I've been a regular at Vabene in Dortmund for a while now, and for good reason! Today I had pizza again, and as always, it was absolutely delicious. Fresh, crispy, and tasted amazing. And the pasta? You have to try it! The quality is top-notch every time. The team is incredibly friendly, the owner is super nice and accommodating, and you always feel welcome. Highly recommended! Always happy to go back!

I ate gnochi with prawns, zuchini and herb cream. It tasted good, but after I ate it I had a stomach ache. Then came nausea. The next day it continued and I puked. Storing food well is important. Even if it's a type of fish. My friends had pasta with spinach and it smelled unusually disgusting. They haven't eaten either. I will never trust them again and wouldn't recommend them.

The food was not good at all, we ordered pizza and pasta the waiter seemed really stressed even though we were the only ones there . The pizza was very salty and didnt taste like pizza at all and the pasta had no taste of anything, so i do not recommend this place to anyone if you want italian tasting food.

Went there today by chance and ate the tastiest pizza we've had in a long time. We'll definitely be back. But a good wipe down of the tables every now and then would be great, they stuck everywhere.

The place is good. In the city center. The establishments are cozy. The food is very 😋 delicious.

We have been here twice now to eat pizza with children away from the hustle and bustle of the city center. Each time the little ones were treated extremely nicely and courteously. Everyone also enjoyed the food. If we are in Dortmund again, we will definitely come back!

Well, where should I begin? We received a reasonably friendly welcome, but even as we were ordering, we had a strange feeling. It was loud and hectic around us (which is perfectly fine for a Saturday), and some guests complained about waiting times, while others left. Our starters were completely forgotten; my pizza was OK; my husband's lasagna was cold inside, and when he sent it back, it came back after ages, hot but burnt. My son's pizza rolls were also forgotten, and my daughter's gnocchi were also only lukewarm. The server explained to us that there had recently been a change of ownership, and that's why they weren't yet very well-coordinated. That may be true, but we still wouldn't recommend the restaurant (which is more like a fast-food joint).

The service was completely overwhelmed. We had to wait almost 2 hours for our food. No recommendation!

Pizza somewhat ok. Lasagna was warmed up, oversalted and cold inside. The food arrived at a delayed time; Two things we ordered didn't come at all. I've actually never experienced anything like that. Really disappointing.

I don't know if the owners have changed. Otherwise the food there was 1A, homemade pizza rolls. Today I ordered pasta special with spaghetti and vegetarian pasta with tagliatelle and extra pizza rolls to pick up. On the one hand they were homemade, on the other hand the others were simply baked ones from Rewe. Then the big hit: €28. Both noodles cost €17 rounded up via Lieferando. But I thought, because I only checked afterwards, that the prices had gone up. Which I find absolutely crazy. The noodles weren't even overbaked. And then I gave the waiter/cashier €30, he didn't even make any move to give me my two euros back money. I didn't feel like arguing. It was the last time I got anything there. The contributions were also entered in a calculator, not in the cash register. So I didn't get a receipt either. The person who prepared the items was very nice and friendly.

Haben 2 Margaritas bestellt, über eine Stunde gewartet. Die ersten sind verbrannt und wurde weggeschmissen die zweiten waren kalt und ungenießbar. Definitiv nicht Empfehlenswert!

I had dinner there with my girlfriend. We always really enjoy eating there. But this time it was a disaster. Pizza rolls should be... Food will be served. Didn't come. When asked, the rolls were sold out. There were no imitations either. Well the staff isn't the best either. I wanted my food packed. Nobody came. I had to have it done at the checkout. That was the last time I ate there. V Hmm yes no

Unfortunately I have to give one star. This thing doesn't work at all. We were there last week. They didn't even have beer on offer. We were almost the only customers and waited forever for our food. When asked, there was no correct answer. This pizzeria doesn't work at all.

