I waited two hours for my order!

The food only arrived after more than 2 hours and tasted accordingly. Will never order there again

Totally overpriced, tasty, but the price-performance ratio is not right.

We visited last Saturday and had mixed feelings about our experience. Although we had a reservation, we still had to wait around 20-25 minutes to be seated. The restaurant was clearly understaffed, with only three waitresses serving, which led to long wait times: almost half an hour just to place our orders. Unfortunately, the service felt very unorganized. Drinks arrived when we were already halfway through our first plates, and starters were served after the main courses. This lack of coordination continued even after the restaurant became less crowded. Additionally, some employees seemed more focused on chatting and joking at the bar or open kitchen rather than attending to customers. On a positive note, the food was delicious, and the atmosphere was enjoyable. However, the poor service significantly impacted our overall experience, making it difficult to fully enjoy our evening.

We are often guests and have always been very satisfied. Only this time, even on Valentine's Day, we were a little disappointed. There was already a sign at the entrance saying that couples were allowed to stay for a maximum of 60 minutes. The service was not good and the restaurant was very crowded despite the time limit. There were four of us and we had already had edamame twice but no drinks, no cutlery or napkins. When asked, there was also a grim note that receipts would be processed in the order in which they were received. Three people ordered hot dishes and were satisfied with them. I had ordered many different sushi variations through my own experience and was disappointed for the first time. What is usually excellent in terms of taste and special than at other sushi restaurants was mediocre and rather average this time. The sushi didn't taste fresh and wasn't particularly tasty. In relation to the quality that we usually get served there, the food would be closer to 2 stars this time. All in all, the stay on Valentine's Day was unfortunately not so “romantic”. We are looking forward to our next visit.

While looking for a good Asian restaurant, we came across this restaurant near KaDeWe online. Reservation online was no problem. We entered the half-filled restaurant on time in the early evening and were not greeted or greeted at first. You could see a lot of staff in the open kitchen, but unfortunately no service staff. Finally someone came and we were allowed to choose our own place. The restaurant looks stylish, modern and Asian with an open kitchen. There were probably 8 people working in the kitchen. Later I was only able to see 2 in service. The menu and especially the prices were almost unreadable. The prices could only be determined with the support of cell phone light and zoom. However, with great surprise, we had informed ourselves in advance about the offer and prices on the website and discovered that some of the dishes of our choice (starter platter 35 instead of 29 euros, surf & turf 38 instead of 32 euros) were more expensive than on the hard-to-read printed menu, which also had a QR code that linked to the cheap prices online. When we asked the service about it, they seemed clueless and assumed old prices. In retrospect, you can find reviews that are already 1 year old that criticize exactly that. Intention? Online corrections should be quicker than printed paper. We chose miso soup as a starter, which came quickly and before the drinks we ordered. Tastes great. Nothing to complain about. Our main courses arrived at an appropriate interval. Special requests were taken into account free of charge. The taste and appearance were also very good, the degree of cooking was perfect, the quality of the meat was ok, unfortunately the entire meal was only lukewarm to almost cold. Too bad. Unfortunately, the water we ordered was only tap water, which was not clear from the menu. This costs €6.50 for 0.75 l. We had to wait a little longer for the bill as the restaurant was now full to capacity. The service overall was very friendly. I then wanted to use the waiting time to go to the toilet. At first glance it was also very modern and stylish, unfortunately I had to immediately withdraw without having achieved anything, so I won't go into details at this point. Of course other guests at the restaurant are responsible for this, but to me it didn't look like it had just happened. The music was only turned on suddenly and much too loud towards the end of the visit. Contrary to reviews to the contrary, card payment is possible. Be careful, the service presets a 15% tip, you are “allowed” to give more or forego it. We would have liked to give the restaurant a second chance, as basically all the requirements (ambience, cuisine, staff) are there. Due to the large number of no-gos, we will probably refrain from doing so.

Really great Asian restaurant. The focus of the cuisine is Vietnam. However, dishes from Japanese cuisine are also offered. The service was very attentive and friendly! We'd love to come back.

