We announced that we would be coming to the restaurant 2 hours before going to the restaurant on a Saturday evening, when it was crowded, but we were told 'you can come, sister, no problem'. Our meals arrived approximately 45-50 minutes after we ordered our meals, and by this point not even dry bread was brought to our table. What kind of a fireplace man is this, why don't they bring any appetizers? As if that wasn't enough, a long hair grew in my food. They apologized and our drinks were provided by the venue. There was a lot of salt in the meat dishes, it leaves a strong taste in the mouth even hours after eating. I guess their aim was to make more customers and more money with fewer people.

Unfortunately my Dürüm was a disappointment. You could hardly taste the minced meat because there was just far too little in it. I definitely expected more for the price.

I have been a guest here for many years and can only recommend it. The food here is cooked/grilled to perfection. My favorites are the kebab, pide, ayran and lahmacun. The meat from the kebab is very well seasoned and juicy. If you order spicy you also get hot leaf peppers (Pulbiber). Many kebab shops also offer leaf peppers (Pulbiber) but they are not spicy. Price-performance ratio is very good. The service is also very good. The employees are very friendly and nice. You can also get the food quickly, be it on site to eat in or to take away.

Unfortunately the meat wasn't cooked properly

They increased their prices twice within 2 weeks after they had already increased them twice before. 9.50 for a Dürüm with three pieces of meat on it and it was completely cold. Willless.

Very bad staff who disturb us when eating, we didn't get any bread, there were two of us, we gave our order and when food was served it was a completely different order, I didn't feel comfortable eating

Adana Kebap to go: absolutely great! From the charcoal grill! With bulgur, salad, rice & sauce. Really really good. 17.-€. Pizza salami is also delicious. The Urfa Grillhouse can be highly recommended!

The best kebab restaurant in Frankfurt

I discovered the Urfa Man Gala Grillhouse (formerly Urfa Grill) in 2008. It was shown to me at the time by my girlfriend, now my wife. We have been regular customers ever since. I can confidently say that I am well versed in Turkish cuisine, especially kebabs. That's why I can say that the Urfa Man Gala Grillhouse is the best kebab shop in Frankfurt for me. The only drawback I personally see is that the atmosphere suffers when the store is busy (e.g. a birthday party or something similar). Unfortunately, in such cases it becomes very loud, which affects the otherwise pleasant atmosphere.

Good shop, I find €9 for a kebab a bit harsh, but it's worth it

The hallal meat was super juicy, I've rarely eaten something like that with my girlfriend. Your service is fast and friendly, what customers pay attention to is that the toilets are good, maybe you'll check it out from time to time. GLG 👋🏻 Daniela.B.🪻

It's really run down, let alone the expensive kebab. Today, for example, I found a fingernail in my kebab and if you paid so much for it, it's a disgrace, the service also has long waiting times and it just doesn't taste the same anymore. Plus, to be precise, I don't have any carrots in it my kebab which was still in there. I wouldn't go there again :(

We had Adana, it just tasted great! Price performance is also right! Therefore we would definitely go there again. One star deduction because you didn't have a children's menu :-(

The food at Urfa is really delicious, but the service (the restaurant certainly knows who they are talking about) is really very unfriendly and seems annoyed. That really ruins your meal and he was like that with our neighbors too, so hopefully it shouldn't be our fault since we didn't start any trouble with him (generally never). He really used to be in a better mood. All meat dishes, especially Adana, are highly recommended.

The Urfa Man Gala Grillhouse is simply amazing! The meat is perfectly seasoned, juicy and cooked directly on the charcoal grill. It doesn't get any better. The atmosphere is super relaxed, the team is super friendly, and the freshly baked bread is amazing. If you like authentic Turkish food, you'll get your money's worth here. Absolute recommendation. I'll definitely be back!

I always only order from Urfa Man because it always tasted good. But recently the quality of meat has deteriorated significantly. We ordered Adana plates, there was cartilage in every bite!! For 17€ a treat!!!

