Absolutely not recommended! 👎🏼 Ordered yesterday via Lieferando, total disappointment. • Delivery time was advertised as 25–45 minutes. Delivered after 1 hour and 25 minutes. • The carbonara was completely tasteless and unsalted. There was hardly any bacon. The sauce was like pure cream straight from a carton. • The panini with grilled vegetables arrived without any vegetables. Just a burnt roll with cheese and basil. The top was so black I had to throw it away. I don't understand the positive reviews. If I could, I would give zero stars.

Delicious food with fresh, homemade tomato sauce. Very friendly service. What a great university restaurant with an interesting history! We'll definitely be back!

After sitting there for 20 minutes and being ignored, we left. It's a shame, but those are the basics; they have to be right, too...

Everything was perfect. Cool atmosphere, great photos on the walls. Great service (I think it was the manager), and great pizza.

My mom and I ordered there for the first time today and were absolutely thrilled. My tortellini was super delicious, and the bruschetta and pizza were also amazing. I love that they also serve dessert… highly recommended 😍

One star is still too many, but you can't write a review without one! I ordered from Lieferando for my sick daughter! The pannini arrived completely soaked (wet, to be precise)! I complained the same day and was told I would get a credit! I still haven't received a refund and the restaurant is closed for vacation and I can't keep my money anymore! The student on the phone said 10 euros isn't a lot of money! I told him it's nice when 10 euros for a few hours isn't a lot for an inedible meal!!!!!

Whether you're a student or later in life, the food here is as good as ever. Only the pizza bianca with meatballs and corn should be back on the menu. ;-)

The young man in the blue delivery van is endangering people!!! I have the license plate number and will file a report. You can't drive like that!

Unfortunately, it's located right on the street; a few bushes and flowers along the adjacent fence would have improved the ambiance. My pizza with fresh tomatoes had the tomato crumbs left on it. The service was friendly but young. The clientele is mostly students, which surprises me given the rather pricey prices (€6 for a bottle of water). However, we only used the outdoor area, so I can't comment on the interior ambiance.

We each ate a pizza here. Both pizzas were delicious. The dough has improved compared to previous years. We sat outside in the small beer garden next to the Unckel on the street. Wilhelmstraße wasn't very busy, being a Saturday night. We had a half-liter of open Primitivo with our pizza, which was very warm, not as cold as you sometimes get served.

Recommended price-performance ratio okay

Delicious pizza and friendly staff, so 2 stars for that. On the downside, I had specifically pre-ordered for a specific time, but couldn't pick it up until 45 minutes later. The regular 30cm pizza was unfortunately only 25cm in diameter. It's also expensive compared to the competition, who also have to pay higher taxes. Too bad

Nice, simple restaurant. You can reserve, but you'll probably get a spot. Pizza was very tasty, we shared a large special pizza that came with a small salad. Service was friendly and quick. Price/performance here is very good. With larger groups it can be very loud in the restaurant, but otherwise it can be quiet.

I never really understood the Unckel. If it calls itself a university ristorante and the signs promise to be a student alternative, you can get middle-class Italian food there at prices that are hefty for students. It's not comfortable either and you have to wait quite a long time even for spaghetti with garlic.

A great student-restaurant in Tübingen that offers great, simple local or German dishes, a good selection of beers, very reasonable prices, board games, a carambole/pool table, good music , and friendly but swift service.

Sat together in a nice atmosphere. Unfortunately I ordered crespella (stuffed pancake) with spinach and feta cheese. Conclusion: Just a pancake that was filled with a maximum of 50 g of frozen leaf spinach and a homeopathic amount of sheep's cheese. Not only would it have been a starter at best, the spinach was frozen, which in principle there is nothing wrong with. But it was just thawed and warmed up, no seasoning at all!. A larger amount of sheep's cheese would have helped the tastelessness. I had to deconstruct the pancake to be able to season the filling. The spinach would have needed a toss in the pan beforehand, some salt, pepper, onions and garlic and a dash of cream. So, in addition to everything mentioned above, it was also a very dry affair. Simply too little for the price!

As usual, delicious pizza at a good price. I think it's great that there are specially smaller pizzas for children. The staff was also very friendly.

The service was super nice and accommodating! (the one with the tattoos and the short pink hair) It really made you feel like you were in good hands. The atmosphere was also very great and relaxed. We received great advice and the tiramisu here is very tasty.

Delicious pizzas, offers for students

The food was very tasty (pizza corn and garlic and a Greek salad), unfortunately the salad was completely without feta, even though it said so on the menu.

