We were always ordering from UMI x Gendai for take away and this time we decided to visit this Wedding gem. We were not disappointed! The staff is super nice and welcoming and the interior has a fun vibe. The food was always top and it’s great to have such asian fusion kitchen in the hood!

I've been waiting for this place for a long time because I live around the corner and it's the only restaurant between Afrikanische strasse and Seestrasse that isn't an Imbiss. The food is really good and fresh, I like the concept a lot. The modern take on asian fusion is really smart for their young Germans market fit. Service is always courteous and quick.

Two hearts beat in my chest. On the one hand, the ambience - cool and stands out from other similar shops. The card is brightly colored and has cool sayings. And the staff was friendly and always tried to fulfill our wishes. BUT: unfortunately the floor was extremely sticky and the outdoor seating areas were not clean (layer of dust, water on the bench, etc.). And unfortunately the food lacked a bit of spice (and love), the presentation of the food on the plate is good, but unfortunately the taste doesn't quite live up to what the presentation (and the colorful menu) promises. So, stick with it and try to get a little better every day.

Great and nice restaurant. The food is all fresh and beautifully prepared. You can sit outside in the back of the restaurant. The service was nice, friendly and helpful. We had a very nice evening there.

It was perfect and tasted delicious

We enjoyed our visit. From outside you wouldn’t guess that inside it’s a hidden gem. We loved the tapas. The main veg dishes were super fresh and healthy. Maybe a bit too healthy. But that means that the Chef don’t use any enhancers;-) the drink were super nice. Also perfect for no drinkers.

Had chicken instead of tofu in my vegan summer rolls! 🤮 Be careful all veggies/vegans!!

Super positive crarasse location. With a crazy menu visually and in terms of offers. We came here for the first time today for the first anniversary of our engagement and it was wonderful. The table was reserved online stating the occasion and they definitely went the extra mile. The service was courteous, the food was delicious and the atmosphere was very warm and homey. We will definitely come back again.

The UMI Berlin convinced me in every respect... to the fullest!! It started at the reception. We had a person in a wheelchair with us and without much notice a suitable place was prepared by the very accommodating waiters. In addition, for religious reasons, we attach importance to the meat being Helal and there is also the option (the UMI is Helal certified). The feeling of welcome and tolerance is reflected in the interior design and makes the dining experience very positive. About the food: The sushi was a 10/10. We ordered the “Shira the Vegan Master” roll. The fresh ingredients and the tempura avocado with the topped wakame salad absolutely picked me up. The Alice in Chinatown with the crispy duck has an intense umami taste with a nice consistency of the udon noodles. Absolute recommendation from me. I can highly recommend the store. Not the last time I was there.

My absolute favorite Asian cuisine in Berlin! The dishes are super creatively designed and taste 10/10! The employees are always super super nice and the atmosphere is extremely cozy! Recommended at any time and for everyone!! Always my pleasure!

The food tasted really delicious, I can absolutely recommend it, but the restaurant smelled like a drain that day. The smell was there all evening and the restaurant was dirty.

The restaurant is in a dirty condition, the seats and the high chairs for the children have white stains on them from drinks. You felt like you were being watched by the waiters. The restaurant is not child friendly. The prices are more than overpriced.

The waiter was super nice and I felt very comfortable. Food came really quickly too. Starters 10/10 a dream. Spring rolls were really really tasty. Main courses also quite good, I've had better ones, but you can't complain now. We paid €100 for 4 people with drinks, starter and main course. It's completely okay. We were all fed up with cardboard.

Leckeres Essen, entspannte Atmosphäre, sympathische Kellner. Ich bin gerne dort. Das Essen war lecker.

Sehr einladend und spannend eingerichtet, es gibt immer irgendwas Neues zu entdecken. Das Sushi war brutal lecker! Bestellt habe ich erst den Pankow Starters (glaub ich heisst es), es waren auf jeden Fall frittierte Aubergine mit Teriyaki und huiuiuiui war das fein. Als Hauptgang wählte ich Surf & Turf, eine ziemlich grosse Portion und jeder Biss ein Genuss :) Zu den Highlights gehörten tatsächlich auch die Getränke, spannende Kreationen mit viel Liebe zum Detail. Sobald ich mich wieder in Berlin aufhalten werde, könnt ihr fix davon ausgehen, das ich wiederkomme :)

Nach einiger Zeit waren wir wieder hier zum Abendessen. Wir waren zu viert und haben so einiges bestellt, nachdem wir uns durch die neue, unübersichtliche Speisekarte gekämpft haben: 2 x Suppe, 1 x Sommerrollen, Sushi. Getrunken haben wir frischen Minztee und Softdrinks. Zum Abschluss, um 21:30 Uhr, wollten wir noch Kaffee trinken, aber leider war die Kaffeemaschine gesäubert worden und nun aus, obwohl der Laden erst um 23:00 Uhr schließt. Also kein Kaffee, dann bitte die Rechnung. Und da ereilte uns der Schock EUR 160,00?? Das hatten wir nicht erwartet, da sind die Preise doch sehr angezogen worden. Im Nachgang haben wir uns die Preise noch einmal angeschaut und sind der Meinung, dass die Qualität und der Geschmack nicht im Verhältnis zum Preis stehen. Die Kokosmilchsuppe bestand zu 30 % aus rohen roten Zwiebeln und war sehr sauer, die Frühlingsrollen waren gut. Das Sushi Hot Tuna war mit einer rosafarbenen Sauce überzogen, die den eigentlichen Geschmack leider unvorteilhaft überdeckt hat. Das Rindfleisch (Surf and Turf) war etwas zäh. Die weiteren Speisen waren vom Geschmack her ok. Der Minztee mit einem Preis von 4,90 in einem noch dazu relativ kleinen Glas serviert einfach zu teuer. Der Service war wie immer top (bis auf die gesäuberte Kaffeemaschine..). Die Musik war für meinen Geschmack etwas zu laut für ein Restaurant, aber wenn man sich während des Essens nicht viel unterhalten möchte, ok :-). Fazit, um etwas zu trinken und eine kleine Portion Sushi zu essen ok. Ansonsten gibt es Alternativen mit einem besseren Preis-Leistungsverhältnis.