Very tasty grill house, the meat was amazing, and the interaction between the before and after meals as well as the side dishes harmonized very well. I also liked the atmosphere and the location of the grill house because it's easy to get there and there are enough parking spaces. I'll always come back, highly recommended...

Went to Urfa again today after years. The offering is ok, the food was also ok, but a bit spicy. We ordered tzatziki and also a salad. Neither came, not even when asked. But the highlight was that I had to pay for the tzatziki even though we didn't receive it. When I asked, I was actually told that the garlic sauce that we had with our meal was supposed to have been tzatziki... so an absolute no go and not recommended.

Mega delicious Turkish grilled dishes, always freshly prepared & decent portions. Very warm welcome and attentive service... seating on 2 floors, so you can usually get a seat straight away...

I don't even go in when there's a huge sign outside saying "EC payment from €15"... Guys, the 90s are over! In Turkey they don't make such a fuss.

I give kebab an eight out of ten. Too little meat in the kebab. High prices.

I ordered the Adana Kebab grill plate to take away and overall I was very satisfied. The food was really tasty and the portion was big enough to fill you up. I think it's particularly good that card payments are also offered here - this makes the payment process pleasantly uncomplicated. Unfortunately I had to wait a total of 17 minutes for my order, which I found to be relatively long. What was particularly annoying was that many customers after me received their orders much more quickly. This was a bit uncomfortable as I felt like I had been overlooked. Still, the food ultimately made up for the wait. I hope the wait times improve on future visits.

Worst case I wanted to order a classic Dürüm at the counter but was directed to the waiter. I didn't think any further, sat down and ordered a Dürüm from the waiter. At the end he brought me a Dürüm without meat and with a separate salad. When I pointed out that I had ordered a Dürüm with meat, he smiled and said he was sorry but there was nothing more he could do. In another moment, I watched other guests, who obviously didn't look European, being served at the counter and being made normal dürüm. It was clearly communicated here that I was not welcome. The whole thing was covered up with a smile and acted as if this service was completely normal. #Racism

Unfortunately, the kebab has become more expensive, which I can understand if the quality is correspondingly high. However, this has diminished LOTS. The bread was a disaster. I used to really enjoy being there, but now it's more ugh than yuck 🤷🏼‍♂️and everyone there seems to be your brother

I have been a regular customer for 12 years and the quality was and still is very good! You can see what's going on in the store and how many guests eat there every day... Keep it up!

A new employee forgot to bring us our Coke today. When we asked for a bill after lunch we said we didn't get our coke but that was okay because we were leaving. At that moment she said she would bring us our coke even though we didn't want it. We didn't want to drink it at dinner, now that we're about to leave, because she forgot. But she was so self-centered and didn't even want to hear about it, so we ended up sitting there for 10 minutes longer after she brought us coke (which we didn't want) but we thought it was free because it was her fault, that she had forgotten and we didn't want to be rude. After we drank our coke and asked again for a receipt, she brought us a receipt with a coke (€6) included! Honestly this was the worst experience with a waiter who didn't even care to listen to the guests.

Unfortunately, the quality of the dishes has dropped abruptly and the prices have gone up. The bread is rock hard and no longer fresh. The Adana Kebap contains small hard pieces of cartilage and the sauce portion and salad portion as a side dish have become significantly smaller. In addition, the drinks no longer come cold, but lukewarm. We waited almost 45 minutes for the food after ordering from the waiter. That's a shame, I always enjoyed eating there. Then I'll probably have to switch to another kebab shop.

Very good, beautiful and delicious

I am very satisfied and would love to go there again and again. Stone wood oven is a must for me anyway if I want to eat lahmacun or pide. I now drive to Frankfurt Höchst specifically to eat here. The staff is also very friendly.