Food itself was very tasty and fast service, Unfortunately, the extra ingredient was forgotten on the pizza and the wrong pasta dish was served, the pizza rolls for the pasta dish were placed right before the starter, fresh would have been more appropriate for the pasta dish, but so far everything tasted good, prices are okay, strange that under one Large pizza is understood to be a family pizza, you have to order a medium one, it was cozy and not overcrowded on site

Went there for the first time today but there's no need for a second time. The lasagne, pizza and pizza rolls tasted ok but nothing special. The lasagne was also cold inside. Prices are relatively high here and somehow don't match what you get for it. Normally I only wanted to give it 2 stars, but I gave it 3 stars because there are still plastic straws here, not the cardboard things like elsewhere.

The food was good. However, the service and the ambience were very poor. There was nothing going on and yet we asked three times about the food and drinks we had ordered and then something was forgotten. In the counter area, unnecessary noise was caused in a completely inconsiderate manner by sorting dishes, cutlery and other things and then people talked very loudly with friends or acquaintances who stopped by for a moment, as if there were no guests there. When we wanted to pay, no one knew what we had ordered. So basically we listed our order for the fourth time. Sorry, but that's not how good service works.

Too long waiting times and unfriendly service. Pizzas were prepared incorrectly and then swapped with bare hands behind the counter. Absolutely disgusting. A noise level like in the subway. Not to mention storing the food. What surprises me most is that there aren't any bugs there yet

Four of us were in the restaurant in the afternoon on Wednesday, November 13th, 2024. Unfortunately the service did not meet our expectations. The employee who served us seemed unfriendly and there was an unpleasant smell. We were also served a large amount of pizza rolls for just 4 people, and we had to order the herb butter separately. Unfortunately, the pizza we ordered was overcooked on the edges, almost burnt. On the positive side, however, the pasta was well prepared. Unfortunately, a salad we ordered wasn't served either. Overall, we didn't think the price was appropriate for what was offered: for 4 drinks, 1 salad (which didn't come), a pizza and 4 pasta dishes, we paid €88, which we found to be too high. We usually evaluate objectively, but in this case the experience was unfortunately not satisfactory.

Pizza & pasta are very, very tasty. The service is also very nice and friendly. We'll definitely be back 💪🐞🍀👍

Unfortunately not as expected, service from my point of view was subpar, first waiter fell into my arms and almost knocked over the table because he fell over an obstacle on the floor that he should have known about, second waiter forgot that I had something else I ordered and only remembered it when I paid. Food: Portion Quantity well, it was just fine, had pasta with Primavera sauce and beef, sauce little to no seasoning, so very neutral in taste and beef just hard and far from offering anything in terms of taste. The only highlight were the pizza rolls and the fact that the quantity was just ok and I was fairly full. Price just ok for the “performance” I definitely won't be showing up there again

I've never seen such nice and kind-hearted people. They make their food with so much heart. I was there with my group when the shop was closing and they still made us something to eat and were very nice. We have never had such a delicious pizza as we did there and can only recommend it. In Germany, a store like this with this kind of service is rarely really great.

Good pizzeria in the city center. The place is spacious, clean and cozy. The treatment by the waiters was magnificent. It has a wide variety of pizzas and Italian food. We ordered pizzas and they were delicious, the dough was very good and crispy. The prices are very appropriate. I recommend everyone who wants to eat pizzas to come here.

Yesterday the six of us were at the restaurant, ordered and paid for our pizzas. We were told it would take about 40 minutes, which was really ok as everything was overcrowded due to the European Championship game in the evening. When we noticed that people who came after us and ordered were leaving with their food, we asked what that was about and what the problem was that we haven't received anything yet. The answer we received was simply: “We are sorry, we are now moving your order forward so that you can receive it in a few minutes.” In this case, we were annoyed, but we thought that mistakes can happen. After another 45/50 minutes we asked ourselves where our food was. Then a gentleman from the waitress came to us and asked again: “Hey guys, what did you order, then I’ll place your order now & then we’ll make your pizzas.” Note: At that point it had already been over 80 minutes since arrival. We then said what that was all about and we wanted our money back. This was then done, but as I said, we waited there for over 1 hour and 45 minutes in total for nothing.

