The best restaurant ever experienced ! Generous, authentic, delicious !!!!!

It looks very inconspicuous from the outside but has incredibly delicious sushi and the prices are very, very good.

A very unassuming shop with delicious sushi and very friendly staff. I would go back again and again. The price was very good.

While visiting this sushi restaurant in Berlin, my friend had a bad cough and it was quite a chilly day. We only ordered sushi, but the owner (or perhaps the manager) kindly made her a special, healthy Asian tea – just for her throat and voice – without us even asking. It was such a thoughtful and caring gesture, and the tea was both soothing and delicious. The sushi was great, but the kindness and hospitality truly made this place unforgettable. Thank you!

The restroom was absolutely filthy. Back at the table, you can see the sushi kitchen, which is also very dirty. Unfortunately, I had already ordered. The taste was OK to good. The staff was very friendly. But dirty.

Even from the outside, the shop smells rather unpleasantly of a deep fryer. I went in because of the many good reviews and ordered sushi, which unfortunately tasted exactly like it smelled inside. I can't understand all the good reviews. The sushi rolls were much too big, poorly rolled, and tasted bad. There are other ways to make good sushi.

The food is amazing. I highly recommend the 471 with chicken! The quality and taste of the food are incredible! I'll definitely be back. The only thing is the ambiance. The place might not look like much, but the food makes up for it. The chef is very polite and really knows how to cook. You can see how the food is prepared and how much effort and love goes into it.

Service was really nice, and our order was prepared quickly without us having to go hungry. Top recommendation for in between and all sushi lovers!

Avoid this place! The sushi rice was really bad, and all the sushi was drenched in an overly sweet sauce that completely ruined the taste. The restaurant did not feel clean, was messy and had an unpleasant atmosphere. When we gently asked about the sauce, we were also rudely reprimanded. Definitely not something I can recommend!

Only docking one star cos we were the only people in there - I'm sure the atmosphere is lovely with a few tables. If, as other reviews have mentioned, this is a one-man band then good golly, he must get busy. We weren't sure about having sushi but clearly have made an error of judgment - that said the duck on rice and ramen were fantastic. He was a chipper, attentive yet subtle presence and I would encourage anyone in the area to grab some food here. BUT! Stock up on cash beforehand from a decent bank as there's only the rip-off ATMs here. As a UK tourist I was charged parity on the euro - €100 cost £100! Unbelievably expensive transaction. So make sure you already have your euros handy!

Great sushi: it tasted super fresh even on a Sunday afternoon. Really generous portions with a lot of fish. Miso Salmon soup, ebi avocado salad as well as the drinks (lemonade and tea) were also really yummy. We’ll be back for sure :)

For all sushi lovers who value quality and freshness, Umami Sushi is a must. Here you can get excellent sushi that impresses both in terms of taste and price. The family business impresses with freshly prepared sushi, which is made personally by the friendly owner. Each piece is prepared with great care and a generous filling, especially salmon. A visit is always worth it!

Linh (the cook and owner) prepared the best sushi I've had in a long time - and big portions. I've been trying different sushi spots in search of the one, and I think I've finally found it! On top of that, Linh has an amazing personality—he was singing when I arrived and politely asked if it was okay. Of course it was! It honestly brightened my day. Linh, consider hosting karaoke-sushi nights; I bet they'd be a hit. Thank you for the wonderful meal and atmosphere—see you soon!

We have known the restaurant for more than 7 years. We love visiting it both as a couple and with the children. The food always tastes fresh and seasoned to perfection, and I also have to add that the portions are really large. You will always receive friendly service and if you are not sure what to order, be sure to ask. I would always give excellent advice! So I tried new dishes that really surprised me in a positive way. Take it and visit the restaurant, it's worth it!

Excellent lunch! No nonsense and to the point restaurant. Tempura from big shrimps was super and our order of sashimi ( tuna and salmon), was combined in a beautifull plate. Rich portions with excellent price -quality. Taste authentic and mouth watering fresh big slices of sashimi

My visit to UMAMI Sushi was an absolute disaster. When I entered the store, I was immediately yelled at by the employees without even having a chance to say anything or order. I was treated like an intruder just because I entered the restaurant! Such behavior is absolutely unacceptable and shocking. I was so horrified that I turned around and left without even thinking about eating there. The service at this restaurant is not only rude but downright hostile. I can only strongly advise anyone not to visit this restaurant. I have never had such a terrible experience.

I come here often and always order sushi. The rolls are big and cheap, it's worth it! I'm always full and they taste really delicious. The chef is very nice and makes it quickly. I always order different rolls and so far all of them have been delicious. 100% recommended

We came here by chance and ordered a sushi platter. Since then we have come here every day on holiday. The sushi is amazing and the owner is extremely friendly. Didn't try any other dishes but the sushi was the best I've ever eaten.

Very, very good food for surprisingly little money. Teriyaki Yakitori is one of the best dishes I have ever eaten.

The sushi were pretty bland and bulky. It came with a tiny soy sauce in which none of the sushi fit. On the plus side it was prepared relatively quickly and well packed.

A small Asian restaurant, which we stumbled upon. Food was really good and you could tell it was freshly made. We had vegi dumplings and spring rolls and a vegi ramen which was excellent and a tom yum soup. The owner took the time to chat with us and was very friendly and efficient

Ein wunderbarer, wunderbar unscheinbarer Laden mit tollen Gerichten, wenn man sich von dem (organisierten) Chaos nicht beeindrucken lässt. Der Betreiber ist extrem freundlich. Leider steht man manchmal zur Mittagszeit vor verschlossenen Türen, was aber auch nicht verwunderlich ist, da der Betreiber den Laden komplett alleine schmeißt. Der Preis für die Qualität ist gerade zum Mittagessen unschlagbar.

Tolles Sushi und freundlicher Service

Sehr gutes Sushi! Besonders die Varianten mit Lachs sind sehr zu empfehlen. Der Chef verarbeitet den Lachs wohl komplett selbst, sagte er. Eine der Special Rolls enthielt mehr Lachs als Reis. Die Ingwer-Tees sind auch sehr zu empfehlen! Siehe Foto