Update on September 17, 2024: After a long time the restaurant was given another chance. What can I say… The service was very nice and accommodating and the food was very good. Urfa now deserves 5 stars for this. But why only 4 stars? The waiting time for the food was almost an hour, despite normal occupancy. It would be helpful to make the waiting time pleasant for the guest, for example by providing flatbread, instead of making them wait in front of an empty table. We'll be back and if there's flatbread, for example, to bridge the waiting time, it will be 5 stars. Update on March 10, 2023: I received an email from Google today informing me that Urfa is complaining that it feels its rights have been violated by my review. However, since the above review corresponds to my experience and this can even be confirmed by my companions, I would like to reiterate this review here before Urfa has it removed by Google instead of convincing the customer with a positive experience in his restaurant. In order to give Urfa a chance to not only be rated positively by deleting negative reviews, but to actually have earned its positive rating, I will visit the restaurant again and then adjust the rating based on my new experiences. Unfortunately, things here are no longer what they used to be. From the waiting time to be served (and no, it wasn't busy) to the price/performance ratio. As an example, the picture of a kebab plate is attached. This is not a children's plate, but rather a portion for an adult on a small dessert plate.

We really enjoy eating there often. We also love the loving and hospitable atmosphere that the employee Amira creates there every time. Will come often in the future. Thanks for that.

Turkish food, very nice people, fast and tastes very tasty.

The food is just so “okay”, you can eat it if you’re hungry, but nothing more. It's not crazy, so nothing special at all. The kebab is like a middle-class kebab, which I think is a shame, people give good reviews here, but real talk.. Compared to Darmstadt Effendi's kebab, this one is nothing... :/... so yes. If you want some good food, don't go to the kebabs at the train station in Frankfurt-Höchst 👍

I went with my guests last week, the service is a disgrace, the taste is completely gone, the prices are high, the refreshments are gone, I cannot recommend it to anyone, I am very sorry, I will never pass by it again.

I ordered an Adana kebab and it was bone and you only had cartilage in your mouth. There was hardly any salad and very little rice in the plate. Super delicious food. Large portions. The meat is grilled over an open fire and has a super delicious smoky aroma.

We ordered Adana Kebab and the meat was mostly cartilage and bones. It was also partly raw. The piece of bread served on the plate was not fresh and the service was quite unfriendly. Only the rice was well done. I would advise you not to eat here.

We took this long route just to eat there. When I entered the restaurant I was greeted by a warm welcome and a pleasant atmosphere. The friendly and attentive staff made me immediately feel comfortable and in safe hands. The restaurant's menu offers a diverse selection of delicious Turkish dishes. The food was very tasty, the service was very good! The waitress in the headscarf was very helpful and caring. My friend was surprised by such good service. Thank you for a nice evening. I absolutely cannot recommend this store. The staff in the kitchen are extremely rude and keep you waiting forever because they are constantly engrossed in private conversations. My food was sitting on the counter for a long time, but I didn't get it even though I was standing right in front of it. Finally, my food was simply reheated – including salad and sauce! The result was inedible and had to be thrown away. They seriously reheated it because it got cold on the counter! This is truly unbelievable and completely unacceptable.

I recommend it for its caring, tolerant, friendly staff and delicious food.

Simply bad. Bad food, expensive prices, bad staff and hygiene is in short supply.

Unfortunately, this place gets worse every time I go. I went 4-5 times in a year and waited for the first two courses in all of them, but unfortunately some of the dishes were either bland or very burnt. I hope they will show the same care to every customer in every order in the future.

I was charged €90.50 instead of €9.50 for the meal. I was wondering why the amount wasn't shown on the EC device. Unfortunately I didn't notice it until the next day. So be careful when paying.

The soup was only brought with our food after 40 minutes (!) after repeated requests. When we told the waiter that he should cancel the soup since we had now had our main course, he just said that we should just eat it now. We spent a total of 1.5 hours because our food came so late. The waiter (an older man with glasses) was very unfriendly. We won't eat here again! We were also charged €7 for “various dishes”, so be careful when you get the bill!

Visited this place recently and had an okay experience. It didn’t take long for me to sit and get my food even though it was close to peak hours. Maybe it helped that it was Sunday. The service was good but the food not as much, I felt almost tasteless. Given other reviews here, I’m rather disappointed on the disappointed team.