Today the food was extremely tasty, the service was very nice and very polite, you should definitely order the Pasta Pollo and the pizza also tastes very tasty, the price is very good for the quality and everything was great!!👍

The new owner of the restaurant seems quite overwhelmed. He saves on labor, the quality and the name suffers as a result. When he asked about satisfaction with the food, some customers complained about the salty taste. For me, the pasta was overcooked and the sauce was too runny. The owner didn't apologize, but blamed the restaurant's high occupancy. Despite three requests, he didn't manage to clean our table of dishes and leftover food. After 20 minutes he just said that he had everything in view. The wait for drinks was unnecessarily long, and it seemed like guests who arrived after us got their food sooner. The entire situation seemed overwhelmed and unstructured compared to the performance of the previous owner. [Unfortunately, a recommendation is not possible.]

Our favorite restaurant in Dortmund. Whenever we are back in town, a visit to Vabene is a must! We love your lasagna and in general all the pizzas and pasta dishes have been bombastic. We always go home full and satisfied. 😁 Keep it up! 👌

Durch den Führungswechsel ist die Qualität sowohl beim Essen, als auch beim Service abgefallen. Hier muß schnellstens nachgebessert werden, wenn man nicht will, daß die ehemaligen Stammkunden ausbleiben.

Die Pizza ist 1st.class,einfach nur lekker

Der Laden war am Weihnachtsmarkt-Samstag knallevoll. Und trotzdem wurde fix und zuvorkommend unsere Bestellung aufgenommen. Man warnte uns vor, dass es länger dauern könnte, aber wir haben lediglich 20 Minuten warten müssen. Das Essen war auch sehr gut.

Der Kellner kam einfach vier Mal mit der falschen Bestellung zu uns obwohl der Laden halb leer war und ich bin mir sehr sicher dass er bei der eigentlichen Bestellung auch nur geraten hat. Die Zubereitung hat dafür dass wir beinahe alleine waren schon lange gedauert aber vielleicht hätten wir sie bei kompetenten Kellnern vorher bekommen. Beim bezahlen hätte man den auch sonst was erzählen können und sie hätten es einfach abgerechnet die wussten nicht mal was wir bestellt hatten (wie gesagt wir waren 4/7 Leuten im Laden also schon übersichtlich...😂Das Ambiente war halt Standard Dortmund und wird nur von den Apartments in der selben Straße deutlich übertroffen (negativ betrachtet) aber zumindest das Essen war ganz gut da war der "Koch" wohl die einzige kompetente Person im Schuppen. Nächstes Mal bitte nicht die erstbesten Bres auf der Straße aufsuchen und in die Küche stellen wenn ihr nicht Pleite gehe wollt. Wie dem auch sei Viva La Dortmund wir sehen uns das nächste Mal in alter frische und mit besseren Praktikanten(what ever).

Italienisches Restaurant ohne Wein Und das neben dem Konzerthaus

Lachslasagne ist ein Traum dort. Aber auch die Schnitzel sind sehr gut. Pastagerichte allesamt super lecker. Personal bis jetzt immer sehr freundlich. Schon seit Jahren gehe ich dort Essen, die Qualität der Speisen ist immer gleich gut geblieben. 19.11.23: Keine Ahnung was dort passiert ist? Personal desinteressiert, Essen schmeckt nicht mehr. Und der Laden schaut irgendwie schmuddelig aus. Scheinen neue Besitzer zu sein?