I've been here several times. The last time was as part of our company's Christmas dinner. This time with a good friend. We had reserved and got a nice table. The service was good. Drinks and food were excellent. The dessert is also highly recommended.

I am absolutely disappointed with the service and, more importantly, the extremely poor attitude. Don’t be fooled by the popularity of this place – it doesn’t live up to expectations, and the treatment of customers is just rude. When we arrived at the restaurant, it was half-empty, but we were seated by the door, through which cold air was blowing. I patiently waited, hoping the waiter would eventually notice us, but about 10 minutes passed before anyone approached. When I asked to be moved, he simply sat us at a table with a dog underneath it. When I explained that I have an allergy to dogs, the waiter just pointed to the exit! As a restaurant critic, I absolutely cannot recommend this place for a visit! I hope the owner sees this message, and I want to emphasize that this restaurant, unfortunately, fails to meet even the most basic standards of customer service and hospitality. The attitude towards guests is unprofessional and disrespectful, making what should have been a pleasant dining experience nothing short of frustrating. I urge anyone considering this place to think twice before choosing it.

Everything is great. I recommend to book in advance as it’s pretty busy. I waited 20 min and had a table. The food was delicious and very fast. All good. 5 stars.

Mientras asistía a Fruit Logistica le pedí al conserje del Intercontinental que recomendara un restaurante cercano. Desde el exterior no se ve especial y el interior es muy básico. La camarera era muy amable y servicial. Optamos por cócteles para empezar la noche. Ambos fueron excepcionales. Esto lo seguimos con atún y sashimi de salmón de nuevo un verdadero ganador. Luego tuvimos 6 ostras servidas con huevo de codorniz. Esto de nuevo fue bueno. Luego otra ronda de cócteles y para el principal el pato crujiente con fideos udon. Una vez más un plato perfecto. Para terminar la comida tuvimos sus dos postres característicos que fueron un gran final para la noche. En el lado negativo los baños estaban muy sucios y el servicio era un poco lento, pero esto se debió al hecho de que solo dos camareras dirigen todo el espectáculo. Pero la comida era genial. Pruebe este lugar cuando sea el próximo en Berlín.

Tasty and cool place. Apparently very fashionable) On Saturday 21:00 the place was fully seated, but the tables quickly vacated before my eyes. There was no hostess as such and I waited for a table for about 10 minutes because no one came, but this does not change the fact that the establishment is great! I took a cocktail with Gin, it’s called Yuzu Dragon, pleasant and sweet. Sashimi, special salmon and unagi rolls. I'll come back here, but I'll already be booking a table and maybe I'll pop in for lunch.

Have a good experience with the restaurant. More than two months ago, I went to the restaurant and found the food to be delicious. Service staff is attentive and polite. But the minus point is that the shop is dirty. The toilet is very dirty, paper is thrown everywhere. The floor is dirty and smelly. I don't think I will ever return to the restaurant again. Until yesterday, I was invited to the shop by a friend and saw that the shop was much cleaner, the bathroom was clean and very fragrant. I didn't think the shop would improve so quickly. This time I returned to the shop and gave it a good review. okay

Really great Asian with something different. Not the cheapest, but extremely high quality, great cocktails and a nice ambience.

The food was AMAZING! One of the best sushi I've ever eaten. Very nice cozy restaurant, super friendly staff and delicious drinks. The dessert was also very tasty. I will definitely come back when I am in Berlin.

The restaurant definitely offers very good cuisine, the dishes are tasty and well prepared. The Asian specialties in particular taste excellent. Unfortunately I have to say that the service doesn't always keep up with the quality of the food. The waiting times can sometimes be very long, which somewhat spoils the overall impression. What particularly disappointed me was that after a long wait and no tip, the waiter didn't even say “bye”. This is particularly a shame because the colleagues at the restaurant in Friedrichshain are much friendlier and more accommodating. Overall, the restaurant experience remains good, but the service could definitely be improved.