I've been eating at Unckel since 2014 and the food has always been really good, even though the owner and kitchen have changed. I was just pretty shocked at the price. A small pizza Bianca to take away for €11.10. It feels like it cost €7 less than 2 years ago. I find it really expensive, especially without service. A pity.

I was already there and ordered. I liked the pasta and salads on site, and I thought the pizza was good when I ordered it. I had Bambini for €9.50 and ate it for two days. The soil is really good! I don't normally eat pizza crust. Here I ate the edge for the first time in a long time. Really delicious and friendly!

Sehr lecker und schöne location

The Unckel is a real feel-good place along Wilhelmstrasse. The food is good, the staff is incredibly friendly, the owner is always up for a chat and the atmosphere is great (especially in summer it's very pleasant to dine on the terrace). Big and small hunger and thirst can be easily satisfied here.

The fresh mussels were incredible.

Unckel is a really good restaurant and they rotate the salad menu in the summer. In the winter they have clams in the winter.

Hab am Sonntag dort das Tagesgericht: Nudeln Frutti di Mare gegessen. Die waren mega. Bitte nehmt die Dauerhaft auf die Karte!! Service war top! Auch die Pizzen und sonstigen Gerichte sind sehr lecker. Ich war in der Vergangenheit schon öfters da und bin jedes Mal mehr als zufrieden. Tiramisu ist handgemacht und schmeckt hervorragend. Weiter so! Komme jederzeit wieder:)

Ich komme seit ca. 20 Jahren regelmäßig hierher. Das Essen ist gut und günstig mit innovativer Tageskarte, der Service gibt sein bestes, das Ambiente kommt seit dem Umbau von der Weistube zum Italiener langsam auch schon wieder in die Jahre. Dennoch verdient sich der Laden einen festen Platz im Studentenleben - und danach. Fast schon kultig!

Ich habe nun circa 10x hier etwas zum Abholen bestellt. Bei 5x war die Bestellung entweder sehr angebrannt oder fehlerhaft (falsche Zutaten o. Extrazutat vergessen). Zwar wurde mir jeweils angeboten, eine neue Pizza zu machen, die Bedienungen sind nett. Der Koch taugt aber nichts.

Un super lieu à la cool, avec des serveuses adorables et au petit soin, nous avons très bien mangé et passé un agréable moment. Eine superschöne Platz zum Essen, die Bediennung ist ganz gut. Zu probieren !

Studentische Wohlfühl-Atmosphäre, auch für Nicht-Studenten. Pizza und Tiramisu sind sehr zu empfehlen. Immer einen Besuch wert.

Das Personal ist sehr entspannt und freundlich ...dagegen war das Essen nichts besonderes .Die Pizza ist wässrig und geschmacklich konnte sie auch nicht überzeugen. Die Pasta war ungesalzen und die Lachs Stücke musste man mit einem Mikroskop suchen…

We went there for Lunch, choosing the daily menu: vegetarian, vegan, meat, or potato - it was quite quick - drinks, selection of the food for a large group (20) and the gentle service. Simple but delicious food. We will come back.

Alles bestens. Getränke kamen bereits ca 2 Min nach der Bestellung und das Essen ließ auch nicht lange auf sich warten. Salat war mehr als ich erwartet hatte und die Pizza war auch ordentlich. Preise sind angemessen. Jederzeit gerne wieder.

Mittlerweile ist das Unkel einfach zu teuer für das, was man dort bekommen kann. Einen Mittagstisch bekommt man anderswo zu besseren Konditionen. Dazu kommt, dass man nicht einmal Leitungswasser bekommen kann. Alles andere als studi-freundlich.

An der Fassade steht noch in schöner Jugendstil-Schrift "Weinstube von Fritz Unckel". Es ist zu vermuten, dass der alte Fritz im Grab rotieren würde. Die Wein-Auswahl beschränkt sich auf wenige Durchschnitts-Plörren. Es ist laut. Dem überwiegend studentischen Publikum scheint's zu behagen. Ich bleibe auf der gegenüberliegenden Strassenseite.

They have a selection of classic, tasty, fulfilling breakfast items from which you can choose any combination you like. We tried ham & eggs, multiple kinds of scrambled eggs, and bread with jam. Everything was fresh, well-made and nice, all in all it was a great breakfast experience. Coffee was also tasty and hot. Bonus points for the nice outside area. :)

Piatti "italiani" come pizza e pasta a prezzi convenienti. La qualità del cibo e la pulizia del luogo lasciano un po' a desiderare ma è un tipico locale alla buona per universitari ed il personale è disponibile. Da migliorare.

