Up Dei Däl in Ribnitz-Damgarten

Unfortunately, we didn't get to eat 😡. Only one condition, and it was so unfriendly that it took away your appetite! This is certainly not how to run a restaurant: politely asked for the menu = yelled at, "The food will take half an hour." After half an hour, still no menu. After all the other guests left without being served and new guests were seated, they were "served" unfriendly from back to front. So, when we were asked for our order in the sixth place, and I allowed myself the factual point that we, with our three small children, had already been waiting the longest, we received another very unfriendly answer that it wasn't their problem... then we left... very frustrated!

The restaurant is located in the Klockenhagen Open-Air Museum. The food doesn't justify the price: a dry, deep-fried schnitzel with fries without anything for around €20. Of course, you can get sachets of ketchup or mayo, but that's an extra charge. The service staff was very friendly despite being stressed. The older colleague made you fear having your food thrown on your table; a very unusual kind of person. Overall, a typical tourist trap, and as a local, I definitely wouldn't go back. The Bockwurst from the gas station has more charm. The open-air museum is also quite expensive at €10, but it's worth a look.

Unfortunately, it was disastrous. Food was lukewarm and they clearly tried to keep it warm for too long. Barely seasoned... Waiters overwhelmed. No ambiance, lights not on...

Culinary Disillusionment Behind an Idyllic Facade – The Restaurant "Up Dei Däl" in the Klockenhagen Open-Air Museum Upon entering the restaurant, we were greeted not by a hint of hospitality, but by the sight of a waitress rushing around the room as if in a commotion, visibly overwhelmed and in a constant hurry – an image that ran like a recurring theme throughout our entire stay. First, we were served potato soup in a bowl without a saucer – a lukewarm, almost watery broth, in which two Vienna sausages floated. Two slices of bread lay in it like forgotten wreckage – soggy, soggy, and unusable in every way. After we complained, a second portion appeared, this time on a plate, slightly thicker and without the slices of bread floating in it. The bread was only served after we asked again, and then separately. Next came the chicken breast salad, which turned out to be a culinary disappointment in its purest form: the chicken was cold and stringy, a meager eighth of a tomato slice, a solitary radish leaf, and two lettuce leaves – apparently intended as a green fig leaf to disguise the true essence of the dish: grated carrot salad and a pasta salad with mayonnaise and packaged peas. The schnitzel: a sad, ready-made product from the freezer, presumably processed meat, hastily heated in the deep fryer. It was served with limp fries and packaged cucumber salad – a combination that would rob even the most well-intentioned palate of any indulgence. Only the beef goulash with pasta reached a level that could be described as "almost acceptable," although even here the bar was not set too high. The price, however, was at a level that, given the quality offered, can only be described as outrageous. The ambiance may seem inviting at first glance – the location in the Klockenhagen Open-Air Museum is undoubtedly charming. However, anyone who visits here should enjoy the constant noise of many families with small children, or have the skill to completely tune it out – unless you're part of such a family yourself and want to playfully and noisily blend in with the background noise. Since our children are much older, we were almost adept at ignoring it, but only almost. Conclusion: A place that promises idyllic views on the outside, but disappoints with its culinary offerings and irritates with its price. The location is the only thing that makes the visit bearable. Everything else: a lesson in how not to do things.

Absolutely disgusting. After asking, they confirmed that we could sit outside. We were never given a menu, let alone waitress service. We got one annoyed look from the waiters for free. After 20 minutes, we decided to go somewhere else to eat. The kids couldn't bear it any longer. Never again. Absolutely not recommended!

The ambience was as expected, the service was quick and friendly, and the food was plentiful and fresh. We would eat there again without hesitation.

Like many other visitors to the beautiful open-air museum, we stopped at Up Dei Däl for a light meal. If you like medieval service and minimalist food, this is the place for you. The waitress was grumpy and unprofessional, and the solyanka was served in a truly tiny cup. The slice of bread, advertised as coming from the wood-fired oven, turned out to be a dried-out quarter of about 20 grams. So, we'd happily return to the museum, but not "up the hill."

Open-air museum top...museum restaurant flop...hard bread...sour solyanka...rude behavior towards guests...staff and kitchen overwhelmed...

