An employee spilled wax from a candle used to warm the tea onto my husband's suede jacket. The owner initially said it wasn't his fault, but the employee's, and that we should deal with her. Later, he rudely told us he didn't have time, that we shouldn't hold him up, and offered us 50 euros, saying, "Isn't that enough? What do you even want?" The owner's behavior, his disrespect, and his arrogant manner toward customers and employees are completely unacceptable. Aside from the food, this restaurant doesn't deserve a single star.

Prices are way too high now! A few months ago it was okay, but now they want €9 for a regular doner kebab and €10.50 for a lahmacun – I think that's far too expensive. I'd rather go to Umani or somewhere similar for special meats, etc.

I've been going to Melis's for many years. Unfortunately, things have been changing lately. As you can see in the picture, I ordered an Adana platter, which cost €14 on the flyer. When I paid, the Adana platter was €2 more expensive than what was on the flyer. When I asked about it, they said, "Sorry, we forgot. These are the old flyers." I was really annoyed that they gave me such a cold answer. The price had already been changed at the register, and they even did it carefully, but they forgot the flyers. Or maybe they just don't have time for it. When I got home, the Adana platter came with rice, even though I had ordered fries.

The falafel sandwiches at Meli's Kebab & Pizza are a dream! Crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside, and perfectly seasoned. Combined with the crisp salad and creamy sauce, they make for a top-notch vegetarian sandwich. A true delight and my absolute recommendation!

This was my third visit to Meli's Döner, and I have to say I was very disappointed today. I love the food, and the service is really fast. But there's a lot to be said for friendliness and respect. The cashier was extremely impatient, and you felt like she was doing you a favor by selling you the kebab. As a customer, I expect nothing more than a little respect.

I've been visiting the MELIS restaurant with my family for many years and have always been very satisfied. Unfortunately, some things have changed for the worse recently. You're hardly ever greeted anymore, and even though the prices have gone up slightly, they're still within normal limits. The food still tastes good, and the waitresses are very friendly, but they're obviously very overworked. What has been noticing for some time, however, is the behavior of the older foreman. He seems very tense and unfriendly towards the employees, which unfortunately also affects the atmosphere in the restaurant. His facial expression doesn't leave a positive impression on the guests either. This evening we ate there again – probably for the last time. Unfortunately, the pizza was burnt, and we had to get our own cutlery. In the end, we ordered tea, but after a long wait, we were told they were out – apparently, there was a lack of communication within the team. We felt very uncomfortable, almost as if we had asked for something unreasonable. It's a shame that a restaurant we've enjoyed for so long has taken such a negative turn. Unfortunately, this visit was our last.

It's a disgrace. The restaurant doesn't care about its customers' problems. An item from our order wasn't delivered. It was already very difficult to reach the restaurant, and when we called, we were told the manager wasn't available to resolve the issue. They didn't listen to us or even speak to us on the phone. The employees simply picked up the phone and put it down. It's really, really questionable.

Had two kebabs to go, unfortunately, everything went wrong. I repeated everything several times when ordering, then paid €9 per kebab. The quality was poor, the bread was like rubber. The meat could have been grilled longer. Sorry, never again 😕😕😕

Part of my Lieferando order wasn't delivered. When I called to inquire about it, I was repeatedly hung up on and repeatedly cut off. Eventually, they answered the phone and insulted me on the phone. I absolutely cannot recommend this restaurant!

It's really disappointing that you pre-order in person, tell them what you need and when you'll be back to pick everything up, offer to pay in advance, and in the end: - nothing is done in terms of time - 25 minutes past the agreed time, you miss the train, and you have to hear again "it won't take long" - the pre-ordered dishes are incorrect. For 32 euros and 2 hours in advance, really bad.

The food was ok. A bit unusual the that it had potatoes in it.

What happened today: my boyfriend and I wanted to go out to eat after school and chose this shop. Today my boyfriend and I ate there. The man came up to us. We said what we wanted (a durum and a kofte sandwich). I said that I didn't want my durum spicy. The man wrote it down, gave it to the cashier, and the food arrived. I bite into it, and it is spicy. I call the man. He comes over to us. I ask him why the kebab is so spicy, if it is spicy, and he says that the kebab can't be spicy. The onions could apparently be spicy. I always eat my food with onions, and I know that onions can't be that spicy. Anyway, I didn't want to be mad, so I tried to eat the food straight, but I couldn't. We then went to the cashier to pay. We paid, and then I told the woman that my food was spicy, even though I said it shouldn't be spicy. She showed me the note and it said "spicy" then I told the woman that I didn't say so. She said that I should come and show it and then I would have gotten a new one. But I called the man who wrote the note before we paid and he said that it couldn't be spicy. How am I supposed to come and tell you afterwards? Then we pay and walk out. The man who wrote the note comes to me and gives me a drink and apologizes. I paid twelve euros!! and then you give me a drink. Instead could you maybe give me my money back? Plus my friend's food - he ordered a kofte sandwich - they were raw. There felt like there was only salad in them.