I have known and visited this restaurant for a few years now. Unfortunately I have to say that it continues to deteriorate in terms of service and ambience. The waiting times until we received the card, until someone responded to our attempts to flag down a waiter and until we had our drinks were barely reasonable last time. Although the service staff were visibly trying, the service seems to be generally understaffed, as only getting drinks at the same time as the starter after 20 minutes is unsatisfactory. Even after that, ordering something again turned out to be difficult and therefore slightly frustrating. In addition, the cleanliness of the toilets has unfortunately decreased significantly, paper towels are spread over the floor and sink (certainly a snapshot), overall they now seem a bit unkempt, The last point concerns the prices, which differ from the menu available online and are higher in the restaurant. This clearly shouldn't be the case, you decide for or against a restaurant based on the prices, and only discovering higher prices after making a reservation and arriving on site doesn't make a good impression, please just update the website! Even if your food is delicious, the ingredients used and the effort behind it no longer match the price of €22 for a vegan dish with seitan, tofu and some vegetables. Of course we all suffer from rising rents, food costs and a lack of staff, but the overall package is simply no longer right and unfortunately that was my last visit with you and I can't recommend it without hesitation as I used to.

The food here is really tasty, but unfortunately the service is not good for the second time. You make a reservation and still have to stand in the entrance area for 20 minutes without anyone from the staff actually approaching you. We waited 20 minutes for drinks and only brought them when reminded. Waited an hour for the main course. It's a shame, especially since the food itself is really delicious.

The food was good, but that was it. We ordered sushi, the quality of the ingredients and the preparation were top and left nothing to be desired. However, the ambience and service still have a lot of potential. We sat in a table near the middle. Despite its location at the back of the store, you could clearly feel the draft from the door. The whole time we were there, loud EDM beats were constantly playing, which didn't go with the food at all. This effect increased with fewer and fewer guests in the restaurant. The service was also not very attentive and not overly friendly. We wanted to reorder several times but were ignored despite some large gesticulations, so we ended up eating something somewhere else.

The ambiance is very nice and the food is delicious for very reasonable prices. The way they present the dishes is magic. You can look into their open kitchen and watch how the chefs prepare your food. They also offer take away but we will be back

I placed an order for over €40 via the website and received a confirmation by email, but this order never arrived!! No one was available on the phone several times!!

The taste and presentation were good but the ambience and service were a disaster. We had a reservation on New Year's Eve and had to wait 20 minutes for our table despite having a reservation. There were a few people who had the same problem. We then ordered and had to wait over an hour. We were then asked to pay because they would close at 10 p.m. and we hadn't even received the food yet. The waitress really tried hard and was always nice but was visibly stressed with the whole situation. The prices are also pretty hefty...by the way, you can find different prices online than on site, I didn't compare everything but, for example, the sushi platter we had was €7 more expensive than stated in the menu online. So the taste was good, but the organization on New Year's Eve was just a disaster.

Unfortunately, I can't fully understand the positive reviews. There were two of us there. Ambiance is appealing. Staff friendly, helpful and accommodating. Chairs, tables and cards, however, are all a bit dingy. Unfortunately we were not satisfied with the food. As a starter there was shrimp, which was okay. For the main course we had the entrecote and duck. The duck was a joke. 2 mini pieces of meat for 30€, plus a mountain of sweet potatoes, which didn't taste good at all. Salad dressing also left a lot to be desired in terms of taste. The meat (duck and entrecote) tasted good. Unfortunately the sauce is less so. A bottle of tap water costs €7. We had to wait forever for espresso and the bill. In summary, I cannot understand the reviews. The food is put together carelessly and tastes simply not right. The service makes an effort, but does not meet the requirements. The ambience is nice, but it lacks cleanliness. For the price you can expect more. I won't come back.

The sushi was okay, but I've had better. It didn't taste that fresh. The rest of our food was...how to say it nicely...interesting. I didn't like the taste very much. It took like 5 minutes before anyone noticed us and about 15 minutes before they took our order. Otherwise the staff was nice I guess.😐 The place is beautiful, but since there was a lot of people and the place isnt realy that big it seemed cramped.