The catering for the annual reception was SUPERB 👍. It was superbly organized, and everything was deliciously prepared. The ambiance in the restaurant is quaint and cozy, inspiring me to spend some time there more often. Keep it up 👍. Best wishes from Nicki

Well, the ambiance is nice, but otherwise... We were there for a wedding reception. There was a buffet that left a lot to be desired. The budget was very tight; the main courses weren't enough for everyone, and even when asked, they didn't refill. After all, you should at least have a chance to get full. And that was despite fewer guests than registered (last minute cancellations). The food would have been sufficient if there had been 20% fewer guests. There were only a few fresh ingredients. The potato salad tasted like it came from a bucket, as did the coleslaw. There were numerous dips and spreads, but not enough bread. Replenishing the bread took forever. Dessert came in batches with long breaks in between; if you weren't careful, you'd miss out on several rounds. They were probably hoping that some guests would give up. Drinks were supposed to be served. This only worked once at our table. Afterward, we were at least able to persuade the waitress behind the counter to serve drinks. As I said - well

Here you can see that there is a shortage of skilled workers. The service on the terrace was completely disorganized and chaotic. Had to be called 3 times before he even took an order. 2 * Soljanka, a water and a beer took a whole 25 minutes to get to the table. The price/performance ratio for the Soljanka (small soup cup + about 20 cm² "large" slice of bread) is over €6.50. It took almost as long before the waiter decided to accept payment. He came with an EC device, but then explained that it didn't work because he didn't have WiFi. This confirmed that we live in a service desert in Germany.

We arrived at the open-air museum today and stopped in at the restaurant. A lovely ambiance and a small, straightforward menu. We received a friendly welcome and service. The food (pea soup and solyanka) is highly recommended. Delicious home-style cooking at reasonable prices. 👍👍👍

We went to the open-air museum today and it was great. After the first great impressions, we stopped for lunch and it was also very tasty. The pancakes were fluffy, the fries with nuggets were crispy and the baked potatoes with quark and salad were very tasty. The staff was friendly and we had an overall good day. Thank you

I ordered a fried herring with fried potatoes for €12.50. After a long wait, the fish arrived, looking and tasting like it had just come out of a can. The fried potatoes were pretty good, but there were very few of them.

We made the trip by bike and were hungry for lunch. The good thing first: the service was very friendly! For that the stars and for the taste. Otherwise: Vienna sausages were out. The only type of beer (dark) was out. The children's portion of pasta with tomato sauce WITHOUT meat is definitely overpriced at €7 for a ladle of pasta with a little sauce. €4.50 would be more than reasonable for this small amount. Unfortunately, the map is generally very manageable. Egg tart (1x savory and 1x sweet), pea soup, salad, Bismarck, herring in a roll or with fried potatoes, baked potatoes, brawn. That was it. If you're hungry at lunchtime after a long bike ride, you won't be satisfied with just one portion, no matter what. We're really not big eaters, but after physical exercise it wasn't enough for us. You would have had to order another complete round to get full. We find the price-quantity ratio largely unsuitable.

Hi, that's the answer to the last review! I'm the waiter! Kay and I personally think this rating is unfair! Unfair and not fair! Personally, I was always there for them...they not only ruined my reputation with the rating but also the reputation of the restaurant...I was there and they were really able to talk to me about it!!!! Personally I feel very disappointed BUT I wish them a nice year!!!! Kind regards to the waiter who unfortunately disappointed you!!!!

A very unfriendly boss! A brunch was ordered that was really more than bad...almost nothing was added, it was clearly not enough for the number of people ordered and the selection was more than manageable! When I asked the boss if we could top it up, the answer was no...after all, there was more than enough...and people don't really eat much...for €26.50 per person. You can expect some service and selection...once and never again!

We fortified ourselves here on the occasion of a visit to the museum. The food was delicious, we really liked the atmosphere, and the service was great. We can recommend it.

We came into the restaurant and sat down. Instead of a friendly greeting, we were initially ignored for a long time. The menus only came after asking and waiting again. It also took a long time for the food to be ordered and for it to arrive. The egg tart was ok, but nothing more. The schnitzel was far too dark and even burnt in one place. The chef probably tried to hide it and simply spread the sauce on the schnitzel. So the schnitzel was burnt and the breading was soggy. When we were asked how the food was and the feedback came, the waitress let out an "ohhhh" and that was it. At least a “we’ll pass it on to the kitchen” would have been desirable.

Das Essen war sehr lecker mein Mann hat 4 Bratherringe verputzt. Sehr gemütlich.