Alles bestens, Pizza war sehr lecker, der Chef ist sehr nett und freundlich. Wir kommen immer wieder gerne :)

Ich muss ehrlich sagen 36 Euro taten mir noch nie so weh! Ich war wirklich enttäuscht . Wir hatten wie immer als Vorspeise Bruschetta Caprese die dort immer sehr lecker war mit frischer Mozzarella. Gestern wurde uns die Bruschetta dann mit geriebenen Tüten Mozzarella serviert , das war die erste Enttäuschung. Die Pizza war dann die nächste , denn jede Tiefkühlpizza konnte bei dieser gut mithalten . Was mich aber am meisten gestört hat und mir das Essen so richtig verdorben hat waren die ganzen Fruchtfliegen die an unserem Tisch geflogen sind. Nach einem Stück Pizza habe ich dann aufgehört zu essen , was sich als richtig herausgestellt hat denn mein Mann hat die ganze Nacht sehr starke Magenkrämpfe und hat sich immer wieder übergeben. Sehr schade wie sind zwar nicht immer dort hin aber wenn es schnell gehen sollte immer gerne mal wieder. Gestern war definitiv unser letzter Besuch im Va Bene.

Nettes Restaurant zum Mittagessen, es gibt ein Menü mit Pizza oder mit Nudelgericht für unter 10 €. Die Nudeln sind lecker, aber nichts ausgefallenes. Der Service ist super nett und man bekommt vorweg immer noch Pizzabrötchen mit Kräuterbutter.

Ich finde es dort wirklich wunderbar!!! Ich war gestern dort das erste Mal essen. Wir wurden super lieb empfangen, nach dem Erhalt der Speisekarte wurden uns die Getränke gebracht und ebenfalls für die Zwischenzeit bis zum Essen Pizzabrötchen gebracht. Eine schöne Geste. Die Zubereitung des Essens brauchte ein bisschen, aber das ist durch das frisch Zubereiten absolut verständlich und mehr als gerechtfertigt! Die Qualität war unschlagbar. Unfassbar lecker! Ich habe ein extra Topping bestellt, mit Muscheln. Es wurde nicht an Muscheln gegeizt. Die Hygiene ist dort super, Toilette, Waschbecken, etc. alles im sauberen Zustand! Als ich gehört habe, wie wenig wir bezahlen, war ich sprachlos. Für so eine Qualität hätte ich mit weitaus mehr Geld gerechnet! Preis-Leistung ist daher die beste, die ich je zuvor wahrgenommen habe! Haben nach etwas zu essen gesucht und gefunden. Sehr sehr lecker die Pizza, die Pasta erst 😍 Träumchen. Für den Preis bekommt man eine ordentliche Portion. Einfach nur top 👍🏻

Super Pizza 🍕 super Service. Da stimmt alles. Leider ist die Anreise von Frankfurt zu weit.

Habe Bandnudeln mit hausgemachte Tomate sahnesauce Spinat Brokkoli bestellt, es hat geschmeckt. Die Pizzabrötchen waren sehr besonders lecker, nur ein Stern Abzug für den Kräuterbutter das war nicht so gut. Die Bedienung war nett. Essen kam auch sehr schnell.

Essen war lecker. Die Bedienung wirkte leider etwas unkonzentriert und musste bei mehreren Gästen mehrmals nachfragen über Details der Bestellung.

Wir waren auf der Durchreise, hatten Hunger und bekamen sehr leckeres italienisches Essen 🇮🇹 Preis-Leistung suuuper 👍 Der Service war sehr freundlich, wenngleich ein wenig überfordert. Auf dem sehr leckeren Salat war leider zu viel (Joghurt-)Dressing, daher 4 von 5 *

Dauert alles viel zu lange, bis überhaupt jemand kommt oder man seine Getränke bekommt. Das Essen war nichts Besonderes.

Viel Wahlmöglichkeiten bei den Gerichten, humane Preise und sehr schmackhaft.

Das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis ist sehr gut! Die Pizzen sind gut belegt, allerdings nicht überladen. Der Teig ist sehr schmackhaft! Wir kommen sehr gerne!

Das Essen war sehr lecker und preislich OK.

Nette Konkurrenz zu Italy .. oä in der City. Nudeln sind lecker ob überbacken oder zum Gericht als beilage Aber der Salat ist top!! Brötchen kräuterbutter inkl! Kann man des öfteren besuchen Danke