Today at 10:23 PM (more or less), I went to Melis and ordered some food. I clearly noticed that the staff greeted some customers—especially young ladies—with excessive enthusiasm and even tried to flirt with them. At the same time, other guests, like me, were simply ignored. Although I waited for almost 10 to 15 minutes, I received no attention at all. Only after the employees preparing kebabs and other food had finished with the young ladies was I even asked if I had ordered anything. I had already ordered directly from an employee at the cash register! Suddenly, all they said was, "Ready in a minute." Honestly, what's the point? This behavior is unprofessional, unfair, and paints a very poor picture of the service. As a paying guest, you feel like you're not being taken seriously. I couldn't even give it a star.

You'll never forget a kebab like this. Just go there yourself and enjoy. These kebabs are a whole other world.

I had reserved a table for several people on Sunday (last week). When I arrived at the restaurant, a member of staff (wearing a "Restaurant Melis" T-shirt) spoke to me in a very rude and disrespectful manner. She said she didn't have time and that I should be patient. I find this kind of behavior towards guests unacceptable. I sincerely hope that the service improves in the future—both in the way they treat customers and in the friendliness of the staff.

Standard kebabs. Quite solid dishes. Had a kebab plate with a drink for €14. The price is unbeatable. The portion is generous, but the flavor lacks a certain kick. Otherwise, everything was fine.

I had a doner kebab delivered to me and unfortunately it wasn't that good. The worst thing was the garlic sauce. I've never eaten such a sauce before. It was green and there was way too much of it so I couldn't really taste the meat.

I went to Melis Kebab Restaurant for the first time. I ordered Iskender kebab. It is very nice and delicious and served in a very large plate. I recommend it to everyone.

Customer service was absolutely terrible

I eat here often, and they always take my order wrong. I tell the waitress I don't want onions, and that's often misunderstood or ignored. I was there last day and ordered a spicy kebab without onions. I was there watching the colleague prepare my order, and I saw that he had added onions. I pointed it out to him, and he replied that he hadn't. I asked, "Are you sure?" He said yes. When I got home and opened it, there were, of course, onions in it. The food is really delicious and the portions are huge, but the staff should speak better German to avoid misunderstandings.

I wanted to order a pizza and it said outside that it cost 8.50€ but when I wanted to pay they said 10€ I found it unbelievably expensive. Not only that, I had to wait almost 20 minutes for a pizza and the employees weren't in the mood. When I got my food (doner pizza) there was so little meat in it.

"Prices are rising, quality is declining – no longer justifiable" I was a regular at Melis Kebap & Pizza for over five years – the place was my first choice for a long time: delicious, generous portions, fair prices. But that's sadly history. What's happened here in recent years is simply disappointing. The doner kebab plate used to cost €10, then €12 – and now almost €14. And that's for a portion that now consists of over 80% fries. The meat content has steadily decreased over the same period – and you can clearly see it. It used to be a decent meal, but now it feels like an expensive plate of fries with some decorations on top. The price increase is not only significant, it's simply excessive and disproportionate to the service. It almost seems as if, as a customer, you're paying the price for new branches – unfortunately, not in the sense of better food, but with your own wallet. I won't go there anymore – and many of my friends feel the same way. That's how you alienate loyal customers bit by bit. It's a shame, but at some point, enough's enough.

I recently visited Melis Kebap & Pizza on Leipziger Straße 62 and was very pleased with my visit. It is a cozy place with a warm atmosphere and friendly staff. I ordered the menu with a doner, fries and a drink for €8.90. The portions were generous: the doner was juicy and tasty, the fries were fresh and crispy. The service was fast and the food was served hot. I was especially pleased with the selection of dishes: from classic kebabs to pizzas with Turkish accents. The prices are quite reasonable and the quality of the food is excellent. The only downside is that it can be crowded during peak hours, so it is better to come a little earlier or later to avoid queues.

I love the shop, the food is always delicious and you always feel comfortable and the grill plate is awesome, we come often and play Yahtzee here, sometimes we just eat a little something and drink chai and we are always allowed to stay even when it is full, that is very hospitable

Our first order was a doner kebab and a falafel dürüm. Both were delicious, and we thought this could become our new regular. Unfortunately, our second order (takeaway) was a chicken skewer with fries and salad instead of the chicken skewer with grilled vegetables we ordered. Unfortunately, we didn't notice this until we got home and didn't want to go back. It was quite busy at lunchtime, and the waitress seemed more interested in talking to her colleagues than listening. What a shame!

I just wanted to eat a kebab with my daughter! Unfortunately my daughter's order came wrong and I had a fly to the dürüm! I don't know what to say, something like this shouldn't happen. Then another Dürüm came but it was completely wrong and I was accordingly disappointed 😞, sorry I would have liked to give it 5 stars but it didn't add up.