Sehr schönes Ambiente, man kann sowohl drinnen als auch draußen sitzen. Die Karte ist übersichtlich, es ist für jeden etwas dabei. Außerdem gibt es ein Tagesgericht. Freundliche Bedienung, das Essen hat sehr gut geschmeckt.

Wir haben Mitte Juni unsere Hochzeit, unter freiem Himmel, bei herrlichstem Wetter, im Freilichtmuseum und im Anschluss in der Gasstätte Up Dei Däl gefeiert. Die Planung und Organisation mit der Crew im Voraus lief reibungslos und unkompliziert. Das Menü wurde ganz entspannt per viedeocall gemacht. Kleinere Abstimmung wurden kurzer Hand am Telefon erledigt. Beim Buffet wurde komplett auf unsere Wünsche eingegangen, auch außergewöhnliche Wünsche wurden in die Tat umgesetzt. Bei der Getränkekarte ist für jeden was dabei, eine Sorge weniger. Was es nicht auf der Karte gab wurde einfach besorgt und wir waren glücklich. Klasse Performance! Die Kellner, nett, hilfsbereit und haben gesehen wann sie gefordert waren. Sie haben, bis zum bitteren Ende, immer ein Lächeln im Gesicht gehabt. Man muss dazu sagen, bei uns gab es viel zu tun am Tresen. 😄 Das Resümee der Gäste auf das Essen und die Location waren durchweg positiv. Sehr zu empfehlen!

Die urige Gaststätte im Freilichtmuseum macht vom Ambiente her einen netten Eindruck. Wir wurden schnell bedient. Die Speisekarte ist überschaubar, die Preise sind auch nicht überteuert. ABER: der Eierkuchen, den unser Sohn mit Zimt und Zucker bestellt hat, wurde in der Mikrowelle aufgewärmt und war hart, trocken und ungenießbar! Da die Tür zur Küche offen war und in der Gaststätte sehr wenige Gäste waren, haben wir es selbst gesehen, wie der Teller in die Mikrowelle geschoben wurde! Und so was geht gar nicht, denn so ein Crepe frisch zu braten, ist kekn Aufwand und dauert max. 5 min! Mein Erbseneintopf wurde zwar auch aufgewärmt, aber das ist noch verständlich, dass man so etwas vorkochen und dann erhitzen muss, aber er war lecker! Ein Tipp - dann machen Sie wenigstens die Küchentür zu.

Wir haben unter freiem Himmel auf dem Gelände des Freilichtmuseums geheiratet (offizielle Außenstelle vom Standesamt Ribnitz) und anschließend im Up Dei Däl mit unseren 60 Gästen gefeiert. Wir können nur sagen: Wir waren wirklich SUPER ZUFRIEDEN!!! Erstmal das Restaurant an sich hat so viel Scham, dann das drum herum und der Flair des Freilichtmuseums war perfekt für uns. Wir und unsere Gäste haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Die Absprachen waren unkompliziert und uns wurde immer versucht jeden Wunsch zu erfüllen. Zudem hat uns jeder unserer Gäste ein positives Feedback zum Abendbuffet gegeben. Auch das Preis-/Leistungsverhältnis hat hier mehr als gestimmt. Alles in Allem: Wir können das Restaurant als Hochzeitslocation wärmstens weiterempfehlen! :)

An das gesamte Team Up Dei Däl ein riesen Lob 🥰 egal ob es bei den schönen Geburtstagsfeiern war in grosser Gesellschaft oder auch beim Weihnachtsbrunch. Diese gemütliche Atmosphäre, das leckere Essen die freundliche Bedienung einfach toll . Ein grosses Danke an alle! Wir freuen uns auf den nächsten Besuch .

1. Mai 2022: Soviele glückliche Menschen schoben sich heute durch das prall mit tollen Ständen und Angeboten lockende Freiluftmuseum Klockenhagen.!! Perfekte Organisation in allen Bereichen . Rappelvolle Parkflächen !! Aber vor allem Bombenstimmung bei Schnäppchenjägern und glänzende Augen bei den Anbietern von Gartenpflanzen, Trödel vom Feinsten, Kunst und Antiquitäten. Und das Sahnehäubchen vom Schlendern und Schlemmen war das " Einkehren" . UpDeiDäl. ist der Knaller! Historisches gepflegtes Ambiente, supernettes Personal und lecker. was aus der Küche kam. Auch im Gelände waren viele verlockende " Futterkrippen" schmatzend und genießend dicht umlagert. Dieser perfekte Tag hat Lust auf' s Wiederkommen gemacht. Dann also von uns : " BIS BALD ! Der Adventsbrunch zum 3. Adventsonntag war der richtige, noch erlaubte!, Einstieg in das Weihnachtsfeeling. Freundliche, aufmerksame, kompetente Bedienung. Kein langes Anstehen zum Buffet. Die Speisen waren alle auf den Punkt und haben prima geschmeckt. Es war ein später Vormittag, wie man ihn selten erleben darf. Ich freue mich, auf den Brunch '22, hoffe, daß er wieder ausgerichtet wird. Gratuliere und wünsche ein verdient erarbeitetes, ruhiges Weihnachtsfest.