After consulting with your employees and asking frequently whether they would be open on December 26th, we reserved a table for a BIRTHDAY with 8 people and a cake. They took down both my name and my phone number. When I arrived on the 26th at the reserved time of 7:30 p.m., only a closed door awaited us. We tried to contact her several times. As a result, the whole birthday fell through and we stood there with 8 people, cake and everything else, empty and without a place. It was visibly unpleasant for both me and the gods and filled us with deep sadness. This shouldn't happen, especially in a place like hers. It's simply unforgivable. They had my number and could have contacted me throughout the week that the reservation was already made instead of offending me like that. I expect both a statement and an apology.

Acabo de entrar. Sin reserva. No estaba seguro sobre el restaurante tan difícil de entender menú, pero el personal muy servicial. Tuvimos una comida de fideos de carne muy sabrosa. Mi esposa tenía pollo. Mi cerveza era muy agradable y mi esposa tenía muy agradable G&T grande. Me senté en el asiento oscilante novedad. Bastante ocupado, pero servido a su debido tiempo. Volveremos antes de salir de Berlín.

The 1987 Xigon is located at Nürnberger Str. 46, 10789 Berlin. This is an old rustic restaurant that needs renovation urgently needed. I drank Warsteiner beers here and ate a red curry with chicken schnitzel. Both were very delicious. The staff is very friendly, helpful, socially competent and very valuable. Chewed gum in the rice, cool - No response regarding the bill. If I felt like chewing gum, I would go to school and scrape one off under the table. So if you can't find any gumball machines anymore, you can definitely get some here - pre-chewed and slightly warm

Restaurant where you are not served. Staff incompetent and simply overwhelmed despite many free tables. Very unfortunate. Only recommended for people who are not hungry and would like to listen to the (much) too loud music.

We went to this restaurant with friends last night. What can I say - the disappointment started at the outside door. You could only pay with “cash only”. A rogue who thinks evil of it - I actually don't go into shops like that and turn around straight away, but friends of ours wanted to go here. Despite making a reservation at 7 p.m., we had to wait almost an hour for a table. Apparently our table has already been taken. Then we were seated sometime around 8pm and the service was subpar. Totally inattentive. The food arrived quickly, but shortly after eating our stomachs started to grumble. We mainly ordered sushi. My girlfriend was feeling really bad this morning as far as her stomach was concerned. In short: I would never have gone voluntarily and will definitely never go again. If you want to be annoyed and obviously don't want to eat particularly high-quality sushi, you're in good hands here, otherwise not.

Unfortunately, my side rice had chewed gum stuck to the edge of the bowl. When I mentioned this to the waiters, they apologized and offered me a drink on the house. To be honest, my appetite was gone after the discovery and I asked if it wasn't possible to just get the tea that I had previously ordered on the house instead. Unfortunately I was denied this on the grounds that you could no longer cancel the drinks I had booked. In my opinion, in a restaurant of this type, there should be no way that chewing gum ends up in the rice bowl that is served to the guest at the end. The least you can offer as compensation is either the spoiled food on the house or the drinks. After all, we're talking about spit-out chewing gum! It's a shame, I've actually been happy here so far, but after the experience I've lost my appetite for the future and I'm also disappointed with the staff's reaction to the incident.

Very stylish atmosphere. Mega friendly and courteous staff. The desserts were the creations of a world-class pastry chef and were beautifully prepared and delicious. Went there only for dessert but will be back for dinner to try the main courses too which looked very appealing.

I actually really enjoy eating here. But recently (I mean this sarcastically) their card machine isn't working. I was here 6 weeks ago and I thought that a new card machine would be brought in by then. Since then I've been here 3 times and each time "the card machine hasn't worked recently". It is clear that the new card device will not be purchased for other reasons (advantages ;)) And you are rarely warned.

An absolute highlight! This restaurant is without a doubt the best sushi restaurant I have visited so far. As soon as you enter the restaurant, you will notice the beautiful ambience, which creates a pleasant and relaxed atmosphere - perfect for a special evening.