Comer fuera era muy agradable. Tenía la lasaña y era muy bueno. Buena selección de pasta y pizza. Buen servicio. Agradable lugar donde los estudiantes universitarios ir a conseguir buena comida por un buen precio.

Man muss wissen wo man ist! Die Uni ist ggü., da weiß man doch was einen erwartet: Eine schlichte, aber wie ich finde, nette Location mit einfachem nicht perfektem Essen, aber angemessen preiswert. Wein ok! Bedienung sehr nett. Soviel Auswahl gibt es in Tübingen jetzt auch nicht wirklich!

Vado spesso da Unkel perchè è vicino all'università. E' buono, pizza gradevole, diversi piatti italiani, personale gentilissimo e ottimo tiramisù. Niente di speciale, ma ottimo per una buona pausa pranzo o un drink di pomeriggio.

Tuebingen has its share of pubs, cafes, and restaurants. Sharing lunch with our daughter after one of her final exams, we enjoyed a spicy salami pizza, while she had a student pizzza--spicy salami and a fried egg atop it. Delicious crust, tasty sauce, and nicely balanced salami made for a nice lunch for our family.

Typisches Studentenlokal, Besuche waren jedoch immer durchwachsen. Einmal gab es dort keinen Salat mehr, das andere Mal schmeckte die Pizza wie tiefgefroren, jedoch kann der Unckel auch ganz anders! Es ist immer abhängig davon, wer in der Küche steht. Denn darauf kommt es hier an, ob das Essen qualitativ gut ist, oder eben nicht. Hier ist alles drin. Vielen ist die Pizza hier zu kurz im Ofen gewesen. Ich mag jedoch eher die "flüssigere und weichere" Variante. Auch die Menge des Pizzabelags variiert von Besuch zu Besuch (zwei Scheiben Speck - sechs Scheiben Speck). Man weiß also nie genau was man bekommt. Trotzdem gehe ich ab und zu gerne hier essen und hoffe auf das Beste. Außerdem hat das Restaurant immer ein sehr günstiges Mittagsangebot (Essen und Getränk). Hat der Unckel einen guten Tag, ist das Essen nämlich wirklich köstlich. Eine gute Location für Zwischendurch.

Auf eine Pizza Margharita hat man einfach grob den Inhalt einer Thunfischdose draufgeklatscht und uns diese so serviert. Das dauert doch nicht mal 5 minuten trotzdem bekamen wir das essen erst nach 45 minuten. Die war dann so kalt dass nach einem bissen nicht weitergegessen werden konnte. Die nudeln schmeckten alt und fad. Da muss eine menge geändert werden. Zudem sollte man nicht vollbärtige studenten bedienen lassen, die auch noch genervt und gelangweilt schauen und unhöflich sind.

Das Essen schmeckte furchtbar. Von uns hat keiner zu Ende gegessen. Die Zutaten waren nicht frisch und die Portionen schienen nicht fertig zubereitet zu sein.

Leider kann ich das lokal nicht weiterempfehlen. Man hat durchweg den Eindruck dass dort nur leute arbeiten die keine Ahnung von der Gastronomie haben. Das Essen ist nicht richtig zubereitet. Der Service versagt auf ganzer Linie. Keine gute Idee dort nur Studenten arbeiten zu lassen.

Das Essen ist hervorragend und das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis stimmt. Das Personal ist freundlich, aber etwas langsam. Als wir bezahlen wollten mussten wir 15 Minuten darauf warten dass die Bedienung uns beachtet.

Immer etwas chaotisch, Rechnung gibts wie anno 1920....Mittagstisch mit Getränk und Espresso sehr günstig. Für Miesmuschelfreunde hat man leider an der Qualität der Muscheln gegenüber früher gespart. Wer damit leben kann, dass im Durcheinander auch mal ein Bestellung falsch verstanden wird oder eine Pizza nicht kommt, ist hier gut bedient.

Die Pizzen sind ok und sehr günstig, leider falsche Bestellung gebracht aber sonst ganz nett dort und sehr freundliches Personal.

Im Unckel kann man für kleines Geld wirklich lecker Essen. Neben der normalen Karte gibt es auch noch eine Tageskarte...

Went to Unckel on a Tuesday at 1pm. Full of students and university staff. Service was efficient and food was ok. The daily menu comes with a side salad that I didn't expect, so a happy costumer!