Hund sind willkommen, Bedingungen sind flexibel, aber leider ein bisschen unfreundlich. Das Preis Leistungsverhältnis passt auch überhaupt nicht. 9,50€ für Sherrymatjes mit Bratkartoffeln. Allerdings hätte man davon 2 Portionen essen müssen um satt zu werden .

Wir waren um Freilichtmuseum Klogenhagen und was bietet sich da an? Natürlich hier zu essen. So ein wunderbare Sülze habe ich selten gegessen und die Nudeln für die Kinder... zum Fingerablecken !! Ich könnt jeden Tag hier essen. Macht weiter so! Danke.

Beim Besuch im Freilichtmuseum ist der Besuch ein Muss. Eine übersichtliche Karte mit vielen leckeren Speisen wurde und gebracht. Die Bedingung war schnell und freundlich. Meine Wahl fiel auf die Fischsuppe und die Sülze. Bei der Sülze wurde eine leckere selbstgemachte Remulade mit serviert die einfach nur super lecker war. Der Rest der Familie hatte Kartoffelpuffer und Nudeln mit Tomatensauce. Beim nächsten Besuch werden wir es uns nicht nehmen lassen noch einmal das "Up Dei Däl" zu besuchen.

Sehr unstrukturiert, die Bedienung war überfordert daher lange Wartezeiten- obwohl es nicht sehr voll war. Es wurden Angebote angepriesen „Bratwurst vom Grill“, die es aber gar nicht gab, das sorgte bei einigen Gästen für lange Gesichter. Essen war lecker (Würzfleisch, Kindernudeln, Nuggets mit Pommes). Das Thema des Museums könnte man aber beim Essen auch umsetzen, das ist schade.

Nettes Lokal, überschaubare Karte, leckere Gerichte...besonders der Matjes mit Bratkartoffeln ist zu empfehlen. Gut für einen kleinen Zwischenstopp bei Hunger. Gibt auch Kaffee und Kuchen...man kann sich im Haus seine Lieblingstasse zum Kaffeetrinken raussuchen..Bedienung ist sehr bemüht, wirkt aber auch manchmal überfordert...

Gemütliches Örtchen innerhalb des Freilichtmuseums . Die Karte ist überschaubar...Das Essen war lecker und schön angerichtet. Der Kaffee ist extrem lecker. Selbst gebackener Kuchen ist immer gut. Preise sind in Ordnung. Sehr freundliche um einen bemühte Chefin. Gerne wieder.

Tolles Ambiente. Freundliche Bedienung durch eine kleine süße Chechin. Essen war lecker. Preis, Leistung ok. Empfehlenswert !!!

Selbst bei wenigen Gästen unglaublich lange Wartezeiten. Der schlechte Service und das wenig freundliche Personal haben uns den Appetit verdorben. Wir blieben daher bei unseren Getränken und haben uns so schnell es ging, wieder auf den Weg gemacht. Das Essen kann ich also nicht beurteilen.

Macht einen sehr unstrukturierten Eindruck. Der Kinderteller , Nuggets und Pommes wurde mit halb rohen Hähnchenfleisch serviert. Bei dem großen Salatteller waren die Hähnchen streifen teilweise schwarz gebraten. Desweiteren fanden sich andere Dinge aus der Friteuse die da nicht rein gehörten.Der Kinderteller mit Nuggets wurde jedoch reklamiert und kostenlos ersetzt. Babystühle sind vorhanden. Wartezeit ist recht lang. Speisen passen nicht in das Thema des Museum Dorfes. Ich hätte mir eher Speisen aus dem Zeitalter des Dorfes gewünscht. Der warme Sanddorn war recht lecker. Auch die Möglichkeit kostenlos Bücher die ein interessieren ist recht gute Idee.