We had reservation 02.11. on my birthday at 20:00 pm at this restaurant, we were here at 19:53 waited in line to lead us to our table. But they put some teens before us in the line at our table and made us just wait in the line , thanks to the crew it was just a standing birthday :)) don’t get some high hopes, they will let other people in your place!

So the food was really great, no question, but the service was subpar!!! We felt like we were ignored the whole evening! Then I asked if there were any specials for birthdays and the surprise was really the ultimate surprise: two fontaines written on halved limes and Happy Birthday with Siracha sauce on a plate, not even a mochi ice cream or a small dessert! Mega disappointing. It was just disastrous as I made a reservation there over a month ago! It was definitely my last visit!

The food is great (both the appetizer platters and the sushi platters). Unfortunately the service is inattentive and slow. I also find it absolutely inappropriate that the prices only allow you to pay in cash. But I would like to come back and hope that the service will be better then.

Great local great value for money

The food tasted delicious, but we were a bit unlucky with the service. All employees took a break (which I completely understand). So we had to wait a while to order. A nice location, but the prices are also a bit high.

This is one of the best Asian restaurants I have visited in Berlin. It serves from Vietnam and Japan, in the high-end kitchen style, prefect for date, something romantic, celebration with friends, or just want to treat yourself better. The food not only looks amazing but also tastes fantastic. The service is great, our waiter was really kind and helpful. Surely, it is more expensive than most places, but it is worth to visit.

He probado este lugar un par de veces ahora y siempre experimenté un servicio lento y la entrega aún peor. Ambas veces quise rendirme y cancelar ya que estaba pasando durante horas. Un sinfín de promesas de que aparece y se pone más y más tarde. Si quieres comida fría y tardía, este es el lugar. Los sabores y las ideas de los platos parecen prometedores, pero no logran ofrecer sabor y presentación. Las dos veces he pedido a través de la aplicación de entrega de comida, pero siempre ha sido un desastre. No volverá a probarlos por tercera vez.

Wir haben gestern den Geburtstag meiner Tochter dort gefeiert. Leider war der Service absolut unorganiesiert,was zu sehr langen Wartezeiten geführt hat,um ein zusätzliches Wasserglas zu bekommen mußte ich 5 mal nachfragen,ebenfalls wurde eine Flasche weiß Wein nach 30 min einfach mitten auf den Tisch ohne Tuch gestellt.. Ich habe 2 verschiedene sushi Menüs bestellt für 90 Euro und 52 Euro ,gebracht wurden jedoch genau zwei gleiche Platten,die für 7 Personen nicht gereicht haben.. Ehrlich gesagt war die Serviceleistung die 12 Euro Trinkgeld nicht wert.. Schade das Restaurant von unserem ersten Besuch wo wir sehr zufrieden waren, immer schlechter wird.. Wir hatten uns auf einen schönen Geburtstagsabend sehr gefreut,sind aber enttäuscht 😥 gegangen

It was very easy to find and really great. Nice service, very tasty food and homemade drinks. The presentation of the sushi was a highlight in itself. Unfortunately on the slightly more expensive side, but it was worth it.

The food was okay, but there was a lot of meat saved for the starter and main course. I have never experienced such wafer-thin slices. The service left a lot to be desired: our drinks were only served minutes after the starter. With about 70% occupancy, there was too little attention from the staff, even though we were sitting near the kitchen. In addition, the furnishings seemed relatively simple and boring. The price-performance ratio is disappointing: you can expect to pay €90 for two people, which only costs €60 2 blocks away. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this restaurant and will not visit it again.

This place should not serve sushi,sashimi or anything else to do with japanese cousine. Everything is full of sauses that don't fit. Service is on another low level, rude waiters. I'm a type of client who never complaints and gives extra tips and super friendly with everyone , but the moment i got in this "restaurant" i wanted to leave straight away.After i had an argument with the waiter i decided to give it a chance to see how food tastes. No comment. No organisation of the stuff that works here.