Ein super tolles Restaurant mit einer einladenden Atmosphäre, leckeren Drinks und einer tollen Speisekarte. Wir waren zum ersten Mal hier und waren von dem herzlichen Willkommen und dem super sympathischen Service den ganzen Abend über total beeindruckt. Wir hatten den Pinky Gin und verschiedene Tapas zum Teilen. Alles, egal was, war köstlich. Ein weiterer Pluspunkt: man riecht nach dem Besuch NICHT unangenehm nach Essen! Uns hat es so gut gefallen, dass wir gleich heute wieder hin gehen. 5 Sterne! 🙏🏼☺️

Das Essen ist der Hammer! Es gibt spannende Auswahl und obwohl ich schon 4-6 mal dort war, wird es nie langweilig. Die Speisen haben eine gute Qualität und alles schmeckt sehr gut. Der Service könnte manchmal etwas schneller und aufmerksamer sein, aber alle sind immer sehr nett. Im Sommer kann man im Innenhof ruhig und gemütlich sitzen und spürt von der Müllerstraße nichts. Ein besonderer Laden im Wedding, den man definitiv besuchen muss!!

Locale molto carino, personale gentile. Ampi spazi interni e giardino esterno. Piatti buoni e originali. Deliziose le melanzane in tempura. Attenzione ai prodotti e alla loro freschezza, alcuni ortaggi infatti sono di loro produzione. Bello anche l’arredamento. Accettano cani sia all’esterno che all’interno.

Worst fish miso suppe. We got it with tofu which wasnt written in menu. 3 minutes later they brought us same suppe just with taken out tofu and added fish eventho we said we wont eat it anymore. They charged us for it normally and when we politely said to waiter "okay we will pay but just between us this soup is really not good" waiter just answered "its your taste" and walked away. I allways want to try new places but that was worst restaurant experience in my whole 7 years in Berlin. I'm not recommending this place at all.

Eines unserer neuen Lieblingsrestaurants - das UMI. Ob Geschmack, Qualität, Frische, Auswahl und wie die Speisen angerichtet sind, bei allem wird ein hohes Niveau erreicht (kleine Kritik: Das Gericht "Pepperlunch" war etwas zu salzig). Wir waren nun zwei Mal da und jeweils begeistert. Auch die Bedienung war immer freundlich und aufmerksam. Im Hof sitzt man ruhig und abgeschottet vom Lärm der Müllerstraße. Besonders empfehlen können wir die Tapas/Vorspeisen (insb. jene mit frischem Fisch), die uns noch besser als die ebenfalls sehr leckeren Hauptgerichte gefallen haben. Die Preise sind etwas gehobener, was angesichts der Leistung aber völlig in Ordnung geht. Unbedingt empfehlenswert! (07/2023)

Mega leckeres, hochwertiges Essen, sehr guter und freundlicher Service, cool zurecht gemachte Location. Wir kommen immer wieder! Hunde sind auch willkommen :-) Musik dürfte einen Tick leiser sein.

Wir haben was kleines bestellt und 45min drauf gewartet. Der Service bringt uns falsche getränke nach 45min hat man auch keine lust mehr auf das essen. Wir bestellen 2 kleine Wasser es kommen 2 große, als wir uns beschwerten kamen dann die kleinen Wasser jedoch hat man uns auf die Rechnung die 2 großen und die 2 kleinen Wasser berechnet Reine abzocke

Größter Rotz 45min auf das essen gewartet was hingerotzt war, weil der Mitarbeiter kein Deutsch kann bringt er uns 2 große Wasser statt 2 kleine und versucht dann 4 Wasser abzukassieren NIE WIEDER NICHTMAL 1 STERN HABT IHR VERDIENT

Huge fan of the Tofu Curry here. Regularly ordering it as my own comfort food. Yesterday, however, it happened to be a very bitter dish. Unwillingly to discuss the topic, as returning food to the kitchen is not usually a good idea anywhere, we decided to have it packed up and bring it home. When paying, we were "tipshamed" by the waiters, who maliciously and ironically said "Wie Schade" when I clicked for my non-German speaking girlfriend that we would not tip. Excellent food, but I don't feel like coming back at all. Finally, the environment is overall nice and well decorated. The lounge music, however, is a bit too loud.

Tried the Crazy Salmon Rolls, they were amazing. Wasn't sure about the smoked eel, but it made every bite feel like heaven. The staff was friendly and provided good service. Every meal that came out of the kitchen looked so nice and the all round experience is more of a 6/5 star.