I ordered a kebab plate for 13 euros, but what I received was far below my expectations. The packaging contained very, very little meat, salad and rice. I practically saw more packaging than food. The meat wasn't even veal. For the price I would have expected much more, both in quantity and quality. It's a shame that I was so disappointed for 13 euros. I definitely won't buy anything here again and unfortunately I can't recommend the restaurant.

There's nothing wrong with the ambience and service, but unfortunately I don't think the kebab plates are as great as they once were. There was no salad on the plate and the great red paste is no longer available. The meat was also very dry. Unfortunately disappointed this time.

We ate shish liver and ali gentle It was like fast food, not like an Urfa restaurant. Salad appetizer no mashing There is no lavash. I ate the liver with cold pita Ali's yoghurt was sour because it was heated in the microwave.

Urfa Man Gala - Disappointing experience Unfortunately, my visit to Urfa Man Gala was a huge disappointment. I was looking forward to a delicious kebab, but the experience left a lot to be desired. First of all the service was very unfriendly and disinterested. The staff seemed uninterested in caring for the guests and seemed irritated when I asked a question about the different sauces. The kebab itself was also a disappointment. The meat was dry and barely seasoned, and the bread was soggy. The side dishes didn't look or taste fresh. Overall, the kebab lacked the flavor and freshness that you would expect from a good kebab. Additionally, the store itself wasn't particularly clean. The tables were sticky and the floor was dirty, which further worsened the overall experience. I was hoping to find a new favorite kebab shop, but unfortunately I won't be recommending Urfa Man Gala and certainly won't be returning.

We went out for a family dinner, we ordered 4 types of plates, 3 of them arrived wrong, 1 of them did not arrive at all and we waited a long time until the dishes arrived.

I was there on Wednesday evening, everything tasted good, the waitress also spoke Persian, when I wanted to pay she asked for a reward for the waiter (tip). I gave her something, normally you don't ask a guest something like that. Hence corresponding stars 🌟

My favorite restaurant for Turkish specialties! We ate here practically every week for years with half the company. The second floor was always spontaneously opened for us ;) My company has moved, but the restaurant is still a popular meeting place with colleagues :) The Adana Kebap was the favorite of most colleagues, mine is the Dönerli Pide (Pide with doner meat). Best with extra garlic sauce! The service was always very friendly and the food is unbeatable!

Very authentic and nice restaurant. The food is very tasty and super fresh. We had the mixed pide, tavuk sis and minced meat skewers with rice and tomatoes. Very aloof shop and boss. A burnt skewer came to our table. The waiter and the boss then started negotiating with us that we should only pay 20% for the skewer. You can't make a refund - ridiculous bunch. Burn the food and want some more of the money. We won't come anymore.

It's a pretty average place, but the service is extremely bad. Especially the Iranian waitress, completely overwhelmed, disrespectful, without decency and not attentive. The bill also asked which pide we paid for (even though we only ordered one pide). It's an absolute disgrace if you leave over 100 euros here! As a boss, I would think of something! Plus there was no STILL WATER?! A disrespect.

My experience on May 12, 2024 shortly after 4 p.m. (order for 12 people) I try not to go into details. I placed a large order (doner, pide and lahmacun approx. For 12 people). Unfortunately in the “Takeaway” area it is a disaster. I had never received a proper order before, I had a surprise at home, something was always missing. I just hope the owner takes the time to watch the surveillance camera video from May 12, 2024. 1- Rushing to take the order. I tell him 6x and get 7x. Unfortunately, the customer is not really listened to at the counter. 2- I was very annoyed that the employee blatantly lied to my face when I spoke to him that half of my orders were incorrect or something was missing and he claimed that everything was fine. Luckily I checked the order on site. (As I said, I don't want to go into details). In the end his colleague came and sorted out the incorrect orders. I think the restaurant is really TOP and the food is great. I will continue to eat but no more takeaway and I recommend it. PS: I will definitely change my customer review at some point, at the moment I'm really annoyed by the employee's behavior. 1 employee ruins everything.