I had a good company dinner there, but I'm still waiting for a correct invoice today. Despite several calls, e-mails and even though I was in person at the restaurant - no one seems to feel responsible and there is no response. That doesn't work at all. NOT recommended for business purposes. *** A good month and various emails later, despite warm words in response to my review, I still don't have a bill. Just disappointing.

There was really nothing to complain about. The best sushi I've eaten so far. The arrangement was great. The price-performance ratio is unbeatable. On top of that, the service was super friendly and always there when you needed someone. It's definitely worth a visit and friends have already recommended it to everyone to stop by when they're in Berlin.

Worst service mentality in the catering industry. I don't know who lets people like that serve guests there. A lot of money for below-average food that looks fancy and is served by unsympathetic people.

So regular customers are our chicken in the food was raw in both dishes it was shown to the waiter unfortunately there was no reaction very unfriendly

The restaurant Xigon 1987 is nice place with interesting modern decoration. Sushi was great choice ( fresh and tasty ). ☝️Low stars are for waiter, she was arrogant, grumpy and annoyed if you are not enough fast with ordering food ( she was in rush so you rather order anything from menu even you probably pick something else). She acted like that to almost to everybody. Maybe she was in bad mood or do not like her job, but it is sad that one person could ruin view and recomnendition for the restaurant like that. I hope she will change attutide or job. Sorry to say, but it is true.

We had some Pad Thai, Sushi and warm noodle salad. The Pad Thai and noodle salad was completely over salted. Also , the portions are way too big - none of us was able to finish our portions. Food waste. The sushi was decent and also nicely presented. You can’t have a proper conversation since it’s way too loud. The service is terrible. They bring the drinks and food separately. We had to get a new knife because the one on the table was dirty - and had to ask 3 times for the replacement.

The ambience is really nice inside, but a bit boring outside. The sushi was good, but nothing special and the crunchy roll was unfortunately not so good to eat with chopsticks because the pieces were much too big. The service was really friendly but quite slow despite several waiters.

Really delicious sushi, high price but worth it every now and then! Cocktails are especially great.

Super bad service. When we arrived we were made aware that the cash register system was broken, meaning cash payment was only possible. So we quickly went to the machine again, but they couldn't tell us where one was. We then waited another 10 minutes to place our order. The drinks took 10/15 minutes. Then the starters came, but different ones than we ordered. This is because the cash register system is down and the orders are sent to the kitchen via WhatsApp… A few minutes later we received our sushi platter. Very very tasty. We were not asked whether the food tasted good. Also not whether we want to drink something else. Unfortunately, we didn't see any employees to draw attention to us. When we wanted to pay, a calculator was used to determine the amount to be paid. Craziness. At least that part could have been prepared (written on a piece of paper) during our stay. At no point was the staff able to apologize. With a sum of just under €200, given these circumstances, you could perhaps have spent something on the house or generally been a little more attentive. Overall, a delicious meal, but relatively expensive. The competition's service is better.

Very fancy place even if the music wasn't exactly suited to the character of the place. Food was very good and the menu is extensive. A little overpriced

Surround yourself with sushi - not with negativity. The menu of this stylishly furnished restaurant with the possibility of sitting outside invites you to do so. A first look at the menu shows that there seems to be a certain culinary standard here: the beef is called entrecote and, in addition to the obligatory dishes such as sushi and pho, there is also duck in orange teriyaki sauce. A second look, however, makes you swallow: the prices are high, even for proximity to the Kudamm. Simple sake maki should cost 7 euros, udon noodles with chicken a whopping 19, an iced tea 7.50. The food was well prepared and tasty, but nothing special. Overall, I find it difficult to follow the opening sentence. Addendum: when paying with card, the default tip was 15%...uncool move.

Had a reservation for 8pm. Showed up and was told to sit anywhere. We're given menus and that was the last interaction with the staff for the next 40 mins. Walked out, again with no staff speaking to us, and had a lovely italian meal across the road. Thoroughly recommend the meal at sale e pizzeria pepe across the road! We were seen to instantly and service was fast and friendly.

Super super delicious sushi! Always happy :) the service is also very attentive and friendly. Really recommended all around.
