I recommend this place 100% if you crave true German food 👌👌👌

Lekker buiten gezeten. Gezellig druk. Schnitzel met patat en een schnitzel in champignonsaus en pasta. Beide waren heerlijk, zo ook de standaard salade. Bediening niets mis mee

Wir hatten eine Firmfeier im Stangl (30 Personen). Der Tisch war sehr schön gedeckt. Das Essen war schnell fertig und es hat sehr gut geschmeckt. Der Service war freundlich. Es war eine sehr schöne Feier!

Essen sehr gut, wobei die Portionen fast zu reichhaltig sind. Der Service menschlicher und nett Der Kaffee für mich eindeutig zu stark, aber manche mögen den ja so. Kaffeespezialitäten allerdings Fehlanzeige

Zum Mittagessen da gewesen. Kässpatzen ganz okay, für mich hätte es mehr Käse sein können. Bisschen schlonziger wäre gut und die Röstzwiebeln bitte selbermachen 8-). Aber der Sauerbraten hat mich überzeugt. Fleisch zart und liess sich nur mit der Gabel zerteilen. Knödel und Sosse sehr gut genau meins. Wer gutbürgerliche Gerichte und Fleisch liebt, ist hier richtig. 3,5 Sterne. Abzug wegen dem doch sehr in die Jahre gekommenen Ambiente.

Gut Bürgerliche Küche, zu guten Preisen. Personal ist freundlich wir kommen bestimmt wieder.

schade, schade schade ... ist Ingolstadt nach Schwaben umgezogen ??? leider gibt's fast alles nur noch mit Spätzle (und das in Oberbayern, eigentlich kaum zu fassen) ... wo ist nur die altbairische Gemütlichkeit geblieben ??? früher war das Essen perfekt, aber etz nach Durchsicht der Speisekarte sind wir wieder gegangen ... 😓😓😓 ... einfach nicht zu fassen in Bayern ...

Eine der besten gutbürgerlichen Wirtschaften in ganz Ingolstadt. Sehr gutes Essen und der Service ist super gut.

Bei einem Fahrradausflug sind wir auf das Gasthaus Stangl gestoßen. Hier einzukehren war keine schlechte Wahl. Der Biergarten ist einfach gestaltet, halt wie ein normalter Biergarten so ist. Die Bediehnung war super flott und war sehr freundlich. Ruckzuck kam die Karte für den Mittagstisch und das vorab bestellte Bier. Die Karte reichte von verschiedenen Schnitzeln bis zur guten Bayrischen Brotzeit. Das essen kam zügig und wurde heiß serviert. Die Portionen sind üppig bemessen und es schmeckte ausgezeichnet. Am Salat kein Fertigdressing und auch sonst schmeckte alles selbst gemacht. Mein Fazit (nur Biergarten): Gute bürgerliche Küche zum günstigen Preis mit netter Bedienung.

Sehr leckere bodenständige Gerichte zum günstigen Preis! Speisekarte ist abwechslungsreich, es ist für jeden Geschmack etwas dabei. Die Bedienung ist sehr aufmerksam, freundlich und flott unterwegs. Wir gehen immer wieder gerne dort hin.

Für Sonntag eine reichhaltige Speisenkarte Keine Wartezeit zur Bestellung Bedienung sehr flott und freundlich trotz vielen Gästen. Essen war sehr gut - wir hatten 4erlei Essen bestellt. Jeden hat es geschmeckt. Preis Leistungsverhältnis sehr gut. Man kann die Wirtschaft bestens weiter empfehlen. Respekt an die Küche und Personal.

Am Sonntag um zehn vor Acht Uhr Abends wurde uns mitgeteilt, dass die Küche um 20.00 Uhr schließt. Was zum trinken können wir haben, mehr jedoch nicht. Als Stammkunde (über 10 Jahre) sage ich Danke und garantiert nie mehr.
